Theme park apologizes after viral video shows drag queen simulating sex act with power tool in front of children at Pride event

Parents said they were horrified when their children were exposed to a drag queen performer apparently simulating a sex act with a power tool at a theme park in Britain.

Video of the offensive performance went viral online after it was recorded at Adventure Island family park in Essex on Saturday.

The video shows drag queen Crystal, whose real name is Colin Munro, simulating a sex act with an angle grinder on his crotch while thrusting his hips.

Among those who circulated the video was the popular Libs of TikTok account.

Philip Miller, executive chairman of the theme park, told MailOnline that there had been a misunderstanding about what would be allowed at the event.

'We humbly apologise to all of our loyal customers for any offence caused," said Miller.

He also vowed that the park would not host a Pride event again, nor would officials there ever book the drag queen again.

Some parents told MailOnline that they would not be returning to the park over the incident.

"I won't be going back, and I won't be taking my kids there," said a mother of two children identified only as Amanda. "That is a line you don't cross. That tells me everything you need to know about how they value children."

The drag queen denied that anything he did on stage was sexual in nature.

"My act is no different to what you might see on 'Britain's Got Talent,' from Lady Gaga on MTV, or from a street performer in Covent Garden," said Munro. "This is deemed 'sexual' solely because I was performing in drag."

He also pointed out that this was the third year that he had performed as a drag queen at the theme park's Pride Day event.

Yuengling reportedly sponsoring venue that hosts drag queen shows at site dedicated to 'family events'

Beer brand Yuengling sponsors a venue that hosts drag queen shows for seemingly all ages, according to the website for tickets to the event.

Yuengling is reportedly a sponsor of the Musikfest Cafe, which hosts the "Draggin' with the Divas" drag queen show held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The description of the event to be held on June 30 reads: "Draggin’ with the Divas is a drag show featuring music performed by some of our favorite Queens covering Queens. Hosted by Elektra Fearce St. James."

On June 13, the Musikfest Twitter account promoted the event on Twitter, but has since deleted the tweet.

The deleted tweet read: "Need your drag fix before our iconic Musikfest Drag Show? Well, the queens return to Musikfest Cafe pres. by Yuengling on June 30th! Close out Pride Month with a FIERCE show."

The Musikfest Facebook page also promoted the event, but did not mention that Yuengling sponsored the venue hosting the Musikfest Drag Show.

Political and cultural commentator Tim Pool shared a screencap of the venue's policies that allow babies to enter events.

— Tim Pool (@Tim Pool) 1686798035

The website does not mention any age restrictions for purchasing tickets to the drag queen show and mentions that babies are permitted entry to events.

The tickets were sold by ArtsQuest, a self-described "nonprofit organization providing access to art, culture and educational programs for the diverse residents of the Lehigh Valley and others who seek access to our community."

The ArtsQuest official ticket policy states:

All persons entering a venue, including babies in arms, must have a ticket. Each ticket will allow one admittance. If a ticket holder leaves the venue, for any reason, re-admittance will not be allowed. Attendance of children under 2 years of age may not be recommended for some performances.

The ArtsQuest "event rules" page does not mention any age restrictions for attending its events.

The Musikfest Cafe is located in the SteelStacks, said to be "a 10-acre campus dedicated to arts, culture, family events, community celebrations, education and fun."

The Musikfest website also promotes drag queen shows on Aug. 9 and Aug. 10. The website notes that the "Musikfest Drag Show" will be held at the "PNC Series at the Musikfest Cafe presented by Yuengling."

In June 2022, Musikfest Cafe hosted the "Draggin' with Divas" event. Musikfest Cafe teased the event by sharing a video of the drag queen Elektra Fearce St. James dancing provocatively.

The video is captioned: "Here's a little taste of what you can expect from Elektra Fearce St. James when she takes the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling stage on June 3rd in Draggin' With The Divas!"

There are no recent social media posts by Yuengling promoting any of the drag queen shows.

Last October, Musikfest hosted a "Dragtoberfest" that was allegedly presented by Jack Daniels.

The post made by the Musikfest Facebook read: "The queens are taking the stage tomorrow night, 10/1, in Dragtoberfest presented by Jack Daniels at Oktoberfest presented Lehigh Valley International Airport."

The SteelStacks website listed the drag queen performers and noted that Jack Daniels was a partner.

TheBlaze contacted Yuengling and ArtsQuest, but did not immediately receive a response to requests for comment.

