Trump blames market bloodbath on Harris-Biden administration, dubbing it the 'KAMALA CRASH'

President Donald Trump warned in the lead-up to the 2020 election that the stock market would crash in the event that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were afforded an opportunity to lead the nation. When the crash did not come immediately, the liberal media laughed off his warning as politically charged nonsense.

Again, earlier this year, Trump warned that the market would be headed for trouble under the Harris-Biden administration, and again he was mocked like the Cassandra of Greek legend.

Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at CFRA Research, was among the many who shrugged off Trump's doomsaying, telling CNN, "Fear sells."

The X account for what is now the Harris campaign shared a post in May mocking Trump's warning. President Joe Biden re-shared the post along with a meme insinuating Trump was a loser.

Months later, it became clear that Trump's fears, though premature, were justified.

A dismal Labor Department job report landed Friday, fueling fears of a coming recession and sparking a market selloff. Amid the U.S. market nosedive Friday, Trump responded on Truth Social, writing, "Kamalanomics."

'Of course there is a massive market downturn. Kamala is even worse than Crooked Joe.'

Markets tanked again Monday morning. Blaze News noted that the Dow opened down more than 1,000 points and as of mid-morning hovered about -2.6% overall. The tech-heavy Nasdaq, meanwhile, was down over 560 points or 3.36%.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange's Volatility Index (VIX), which reflects the market's expectations for the relative strength of near-term price changes of the S&P 500 Index, has shot up 170% since Friday and is poised for its biggest single day rise on record, according to Reuters.

Trump spared no time swapping out his warnings for blame.

"STOCK MARKETS ARE CRASHING, JOB NUMBERS ARE TERRIBLE, WE ARE HEADING TO WORLD WAR III, AND WE HAVE TWO OF THE MOST INCOMPETENT 'LEADERS' IN HISTORY. THIS IS NOT GOOD!!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump later wrote, "Of course there is a massive market downturn. Kamala is even worse than Crooked Joe. Markets will NEVER accept the Radical Left Lunatic that DESTROYED San Francisco and California, as a whole. Next move, THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF 2024! You can’t play games with MARKETS. KAMALA CRASH!!!"

Having clearly settled on the alliterative put-down, Trump again took to Truth Social, writing, "VOTERS HAVE A CHOICE — TRUMP PROSPERITY, OR THE KAMALA CRASH & GREAT DEPRESSION OF 2024, NOT TO MENTION THE PROBABILITY OF WORLD WAR lll IF THESE VERY STUPID PEOPLE REMAIN IN OFFICE. REMEMBER, TRUMP WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!"

Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), took to X to note that this "moment could set off a real economic calamity around the globe. It requires steady leadership — the kind President Trump delivered for four years. Kamala Harris is too afraid to answer media questions and cannot lead us in these troubled times."

Rather than acknowledge the market bloodbath, the Democratic Party elected instead to celebrate Harris' record Monday, lauding her and her former running mate for "one of the greatest economic comebacks of any administration."

Chatter about possible recession in US grows as global markets tank, 'Bidenomics' apparently fails to deliver

Markets around the world, including in the U.S., tanked on Monday as investors began openly expressing concerns about a possible U.S. economic recession.

As they had on Friday, global markets were severely in the red on Monday. The Dow opened down more than 1,000 points and as of mid-morning hovers about -2.6% overall. The tech-heavy Nasdaq is down over 560 points or 3.36%.

'Four years ago today, Trump claimed the stock market would 'crash' if Joe Biden was elected.'

The Asian markets, many of which are about 12 hours ahead of the American markets, suffered even worse losses on Monday. The Nikkei 225 in Japan tumbled 12.4% — more than 4,450 points — its largest single-day loss in history. The second largest was "Black Monday" in 1987.

"That was a crash. It smelled like 1987," said Neil Newman, head of strategy at Astris Advisory in Tokyo, according to CNN.

On Monday, Taiwan's Taiex likewise fell 8.4% and South Korea’s Kospi 8.8%.

These catastrophic numbers have intensified talks about a looming recession in the U.S. Even leftwing outlets like the Daily Beast have acknowledged the possibility.

