Peter Doocy reveals what WH did after Biden insulted him — then law professor explains how it could 'magnify' Biden's problems

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy revealed on Thursday how the White House responded to President Joe Biden once again insulting him.

At the conclusion of an event in New Mexico on Wednesday, Doocy asked Biden about Devon Archer's testimony. The president responded by calling Doocy's question "lousy" — expressing regret for having called on him to ask a question — and said the allegations are not true.

In an interview on Thursday morning, Doocy recounted what happened leading up to the exchange and afterward. He explained that he was the last person remaining in the press area after the event. Biden then noticed him and began to wave him over. An aide tried to stop Doocy, but Biden kept waving him over, and the Secret Service approved of Doocy exiting the press area.

The viral exchange happened, and then Doocy left. But that's when it got interesting.

"As soon as I got back to the rental car in the parking lot ... I heard from a White House official who was disputing the very premise of that question," Doocy explained.

Apparently, the White House took issue with the framing of Doocy's question because Archer did not specifically testify that Biden talked "business" with Hunter Biden's business associates.

But as Doocy pointed out, while that is true per se (at least, according to Archer's testimony) — one still has to read between the lines.

"Devon Archer later did come out to say, 'It is categorically false that then-Vice President Biden did not know what was going on with Hunter while all of this was going on,'" Doocy explained. "So that is why we asked the question that we did."

George Washington School of Law professor Jonathan Turley later expressed concern that the White House's response could "magnify" problems for Biden.

"Doocy said that the White House called him as soon as he made it to his car to refute the specifics of the allegations on discussing business," Turley wrote said. "The use of White House staff to repeat these positions could magnify the problems for Biden."

The problem for Biden, according to Turley, stems from what he believes is special counsel Jack Smith's legal maneuver in the latest indictment of Donald Trump: "criminalizing lies in campaigns" — a tactic Turley believes could later be used against Biden.

"The very controversial linchpin used against Trump could conceivably be used against Biden, particularly in the launching of an impeachment inquiry by House Republicans," Turley wrote in a column.

Indeed, in politics the old adage is true: What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

NY Times makes stunning admission about Joe Biden's role in Hunter's business deals: 'Textbook gaslighting'

The New York Times casually admitted Monday that "it has long been known" that President Joe Biden "interacted" with Hunter Biden's business associates.

On Monday, Devon Archer, a longtime business associate of Hunter's, told Congress that Hunter put his father on speakerphone about 20 times during meetings with business partners over a decade. Using his father, Archer testified, was Hunter's way of selling "the brand" and closing business deals. Importantly, these alleged 20 instances were those that Archer himself witnessed, which doesn't preclude other instances.

The testimony, therefore, appeared to contradict the narrative that Biden himself has maintained for years. Biden not only claims that he was never involved in Hunter's overseas business dealings, but also maintains that he never even discussed business with his son.

But, according to the New York Times, "interaction" between Biden and his son's business partners was an open secret.

Deep in a story about Archer's testimony, the so-called "paper of record" stated matter-of-factly:

It has long been known that the elder Mr. Biden at times interacted with his son’s business partners.

Notice the vagueness of the sentence.

First, the reporter used passive language (i.e., "it has long been known that ..."), which raises the question, "Who has long known this alleged fact?" Second, the reporter used cryptic language (i.e., "at times interacted ..."). How many times, exactly? And what was the nature of this alleged interaction? Finally, the reporter failed to clarify with which specific business partners the alleged interaction took place.

Fox News Radio host Guy Benson characterized the admission as "textbook gaslighting." What the Times posed as a well-known fact is something Biden and the White House have long denied.

Archer's testimony and the Times' admission come about a week after the White House began changing the narrative.

When asked last week whether Biden stands by his claims that he was not involved in Hunter's business and that he never discussed business with his son, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded, "The president was never in business with his son."

The answer, as New York Times chief White House correspondent Peter Baker pointed out, did not eliminate the possibility that Biden has, contrary to his repeated claims, discussed business with his son.

Is the DOJ trying to DISCREDIT Hunter Biden's business partner Devon Archer?

In the Biden family’s foreign business empire, Devon Archer is “ground zero,” according to Glenn Beck.

“Devon Archer is the guy who knows where all the bodies are buried, perhaps literally, we’re not sure at this point,” Glenn says half-jokingly.

Archer was supposed to testify to Congress last week about Hunter’s overseas business dealings and whether or not President Biden played a role. However, the DOJ released a letter related to Archer’s upcoming prison sentence and then sent another letter denying that it was attempting to intimidate Archer before his testimony.

“Apparently the committee knows at least his opening statement, and there are some things that he is going to say, apparently, that will not go well for the Bidens,” Glenn explains.

“Now, if I were Hunter Biden, I would think to myself: ‘Hmm, I know I’m not suicidal, but I could be committing suicide by the end of this week,’” he adds.

Beck believes the questions that are going to be asked will range from “why did Burisma hire Hunter Biden in April 2014 on the eve of his father’s vice presidency” to “what did Joe Biden know about Hunter’s business dealings in China, Ukraine, Romania, and Russia?”

Apparently, Archer was in attendance for several parties and/or board meetings that would give him special insight into these topics.

Another question that may be asked is why the former vice president phoned in to some of the Burisma board meetings specifically “when the firm was panicked that Shokin, the Ukrainian prosecutor, was escalating his probe of the Ukrainian firm.”

“That one is really important,” Glenn says.

“I have no idea of my son’s business dealings but I happened to call into a Burisma board meeting, what, to say: ‘Hi, hey, I hate to interrupt your board meeting son I just want to know how are you? Are you okay? Is everything all right?’” Glenn mocked.

Glenn believes the entire situation is too ridiculous to not be absolutely corrupt.

“Hey, how about a crack addict and his friend who have no experience at all? There’s a good idea, let’s give them more access to our market than anyone, including Bank of America, Citibank, and all the others. Let’s give them more access and more money than anyone else in the world.”

“Does that make sense to you?” Glenn asks.
