Man allegedly matches with dead wife on Tinder
As the Halloween season looms, one man's tale about matching with his deceased wife on Tinder was seen more than 6.5 million times on TikTok in less than a week.
The strange incident was read out loud on the Ghost Huns podcast and subsequently shared to their TikTok account. The post reeled in more than 3,000 comments, according to the Daily Mail.

The host of the podcast, Suzie Preece, read out the bizarre story from the point of view of a man named Derek. She kicked off the segment by reading, "I just matched with my dead wife on Tinder. I had numbly swiped left so many times in a row I almost missed it, I wish I had."
"I skimmed through her profile, there was no writing but three other pictures of my dead wife I'd never seen before including one with the statue of Liberty behind her even though I knew she'd never been to New York City, at least to my knowledge."
"I swiped right and breathed for the first time in nearly two minutes."
"I struggled to sleep for the next 48 hours, never getting a match, ready to message Tinder and tell them someone was impersonating my beloved dead wife on the app and doing some kind of magical photoshop to put in her pictures."
Preece carried on with the man's story, saying that the "[t]he match came at 3:33 a.m. It came with a simple message, just a simple 'hi.'"
"I mashed the letters on my phone as hard and fast as I could — who is this? why are you doing this? where did you get these pictures of my wife, she died of cervical cancer two years ago you monster."
Derek apparently received a couple more messages, asking if he was home and to let the person in who was messaging him. He was apparently convinced someone was just playing a joke on him, saying: "Someone had to be f****** about with me but who would be this impossibly cruel and diabolical — there may have been a couple people who didn't like me at work but no one would go anywhere near this far."
Though the story may seem far-fetched, there was someone in the comments of the podcast who claimed that a similar incident had happened to them.
The commenter said: "My late partner put a song on on Amazon playlist. Also, changed my Pinterest account to a pet name only we knew. I believe this 100%."
While the story may have been a story perfectly fit for the Halloween season, there appear to be individuals who honestly believe that Derek really heard from his late wife through Tinder.

Biden accused of 'sickening' comments about young girl, including her legs: 'Looks like she's 19'
President Joe Biden was slammed Friday after comments he directed toward a young girl circulated online and generated backlash.
What did Biden say?
While speaking at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia, video shows Biden direct off-key remarks toward a person who was reportedly "a little girl."
Biden said, according to video:
I'm honored to be joined today by Gov. Northam and by two great representatives of the Commonwealth, Congresswoman [Elaine] Luria and Congressman [Bobby] Scott. And I want to thank you for all that you do to represent these service veterans, because they're devoted to you, the family members, the caregivers, survivors, all call Virginia home. I'm especially honored to share the stage with Brittany and Jared and Nathan and Margaret Catherine.
I love those barrettes in your hair, man. I tell you what, look at her. She looks like she's 19 years old sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed. Brittany, you're doing triple-duty as a veteran, a military spouse, and a teacher. And kids, thank you for being there for your mom.
The New York Post reported the girl "appeared to be elementary school age" and "had joined her parents and two older brothers on the podium while her mother introduced the president."

What was the reaction?
Biden was swiftly rebuked on social media for the comments, and the hashtag "#CreepyJoe" was trending on Twitter.
"Creepy Joe is back," Rita Panahi commented; "Sickening," Benny Johnson said; "dude has issues," Jon Gabriel reacted; "That's pretty *&^%$!ed up," Nathan Wurtzel said; "Creeeeeeep!" Joey Jones reacted.
Of course, Friday's incident was not the first time Biden has been accused of creepy behavior.
Before Biden launched his presidential campaign in 2019, former Nevada lawmaker Lucy Flores accused Biden of unwanted contact during a campaign event in 2014 when Biden was vice president. Three other women then came forward with allegations of unwanted contact, including touching and kisses.
Biden responded to those accusations by promising to "be more mindful and respectful of people's personal space."
During his campaign, Biden was also accused of sexual assault by Tara Reade, who worked as an aide in Biden's Senate office in the early 1990s. Biden has staunchly denied Reade's allegations.
Hollywood, Parkland activists unite for sexually explicit get out the vote effort
Hollywood knows that sex sells. That's why several celebrities have teamed up with Parkland survivors in the March for Our Lives movement to motivate people to register to vote in a new ad titled "My First Time."
The ad features notable celebrities including Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Don Cheadle, Chris Evans, and Zoë Kravitz using sexual innuendo to describe their first time voting. Johansson talks about being "nervous." Cheadle says his "first time" was in a church. Evans explains his “first time with woman was in 2016.” Mark Ruffalo says he didn't know "where to put it," and Boseman adds, “You know, where to slide it in.” They're all talking about voting, obviously.
The Parkland activists Emma González and David Hogg appear in the video, clarifying that they have the numbers and the power to vote and, presumably, knock Second Amendment-defending Republicans out of office to enact sweeping gun control legislation.
One student says he was so excited when he voted for the first time that he "elected all over the place." Gross.
If this sexually themed ad rings a bell, it's likely because you're dredging up the repressed memory from that time "Girls" star Lena Dunham made voting for Obama a double entendre for losing her virginity.
Flashback to 2012:
Making voting sexual was creepy then, and it's still creepy now.