"To put it mildly, the spike in volatility-of-volatility is a spectacle that underlines just how jittery markets have become," said Stephen Innes of SPI Asset Management, according to ABC News. "The real question now looms: Can the typical market reflex to sell volatility or buy the market dip prevail over the deep-seated anxiety brought on by this sudden and sharp recession scare?"

The Federal Reserve will now almost assuredly cut interest rates next month to stabilize the volatile markets.

For now, economists are blaming the global market turmoil on the dismal jobs report the U.S. Department of Labor released on Friday. So-called experts had anticipated a report showing that the policies that Biden and Harris have affectionally called "Bidenomics" had created 175,000 jobs last month, but the real number was much lower, just 114,000, causing the unemployment rate to jump to 4.3%, the highest rate since October 2021 and nearly a full point higher than it was at the beginning of the year.

As recently as May, an account touting the supposed accomplishments of Vice President Kamala Harris celebrated the soaring stock market and took aim at former President Donald Trump's skepticism about a Biden-Harris administration's ability to address economic issues.

"Four years ago today, Trump claimed the stock market would 'crash' if Joe Biden was elected (The stock market has reached the highest levels ever recorded in history under President Biden)," Kamala HQ tweeted on May 24.

Trump certainly has his doubts that Biden and Harris are up to the task, dubbing the market tumble on Monday the "KAMALA CRASH."

"Of course there is a massive market downturn. Kamala is even worse than Crooked Joe. Markets will NEVER accept the Radical Left Lunatic that DESTROYED San Francisco and California, as a whole. Next move, THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF 2024! You can’t play games with MARKETS. KAMALA CRASH!!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Harris for President spokesperson James Singer, in turn, pointed the finger at Trump for the abysmal jobs report. "Donald Trump failed Americans as president, costing our economy millions of jobs, and bringing us to the brink of recession," Singer said.

"We’ve made significant progress, but Vice President Harris knows there’s more work to do to lower costs for families."

Some justice rendered for 2 little girls killed in DUI crash in North Las Vegas

Two little girls who died in an alcohol-related crash near Las Vegas about 18 months ago have now received a small measure of justice as the adults in the vehicle — their mother and aunt — are both sentenced to time behind bars.

On the night of December 11, 2022, Kayleah Manning was in a van driving around North Las Vegas, Nevada. Her older sister, Raenysa Clydette-Glenn Washington, was in the passenger seat, and Washington's two daughters — Taylor Wilmer, 3, and Rose Wilmer, 2 — were in the backseat restrained by adult seatbelts, as Blaze News previously reported.

'The problem is I’m not sure that all of these mistakes are things that could happen to a responsible parent.'

Suddenly, Manning veered from her lane, struck a curb, and hit a small tree and light pole before crashing into a large palm tree.

As a result of the crash, little Rose was decapitated and pronounced dead at the scene. Her sister, Taylor, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries the following day.

Both Manning and Washington were also transported to the hospital, where they remained in critical condition for some time. They were also placed under arrest while they underwent treatment for their injuries.

Witnesses claimed that at least one of the women seemed "nonchalant" about the deadly crash. "When she was getting out of the car, she just stepped on the baby and walked to the grass," one witness said.

Another witness claimed one of the women just "left the baby there." Whether the witnesses were referring to Manning or Washington is unclear.

Evidence that Manning was under the influence of alcohol was apparent from the start. Police described her eyes as bloodshot, her speech as slurred, and her breath as smelling strongly of "an alcoholic beverage." Tests taken about two hours after the crash reportedly revealed that her blood-alcohol level was over .19, more than twice the legal limit.

Manning allegedly admitted to consuming two shots of tequila that night. Washington reportedly told police that her sister may have split an entire bottle of tequila with a friend.

Washington also apparently admitted that she knew putting toddlers into adult seatbelts and not car seats was wrong but felt she "couldn’t argue" since it was not her car. Other reports indicate Washington had sold the car seats a week before the crash.

