'F*** them one and all': Actress proclaims her hatred for all Republicans in vitriolic, profanity-laced tweet

Actress Ellen Barkin issued a vitriolic tweet on Monday in which she declared her hatred for all Republicans.

She prefaced the brief belligerent declaration by apologizing for her comments and profanity, before promptly proceeding to spew invective.

"I'm sorry to have to say this. I'm sorry for my language. But. I f[*****] hate these motherf*[****] Republicans. Every last one. F*[**] them one and all," Barkin tweeted.

“I’m sorry to have to say this. I’m sorry for my language. But.

I fuckin hate these motherf*king Republicans. Every last one. F*ck them one and all.”

Her hostile post has attracted significant attention, earning more than 4,000 retweets, over 12,000 replies, and more than 31,000 likes so far.

"You're so enlightened and stuff," BlazeTV host Chad Prather tweeted in response to Barkin's comments.

"I'm so sad to hear you talk this way. I love your past work, but a comment like the one you made is so hateful and over the top that I can no longer be a fan," someone else tweeted.

"Welcome to the inclusive, welcoming and love everyone movement," another person quipped.

"Such reasoned and compelling intellectual discourse. Sure to really help. Way to go," someone else wrote.

"I have no clue who you are, but you don’t seem very nice," another person remarked.

"I'm sorry to have to say this, but I can do it without using foul language. The feeling is mutual. I loathe these liberals. All of them," someone else wrote.

Ironically, the tweet Barkin currently has pinned to the top of her Twitter account speaks about love. "'Without love there can be no justice.' 'Without justice there can be no love.'...bell hooks," the tweet reads.

FEC commissioner dresses down Eric Swalwell for 'abhorrent' request of campaign funds

A commissioner with the Federal Election Commission condemned Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) on Thursday after asking whether he could use campaign funds for childcare while he takes an international trip.

What is the background?

In May, Rebecca Olson, an attorney for Swalwell's campaign, asked the FEC for clarification whether Swalwell could use campaign funds for overnight childcare while he travels abroad.

"Can Swalwell for Congress pay for childcare expenses for his children if he travels at the request of foreign government or other entities because of his status as a member of Congress? If yes, would that include overnight care as well?" Olson asked.

The childcare is necessary, Olson explained, because Swalwell and his wife, who also works full-time, have three young children. Their busy schedule means they have to employ a "night nanny" when both parents are unavailable to care for their children.

Previously, the FEC ruled that campaigns may use campaign funds for childcare if the need is directly related to campaigning.

What did the FEC commissioner say?

Commissioner Trey Trainor (R) dressed down Swalwell over the request during an FEC meeting, calling the request "abhorrent."

"I am a father of six children, and my wife also works. And I am very aware of the lengths that parents have to go to in order to provide childcare," Trainor began. "I do see this as nothing more than a member of Congress looking for a way to have donors pay for nanny services while they run off on weeklong trips overseas.

"To be real honest with you: I'm actually going to pass judgment on it," he continued. "I think it's abhorrent that Congressman Swalwell would have such a young child and want to leave them in the care of someone else, for a weeklong trip overseas and using donor contributions to pay for that. I think it's inappropriate we even had to address this question."

Ultimately, the commission failed to come to an agreement.

Three commissioners supported barring Swalwell from using campaign funds as requested, two supported allowing Swalwell to use campaign funds as requested, while the sixth commissioner abstained.

Anything else?

After the meeting, FEC commissioner Ellen Weintraub condemned Trainor for his comments.

"I have never seen a requestor treated so disrespectfully by a member of this Commission. This is the United States of America, not the Republic of Gilead. The @FEC enforces the law," Weintraub said on Twitter. "We do not 'pass judgment' on the personal lives of those who come before us asking for guidance."

Trainor shot back, "I’ve never seen campaign donors treated so disrespectfully! The Republic will persevere even if Swallwell doesn’t get all the junkets he’d like."

Liberals lash out at New York Times journalist over timing of Trump report

Liberals lashed out a New York Times journalist Maggie Haberman over the timing of a report claiming former President Donald Trump improperly destroyed documents from his White House tenure.

Haberman said staff at the White House on more than one occasion found the toilets clogged with wads of clumped up printed papers, suggesting that Trump was destroying documents.

"It was not toilet paper, this was either notes, or some other piece of paper, they believe that he had thrown down the toilet," Haberman said on CNN. "It could be post-its, it could be notes he wrote to himself, it could be other things, we don't know."

While her colleagues praised her for the scoop, Haberman was excoriated by many on social media who accused her of withholding the tidbit until she could make money off of it in a book.

Among those criticizing Haberman was Hollywood actress Ellen Barkin.

"Do you think @maggieNYT can get a spot on Dancing With The Felons?" she tweeted to her 244k followers.

"It’s not a 'scoop;' if you sat on it for years so you could make money off your book. Maggie Haberman has failed as a journalist and put her own profits above the interests of the American people," read another angry tweet.

"What else is @maggieNYT holding back about the Trump menace until her book comes out in October. I am calling on her to reveal any facts which implicate crimes & danger to our country," replied activist Richard Signorelli.

"Oh yay more 'she withheld reporting at the time so it could go in her book' scoops. What a shameful practice," responded writer Anita Creamer.

Others angrily accused Haberman of hypocrisy based on a perceived animus against failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

"How many front page stories did Maggie Haberman write about Hillary Clinton’s emails? Yet she concealed information about Trump flushing documents down the White House toilets," read another tweet.

Trump denied the report that he had flushed documents down the toilet during his time at the White House, and said "some reporter" had made it up "in order to get publicity for a mostly fictitious book."

Liberals boycott NBC after Trump schedules town hall to compete against Biden event on ABC

Critics of the president lashed out at NBC after the television network announced that it would broadcast a town hall event with President Donald Trump that would directly compete with a Biden event on ABC.

The head-to-head events were scheduled after the president refused to participate in a virtual debate proposed by the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Biden campaign scheduled their town hall event on ABC, and then NBC announced its plan to broadcast the Trump event.

"The decision by NBC News to run a Trump town hall directly opposite ABC's Biden town hall is indefensible," said political analyst Jeff Greenfield.

"This will be good for Trump because people like to watch his unpredictability. This is a bad decision," she tweeted.

Some expressed their anger by backing an effort to boycott NBC and they tweeted under that hashtag.

"THIS is UNCONSCIONABLE," tweeted liberal actress Debra Messing.

"#Trump pulled out of the scheduled townhall. #Biden KEPT HIS COMMITMENT & HIS WORD and moved forward. Now @nbc@nbcnews is going to REWARD 45 for breaking his commitment and be an accomplice to his attempt to screw over Biden?!" she raged.

"#BoycottNBC is the top trending topic and they earned it. NBC could've scheduled its town hall with Trump LITERALLY any other date/time as the town hall previously scheduled with Biden for Thursday on ABC. But they choose the same time," complained Muslim comedian Dean Obeidallah.

A Daily Beast report claimed that the president wanted to show that he could garner greater ratings in order to "humiliate" Biden.
