'That's what happens to virgins': UFC's Colby Covington comically manhandles TikTok influencer who challenged him

Former interim UFC lightweight champion Colby Covington accepted a challenge from a TikTok influencer resulting in a laughable beatdown of the young star.

Covington agreed to spar Kaz Sawyer, a 23-year-old content creator with a whopping nine million TikTok followers, with another near two million followers on Instagram.

"Today, we're sparring!" Covington screamed at the start of the video. The two set rules that the UFC star could only try to defend himself, not throw punches, while the influencer was allowed to punch, kick, and try to tackle him.

'Anyone comes around here thinking they're tough, they end up like that.'

"I think I'm tapping him out," Sawyer jokingly said before the spar started.

Sawyer began by saying it was "pretty intense" to step into the cage, but then gained some confidence when he realized Covington wasn't allowed to hit back.

Showcasing the stark difference between a trained fighter and a regular person, the influencer barely landed any strikes on the evasive Covington throughout the sparring session, even with the slanted rules.

After tiring himself out, Sawyer noted he was "exhausted," at which point, Covington decided he didn't want to follow the rules anymore.
"Now, it's my turn," the 170-pound fighter said.

"This is not a part of the rules!" Sawyer screamed as Covington began posturing to throw punches.

Covington toyed with Sawyer as he landed body punches and eventually grabbed a hold of the young creator.

"Colby! Stop!" the influencer yelled.

"He's gonna take a nice little trip to the hospital," Covington joked after playfully slamming the influencer to the mat.

What made the video more shocking was that Covington didn't even take off his hat for the duration of the sparring session.

"That's what happens to virgins around here!" Covington yelled as Sawyer was sarcastically taken away in a wheelchair. "We take you to the hospital, we take your lunch money, we stuff you into lockers. We give you a good swirly," the fighter continued. "Anyone comes around here thinking they're tough, they end up like that."

UFC fighters have increasingly accepted challenges from online commentators and influencers in recent years, something that would have been unheard of for previous generations of fighters. Whether it is to expand their online reach or to simply show their talent level compared to a commoner, fighters are popping up on a lot of social media feeds.

This was as least the second time Covington strapped up his gloves to spar with an influencer; the welterweight toyed with a YouTuber named Lofe in late 2023 but didn't take it as easy on the young star, who admittedly has martial arts training.

Similarly, former UFC champion Sean Strickland has accepted challenges as well. However, Strickland informs his opponents before stepping in the cage that he will not be holding back at all. This included a challenge from commentator Sneako in February 2024, when Strickland more than likely caused a concussion to yet another young online personality.

Joe Rogan reacted to that video negatively, saying it's "not a good look" for a fighter.

"He beat the s*** out of that guy. I don't know why he wanted to do that," Rogan continued. "It's not fair," he added.

'If you don’t like it ... he’s gonna get punched in the face': Dana White stands by fighters' right to express any view they want

UFC President Dana White continued his defense of First Amendment principles, insisting that fighters can present any political or personal views they wish, without any pressure from the company.

White discussed company politics, business, and more with former Republican nominee Vivek Ramaswamy on "The Truth Podcast." Ramaswamy asked the fight promoter about his hiring practices in relation to beliefs.

White quickly went in-depth on Tyron Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion who was a staunch supporter of Black Lives Matter.

"We had a guy early on when the COVID thing started, Tyron Woodley. He came out in Black Lives Matter everything. I think he had Black Lives Matter socks on, covered head to toe in Black Lives Matter," White explained.

"At the press conference leading up to his fight, they would ask him a question and he would say, ‘Black Lives Matter.’ They’d ask him another one – ‘Black Lives Matter.' I didn’t say s*** to him, knock yourself out," he added.

UFC fighter Tyron Woodley REALLY wants to let you know that BLACK LIVES MATTER! 😂😂
— (@)

White also spoke about fighter Colby Covington, a Trump supporter who once took a call from the president after a victory, as well as Sean Strickland, another UFC champion who made international headlines after a spat with a Canadian reporter about Strickland's remarks on transgender people.