Though Manning, 25, was initially assessed a bevy of serious charges, in April, she pled guilty to two counts of DUI resulting in death. That same month, Washington, 27, pled guilty to two counts of child abuse or neglect.

On Thursday, the two women stood before Judge Erika Mendoza to learn their sentence. Both wept as they made statements asking for mercy.

"No matter if it was an accident, no matter if I would never hurt my children, no matter if it was a mistake, it was my fault," said Washington. "And today I'm ready to take full accountability of this, and for the remainder of my life, I will."

"I never imagined being the cause of so much hurt to my family, my nieces, or myself," said Manning. "But while I have been incarcerated, I've enrolled in the SOARS program to seek the help that I may need to understand myself and what led me to the position I am in today."

Judge Mendoza reportedly shed tears herself but still sentenced both women to serve time.

Manning was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison with credit for the 108 days already served. Once she is released, she must have a breath monitor in her car for at least a year.

Washington was sentenced to just shy of a year in jail with credit for the 11 days already served. She was given a prison sentence as well, but that sentence was immediately suspended.

So long as Washington remains out of trouble once she is released and on probation, she will never have to serve the suspended sentence. However, one technical violation will land her back in jail, the judge ruled.

Since the crash, Washington has given birth to a baby boy. She is also currently pregnant, due sometime in December.

Washington asked to delay starting her jail sentence until Monday so that she could say goodbye to her son, but Judge Mendoza refused.

"The problem is I’m not sure that all of these mistakes are things that could happen to a responsible parent," Mendoza said.

Insane video: Unhinged male beats on bus driver, pulls him from seat while bus is motoring down street — then comes the crash

Surveillance video caught the terrifying moments when a passenger began physically attacking a bus driver — and pulling the driver from his seat — while the bus was still motoring down a busy street Saturday in Oklahoma City.

The scary scene culminated with the bus crashing into a building.

What are the details?

Oklahoma City’s Public Transportation Department released the video Wednesday showing the attack on one of its EMBARK bus drivers, KFOR-TV reported.

“The suspect asked to be let off at the intersection of Britton and Western," Oklahoma City Police Lt. Jeff Cooper told the station. "The bus driver told him he couldn’t do that."

The bus driver, following city policy, reportedly told the passenger he could let him off at the next designated stop, KFOR noted.

With that, video shows the passenger suddenly throwing punches at the driver:

The passenger soon pulls the driver out of his seat and into the aisle — and the bus is still moving:

As you no doubt are guessing, the bus without a driver behind the wheel is not long for its lane — and it soon veers off the road.

Video shows the bus finally crashing into a business, KFOR said.

Here's the clip:

OKCPD arrest an Embark passenger for attacking a bus driver this past weekend, sending the bus into a building at Britton & Western. The passenger demanded to get off the bus at a railroad track, against regulations. What happened to the other passengers at 4:30/6pm @kfor pic.twitter.com/TRNazMI0rb

The bus driver's seat belt stayed on throughout the attack, and the station said it saved the driver from being thrown through the windshield.

What happened next?

Police identified 23-year-old Tihron Harrison as the passenger who attacked the bus driver, and police said Harrison ran from the scene, KFOR said. But cops soon caught up to Harrison, took him to a hospital to get evaluated, and arrested him, the station said.

“Obviously [the driver] had some bumps and bruises," Jason Ferbrache, director of the city's Public Transportation and Parking Department, told KFOR. "We got him to medical facilities right after, and he’s off work now but doing well."

Ferbrache added to the station that the bus driver did everything he could to follow the city’s policies while keeping people on board safe.

“When you run into a situation like that, no matter how much training you have, it’s very difficult to prepare for somebody really assaulting you while you’re operating a vehicle in motion,” Ferbrache noted to KFOR.

Plane containing a couple and a 2 year old crashed into the woods. A single parachute made all the difference.

A small plane containing a husband, wife, and their 2-year-old daughter took off Friday for Santa Rosa from Shelter Cove Airport in Humboldt County, California. The plane never made it to its destination.

Upon receiving a report of a possible airplane crash nearby Usal Road in Whitethorn around 1:15 p.m., Mendocino County Sheriff's Office deputies — joined by deputies from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, the California Highway Patrol, and other first responders — raced to the scene.

