Biden to grads of traditionally black Morehouse College: Black men getting killed in street; US doesn't love black men enough

President Joe Biden spent part of his commencement address Sunday at traditionally black school Morehouse College addressing racial issues, specifically telling graduates that black men are getting killed in the streets of America — and that the country doesn't love black men as much as black men love the U.S.

Biden told those in caps and gowns that they missed their high school graduations because of the COVID pandemic, National Public Radio reported, and then added that they "started college just as George Floyd was murdered, and there was a reckoning on race."

'It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you.'

"It’s natural to wonder if democracy you hear about actually works for you," he told the graduates. "What is democracy if black men are being killed in the street? What is democracy if a trail of broken promises still leave black communities behind? What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot? And most of all, what does it mean, as we’ve heard before, to be a black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure?"

How are observers reacting?

Libs of TikTok sarcastically noted that Biden "inspires Black graduates at Morehouse College by telling them that they’re victims and America hates them."

Jordan Peterson added that Democrats "are utterly incapable of learning" that to "live by the victim/victimizer narrative" results in the "die by the victim/victimizer narrative."

Will Johnson said that "as a black man in America, I find this highly offensive. [Biden] along with other 'Demoncrats' created the situation most blacks live in today. Black people have to take responsibility as well."

Military veteran and Texas native @delinthecity_ also took umbrage with the president's words: "I wonder if Joe Biden is going to tell them that he’s one of the people who truly hates black people and authored the 1994 crime bill that locked up and incarcerated a lot of black people. Joe Biden is one of the most racist politicians in the United States of America and is a pathological liar."

Anything else?

It wasn't lost on NPR that Biden's address came as "polling shows potentially lower support for his reelection efforts among black voters and young voters." Biden also spent time at the podium railing away at former President Donald Trump, who likely will face him in November's election.

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder calls Harrison Butker 'f***ing p***y' over star kicker's anti-woke graduation speech

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder called Harrison Butker of the Kansas City Chiefs a "f***ing p***y" over the star kicker's anti-woke graduation speech that went viral last week.

Vedder, the far-left frontman of the legendary Seattle grunge band, gave his own speech to a Las Vegas concert crowd Saturday, noting that the female members of the show's opening band "must not have believed that ‘diabolical lie’ that women should take pride in taking a back seat to their men.”

Vedder then called out Butker, saying "the irony was that this football player, kicker … he doesn’t have the pads because he doesn’t tackle anybody or get tackled ..."

Vedder continued: "OK, I get that [it] could be for some people, and there should be pride in homemaking whether you're a man or a woman. It's maybe one of the hardest jobs, and you definitely should take pride in it. But you shouldn't not follow a dream because you think that is the more ... that you're going to benefit by giving up your dreams? I couldn't understand the logic. So I'm questioning it public right now ..."

Butker, during his speech at Benedictine College, a small Catholic school, used the word "diabolical" to describe what he called false messages that progressive culture tells young women today and pushed back by championing faith and traditional family values: "Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world."

Vedder then called out Butker, saying "the irony was that this football player, kicker … he doesn’t have the pads because he doesn’t tackle anybody or get tackled ..." Which is pretty hilarious given Vedder stands a whopping 5'7" tall compared to Butker's 6'4" frame. (Oh, and for the record, Butker does tackle; let's see Eddie do this.)

The singer kept going, noting that Butker "was telling men to ‘don’t forget to puff up your chests and be more masculine, don’t lose your masculinity.' The irony was that when he was saying that, he looked like such a f***ing p***y. There’s nothing more masculine than a strong man supporting a strong woman. Take that. ... People of quality do not fear equality.”

What else happened after Butker's speech?

Not surprisingly, the woke NFL tried to win over the left in the face of what Butker had to say, breathlessly insisting that the league stands for "inclusion" and other PC stuff.

