Rumors swirl that Trump is distancing himself from RFK Jr., but Don Jr. tells Megyn Kelly a different story

Pat Gray was initially concerned when over the weekend an “unnamed source” suggested that Trump was already beginning to distance himself from RFK Jr., who was said to be poised to “make America healthy again.”

However, Donald Trump Jr.'s recent appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show” suggests otherwise.

“Would RFK Jr. have an actual Cabinet position now that the Republicans are going to control the Senate, as opposed to being a non-confirmed czar-type guy?” Kelly asked.

“We definitely do want to honor the promise that we made, make sure that he's involved in whatever capacity sort of he wants,” Don. Jr. stated, adding that he believes Kennedy would “do an incredible job on the stuff as it relates to health.”

“I love what RFK can do to health. I have five young kids; I want to make sure I'm not poisoning them when they have a meal,” he told Kelly, who nodded in agreement.

“I'd love to let him go wild on some of these things, or at least shed some light so the American public understands exactly why we are where we are, exactly why we're so fat, exactly why we're so unhealthy, and why it seems like so many people are trying to keep us that way rather than let us be healthy,” he explained.

He also confirmed the administration’s plans to include Elon Musk, whom he called “the Einstein of our era,” in matters related to the Department of Government Efficiency.

“I'm going to make sure that the people that surround my father are both loyal to him and competent. … I think this time around we actually know who those people are; we're going to bring in a lot of people from outside,” Trump Jr. told Kelly.

“So it sounds like both Elon and Robert Kennedy will definitely be a part of this administration,” says Keith Malinak.

“What we hoped would happen is in fact happening,” says Pat.

WATCH: Trump Jr. responds to rumors that RFK Jr. will endorse Trump, join the administration

In a recent interview, Nicole Shanahan, RFK Jr.’s running mate, said that their campaign faces a difficult decision — continue running and risk a Harris win, or drop out and endorse Trump.

Yesterday, Don Jr., Donald Trump’s eldest son, joined Glenn Beck on “The Glenn Beck Program” to address the prospect of RFK Jr. endorsing his father.

“The endorsement from RFK — do you think that’s coming?” Glenn asked.

“I hope so,” Don Jr. said, adding that he considers RFK Jr. “a smart guy” who’s “got very good views on certain things,” despite the obvious disagreements.

For him to endorse Trump would show “a unity” against “the communism that we are up against,” he told Glenn.

“[Kamala] is talking about, ‘We want to set up price fixing ... we're going to be auditing businesses, and we're going to take away your business, and we're going to take away your children if we can't do ... transgender surgeries for minors without parental consent,’” he said, making the point that it is “not hyperbole” to say the left is for communism.

“They've lost their minds, and so I love the idea of giving [RFK Jr.] some sort of role” in “a major ... three letter entity” and “let him blow it up,” he told Glenn, adding that RFK Jr. could also “bring people together,” which would show “a strong opposition to what we are up against, which is just abject insanity.”

Barron and three other Trump children to serve as Florida delegates to Republican National Convention

Former President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump, will serve serve as one of Florida's at-large delegates to the 2024 Republican National Convention, according to a delegate list.

Other Trump children, including Eric, Don Jr., and Tiffany Boulos, are also set to serve as at-large delegates, the list indicates, as are Tiffany's husband Michael Boulos and Don Jr.'s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle. The list, which has been cited by multiple outlets, mispells Barron's name as "Baron" and Guilfoyle's as "Guifoyle."

Barron Trump "does like politics," his father has said.

"We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention," Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power said in a statement, according to reports.

"I am truly honored to just received the unanimous vote, of The Republican Party of Florida, to be Chairman of the 2024 Delegation at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee! Let’s Make America Great Again!" Eric Trump tweeted on Thursday.

During an interview on the Kayal & Company radio program, Donald Trump said that his son Barron "does like politics," adding, "He'll tell me sometimes, 'Dad, this is what you have to do.'"

Trump is already the GOP's presumptive 2024 presidential nominee, and at the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin this July, he is slated to be officially selected as the party's presidential nominee.

During past presidential election contests, the state of Florida has swung back and forth between Republican and Democratic candidates. The Sunshine State went to Republican George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004, then to Democrat Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, then to Trump in 2016 and 2020.