"This is America. Everybody can have their own opinion. I’m not telling anybody what to do, what to say, what to think, how to feel. We’re human beings in America, do your thing, knock yourself out, I’ve got the platform," White went on. "People get pissed off, people get offended, people get this and that. We just had it happen with Sean Strickland."

Idk who this guy is and I don't care but you're not a man... But you'd take that as a compliment.....
— (@)

In addition to letting fighters express their preferred political views without reprisal, White explained that the UFC doesn't even inject impartial political matters into the workplace.

"I have the best team in the world and we're all aligned no matter what our political views," the company president said. "Nothing ever goes out here like 'hey the elections are coming up, get out there and vote!' ... You're all grown men and women, you know the election's coming up. If you want to vote, vote. If you don't, don't."

White later offered advice he would give an up-and-coming professional or even his younger self and said "don't listen to anyone."

"The hardest thing in life is figuring out who you are and what you want to do for the rest of your life. ... Once you figure that out, you wake up every day and work toward it."

UFC superstar tears into LeBron James after he is caught ignoring national anthem: 'Come deal with me'

UFC superstar Colby Covington blasted LeBron James on Wednesday after the Los Angeles Lakers' star power forward was caught on camera ignoring the national anthem.

On Sunday, James attended a USC Trojans basketball game to watch his son, Bronny James, make his collegiate basketball debut. But James went viral after he walked into the Galen Center while the national anthem was being sung. When James reached his court-side seat, the NBA legend did not remain standing in observance of the anthem. Instead, he immediately sat down.

During a press conference for UFC 296, Covington called out LeBron James for his history of kowtowing to China and his irreverence for the U.S.

"F*** LeBron James. If you hate America so much and you don’t like this country that gave you a billion dollars, leave it or come deal with me," Covington said.

"You go to China, go to these sweat shops that you employ all these laborers and use these women and pay them pennies on the dollar to make your millions," he continued. "F*** you, LeBron James. You're a coward. You're a spineless coward, and you're a b**ch."

Covington actually made those comments after he had completed his press conference. He had walked away from the microphone, but returned about a minute later to condemn James.

While wearing a "Make America Great Again" suit jacket complete with former President Donald Trump's signature and a red, white, and blue version of his mugshot on the back, the welterweight fighter also spoke on politics.

"I can't believe they're using the Justice Department against [Trump]. Do you guys realize how corrupt this system is right now? They're weaponizing the justice system, the DOJ — it's political persecution," Covington said.

"They're scared of [Trump]. They know he's the greatest threat to the swamp. He stands for democracy, and they don't like that. There's a bunch of communist people running this country right now, and we need to get them out," he continued. "Our borders are wide open, inflation is higher than it's ever been. Our streets are burning, and we're sending money to Ukraine? For what? What happened to America first? That's what Donald Trump stands for."

LeBron James’ latest disgrace & UFC’s Colby Covington’s hilarious response

Certainly LeBron James loves the fact that he’s a billionaire; what’s ironic (and hypocritical), however, is the fact that he hates the country that paved the way for him to become a billionaire.

His latest cringeworthy political stunt occurred at his son’s basketball game this past Tuesday. The Laker’s power forward was filmed arrogantly walking into the arena during the national anthem and then sitting down as the song continued to play.

Dave Rubin is disgusted by the flagrant disregard for our country but is also not surprised.

“This has been consistent with LeBron James kneeling for the national anthem, sitting for the national anthem, [and] all of the BLM nonsense,” he criticizes. “Michael Jordan, who is the true best player in basketball history ... went out of his way to be apolitical” because “he knew that everybody bought sneakers, everybody watched basketball, [and] that you watch sports and you participate in sports to get away from the day to day nonsense of the world” — a concept LeBron clearly doesn’t understand.

Dave isn’t the only one who is repulsed by the superstar’s behavior, though.

UFC legend Colby Covington also had some choice words for the athlete’s unapologetic disrespect.

“If you hate America so much and you don’t like this country that gave you a billion dollars, leave it,” he said, “or come deal with me.”

“Go to China, go to the sweatshops where you employ all these laborers and use these women and pay them pennies on the dollar to make your millions.”

“F*** you ... You’re a spineless coward, and you’re a b****,” he fired before literally dropping the microphone and stalking off the stage.

