Radical climate change activists hurl soup at Mona Lisa painting in Louvre, critics demand police 'lock them up'

Radical climate change activists hurled soup at the Mona Lisa painting inside the Louvre Museum in Paris on Sunday.

Video shows the moment that two women approach the Mona Lisa painting and then douse Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece with soup.

The women reportedly shouted, "What’s the most important thing? Art, or right to a healthy and sustainable food?"

Louvre employees were seen on video placing black panels in front of the Italian Renaissance masterpiece and asking visitors to evacuate the room.

No damage was done to the classic piece of art since it rests behind bulletproof glass.

"Two activists from the environmental movement ‘Riposte Alimentaire’ sprayed pumpkin soup on the armored glass protecting the Mona Lisa, this Sunday, January 28, 2024, around 10 a.m. (4 a.m. ET)," the Louvre Museum said in a statement. "The Louvre’s security staff immediately intervened."

Paris police said two individuals were arrested following the incident.

The radical environmental group Riposte Alimentaire – which roughly translates to "Food Response" – took credit for the soup attack on the Mona Lisa painting and demanded "the integration of food into the general social security system."

The climate change group said on the X social media platform, "Our agricultural and food system also has extremely worrying environmental consequences."

"This violence weighing on our food and on those who allow it has clear causes: the agri-food industry increased its margins to 48% last year, and its excessive profits are estimated to be responsible for two-thirds of inflation," the ecological group claimed. "Agriculture is responsible for 21% of national greenhouse gas emissions and contributes greatly to the deterioration of our biodiversity and the impoverishment of soils, due to the massive use of inputs."

The group identified the women as 24-year-old Sasha and 63-year-old Marie-Juliette.

The Mona Lisa is arguably one of the most famous and iconic paintings in the world – drawing millions of visitors every year. Leonardo da Vinci created the artwork between 1503 and 1506.

Numerous online commentators were outraged at the attempted vandalism of the iconic painting and called on authorities to throw the book at the radical climate change activists.

The Libs of TikTok account: "Climate activists threw soup at the Mona Lisa in the Louvre Museum today. Employees responded by holding up curtains to block visitors from seeing. These climate t*rr*rists need to be arrested and given long prison sentences. This needs to stop."

Journalist Tom Fitton: "Left-wing terrorists (or, as media calls them, "climate activists") attack the "Mona Lisa." Another reminder the Left are enemies of history, memory, and beauty.

Women's sports activist Riley Gaines: "Ah, yes. Defacing the Mona Lisa with soup will immediately make everyone stop burning & developing fossil fuels. Great idea Lock them up."

The Culture Critic account: "Soup being thrown at the Mona Lisa by climate zealots. Security just sits idly and watches. Once again, the sad truth is that this is being ALLOWED to happen by the gallery. This has happened enough times now for there to be a rapid response protocol – yet nothing ever stops them. These institutions are no longer fit to be custodians of these masterpieces."

Journalist Rita Panahi: "How are these climate cultists getting so close to masterpieces armed with paint, soup, hammers, etc? This time they’ve attacked the Mona Lisa. Jail."

Writer Andrew Doyle: "Environmental activists at the Louvre have sprayed the Mona Lisa with soup. It’s no coincidence that those who are disgusted by humanity wish to desecrate its greatest achievements."

The @Amuse account: "Destroying the Mona Lisa will have no impact on the global average temperature."

This is the most EPIC takedown of climate activists you’ve EVER seen

Climate change activists aren’t exactly known for their logic. Many of them seem to think lying in front of cars, gluing themselves to various objects, and vandalizing art will magically tip the scale toward a greener future.

That was certainly the mentality the “Seven Circles,” an anti-capitalist climate activist group, had at this year’s Burning Man festival in Nevada.

The group set up in the middle of the road leading to the festival, refusing to let traffic pass, but little did they know, they were in for what Sara Gonzales calls “the greatest takedown [she] can remember.”

Sara plays the video of rangers plowing over the group’s signs and trailer with their truck before forcing every member to lie on the ground. One woman refuses to comply and is yanked to the ground by an officer.

Another group member can be heard shrieking, “We’re not violent!” in the background, as their entire setup is obliterated.

“If you are blocking my right to travel freely, that is an act of aggression; that is not peaceful,” says Sara, who is reveling in the epic takedown.

“You've convinced literally zero people – nobody has been convinced by any of [this] stupid sh**,” she rails.

Climate change extremists glue themselves to German airport runways, cause travel turmoil

Climate change extremists caused travel turmoil at two German airports after the radicals glued themselves to the runways to protest pollution.

The Last Generation – a self-described "national student-led organization focused on raising awareness for climate change and environmental injustice" – blocked air traffic at airports in Hamburg and Düsseldorf. The so-called protest over environmental issues by "Letzte Generation" caused dozens of flight cancellations and hours of delays in Germany on Thursday.

