Illegal aliens’ attempted breach of military base was ‘dry run’ for future attack, says former staffer

Dave Katz, a former federal firearms instructor who worked at Marine Corps Base Quantico near Triangle, Virginia, toldFox News Digital that the attempted breach of the base earlier this month by two foreign nationals may have been a "dry run" for a future attack.

Katz, a former DEA agent and the CEO and founder of Global Security Group, warned that a similar, more dangerous incident could occur again. He told Fox News Digital, "Driving the box truck was a dry run for driving a box truck that was not going to be empty the second time."

"Can I prove that? No. But it's like the 9/11 hijackers trying to get aboard planes with box cutters on other occasions prior to actually perpetrating the act," he added.

'This would be the very first terror attack on US soil from somebody who crossed the border illegally.'

Katz called the incident at the military base the "equivalent of a feasibility study" for the two Jordanian nationals who allegedly executed the stunt.

On May 3, two males driving a box truck attempted to enter the base when they were stopped by security,Blaze News previously reported. The men told the guards they were contracted drivers trying to complete an Amazon delivery. After failing to produce proper identification, law enforcement authorities instructed the men to wait in a holding area so that a secondary check could be conducted.

Captain Michael Curtis toldPotomac Local News, the local media outlet that first reported the incident, that the men ignored the guard's instructions and attempted "to move the vehicle past the holding area."

Authorities quickly engaged the vehicle-denial barriers, preventing the box truck from proceeding. Curtis reported that the two men were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It has since been confirmed that both of the individuals were in the United States illegally.

One of the men illegally crossed the southern border into California in April, while the other male was in the country with an expired student visa.

Katz told Fox News Digital that he is skeptical of the men's cover story.

"A student overstay somehow gets in contact with someone illegally crossing into the U.S. on the other side of the country. Both of them wind up in that truck," Katz stated. "There is no possible explanation for what happened other than a sinister one."

"Can anyone come up with any reasonable explanation as to why two illegal aliens from Jordan would be driving a box truck in a sensitive area, other than to try to make a dry run for a future incident?" Katz continued. "If you can't provide an explanation for that, it's terror related."

Fox News Digital reported that neither ICE nor the FBI responded to a request for comment.

The federal government has not announced any evidence of a terrorism motivation, but it has not been ruled out either, Todd Bensman with the Center for Immigration Studies recentlyreported. He believes the incident marks the "first-ever border-crossing terror attack."

During a recent interview on the "Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz," Bensman said, "If this is what I strongly believe it is, a terror attack on a highly symbolic U.S. military base ... then, this would be the very first terror attack on U.S. soil from somebody who crossed the border illegally."

Bensman told Horowitz that such an event would be "highly significant in an electoral sense."

"The Biden administration is already failing on that issue in such a significant way that he could lose the election over the border crisis. If you were to add a terror attack — national security consummation of a national from a terror attack — then, Donald Trump would obviously grab that like a sledgehammer and start swinging it non stop. I don't think Donald Trump even knows about this yet," Bensman continued. "But even more important than the political aspect of it is the fact that if they don't tell us that this wasn't a terror attack, if they don't rule it out, or rule it in, and ... it just goes away. That means that they are opting to just not fix a major problem at the border."

Cori Bush says labeling 'cisgender' a slur marks 'a blatant attempt to erase trans identities'

After Elon Musk declared that the term "cisgender" and the accompanying abbreviation "cis" are counted as slurs on Twitter, Democratic Rep. Cori Bush of Missouri pushed back, asserting that the term is not a slur.

"'Cisgender' is not a slur. It is a term used used in scientific, legal, medical, and everyday contexts. The attempt to make 'cis' a slur is a blatant attempt to erase trans identities from a supposed 'free speech absolutist.' Trans people exist. Cis people exist," tweeted Bush, a left-wing lawmaker who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2021.

Musk had indicated that there will be consequences for tweets that use the term.

"Repeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions. The words 'cis' or 'cisgender' are considered slurs on this platform," Musk noted. He also stated that those who use the term "won't get suspended unless they do an egregious coordinated attack, but their post will see much less reach, as it will not be recommended to others."

When someone asked Musk whether the term is a slur if people self-identify as cisgender, Musk replied, "Call yourself anything you want."

"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling has also weighed in on the use of the term.

"'Cis' is ideological language, signifying belief in the unfalsifiable concept of gender identity. You have a perfect right to believe in unprovable essences that may or may not match the sexed body, but the rest of us have a right to disagree, and to refuse to adopt your jargon," Rowling tweeted.

"Exactly," Musk replied.

JK Rowling weighs in on the term 'cis,' calling it 'ideological language'

Proponents of radical leftist gender ideology use the term "cisgender" to refer to people who identify with their biological sex, but author J.K. Rowling of "Harry Potter" fame has noted that people have the right to decline to use such language.

"Exactly," Twitter owner Elon Musk replied.