“I wanna get that guy on the show,” laughs Dave.

UFC star shreds 'piece of crap' LeBron James — who’s only concerned with 'lining his own pockets and bowing down to China'

UFC star Colby Covington hit out at "piece of crap" NBA heavyweight LeBron James during a recent podcast interview with Steve Bannon, eviscerating the Los Angeles Lakers star for his hypocrisy.

What are the details?

During an interview on "Bannon's War Room," Covington said that he refuses to be silenced when it comes to speaking up on what he believes are slights to America and her heroes.

“The biggest thing is that I'm in the UFC, so I'm an independent contractor," Covington said. "I don't have to bow down to anybody. No one is going to tell me how I'm going to think, or tell me what I'm going to do. I don't have a commissioner breathing down my neck saying 'Hey. If you don't say this or run with this narrative then we're going to cut you or take away your endorsements.' So, thankfully in the UFC I'm able to speak my voice."

The outspoken conservative UFC fighter said that he sees nothing but "hypocrisy" from James and the rest of the NBA, which he said bows down to China despite its human rights atrocities.

“I just see all the hypocrisy from LeBron. He claims to be about social justice but he won't say 'Free Hong Kong.' He won't talk about the Uyghurs that are locked up in concentration camps in China," Covington added. “He won't talk about all the women that he's profiting off of in his Chinese sweatshops that are making all his shoes — for dollars — that he's coming over to America and selling them for hundreds and profiting millions off of here in America."

Covington explained that he felt it was his duty to speak up against James and what he indicates is virtue-signaling.

“I just wanted to call a spade a spade. I wasn't going to let him dupe the people and make the people think he's a social justice warrior and he's on this pedestal," he insisted. “No, LeBron James is not on a pedestal. That guy is a piece of crap. He's a piece of garbage. He uses that school that he's funding as a tax write off and then he wants to claim that he's some good guy.

"No, he's not a good guy, man. All he cares about is lining his own pockets and bowing down to China," Covington continued. "The real heroes in this country are the heroes of law enforcement, are the heroes in military. Those are the people that are protecting our freedoms and fighting for us everyday and sacrificing the ultimate sacrifice — their lives to keep us free."

UFC star predicts Trump 'landslide' in fiery post-victory speech — then Trump calls him live on air

UFC star Colby Covington delivered a booming post-victory speech Saturday night during which he predicted President Donald Trump will defeat Joe Biden in a "landslide" and took a shot at NBA star LeBron James and "woke athletes."

Later, Trump called Covington when he was live on air for another post-victory interview.

What did Covington say?

After Covington's fight, which he won with a total knockout, the UFC star said "Sleepy Joe" — the nickname the president has mockingly assigned Biden — will get the same result as his opponent this November at the ballot box.

"Ladies and gentleman, the silent majority is ready to make some noise. If you thought that was a beating wait until November 3rd, when Donald Trump gets his hands on Sleepy Joe. That's gonna be a landslide," Covington said.

Then Covington showered praise on first responders before taking a shot at NBA star LeBron James and "woke athletes."

"I want to dedicate this fight to all the first responders, all the military out there," he said. "This world would not be safe without you guys. You keep us safe and not these woke athletes. I'm sick of these woke athletes and these spineless cowards like LeBron James."

The Trump phone call

Later, during an interview with ESPN, Covington, wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat adorned with Trump's autograph, received a personal call from Trump.

"You're a great fighter, man," Trump said. "I tell you, you make it so easy, I don't know how the hell you do that. Congratulations, I wanted to watch that fight tonight, I wanted to watch it, you were great."

Covington replied, "Thank you so much, Mr. President. You gave me the dragon energy when you shook my hand on Sunday at your rally. It doesn't matter if King Kong was in front of me, I was not going to lose after getting to shake your hand."

The UFC star added that it did not matter who he fought, no one could stop him from winning after having met Trump personally.

"I'm proud of you man, I'm a big fan and I'm proud of you," Trump responded. "You're tough, you're tough, you have the right spirit. So, now go win the next one, and just keep it for a long time, right? Just keep that championship for a long time. But you are something...I appreciated the shout-out tonight, too. I'm your fan, you're my fan. Two of a kind, two of a kind."