First responders scoured the hilly timberland and found an aircraft torn asunder. While the plane was in pieces, the Santa Rosa family was still together. What's more: the child and her 38-year-old parents made off with only minor cuts and scratches.

Five minutes after takeoff, the 2004 Cirrus SR22 single-propeller plane's engine apparently lost power. According to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office, the pilot attempted to figure out what killed the engine but quickly realized the "plane's altitude was too low for recovery."

Fortunately for the family, the plane was equipped with a Cirrus Airframe Parachute System.

"It sounded like it was a last-resort effort," Captain Quincy Cromer of the MCSO told the Press Democrat.

This whole-plane ballistic parachute recovery system, which has come standard on Cirrus aircraft since 1998, fires out a canopy attached to the fuselage that slows an ill-fated plane's descent in the interest of preserving its crew.

Sure enough, the CAPS worked for the family Friday, carrying their plane over to a heavily wooded and mountainous area straddling the Mendocino-Humboldt County line. While their descent was slowed, it was not arrested altogether. The plane ultimately crashed upside down onto the forest floor, losing its tail in the process.

Shelter Cove Fire Department, among the local departments that responded to the crash, emphasized that "even with the parachute the parties involved were extremely fortunate to only receive minor injuries."

SCFD also expressed gratitude "to Cal Fire Fortuna ECC, Whale Gulch Volunteer Fire Company, Southern Humboldt Technical Rescue Team, USCG Sector Humboldt Bay, City Ambulance, and the quick acting witnesses who aided in locating the victims."

The MCSO suggested that the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.

'God put me there': Toddler only survivor after Wisconsin crash kills 9, including 7 Amish community members

A toddler in Wisconsin is the only survivor after a van and tractor-trailer smashed into each other, leaving nine people dead, according to Fox News Digital. Seven of the nine people who died belonged to an Amish community.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened on Highway 95, southeast of Eau Claire in western Wisconsin. The two-year-old boy who survived was reportedly thrown from the vehicle and ultimately rescued by someone who was a witness to the horrific crash.

Nathaniel Jahn — the man who rescued the child — said, "I think God put me there for a reason." Jahn went on to mention that he was unable to help anyone else at the crash because the van soon burst into flames.

KMSP reported that the Amish group was from Pounding Mill, Virginia, hundreds of miles away from where the accident happened. Following the accident, the Amish community set up an information line.

The line said the two-year-old boy lost his parents, his little sister, his grandma, and two aunts in the accident.

"Having nine lives snuffed out in one accident is a tremendous shock. No words can explain it. It is totally beyond our comprehension. Our hearts are torn and bleeding," the Amish community’s information line said.

Neighbors in the Virginia area have come out in support of the community. Sara and Jodi White, who were both born and raised in Burke's Garden, Virginia, said that their hearts were broken for the families whose children they watched grow up in the area, per the report.

"It has been the most devastating thing this community has ever went through," Sara said. "You could say ‘I'm sorry,’ but that doesn't cover the loss of somebody. And when you are one person and you've lost your wife, two children, your son-in-law, your grandchild, I mean, what do you say to that person?"

The Whites have launched an effort to raise money and collect donations for the family.

"The Amish community is a community of people that will give you anything that they have to give," Jodi said. "The faith and the strength that's being displayed by this group of people right now — it's unmatched. It's something that really is very admirable."

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers (D) addressed the tragic situation on social media, writing, "Kathy and I are saddened today by the fatal crash that occurred in Clark County, tragically taking nine lives."

— (@)

"Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and loved ones of all those involved, as well as the first responders who worked quickly to provide support at the scene."

Father accused of fleeing single-vehicle crash that killed teen daughter, injured family: 'She had a heart of gold'

Bodycam video shows the moment an Oklahoma father was arrested by police after he reportedly fled the single-vehicle crash that killed his teen daughter and injured other family members.

The Bixby Police Department responded to a car crash around 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 11, KJRH-TV reported. Officers found 16-year-old Shelby Binney near the site of the car accident – she had reportedly been thrown from the vehicle during the rollover car crash.

