FBI arrests Colorado man accused of Trump assassination threats, US embassy firebombing attempt in Israel

A 28-year-old Colorado native is in custody after allegedly threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump and attempting to firebomb the branch office of the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel.

FBI agents arrested Joseph Neumeyer, a dual U.S. and German citizen, at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sunday after Israel returned him to the U.S.

'Death to Trump. Death to America.'

"This despicable and violent behavior will not be tolerated at home or abroad, and the FBI, working with our partners, will bring him to face justice for his dangerous actions," FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement.

The criminal complaint filed in the Eastern District of New York indicated that Neumeyer made no secret online of his hatred for Trump and other members of his administration.

For instance, on March 22, Neumeyer allegedly wrote in three separate messages, "We are killing Trump and Musk now"; "I will hunt you down and kill you both. White House"; and "Death to Trump."

Two days later, Neumeyer allegedly wrote on Facebook, "To The United States Department of Justice[:] The former President has several hours to resign or certain death."

In case there were any remaining doubts about the nature or target of his animus, the Colorado native allegedly wrote on March 31, "Death to Trump. Death to America."

But the radical apparently was keen to do more than recycle extremist rhetoric online.

FBI Special Agent Byron Cody noted in the affidavit that Neumeyer traveled to Toronto, Canada, in February, then departed for Israel in late April. The following month, Neumeyer allegedly noted on Facebook that he planned to "burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv," adding, "Death to America, death to Americans, and f**k the west."

On at least one occasion, Neumeyer allegedly used the hashtag, "#martyrofisrael."

According to the complaint, Neumeyer traveled to the embassy branch office on May 19 carrying a backpack containing three Molotov cocktails. As he approached the embassy office, he allegedly spat on a guard, then said, "F**k you" in English several times when confronted.

'Let his arrest carry an unmistakable message.'

In the ensuing scuffle, the guard grabbed the backpack containing what Cody characterized as improvised incendiary devices; however, the suspect managed to flee the scene.

Police recovered three bottles; at least one had a cloth protruding from its neck. They apparently contained ethanol.

Law enforcement were able to track the suspect to a nearby hotel using surveillance video. When confronted, Neumeyer allegedly identified himself as the individual who spat at the guard and "stated, in sum and substance, that his backpack contained 'Molotov cocktail bottles,'" said the complaint.

Neumeyer was subsequently arrested.

The Department of Justice indicated that Neumeyer has been charged with attempting to destroy, by means of fire or explosive, the embassy branch office, and faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000 if convicted.

Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi also noted that Neumeyer is charged with making threats to the president.

"This defendant is charged with planning a devastating attack targeting our embassy in Israel, threatening death to Americans, and President Trump’s life," said Bondi. "The Department will not tolerate such violence and will prosecute this defendant to the fullest extent of the law."

FBI Assistant Director in Charge Jensen said in a statement, "Let his arrest carry an unmistakable message: The FBI and our partners will aggressively pursue those who attempt to harm U.S. citizens and interests abroad."

Patel noted on X, "He will now face justice."

Father of leftist accused of gunning down Israeli embassy staffers was Democrat's guest

Two Israeli embassy staffers were fatally gunned down Wednesday while leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum building in Washington, D.C. The suspected gunman, pro-Palestinian Marxist Elias Rodriguez of Chicago, allegedly shouted, "Free, free Palestine!" after his capture.

Democratic Rep. Jesús "Chuy" García (Ill.) was among the many who rushed to condemn what the Israeli Foreign Ministry deemed a "brutal terrorist attack," stating, "My heart is with the victims, and everyone impacted by the attack. We mourn the lives lost and reject the idea that justice can be won through violence."

The New York Post highlighted a curious link between García and the alleged shooter, namely the Marxist suspect's father, Eric Rodriguez.

García announced on March 3 that his guest to President Donald Trump's joint address to Congress was Eric Rodriguez, "a constituent of the district, resident of West Lawn, disabled Army veteran, frontline VA worker, and union steward in the Service Employees International Union."

'We don’t know his family.'

"Eric represents the very best of our community — someone who has served his country, continues to serve his fellow veterans, and fights every day to protect the dignity of working people," said García. "His presence at the Joint Address is a powerful statement: We will not sit back while veterans and workers are treated as political pawns."

When pressed about his night with the alleged killer's father, a spokesperson for the Democrat told the Post Thursday night, "Eric Rodriguez was our guest during the President’s Joint Speech to Congress, but we don't know his family."

