'It's no secret they're horribly anti-Semitic': Jon Lovitz tears into 'self-loathing Jew' Bernie Sanders and 'the Squad'

Comedian and actor Jon Lovitz went on a rant obliterating Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and the far-left congressional members of "the Squad" for their statements against Israel.

Lovitz made the comments in an interview with Fox News Digital where he went after Sanders for referring to himself as a socialist Democrat.

"You know the difference between a communist and a democratic socialist?" asked Lovitz. "A democratic socialist is somebody you vote for, and then they take all your money and give back what they think you need. A communist — they just appoint themselves. There's no election and they do the exact same thing. That's the only difference."

He accused Sanders and "the Squad" of being bigoted against Jews based on their opposition to funding for Israel.

"It's no secret they're horribly anti-Semitic," he added.

He also mocked Sanders for being ostensibly against millionaires and billionaires while hoarding his own wealth.

"All my friends that are Jewish, like, they go, Bernie Sanders, self-loathing Jew," Lovitz continued. "You know, what's wrong with this guy? And that's what that is. 'Oh, that's not true.' Yeah, it is. Yeah, you are. 'I don't like it when people make money. It's not right. They should only make so much. And then it's enough.' Well, you have three homes. You should just have one. 'That's none of your business.'"

He went on to lambast Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan for circulating Hamas propaganda falsely accusing Israel of attacking a hospital in Gaza.

"She said that Israel bombed the hospital and killed 500 people," said Lovitz. "And then after they proved that Israel did not fire the bomb and the United States proved it and the bomb hit the parking lot, not the hospital, and the bomb was fired by jihad terrorists, and they have video of it where it's coming from, not from Israel, from Gaza and turning around and hitting the parking lot. She's never taken the tweet down or said 'I made a mistake.' So how can you listen to anything she says?"

Lovitz then pointed his ire at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, whom he described as cute but moronic.

"You know, AOC said?" Lovitz began. "I don't care what party she's in. I think she's cute. But she's an idiot. … She goes, 'You know, 29, a lot of people my generation, because of climate change, are asking themselves, you know, should they have children? And I think it's a good question. And I think, you know, maybe they shouldn't.' Oh. Okay. So you're telling all the people of your generation don't have kids. Then in 50 years, there's nobody left on the Earth, moron! … This is what you're dealing with! Don't have kids. Okay. There'll be no one left to breathe your clean air. It's moronic!"

He also decried people calling for a ceasefire after the horrific terror attack on Israel.

"And Israel — if they get rid of Hamas, they're gonna make sure that you put in, which would be good, a democratic government, you know, running Gaza," Lovitz continued. "And then what would happen? Oh, they'll have education. They'll have, instead of money, the money for tunnels, you know, it'll go to build schools and hospitals. And women will get educated."

Lovitz described himself as socially liberal but fiscally conservative. He is best known for his time as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" and also for the short-lived cartoon "The Critic."

'Be grateful': Actor Jon Lovitz chastises 'SNL' cast members triggered by Elon Musk hosting

Iconic actor and comedian Jon Lovitz chastised cast members on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" for grousing over the invitation to Tesla CEO Elon Musk to host the show.

Lovitz, who is a former "Saturday Night Live" member, offered muted criticism but followed it up by contrasting the attitude of modern actors with that of his generation.

"For everyone @nbcsnl who isn't sure about the host... Don't forget where you were before you got the show. We are all extraordinarily lucky to have been on it," Lovitz said.

"Be grateful and enjoy your time on SNL," he continued. "Because nothing lasts forever."

Cast members and writers of the longtime sketch comedy show bristled when the Tesla CEO was announced as a guest host. Others criticized them for being triggered and outraged against Musk without any clear or consistent reasoning on why he's so controversial.

Lovitz continued his criticism after some on Twitter disagreed with him.

"I didn't stay. I didn't leave. I did my job that I was hired to do. I was paid to be on the show. When you get hired for a job, you show up and do it," said Lovitz.

"This concept apparently is foreign to a lot of people these days. That's what owners of businesses tell me," he added.

SNL cast member Pete Davidson voiced confusion at the reaction from some of his colleagues.

"I don't know why people are freaking out," Davidson said Wednesday. "They're like, 'Oh, I can't believe that Elon Musk is hosting!' And I'm like, 'The guy that makes the earth better kinda and makes cool things and sends people to Mars?'"

Lovitz was a member on SNL from 1985 to 1990 and later starred in various movies as well as his own short-lived animated show, "The Critic."

The cast members who voiced opposition to Musk were reportedly given a "safe space" to avoid participating on Saturday's show. Musk noted in his monologue that he made history on the show for being the first host with Asperger's syndrome.

"Or at least the first to admit it," he added.
