LIP SERVICE: Pedro Pascal demands goodbye kiss from departing 'Late Night' host Colbert

Get a room, you two!

The collective fawning over Stephen Colbert’s CBS exit has reached a barf-bag level of nausea. And it’ll get worse up until his final May 21 telecast. But no one will top Pedro Pascal’s ode to the far-left host.

Say what you will about Pratt, but he's hardly out of touch with his potential constituents. The former reality star's home was wiped out by the Palisades Fire.

The star of “The Mandalorian and Grogu” visited “The Late Show” this week and demanded something special from Colbert.

A kiss.

Yes, a grown man planted a firm kiss on the lips of the soon-to-be-ex host. Now, Pascal hasn’t said anything about his sexual preferences to date. Colbert is a straight married man.

Make it make sense and/or, is this any way to market a movie?

The buss was a baffling blend of cringe and bizarre behavior. Much like “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” for that matter ...

Troy boy

The most intriguing director in Hollywood is in damage-control mode, and his next movie doesn’t hit theaters until July 17.

Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is one of the year’s most anticipated films. And why not? All-star cast (Damon! Hathaway! Pattinson! Zendaya!), classic source material, and a director coming off the Oscar-winning “Oppenheimer.”

The tickets practically sell themselves. So what’s the problem?

For starters, the project cast Lupita Nyong’o, a beautiful Oscar winner in a role that may be another example of DEI-style casting. She’ll play Helen of Troy in the film, a role previously played by Caucasian actors (Elizabeth Taylor, Diane Kruger, and Rossana Podestà). Race-blind casting is increasingly common, and it can be distracting in some historical projects.

Elliot Page, a trans performer, is also in the film, but the role in question is still unclear.

Those two casting choices have stirred a potentially woke attack against “The Odyssey,” sight unseen. And naturally, anyone who craves authentic film casting is immediately dubbed a racist by the legacy media.

Nolan already addressed another casting question, explaining that he hired rapper Travis Scott to play a bard in the film to honor how this story was passed on via oral poetry. That’s akin to rap, he argued.

Now, Nolan is prepping for a “60 Minutes” interview this weekend.

It’s not a shock to see actors and directors do press for a project, but that usually happens a week or two before the release date. Nolan’s oh-so-early press tour suggests culture war damage control is afoot ...

Pratt fall

Whoopi Goldberg sunk to a new low this week, no small feat.

It seems like every episode of “The View” finds the Oscar-winner beclowning herself anew. This time, she slammed L.A. mayoral hopeful Spencer Pratt in her de facto style — lots of meandering attacks but little substance.

That’s Whoopi being Whoopi. And honestly, not a big deal in our noisy media age.

This part of her commentary, though, deserves special attention:

I don't know what qualifies as the right way to be a politician, but what I do know is they have to be the people who understand what people are going through. And if you don't understand what people are going through, in the way they're going through it, when you're talking about communities, whole communities that have been burned out, whole groups, legacies that are gone.

Say what you will about Pratt, but he's hardly out of touch with his potential constituents. The former reality star's home was wiped out by the Palisades Fire, and he blames Mayor Karen Bass for the city’s incompetent response to the blaze. The home, like so many others, has not been rebuilt. Blame permit woes, insurance issues, and government bureaucracy on steroids.

It’s why the former reality-show star got into the race in the first place. To paraphrase the tagline for “Jaws IV,” “This time, it’s personal.” Tell that to Goldberg.

We’d say it’s her dumbest rant yet, but there’s always next week ...

License to cast

Remember the countless stories saying so and so actor was the leading choice to play 007 in the next James Bond film?

Rumors. Clickbait. Nothing more.

Now, finally, Amazon (which now pulls the franchise’s strings) has announced the search for the next superspy has officially begun. That’s five years after Daniel Craig’s fifth and final Bond adventure, “No Time to Die.”

The good news? “Dune” director Denis Villeneuve will be behind the camera. A great choice, full stop.

The bad news?

The next few dozen stories on the next Bond will likely include more rumors, not fact. And to be certain, some internet troll will claim that Page is the front-runner for the iconic part. And the social media outrage machine will click into overdrive, ignoring the fact that no studio in its right mind would make such a move.

Bet on it.

Elliot Page claims '2SLGBTQ+' rights are being 'revoked, restricted, and eliminated' in award show rant

The actress formerly known as Ellen Page, now Elliot Page, boldly claimed that the rights of gay individuals have been eliminated across the world with "devastating" results.