It's not just time with Eric Rodriguez that García shares in common with the suspected shooter. They also appear to have some overlapping political views regarding Israel and Palestinian activism.

After all, the congressman secured through his legislative actions and political decisions a B-score from the Americans for Justice in Palestine Action. For instance, García:

  • voted in 2023 against a bill imposing sanctions on Islamic terrorist organizations including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, the Lion's Den, and on any affiliate or successor groups;
  • voted in 2023 against a resolution condemning "the support of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist organizations at institutions of higher education, which may lead to the creation of a hostile environment for Jewish students, faculty, and staff";
  • would not sign a statement condemning Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib's (Mich.) use of a slogan widely used as a rallying cry for the eradication of Israel;
  • criticized sending arms to Israel; and
  • demanded a Palestinian speaker at the Democratic National Convention last year.

According to the FBI's charging affidavit, the son of García's one-time guest told Washington Metropolitan Police after allegedly slaying Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, "I did it for Palestine, I did it for Gaza, I am unarmed."

As he was escorted away by police, Rodriguez allegedly shouted, "Free Palestine!"

'The FBI is aware of certain writings allegedly authored by the suspect.'

Blaze News previously noted that Rodriguez, a graduate from the University of Illinois who donated to Joe Biden's 2020 campaign, has a history of anti-white commentary and has been involved with the pro-Palestinian group Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Prior to the deadly shooting, Rodriguez allegedly posted a manifesto to X titled "Escalate for Gaza, Bring the War Home."

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino stated, "The FBI is aware of certain writings allegedly authored by the suspect, and we hope to have updates as to the authenticity very soon."

The manifesto allegedly tied to Rodriguez accuses Israel of "genocide" and claims "the perpetrators and abettors have forfeited their humanity."

Rodriguez was informed Thursday that he was being held on charges of murder of foreign officials, causing the death of a person through the use of a firearm, discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence, and two counts of first-degree murder, reported WUSA-TV.

Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh told the Marxist he could face the death penalty if convicted.

Trump State Department reportedly tells embassies: Scrap the LGBT and BLM activist flags. Only Old Glory flies.

Under the Biden administration, the non-straight activist flag and the colors of the identitarian leftist group Black Lives Matter were routinely hoisted above American embassies and consulates, both suggesting Old Glory needed the banner equivalent of addendums and insinuating the nation was torn between competing allegiances.

The Trump State Department reportedly issued a "One Flag" policy on Monday, bringing this shameful practice to an end.

According to a copy of the corresponding memo obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, which first reported on the policy change, "Starting immediately, only the United States of America flag is authorized to be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestic and abroad, and featured in U.S. government content."

Keen for a symbolic change after the first Trump administration rejected embassies' requests to fly the non-straight activist flag, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued a blanket authorization for diplomatic outposts worldwide to raise the activist colors. Foreign Policy reported at the time that Blinken specifically authorized diplomats to fly the flag before May 17, a day activists annually spend complaining about "homophobia" and "transphobia," as well as through the month of June.

Sure enough, American diplomats gleefully raised the non-straight flag not just for the duration of so-called "pride season" and on gender ideologues' various days of self-honor but to celebrate or commemorate various milestones on the country's deviation from the straight and narrow.

'It is fitting and respectful that only the US flag be flown or displayed.'

While they refrained from doing so in Islamist nations over fear of "backlash," Biden diplomats proved alternatively keen to antagonize conservative Christians. For instance, the American embassy to the Vatican repeatedly flew the non-straight activist flag while flooding its social media pages with the flag and activist messaging.

Various embassies also hoisted the flag of BLM, a Marxist group led by scandal-plagued radicals apparently committed to acquiring luxury real estate and enriching family members at true believers' expense as well as advancing the global cause of a single race, in part, through the elimination of prisons and police.

The American embassies and consulates in Brazil were among the many diplomatic outposts that raised the BLM flag during the Biden years. Despite the racist and divisive nature of the group signified, the U.S. embassy in Brazil stated that the phrase displayed on the flag "is connected to collective efforts to mitigate racism and build a more equitable society."

The Trump State Department underscored in its Monday memo that the "flag of the United States of America united all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy. These values, which are the bedrock of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present."

Diplomats who violate the new policy will "face disciplinary action, including termination of employment or contract, or reassignment to their home agency," said the memo.

The Beacon noted that the only flags permitted besides Old Glory are the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action emblem and the Wrongful Detainees Flag.