Seven members of the Last Generation illegally broke into the airfield at Düsseldorf Airport by cutting through a security fence, according to the New York Post. All of the individuals reportedly glued themselves to the airport runway.

There were nine people who breached the perimeter fence around Hamburg Airport, and eight of the trespassers glued themselves to the tarmac around 6 a.m. on Thursday. One environmental activist was arrested, according to German authorities.

The Economic Times reported, "Affixing their hands using concrete and epoxy resin, the group aimed to raise awareness of the lack of action being taken to tackle climate change."

A 21-year-old environmental extremist said, "We can't watch any longer as our Earth burns with our government adding fuel to the fire every day with their fossil madness. That's why we're blocking the airport today."

The Last Generation said the protest was ignited by the government's "lack of planning" and "breaking the law" over greenhouse emissions causing the so-called climate crisis.

The Last Generation proclaimed, "Why the protest at the airport? If not at an airport, where is the right place to protest the destruction of our livelihoods?"

"The world is on fire and we are the last generation to have a chance to pick up the fire extinguisher," the radical climate change group stated. "Instead, we allow our government to subsidize air travel, a major catastrophe accelerator, with billions annually. It is like a collective suicide and we can no longer accept that."

"Instead of presenting a concrete plan to prevent this and to reach the emissions-reduction target called for by law, the Transport Ministry is relying on ‘technological flexibility,'" the Last Generation said in a statement.

There were reportedly 46 Hamburg flights canceled, delayed, or diverted.

The climate change protests occurred on the first day of schools being on vacation for the summer.

The extremists were arrested for disturbing the peace, coercive behavior, and dangerous interference with aviation, according to police.

German Transport Minister Volker Wissing declared, "The Last Generation isn’t protecting the climate, they’re engaged in criminal activity."

Let them fight: Climate change activists disrupt Pride march, accuses LGBTQ+ progressives of failing 'marginalized communities'

Two progressive groups found themselves at odds during the London Pride march on Saturday when climate change activists intentionally halted an LGBTQ+ float.

Members of Just Stop Oil – a self-described "coalition of groups working together to ensure the government commits to halting new fossil fuel licensing and production" – disrupted the London Pride march. Seven members of the environmental group stopped an LGBT float sponsored by Coca-Cola.

The climate change radicals were seen on video spraying pink and black paint on the pavement and on the open-air bus draped with rainbow flags. The climate change activists then sat on the road in front of the float, preventing the bus from moving forward in the parade.

The Guardian reported, "After 16 minutes, police arrested seven protesters for public nuisance offenses and the parade continued again one minute later."

— (@)

Just Stop Oil defended interfering with the Pride parade because the group demanded organizers of the Pride march "make a statement condemning new oil and gas licenses."

"Pride in London have failed to do this, so we have taken action," Just Stop Oil said. "Who do you think will be the first to suffer the consequences of societal collapse? It will be marginalized communities, such as the LGBTQ+ community. Pride have a responsibility to take action to protect their community, and they are failing."

Just Stop Oil accused organizers of the Pride march of "working with industries complicit in worsening the climate crisis."

"Pride is a protest. But Pride in London allows destructive industries such as Coca-Cola, who are the world's biggest plastic polluter and who have been accused of numerous human rights abuses, to co-opt it and pinkwash themselves," Just Stop Oil added.

"Pride in London has failed to address and take responsibility for these relationships. New oil and gas is a death sentence for millions of people, and the LGBTQ+ community will be one of the first to suffer," the environmental group stated.

Will De'Athe-Morris, from Pride in London, told the BBC, "Pride is a protest and pride is a celebration. We are protesting for LGBTQ+ rights and for our trans siblings in a separate march alone."

"So for us anyone who tries to disrupt that protest and parade is really letting down those people who use this space once a year to come together to celebrate and protest for those rights," De'Athe-Morris said.

'We won't see an Oct. 14 commission, will we?' - Chad Prather TORCHES Left-wing hypocrites

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spent an excessive amount of time throughout 2021 on her crusade to convince the American public that the events that erupted on Jan. 6 at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., was an insurrection.

In the months that followed, Pelosi formed a Jan. 6 commission to investigate the incident. The investigation led to the arrest of more than 600 American protesters, many of whom have since reported being held in solitary confinement while they awaited trial.

Now fast forward to Oct. 14. It was a Thursday and the fourth day of protests as a part of People vs. Fossil Fuels action in the nation's capital. Demonstrators demanded that President Joe Biden stop approving fossil fuel projects and declare a national climate emergency.

According to reports, "Climate activists with the group rallied outside the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, with some climbing onto a ledge to release smoke flares. Others used retrofitted fire extinguishers to spray fake oil on the building."