In April, Yuengling appeared to take a jab at Anheuser-Busch as it was attempting to deal with the Bud Light controversy regarding the partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

Trump-appointed judge rules law banning drag shows for kids 'unconstitutionally vague'

A federal judge says Tennessee's law banning adult cabaret performances in public or in the presence of minors is unconstitutional, NPR reported.

"The Court finds that — despite Tennessee's compelling interest in protecting the psychological and physical wellbeing of children — the Adult Entertainment Act ('ACA') is an unconstitutional restriction on the freedom of speech," wrote United States District Judge Thomas L. Parker in the 70-page opinion.

Judge Parker took issue with the first-of-its-kind law, calling it "unconstitutionally vague and substantially overbroad."

The law, which Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee (R) signed in March, criminalizes "adult cabaret entertainment" in public or where it could be viewed by children, according to the Hill. The law does not contain the word "drag."

The law defined "adult cabaret entertainment" as "adult-oriented performances that are harmful to minors, as such term is defined under present law; feature go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators, or similar entertainers; and include a single performance or multiple performances by an entertainer."

The law provides further definition of "harmful to minors" as "that quality of any description or representation, in whatever form, of nudity, sexual excitement, sexual conduct, excess violence, or sadomasochistic abuse."

The judge wrote that the law was "passed for the impermissible purpose of chilling constitutionally-protected speech," adding that the state did not meet its burden to ensure the law was "narrowly tailored and the least restrictive means to advance Tennessee's interest."

"The Court concludes that the AEA is both unconstitutionally vague and substantially overbroad. The AEA's 'harmful to minors' standard applies to all ages, so it fails to provide fair notice of what is prohibited, and it encourages discriminatory enforcement. The AEA is substantially overbroad because it applies to public property or 'anywhere' a minor could be present," Judge Parker wrote.

Plaintiff Friends of George's, Inc, a nonprofit, brought the suit. The group produces "drag-centric performances, comedy sketches, and plays," according to the judge's ruling, as reported in the Washington Post.

Judge Parker of the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee was nominated by former President Donald Trump (R) July 2017 and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate January 2018 98-0, according to Ballotpedia.

Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti is expected to appeal the ruling "at the appropriate time," according to the Washington Post.

Video: BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales exposes family-friendly drag show where children collect tips, performer toasts those who 'lick us where we pee'

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales exposed a family-friendly bingo and drag show in Princeton, Texas. Video recorded by Gonzales shows children scooping up tip money for the drag show performers.

Princeton TX Diverse presented a "Beauty and the Bingo" drag show at the Steve & Judy Deffibaugh Community Center on Saturday afternoon. Tickets were $20.

Princeton TX Diverse is an organization that believes "everyone is welcome here, no matter their age, color, disability, economic standing, ethnicity, family status, gender, genetic information, national origin, neurodiversity, marital status, race, sexual orientation, spiritual identity, or veteran status."

Gonzales – the host of "The News & Why It Matters" podcast – attended the drag show event. She recorded eye-opening footage and shared video on her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Video shows a bearded performer raising a beer bottle and urging the attendees to make a toast. The drag show performer acknowledges that there are children in attendance, but continues with the risqué toast anyway.

The drag show performer tells the crowd, "So raise your glasses. Cheers to you, cheers to me, cheers to the ones who lick us where we pee."

Footage shows the drag show performers executing salacious dance moves while dressed in provocative outfits.

At one point, a drag show performer throws dollar bills into the air. Three children rush to the floor and collect the tip money.

The announcer says of the children, "And thank you to our little helpers running up here picking up her money. That right there is our future."

Gonzales was kicked out of the "Beauty and the Bingo" show. However, the drag show was broadcast on the official Facebook page for Princeton TX Diverse.

In the past few months, there have been numerous LGBTQ events in Texas that have involved children.

In December, an "all-ages" event titled "The Island of Misfit Toys Drive & Drag Show" was held in San Antonio. The show included a screening of the Christmas classic "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

In November, a bookstore in Denton hosted a "transgender storytime" for children. BlazeTV personality Alex Stein mocked Antifa members who were guarding the event.

In June, a Texas gay bar hosted a "Drag the Kids to Pride" event where drag queen dancers provocatively gyrated in front of children as young as toddlers. The promoters labeled the event as the "ultimate family-friendly pride experience."