Appearing at the 2024 Juno Awards, a Canadian music industry awards show, Page presented the Humanitarian Award in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Dressed in an all-black men's suit, Page announced that she would be presenting the award to two "icons of Canadian music" who are both "devoted and tenacious change-makers." The "community," Page added, is one that "we should all be fighting for."

"We are at a time in history where the rights of 2SLGBTQ+ people are being revoked, restricted, and eliminated throughout the world, and the effects of which are devastating," Page claimed. She would not cite any examples, however.

Speaking on the CBC, Canada's state broadcaster, Page praised the Tegan and Sara Foundation. The organization is run by twin 43-year-old Canadian singers who are both lesbians.

Tegan Quin and Sara Quin started the foundation in 2016, with its stated goal of raising funds and fighting for "LGBTQ+ equality and justice through our flagship programming and support of grassroots organizations, activists and communities that often go unrecognized."

It is unclear why the organization's website did not include "2S," which stands for two-spirit, in its mission statement despite the identity being frequently noted by both Page and the twin sisters at the award ceremony.

"The Tegan and Sara Foundation has one simple mandate: to provide safety and community for 2SLGBTQ+ people," Page continued. Page also claimed that the foundation has continued to "create roads towards queer joy" by "funding initiatives such as health care access, educational programming, and summer camps for two-spirit, trans, and queer youth."

Alluding to the issues as life-or-death situations, Page closed her remarks by saying that the foundation has allowed young people to "show up authentically," while showing a commitment to ensuring that those with obscure sexualities have lives that are "happy, healthy, and most importantly, long."

The Quin sisters spoke after receiving their award and called it a "reflection of the complexities [their] community" faces.

"If the world were not so hostile to 2SLGBTQ+ people, we would see ourselves purely as musicians," the twins, also wearing suits, claimed.

"Advocating for our community's rights is a great privilege, and we are dedicated to confronting any form of discrimination that threatens the well-being of our community."

"Threats like the Alberta government's attempt to prevent trans youth from accessing vital care," they specified.

The musicians were referring to new legislation in Alberta, Canada, that banned gender reassignment surgeries for minors and puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for children under 16 years old.

Before concluding their time on stage, the twin sisters exclaimed that they "love being gay" and encouraged viewers to "try it out."

The Tegan and Sara Foundation boasts initiatives on its website, including providing community grants for "LGBTQ+ people who have faced economic and healthcare inequality since before COVID-19."

This also included race-based grants to "black-led, LGBTQ+ organizations addressing systemic racism by organizing to end police violence."

In addition, the foundation also advocated for "LGBTQ+ Summer Camps," "Queer Health Access," and of course providing reading materials about gender and sexuality to children. The latter showed very young children as its stock image.

Elliot Page EXPOSES Hollywood groomers

Elliot Page — the actress formerly known as Ellen Page — has released a memoir, and the media buzz around its content has left Lauren Chen feeling sorry for the transgender actor.

The book is called "Page Boy," and in some new excerpts from the book, she alleges that people in Hollywood not only groomed her, but actually assaulted her on set.

Page told the Guardian that the director of "Hard Candy" had groomed her, taken her to dinner, stroked her thigh under the table, and told her that she had to “make the move.”

“That is disturbing, and I can only imagine how often this must happen in Hollywood,” Chen says, “because as if one person being attached to that film trying to molest her wasn’t bad enough, there are also other people on the same film set who were apparently looking at her like she was a piece of meat.”

Before Page turned 18, a member of the "Hard Candy" production team had also apparently forced himself on her, as well as told her he wanted to perform a sex act on her.

According to Page, this left her “feeling numb.”

Chen believes that this is why Hollywood is so into the “me too” movement.

The reason, Chen alleges, is “because everyone in Hollywood is actually a sexual predator. Like all of the extreme feminist BS we see coming from liberal women — perhaps it’s simply because they are surrounded by liberal men.”

Chen says that these liberal men cause the women to “assume due to their ideology that ‘no, it’s not just feminist men that are bad, it’s actually all men that are bad.’”

“It’s not just that they’re men, it’s not just because they’re white or whatever other power dynamic the left might tell you,” Chen continues, “it’s because of your disgusting ideology.”

Page was also targeted by a female crew member, who grabbed her after offering to take her house-hunting.

“I know I’ve been very harsh talking about Ellen Page because of her brain-dead liberal progressive takes — especially when it comes to gender — but ultimately as an individual I feel sorry for her,” Chen says.

Page revealed in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that she realized she was trans when she started hearing and then talking to a voice in her head following a psychotic episode of self-harm.