Binney was rushed to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Investigators said Shelby was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the car.

Her mother and two elementary school-age siblings were also transported to the hospital with injuries suffered from the deadly car accident.

Missing from the car crash site was the father of the family – Elliot Binney.

The man is accused of fleeing the car crash that killed his teenage daughter.

An anonymous witness told KJRH-TV that he ran to the crash site and found a man wandering around the wrecked SUV. The witness alleged that he attempted to get the "disoriented" man to sit down, but he ran off.

"The driver, Elliott Binney, her father, at some point left the scene, he walked to a family-owned business and retrieved a vehicle," said Bixby Police Chief Todd Blish, according to KOKI-TV.

Police were able to track the vehicle electronically.

Officers tracked down Elliot down in Checotah – roughly an hour away from the fatal car crash.

The Checotah Police Department released bodycam footage of officers arresting Binney while he was behind the wheel of a gray pickup truck.

Binney told police officers that the accident was caused by him losing control of the car after hitting an oil spot on the road during the rainy night, according to the arrest report.

A witness to the car crash estimated that Binney's vehicle was traveling around 70 mph before the crash, according to the police report. Binney reportedly passed multiple cars in a no-passing zone shortly before the deadly wreck.

The New York Post reported, "When officers went through Binney’s car, they found vodka and several pill bottles with the labels torn off in the front seat, according to the footage."

Binney allegedly admitted to officers that he had bought the vodka and "took a gulp" of it while driving his family home.

Binney’s wife reportedly told police that she and her husband were arguing before the deadly car accident.

The father suffered only minor injuries from the crash that killed his daughter. In his mug shot, Binney is seen with two black eyes.

Binney was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death, first-degree manslaughter, and passing a vehicle in a no-passing zone.

Binney, 41, was released from jail on a $102,100 bond.

KJRH-TV reported Binney was previously charged with leaving the scene of an accident on three other occasions. However, the state allegedly dismissed the charges in 2010 and 2016.

Blish said, "These situations are tragic in every sense of the word."

A cheer group that Shelby participated in described the teenager as "a bright light in the gym, a hard working athlete, and the best teammate you could ask for."

"She was loved by everyone around her," the group said on Facebook. "She would always encourage others in the gym. She had a heart of gold and showed kindness to all. Shelby always had a smile on her face. She loved her teammates, coaches, and the gym. We miss her terribly."

Shelby was a sophomore at Bixby High School – which dispatched a counseling team to "provide support for any students or staff who may need help processing this very difficult news."

Naked man caught on video fighting Las Vegas cop in middle of road — then things take dangerous turn

Video caught the moment when a naked man was fighting a Las Vegas police officer in the middle of an intersection late Halloween night — and things soon took a dangerous turn.

Video also showed the naked man breaking free from the officer, hopping into the officer's patrol vehicle, and speeding away.

What's more, the suspect soon caused a serious crash and is now facing charges, KLAS-TV reported, citing court documents.

What are the details?

Police got a call around 11 p.m. about a naked man near Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive, the station said.

Motorist Kyle Even captured video of Clyde Cabulisan, 29, fighting a responding police officer, police added to KLAS.

Even told the station he saw flashing lights and thought he was pulling up on an accident when he got a closer look — at a naked man in the road “casually” walking.

“You got a cop and a naked dude," Even noted to KLAS during a phone interview Wednesday morning. "I thought he was going to be handcuffed and thrown to the ground. The cop kind of seemed he was, like, protecting [the naked man] from somebody coming through and hitting him.”

Soon, the naked man — Cabulisan — got into the Metro Ford F-150 patrol vehicle and drove off, the station said.

“I was just glad the cop didn’t get run over,” Even noted to the station. “It’s like real-life Grand Theft Auto.”

Crash

Cabulisan headed north on Rainbow with officers in pursuit for more than five miles, police told KLAS. He then crossed the center line, drove into oncoming traffic, and ran a red light at Hacienda Avenue before crashing into the passenger side of a Ford Explorer around 11:15 p.m., the station said.

