MSNBC's Donny Deutsch says Dems need to 'scare the bejesus' out of voters about replacement theory because the economy is so bad

MSNBC host Donny Deutsch said that Democrats needed to "scare the bejesus" out of the voters about replacement theory because the economy has been tanking so badly.

Deutsch made the comments Wednesday on "Morning Joe" in response to a question from Joe Scarborough.

"The question is: What is the best way to push back on this hatred? What's the best way to push back on this conspiracy theory that is based on a Jewish international banker — I mean it is so anti-Semitic — and of course they've slotted George Soros in there, trying to make the country like browner and blacker," Scarborough claimed. "What's the best way for people to push back on that lie?"

"You take this heinous platform and you make the Republicans own it. I want to say it again, make the Republicans own it," replied Deutsch.

"Every Republican politician, every Republican candidate, ask them about it; they can't run from it, because it's part of who they are, as disgusting as it is. But make it the Republican replacement theory, mainstream it, because you have to scare," he continued.

"We don’t have the economy on our side as Democrats. So you have to scare the bejesus out of people — and a way to scare them, to say, 'You know this replacement theory, this is not just coming from some dark corner of the web, this is the Republican platform,'" he added.

"Make them own it, and Democrats run from this fist fight. I know in the previous segment," Deutsch concluded, "he talked about the president not wanting to call out names. Call out Tucker Carlson, call out the politicians and make this, make them own it, this is a Republican platform. It's the racist Republican replacement theory."

The replacement conspiracy theory involves the contention that powerful people on the left want to replace white people in the United States with minorities in order to change the demographic makeup of the electorate to fit their political agenda. The logic of the theory is somewhat undermined by recent polling showing Democrats are increasingly unpopular among Hispanics and blacks.

Deutsch made headlines in 2011 when he said that he hoped there was some moment like the deadly Kent State University shooting that would propel the left-wing "Occupy Wall Street" movement.

MSNBC host, guest predict disaster for Democrats in future elections — and that GOP will win 2024 in 'landslide'

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough and frequent network guest Donny Deutsch warned Monday the Democratic Party must stop embracing far-left progressivism if Democrats want to win future elections.

What are the details?

During a discussion on "Morning Joe," Deutsch predicted that Republicans will win 2024 in a "landslide" if the GOP presidential nominee is anyone other than former President Donald Trump.

Scarborough agreed and pointed out that Republicans performed well in 2020 — in the House, Senate, in state legislatures, and governorships — with the exception of Trump.

Deutsch fired back that, in fact, he believes Trump could defeat President Joe Biden in a rematch, adding that any other GOP candidate — like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis or Nikki Haley — would defeat Biden by "double digits."

I would like to see some polls. First, a poll of Trump against Biden, which I think Trump would eke out a victory. But then I want to see polls with Nikki Haley, or Ron DeSantis, or fill in the blank, and they would win by over double digits.

It is, you know, I live in this bubble and this very kind of blue state, and I cannot tell you the unrest with the feeling of the Democrats in control the way they are running things, the way Biden not feeling his hands on the wheel, and nobody on deck. That's the concern that Democrats have. But if the Republicans were smart, they would move away from Trump. Can they? Will they? You and I don't know that. But clearly, if they did, it would be a landslide.

If the Republicans run ANYBODY but Trump they win in a landslide in 2024. Sadly they have a chance with Trump. Dems… https://t.co/0K28oZBdMa

Scarborough later said that he has heard from Democratic voters that progressivism is driving them away from the Democratic Party, calling the far-left agenda "so wildly out of step with mainstream America."

Deutsch went on to explain that electoral disaster is looming for Democrats and Biden in future elections.

"There weren't Joe Biden voters," Deutsch said of the 2020 election. "They were anti-Trump voters. All right? And Joe Biden does not have the hearts and minds of this country."

"And the other Democrats that we see being paraded forward, the AOCs of the world, the far left, are suicide for the Democrats," he explained. "So, the Democrats better get some new faces and the Democrats better figure out that this world lives just right of center or, on a good year, just left of center, and it's this socialist kind of pulling all the way to the left is a disaster."