Musk has declared that the terms "cisgender" and the abbreviation "cis" count as "slurs" on Twitter.

"Repeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions. The words 'cis' or 'cisgender' are considered slurs on this platform," Musk has tweeted.

Musk made the comment in response to James Esses, who had noted that "after posting a Tweet saying that I reject the word 'cis' and don’t wish to be called it, I receive a slew of messages from trans activists calling me 'cissy' and telling me that I am 'cis' 'whether or not I like it'." Esses then added, "Just imagine if the roles were reversed."

After Musk replied by saying that the term is a slur, Esses praised him.

"Thank you for standing up for reality, Elon," Esses tweeted.

"To those who have asked - this is not restricting free speech. I did not request, nor did Elon agree, to suspend accounts for using the term 'cis'. He is talking about 'repeated, targeted harassment'. What this does is restore parity and common sense," Esses also tweeted.

"Yes," Musk wrote, expressing his agreement with Esses' comments.

When someone asked Musk whether "cis" represents a slur when someone self-identifies with the term, Musk responded, "Call yourself anything you want."

Elon Musk deems LGBT activists' terms 'cisgender' and 'cis' to be slurs on Twitter

Elon Musk has taken another consequential stand against gender ideology and its exponents, this time prohibiting the abusive and repeated use of the neologisms "cis" and "cisgender" on Twitter.

The move was spurred by an apparent LGBT activist harassment campaign targeting a gender ideology critic.

James Esses is the co-founder of Thoughtful Therapists, a U.K.-based advocacy group of counselors, clinical psychologists, and psychotherapists "with a shared concern about the impact of gender identity ideology on children and young people."

Esses tweeted Monday, "I formally and publicly declare that I reject the label of 'cis'. I don’t believe in gender ideology. I don’t self-identify as 'cis'. Using this term makes me feel unsafe and is demonstrative of your hatred towards me. Anyone who uses the term 'cis' to describe me is a bigot."

LGBT activists took the bait, barraging Esse with messages calling him "cis," a "cissy," and accusing him of having a "cissyfit."

Esses eventually responded, noting he had received a "slew of messages from trans activists calling me 'cissy' and telling me that I am 'cis' 'whether or not I like it,'" adding, "Just imagine if the roles were reversed."

Early Wednesday morning, Musk laid down the law, writing, "Repeated, targeted harassment against any account will cause the harassing accounts to receive, at minimum, temporary suspensions. The words 'cis' or 'cisgender' are considered slurs on this platform."

Musk's prohibition on the abusive use of the term on Twitter was widely celebrated. His post had received over 147,000 likes at the time of publication.

Esses thanked Musk for "standing up for reality."

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, tweeted, "Transgender extremism, being totalitarian, depends on the abuse of language and meaning."

A May 3 Twitter poll of over 52,000 users found that 78.2% of respondents agreed "cis" was a slur."

While McGill University's Office for Science and Society noted that the prefix "cis" has long been used in the sciences to mean "on this side" whereas "trans" has been used to mean "on the other side of, "cisgender" is a specific ideology-advancing term that presumes the possibility of a severance of gender and sex.

The LGBT activist publication Advocate reported that the term further serves to imply that straightness is not the default and that "being trans" is not abnormal.

The Oxford English Dictionary added the word "cisgender" to its listing in 2015.

Concerning the inclusion of the term, the OED stated, "Since 1994 ... when the word cisgendered was used by an American academic appealing for help with a study of transgender issues, cis– has taken on a new lease of life in a group of words which provide a direct equivalent to identity terms such as transgender and transsexual when referring to people who are not trans, i.e., those whose sense of their own personal identity corresponds to their birth sex."

Merriam-Webster followed suit in 2016, adding "cisgender" along with the term "genderqueer," defining the former thusly: "of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity corresponds with the sex the person had or was identified as having at birth."

Genevieve Gluck, co-founder of the feminist publication Reduxx, indicated the terms "cisgender" and "cissexual" were first used by German "pedosexual" apologist Volkmar Siguschin in a 1991 publication titled "Transsexuals and our Nosomorphic View."

"Speaking of cissexuals. If there are transsexuals, logically there must be cissexuals. One is not to be thought without the other at all. I have allowed myself to introduce the terms cissexualism, cissexuals, cisgender etc.," Sigusch wrote, according to Gluck.

Gluck further noted that "Dagmar Herzog, author of Sex after Fascism: Memory and Morality in Twentieth-Century Germany, Volkmar Sigusch and his colleague Gunter Schmidt, with whom he published research on child sexuality in the 70's, also argued that exposing children to pornography – a well-known grooming tactic of pedophiles – was completely harmless."

In reply to Gluck's backgrounder on the pedophile apologist behind the term "cisgender," Musk wrote, "Yup, the contemptible creep that manufactured the term 'cis' has serious problems. Ignore him."