Gov. Ron DeSantis' office investigating 'Drag Queen Christmas' show for possibly exposing children to sexually explicit themes

A spokesperson for Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said his office was investigating a "Drag Queen Christmas" show for possible violations of the state's laws against exposing children to sexually explicit themes.

The Christmas drag show was held on Monday at the Broward Center of the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Chris Nelson, a local activist, recorded a video at the event where he claimed several young children were present.

Nelson left the event after interrupting with a protest against the presence of children at the drag show. He was escorted off of the premises by Broward Sheriff’s deputies.

On Tuesday, DeSantis spokesperson Bryan Griffin said the event would be investigated for possible legal violations.

"The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is aware of multiple complaints about a sexually explicit performance marketed to children held in Fort Lauderdale on December 26th," Griffin wrote in the statement.

"The Department is actively investigating this matter, including video footage and photographs from the event. DPBR will, like in other cases, take action," the statement read. "Exposing children to sexually explicit activity is a crime in Florida, and such action violates the Department’s licensing standards for operating a business and holding a liquor license."

DeSantis has previously expressed his opposition to drag shows with explicit themes allowing children to be present.

One online advertisement for the Broward Center "Drag Queen Christmas" made it clear that there were "adult themes and content" in the performance and limited attendance to people over 18 years old unless the minors were accompanied by a parent.

"The Department frequently conducts investigations into these matters upon tips provided by the public, and we thank the public for continuing to bring attention to these incidents. Investigations of such allegations will remain a priority for the Department and, indeed, are ongoing," the statement concluded.

Joliet Pride invites children to bring dollar bills to 'tip the performers' at all-ages drag show in Illinois

A PrideFest event in Joliet, Illinois, advertised for children to bring dollar bills to "tip the performers" at an all ages drag show.

A screenshot of the advertisement was posted to Twitter by the popular social media account Libs of TikTok. Followers of the account immediately responded with scorn for the event planned for September 17.

— Libs of TikTok (@Libs of TikTok) 1663080911

The group appeared to delete the post from Facebook and replace it with a different version that didn't include the text about bringing dollar bills.

Profits from the event are going to fund Joliet PrideFest's outreach efforts, including "Joliet PrideFest free, the LGBTQ+ Youth Drop-in Center, Youth Queer Prom."

In April, the group organized an LGBTQ prom for high schoolers and included a drag show at that event as well.

The EventBrite invitation for the event showed the "Family Friendly Drag Show" was still scheduled for 5 to 7:30 p.m. while the "PrideFest AfterDark Leather and Lace" show was scheduled to start only half an hour later.

The Libs of TikTok account has exposed countless inappropriate drag shows and other extreme posts by members of the far left on social media. As a result, the account has been targeted by the news media and big tech companies, but it has been able to keep its online presence.

On Monday, the account was able to shut down a drag show promoted as a "Back to School" event for children in the city of Pocatello in southeast Idaho. The Southeastern-Idaho Pride posted on its Facebook page that it cancelled the show for security reasons.

"The event as planned was a G rated theatrical review, by all 18+ performers," their post read. "However, due to the misinterpretation of marketing materials, and to mitigate the harm to our LGBTQ+ community, we feel it is best to not proceed with this performance."

Sponsor pulls out of Boise Pride Festival after outrage over 'Drag Kid' show with children as young as 11 years old

The Boise Pride Festival has lost at least one sponsor after online outrage over the inclusion of a "drag kid" show featuring children as young as 11 years old.

"You have watched the Queens and Kings and now it is time to see the Kids," read the advertisement for the event. "Come and cheer them on as they bring drag to the younger generation!"

Idaho Republican Party chair Dorothy Moon released a statement Wednesday decrying the sexualization of children at the event.

"I call on all concerned Idahoans — and the lobbying groups that represent many of these out-of-state businesses who seek tax benefits and subsidies from our legislators, including IACI — to disavow this attack on Idaho’s children and to invest their sponsorship dollars in the Boise Rescue Mission that serves families, women fleeing abuse, and disadvantaged children. Children should be given the chance to live out a childhood free from violence, hunger, and the sexual appetites of adults," read the statement from Moon.

In response, Zions Bank pulled out of its sponsorship of the pride festival.

"When we committed to our sponsorship of this year's Boise Pride event, we were unaware of the event's activities involving children/minors," the bank claimed in a statement.

"Since learning of these specific activities," it continued, "we have made the decision to withdraw our participation in this year's Boise Pride event and have communicated this to the event organizers."