A 34-year-old woman who was driving the Explorer and her 43-year-old male passenger suffered critical injuries and were taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit, police told KLAS.

The male passenger told the station he's partially paralyzed and suffered other injuries as well. Cabulisan also was hospitalized with numerous injuries, KLAS reported.

Now what?

Cabulisan is facing four charges: robbery, driver disobeying peace officer and endangering people/property, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, and battery on a protected person, the station said, adding that he was scheduled Thursday to make an initial appearance in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Video shows deputy narrowly dodge death by dropping under suspect's crashing car: 'Talk about nine lives'

A Dorchester County sheriff's officer had a close shave last month when a crashing car, the driver of which was allegedly set on his demise, rolled right over him.

Sgt. Lawrence Hill was looking to stop a suspect who had been speeding perilously through Summerville, South Carolina, on Sept. 19, reported the Post and Courier.

The suspect in question, 54-year-old Roger Quentin Hill — who is not related to the sergeant — led deputies on a chase through the county, allegedly hitting speeds of up to 100 mph, according to an incident report.

Robert Quentin Hill - Dorchester County Jail

An officer initially tried to stop the suspect west of Summerville after noticing an expired registration sticker, but Quentin Hill allegedly refused to stop.

WCSC-TV reported that the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to hit the officer, then began weaving through traffic and forcing other cars off the road. Fifteen minutes later, after reportedly realizing he couldn't escape the neighborhood, Quentin Hill encountered Sgt. Hill off Scotch Orange Road.

In footage captured by another deputy's dashboard camera, Sgt. Hill's cruiser can be seen parked off to the side of the road. In the ditch on the opposite side, Hill waits with a spike strip ready. As the suspect's Jaguar sedan's closes in, Sgt. Hill throws the spikes. However, the driver veers off the road toward the deputy.

Sgt. Hill vanishes under the sedan as it catches a piece of a utility pole at the last moment, toppling it and yanking down live wires. The sedan then rolls right over the deputy, throwing shrapnel and dust into the air.

As the deputy whose cruiser captured the footage rushes to the scene of the smoking wreck, Sgt. Hill can be seen standing and walking away from the wake of destruction.

One officer rushes the suspect's vehicle with his gun drawn, ordering Quentin Hill to put his hands up.

The Post and Courier indicated that Sgt. Hill was taken to hospital with bruises and an injured shoulder.

"He's lucky to be alive," said Lt. Rick Carson. "Talk about nine lives."

Quentin Hill was charged with attempted murder, failure to stop for blue lights, destruction of an electric pole, and driving with a suspended license. He was denied bond on account of the attempted murder charge.

Tragic: Plane crash kills North Dakota state lawmaker, along with his wife and two children

North Dakota state Sen. Doug Larsen, his wife Amy, and their two kids passed away due to a plane crash.

The Grand County Sheriff's Office described the lawmaker as the pilot of the aircraft.

"Senator Doug Larsen, his wife Amy, and their two young children died in a plane crash last evening in Utah," North Dakota state Senate Majority Leader David Hogue communicated in an email to other senators, according to the Associated Press. "They were visiting family in Scottsdale and returning home. They stopped to refuel in Utah."

"I'm not sure where the bereavement starts with such a tragedy, but I think it starts with prayers for the grandparents, surviving stepchild of Senator Larsen, and extended family of Doug and Amy," Hogue noted. "Hold your family close today."

Larsen had served in the North Dakota Army National Guard for nearly three decades, according to a press release from North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum's office.

Burgum, who is currently running in the GOP presidential primary, said the state lawmaker "was a father, husband, coach, entrepreneur, businessman, state senator and lieutenant colonel in the North Dakota National Guard who committed himself fully to each of those roles with an unwavering sense of honor and duty."

"As a legislator, he was a tenacious advocate for individual rights and the freedoms he defended through his military service," the governor noted.

Adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard Maj. Gen. Alan Dohrmann described Larsen as "a true patriot who dedicated his life, both in and out of uniform, to serving others."

During an interview posted to YouTube last year, Larsen had noted that he was happy to have the chance to serve in office.
