'Past is prologue': Why Trump’s rise in the polls spell a ‘last-minute collapse’ for Kamala



There are only two weeks left until Election Day 2024, and if there’s any truth to the latest polling trends, things are looking good for Donald Trump.

While Stu Burguiere of “Stu Does America” is “always resistant to good news,” the polls he’s seeing seem to spell a “last-minute collapse” for the vice president.

“To remind you, on polling averages, there’s a little bit of secret sauce in every polling average. It’s no polling average is pure, if you will. The closest thing you can come to pure would be RealClearPolitics,” Stu says before analyzing a Washington Post poll, which he admits does have “secret sauce.”

The Washington Post poll has Kamala Harris up by very little in key battleground states, which Stu says reflects a “very close election.”


The New York Times has reported a “slight Trump shift” but “no real favorite” in the presidential race.

“If the polls missed like they did in 2022, as I mentioned, they underestimated Democratic support. Harris would sweep all of these states with the exception of Georgia and run away with the election win with over 300 electoral votes,” Stu says.

“If the polls missed like they did in 2020, Donald Trump would dominate a lot of these polls in states, and would win all of these swing states and win with over 300 electoral votes,” he adds.

Stu calls this “very uncertain territory” and says that “at the end of the day, you have a very close election and you don’t know what is going to happen.”

However, Stu is optimistic.

“You have to understand that this is the best chance Donald Trump has ever had to win an election. Now, he won in 2016, but he was a major underdog in 2016. In 2020, he was an even bigger underdog,” Stu says.

“In 2024, it’s basically an even race. And if the past is prologue, if past performance is indicative of future results, in this particular instance, you’ve got a lot of room to sit here and be optimistic,” he adds.

Nikki Haley pulls even with DeSantis in polls, but can her hot streak catch Trump?



It’s no secret that the 2024 presidential race is unlike any other.

The man leading the Republican candidates is being threatened with jail time, and the man currently in office doesn’t know how to form a coherent sentence.

Stu Burguiere believes that if the Democrats succeed in putting Donald Trump in jail, he “might just win the election from jail.”

However, one candidate has been unexpectedly moving up in the polls.

That candidate is Nikki Haley, who has just pulled even with Ron DeSantis in the Iowa poll. The two are trailing behind Donald Trump at 16%.

“Everyone knows Donald Trump is going to be ahead in these polls. But the fact that Haley has pulled even with DeSantis is very good news for the Nikki Haley campaign,” Stu says.

Stu is not a Nikki Haley fan, but he’s also not a hater.

“She’s, you know, a Republican. Some of the views that she has, I don’t love some of them,” he says, adding, “I thought she was a pretty good governor of South Carolina when she was there. All that being said, I didn’t think her debate performances were all that strong.”

This poll is the first sign of serious momentum for the Haley campaign in Iowa, while she’s already been polling well in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

“She obviously was an ambassador to the U.N. She has a decent amount of expertise on the world stage. And central to her argument is a hawkish national defense,” Stu says.

Hawkish national defense is an argument that will grow in favor if there are any terrorist attacks, which Americans have been warned about since Hamas’ invasion of Israel.

In addition, the poll shows that 87% of Trump voters are either extremely enthusiastic or very enthusiastic. For Ron DeSantis it’s only 65%, and for Nikki Haley it’s 75%.

Stu believes that this might make Nikki Haley’s 16% “a little bit better.”

Trump dominating 2024 polls while Biden support wanes



Every day we’re getting closer to 2024, which means the campaigns for next year’s presidential election are really heating up.

Stu Burguiere analyzes the prospects for Trump and Ron DeSantis, as well as Biden, who after a tumultuous few years in office — let’s just say it’s not looking good.

In a recent CNN poll, Trump dominated the Republican candidates at 54%, while DeSantis trailed him at a mere 17%.

According to another CNN poll, only 8% approve of the way Joe Biden is handling his job as president, while 82% strongly disapprove.

Burguiere is convinced Trump will win the Republican nomination.

“If you’re not a Trump supporter, this is going to hurt a little bit. I warn you, if you’re thinking someone else is going to win, this one’s going to hurt a little bit,” Burguiere says.

He notes that this must all be terrifying for leftists, who are watching CNN and seeing Trump’s lead over DeSantis.

“You were told this guy is going to be in prison in the next few months. And all of a sudden, wait a minute, no, when you look at the data, really good chance this guy is actually the next president of the United States,” he says.

No matter how much Stu likes DeSantis or any other candidates, he believes it’s looking the best for Trump, and with good reason.

“Donald Trump is like the most famous person in the world. He was already the president of the United States. He’s got a lot going for him,” he says, adding that “this is more about the strength of Donald Trump than it is about any of these other candidates.”

“How do you beat a candidate that starts at 37%?” Burguiere asks.

“He’s got an entire, you know, army behind him, that just love him no matter what he does, as he himself has talked about. He could shoot people on Fifth Avenue, and he wouldn’t lose anything in the polls. That’s how he sees his base and kind of how his base sees him.”