In this clip, Chad Prather, host of "The Chad Prather Show," was fired up over the hypocrisy that was on full display as Pelosi, the media, and the rest of the Democratic Party seemed unaffected by the following events:

The Washington Post reported:

"Police and climate activists clashed Thursday during protests at the Interior Department, with security personnel sustaining "multiple injuries" and one officer being taken to a hospital, agency spokeswoman Melissa Schwartz said.
Climate demonstrators were attempting to occupy the Interior Department, with dozens entering the Stewart Lee Udall Main Interior Building on C Street NW. Those who remained outside clashed with police as they tried to keep the one unlocked door open. At times, protesters attempted to push past the police line.
The protesters were here for People vs. Fossil Fuels, five days of demonstrations by a coalition of groups known as Build Back Fossil Free that has included Indigenous leaders from across the country. The coalition's name is a nod to President Biden's "Build Back Better" agenda.
People vs. Fossil Fuels said in a statement that 55 people were arrested during the protest, including Indigenous leaders, and said police "acted aggressively" by using Tasers on at least two people and batons to hit others. A spokesperson for the Federal Protective Service, which Schwartz said responded to the protest to "mitigate the situation," did not immediately respond to a request for comment on police tactics and arrests.
Protesters said they wanted to speak with Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, the first Native American to hold the position. Haaland was traveling outside Washington at the time, Schwartz said in a statement.
"Interior Department leadership believes strongly in respecting and upholding the right to free speech and peaceful protest," Schwartz said in a statement. "It is also our obligation to keep everyone safe. We will continue to do everything we can to de-escalate the situation while honoring first amendment rights."

Chad predicted that left-wing politicians and the mainstream media would continue their silence on the issue despite the similarities to the Jan, 6 "insurrection".

"We won't hear about an Oct.14 commission, will we? These people will not be locked away in solitary confinement, will they?" Chad asked rhetorically. "Hypocrites!"

Climate change activists storm and take over Department of Interior building

A demonstration in Washington, D.C., against fossil fuel projects turned violent Thursday when climate change protesters stormed the U.S. Department of the Interior building and occupied a space inside the federal building for hours.

There have been protests this week in Washington, D.C., as part of the People Vs. Fossil Fuels demonstrations, demanding President Joe Biden to declare a national climate emergency and end fossil fuel projects. The activists are fiercely against oil pipelines such as the Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota.

Each day, the protests have different climate change-related themes:

  • Monday, October 11: Indigenous Peoples' Day
  • Tuesday, October 12: Fossil fuels are driving the climate crisis
  • Wednesday, October 13: Climate chaos is happening now
  • Thursday, October 14: We need real solutions, not false promises
  • Friday, October 15: We did not vote for fossil fuels (youth-led action)

In the first three days of protests, nearly 300 climate change activists were arrested, according to organizers of the People Vs. Fossil Fuels demonstrations.

The protests escalated to violence during Thursday's protests when activists attempted to barge into the Department of the Interior building. An Interior Department spokeswoman told the Associated Press that a group of protesters rushed the lobby of the federal building.

Washington Post reporter Ellie Silverman shared video of climate change activists infiltrating the Department of the Interior building on Oct. 14.

"Climate protesters are pushing police, trying to force their way into the Department of the Interior where other activists have made it inside in an attempt to occupy the building," Silverman wrote on Twitter.

Climate activists took over the space held by the Bureau of Indian Affairs for roughly four hours. This was reportedly the first time since the 1970s that the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington, D.C., was occupied. The Indigenous Environmental Network, one of the organizers of the People Vs. Fossil Fuels demonstrations, are demanding the Biden administration abolish the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs.

There were allegedly more than 50 occupiers in the building. Some are seen sitting in a circle on the floor with their hands zip-tied together to make them more difficult to be removed.

Security personnel suffered "multiple injuries" during the clash – including one officer who needed to be transported to a nearby hospital, according to Jim Goodwin, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Protective Service.

Interior Secretary Deb Haaland was reportedly traveling on Thursday and was not in the building during the protest.

"Interior Department leadership believes strongly in respecting and upholding the right to free speech and peaceful protest," Melissa Schwartz, a spokeswoman for Haaland, said in a statement. "Centering the voices of lawful protesters is and will continue to be an important foundation of our democracy. It is also our obligation to keep everyone safe. We will continue to do everything we can to de-escalate the situation while honoring First Amendment rights."

Ryan Zinke, the secretary of the Interior during the Trump administration, was incensed by the "blatant lawlessness and endangerment of staff."

The reports and photos from the Department of the Interior headquarters are shocking and frankly sickening. Never under my watch would such blatant lawlessness and endangerment of staff and law enforcement have been permitted. Where is the liberal outrage now against lawlessness and destruction of government property? Deafeningly silent of course. I never cared about cancel culture activist backlash, and I don't care now. The left must not hide behind identity politics and instead recognize this for what it is: A planned and organized effort to destroy government property and incite violence against federal employees and law enforcement officials. I doubt they will, but their silence speaks louder than any token statement they release.