What's more, the individual who runs the X account for the city of Kansas City actually posted a message Wednesday night noting the neighboring city in which Butker's family resides. After the post was taken down, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas wrote, "A message appeared earlier this evening from a City public account. The message was clearly inappropriate for a public account. The City has correctly apologized for the error, will review account access, and ensure nothing like it is shared in the future from public channels."

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey the next day posted that his office "is demanding accountability after @KansasCity doxxed @buttkicker7 last night for daring to express his religious beliefs. I will enforce the Missouri Human Rights Act to ensure Missourians are not targeted for their free exercise of religion. Stay tuned."

Sara Haines — left-wing cohost of "The View" and a self-described "Christian" — blasted Butker's Catholicism and warned him that "if you're using this to oppress people or hold them down, you're not walking with Jesus. If you are using the religion, if you're more obsessed with the religious rituals and practices than you are with the word of Jesus, you're not walking with Jesus. And if you're using it for the judgment of others and as a weapon to beat people down, you're also not walking with Jesus."

However, "Real Time" host Bill Maher — who also leans heavily left — on his Friday episode called out the woke mob that wants Butker's head on a platter: "I don't see what the big crime is. I really don't."

President Biden warns Howard University graduates: 'The most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland is white supremacy'

President Joe Biden gave a commencement speech at Howard University on Saturday, when he warned graduates of the dangerous threats the country faces from white supremacy.

Biden told the graduates of the historically black university, "The most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland is white supremacy."

He proudly added, "And I’m not saying this because I’m at a Black HBCU, I say it wherever I go."

Biden claimed that he hoped hatred would disappear after Barack Obama was elected as president of the United States, but alleged that hatred "never goes away" and only "hides under rocks."

"A vivid demonstration when it comes to race in America, hope doesn’t travel alone. It’s shadowed by fear, by violence and by hate," he asserted.

"There are those who demonize, and pit people against one another," President Biden added during his address, likely hinting at former President Donald Trump. "There are those who would do anything, everything, no matter how desperate or immoral, to hold on to power."

Biden continued, "That's never going to be an easy battle. But I know this: The oldest most sinister forces, they believe they'll determine America's future. But they are wrong. We will determine America's future. You will determine America's future."

Biden rehashed the Capitol riot from Jan. 6, 2021.

"January 2021 – I stood in the U.S. Capitol to be inaugurated as president of the United States," he said at the commencement ceremony. "Just days before, on that very spot, a violent insurrection took place. A dagger at the throat of democracy."

"For the first time in our history, an attempt to stop a peaceful transfer of power in this country. They failed. Our democracy held. Again hope prevailed," Biden said.

Biden then mentioned Vice President Kamala Harris, "And this time I was standing with a black woman, about to take a two-mile procession down Pennsylvania Avenue as president and vice president of the United States of America."

Biden mentioned the Howard University marching band performing at Biden's inauguration.

Biden bragged, "I was able to fulfill my commitment to put the first black woman on the Supreme Court of the United States of America."

Biden touted Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson as "brighter than the rest" of the Supreme Court justices. He added, "She is one bright woman."

“Biden on Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson: “By the way, she’s brighter than the rest” of the Supreme Court. “She is one bright woman.””

Biden attacked the Republican Party for opposing his student debt relief plan. He then conflated student loans with the Paycheck Protection Program launched during the pandemic that offered potentially forgivable government loans to small businesses.

“This new Republican Party is dead set against it, suing my administration to stop you from getting student debt relief," Biden argued. "The same opposition who received relief loans, I might add, to keep their businesses afloat during the pandemic.”

Biden was awarded an honorary "Doctor of Letters" degree from Howard University during the ceremony.

Biden's speech at the historically black university arrived in the same week that a new poll showed that he is losing support from the black community.

The latest Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll shows Biden has a 58% current approval rating among black adults. The AP noted, "Roughly 9 in 10 black adults approved of Biden over his first months in office."

Only 41% of black adults want Biden to run in the 2024 presidential election, and just 55% said they would be likely to support him in a general election.