Days later, a doctor gave her approval for her breasts to be removed.

“Chopping off perfectly healthy breasts when you’re a woman, that’s simply a medically approved way to engage in self-harm,” Chen says.

“I think we’ll look back on this period in history and a lot of us will be ashamed that we actually were glorifying mental illness,” she adds.

Elon Musk finally responds to Jordan Peterson's Twitter ban — and it's PERFECTION

On “The Rubin Report,” BlazeTV host Dave Rubin talked about his own suspension from Twitter after he posted a comment about Dr. Jordan Peterson's Twitter suspension and what the social media platform's potential future owner, billionaire Elon Musk, had to say about this latest attack on free speech.

Peterson faces a permanent ban on Twitter for a tweet using the pronoun "her" and "deadnaming" transgender actor Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page. Rubin was subsequently suspended for posting a screenshot of Peterson's tweet.

"While it is unclear how I broke their terms of service, it is clear that they are breaking their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders by letting a bunch of Woke activists run the company. I hope Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter goes through so he can blow up their servers and humanity can move past this pervasive, twisted, self-imposed mental institution," Rubin wrote in an Instagram post.

Several people including Peterson's daughter, Mikhaila, called on Musk to weigh in:

“Wow. @jordanbpeterson got a twitter strike. No more twitter until he deletes the tweet. Definitely not a free speech platform at the moment @elonmusk”
— Mikhaila Peterson (@Mikhaila Peterson) 1656463707

Musk first responded with his trademark caustic wit:

— Elon Musk (@Elon Musk) 1656965457

Prompted by another tweet, Musk later responded in a more serious tone, “Yeah, they’re going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions."

“@itsALLrisky Yeah, they’re going way too far in squashing dissenting opinions”

Twitter suspends Dave Rubin after he shows support for Dr. Jordan Peterson, also suspended

BlazeTV host Dave Rubin was suspended from Twitter on Tuesday after he complained about Dr. Jordan Peterson's suspension for a tweet about transgender actor Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page.

In an Instagram post, Rubin revealed that he had been placed in Twitter jail "for posting a screenshot of Jordan Peterson's tweet which got he himself suspended."

"While it is unclear how I broke their terms of service, it is clear that they are breaking their fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders by letting a bunch of Woke activists run the company," Rubin wrote.

"I hope Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter goes through so he can blow up their servers and humanity can move past this pervasive, twisted, self-imposed mental institution," he added.

Last week, Peterson was suspended from Twitter for a June 22 tweet sharing an article about Page's character in the Netflix Show "Umbrella Academy" coming out as transgender. The article was titled, "Elliot Page is 'proud' to introduce trans character on 'Umbrella Academy.'"

Peterson shared the article with his 2.8 million followers and wrote, "Remember when pride was a sin?"

"And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal person," Peterson tweeted.

Peterson's tweet was flagged for violating Twitter rules against hateful conduct — likely because he used the pronoun "her" and "deadnamed" Page by using the actor's former name, Ellen.

Twitter's hateful conduct policy has rules against "Repeated and/or non-consensual slurs, epithets, racist and sexist tropes, or other content that degrades someone."

"We prohibit targeting others with repeated slurs, tropes or other content that intends to dehumanize, degrade or reinforce negative or harmful stereotypes about a protected category. This includes targeted misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals," the rules state.

Peterson was locked out of his account and will not be permitted to use it again until he deletes the offending tweet.

Rubin spoke out against Peterson's suspension, sharing a screenshot of Peterson's offending tweet and writing, "The insanity continues at Twitter. @jordanbpeterson has been suspended for this tweet about Ellen Page. He just told me he will 'never' delete the tweet. Paging @elonmusk."

But this tweet got Rubin suspended too. He referred to Page by the name "Ellen," which violates Twitter rules against deadnaming.

In his Instagram post, Rubin invited his fans to join him at rubinreport.locals.com, a website he created for people to engage with his content without fear of big tech censorship.

Rubin is the third Blaze Media personality in the last month to be targeted by Twitter's content moderators for sharing opinions that violate the company's rules against wrongthink.

On June 13, BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey was locked out of her Twitter account for criticizing a Fox News segment about "a girl whose parents 'transitioned' her into a boy when she was 5 because she apparently told them she was a boy 'before [she] could talk.'" Stuckey said the segment was "maddening & heartbreaking."

And last week, Blaze podcast host Daniel Horowitz was permanently banned from Twitter for violating the platform's rules against "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19."