Critics of the event called for the public to pressure the other sponsors, including Albertson's, Jack Daniels, Wells Fargo, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Tito's Vodka, and numerous other brands.

Donald Williamson, a spokesperson for the Boise Pride Festival, denied that the drag event would be sexualizing children.

"The drag kids performance is a celebration of self-expression and confidence," said Williamson to KTVB-TV. "The only perversion and sexualization of this performance are coming from extremists and people like Dorothy Moon, who are twisting it into something that it is not."

Williamson also claimed that sexualization is not unique to drag performances and argued that every Top 40 music video had the kind of sexualization that conservatives were opposing in drag.

"They don't bat an eyelash to that!" he claimed.

"This performance is not the first time these kids have done this," Williamson continued. "They have done this at other venues as well."

He went on to state that the parents of all the drag kids were supportive of their performances, and one mother of a drag child even performs on stage alongside them.

The drag kids show is scheduled for Sunday at the Boise Pride Festival.

Illinois bakery owner shocked at negativity over 'family-friendly' drag show, says acts won't be 'overly sexual'

The owner of a bakery in the suburbs of Illinois was shocked at the ire aimed at her shop after she announced a "family-friendly" drag show and invited parents to bring their children.

Corinna Sac, the owner of Uprising Bakery in Lake in the Hills, said she woke up dozens of negative messages over the planned drag show.

“We’ve had a lot of customers say that they will never purchase from us again,” Sac said to WGN-TV. “We had one gentleman come in and spit on the front of our bakery case."

She posted on the bakery's Facebook page a screenshot of some of the negative reviews.

"This is 7 days to relentless harassment and it is ridiculous and exhausting. This has got to stop. Our community as a whole should be further along than this. There is no space on this planet for this kind of hatred and negativity. STOP IT, MOVE ON!" she wrote in the post on Thursday.

The show was advertised as "Starry Night, Starry Skies" and would cost $35-$50 for adults and $20 for children under 13 years of age.

Sac said she spoke to the performers to make sure their acts were "family-friendly" and not overly sexual.

“I just wish that people would understand we’re not targeting children,” Sac continued. “There are children tickets available for those families who wish to bring their children and for the families who decide that’s OK for their family setting.”

In response to the furor, Lake in the Hills police Chief Mary Frake warned anyone planning to disrupt the event.

“The safety and Constitutional rights of everyone who choose to participate, in whatever capacity, is our priority," Frake said.

"However, under no circumstances will we tolerate a disruption of this event or any activity that disrupts the peace. Individuals who plan on attending, in support or opposition, with plans to engage in acts of violence or criminal activity will be met with police response," she added.

The drag show is scheduled for Saturday, July 23.

New York library hosts 'drag camp' for kids age 11 and up to adopt a drag persona and perform at pride show

A publicly funded library in upstate New York is being assailed for hosting a "drag camp" for children as young as 11 years old to take on a drag persona and perform at a pride drag show.

The Thompson County Library scheduled a series of classes where local drag queen Tilia Cordata would teach children to become drag queens.

The class went viral when the popular Twitter account "Libs of TikTok" posted a screenshot of the advertisement.

\u201c.@tcplny- a publicly funded library is starting a drag camp for kids as young as 11 where they will teach kids how to create a drag persona. The program will end with a youth drag show of children in drag performing at a pride event.\u201d
— Libs of TikTok (@Libs of TikTok) 1654272003

The four-week series will teach students "about costuming, makeup, lip synching, stage presence, and more."

Those children who finish the drag camp series will have an opportunity to perform for adults at the Downtown Ithaca Pride Festival on July 2.

The organizer of the event, a drag queen performer named Tilia Cordata, is described as "a gal lost in time" in the advertisement.

"Mixing modern sensibilities and activism with the bygone looks of yesteryear, from bars to brunches, libraries to lecture halls, she is sure to charm your grandparents while offending your conservative family," the ad proudly states. Cordata is also runs the "Drag Me to School" program at Cornell University and a "Drag Wonderland Brunch," which is also aimed at children.

The Libs of TikTok account has been targeted by the media for simply publicizing videos of far left-wing teachers and others posted to TikTok and other social media outlets. The account has been previously censored on social media despite it only posting what people on the left willingly publicize themselves.

On Wednesday, the same account was able to shut down a drag show marketed as "family-friendly" that was being sponsored by a town in Indiana. LGBTQ supporters accused the account of terrorism.