"The U.S. flag is a powerful symbol of pride and it is fitting and respectful that only the U.S. flag be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestically and abroad," added the memo.

'Democracy is hijacked': Anti-oil activists take credit for spray-painting US Embassy in London over Trump victory, 'fascism'

Anti-oil activists allegedly vandalized the United States Embassy in London in the early hours of the morning after Donald Trump was elected president.

The activists, posting a video around 5:25 a.m. Eastern Time, said they were inspired to desecrate the building because they are fighting against big governments that they believe are controlled by oil companies.

"US Embassy painted orange as we reject fascism," the group wrote on its social media pages.

Quickly placing blame on Trump, the group called Just Stop Oil added climate change alarmism into its claim that the world is quickly spiraling into "fascism."

"This morning the world wakes to find it has slipped further into fascism as well as climate breakdown. Trump's win puts the lives of ordinary people at risk, everywhere," the group began.

"The only real winner of today's election is the corporate power that controls the major parties in both the US and UK."

The group went on to claim that Western political systems have been bought out by "big oil" despite the world facing the "biggest challenge of our time."

That challenge being climate change, of course.

'Democracy is hijacked by corporate interests and billionaires.'

The group suggested acts of civil disobedience in order to minimize the effects of "climate breakdown" and the "social collapse that follows."

"As long as democracy is hijacked by corporate interests and billionaires, it will fail to deliver the change people are crying out for. This will always leave the door open for fake populists like Trump to exploit the disaffection many feel," the statement continued.

Just Stop Oil also called for "ordinary people" to organize and create change because no "political leaders" are going to save the planet.

The activists also advocated for the disruption of "business-as-usual," which in the past has amounted to blocking roadways, interrupting sporting events, and vandalizing artwork.

In fact, two members of the activist group were recently sentenced for throwing soup on a priceless painting. In 2022, Anna Holland and Phoebe Plummer threw tomato soup at "Sunflowers," a Vincent van Gogh painting from 1888.

Just Stop Oil's orange-paint protests have failed to garner public support no matter how often they are carried out. In fact, working-class people have countered the protesters with significant resistance in recent years.

Fed-up commuters have dragged protesters out of the streets by their hair and even off the top of trains to prevent further delays in their travel.

The U.S. Embassy in London was opened in 2018 and is the largest American embassy in Western Europe.

State Department issues worldwide caution to US citizens; embassy in Lebanon tells Americans to flee

The U.S. State Department issued an alert Thursday afternoon advising Americans worldwide to "exercise increased caution." Extra to this general warning, U.S. citizens in Lebanon have been told by the embassy in Beirut to hightail it out of the country if possible.

In its announcement, the State Department said that Americans abroad should "stay alert in locations frequented by tourists"; "enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive information and alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency overseas"; and "follow the Department of State" on social media.

The reasons given for this worldwide caution were increased tensions, the potential for terrorist attacks, and "demonstrations or violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests."

The State Department has recommended that U.S. citizens should especially exercise vigilance if located inEgypt, Iraq, Muscat, Oman, and America's supposed NATO ally Turkey.

These warnings come nearly a week after the State Department told travelers headed to Israel, the West Bank, or Gaza to "maintain a high degree of situational awareness[,] exercise caution at all times" and to identify the "location of the nearest bomb shelter."

The risk to westerners appears to have grown in Arab nations in recent days, as evidenced by the swarming of American, Israeli, French, and British embassies, reported the Telegraph.

Within hours of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stating, "The flames of the U.S.-Israeli bombs, dropped this evening on the Palestinian victims injured at the ... hospital in Gaza, will soon consume the Zionists," hordes gathered outside the British and French embassies in Iran, with some chanting "death to France and England."

Amid threats of fire farther afield, rioters in Beirut nearly set the U.S. embassy ablaze. Palestinian flag-waving and stone-throwing rioters managed to torch a neighboring building, but U.S. embassy spokesman Jake Nelson later indicated that "embassy personnel and facilities remain secure and undamaged," reported Reuters.

The New York Post indicated police had to deploy tear gas to disperse the rioters, but not before one demonstrator could scale the outer fence to attach a Palestinian flag to the embassy's flagpole.

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut updated its travel advisory for Lebanon Wednesday, stressing, "Do not travel."

"We urge U.S. citizens not to travel to Lebanon. We recommend that U.S. citizens in Lebanon make appropriate arrangements to leave the country; commercial options currently remain available," the embassy noted on X. "We recommend that U.S. citizens who choose not to depart prepare contingency plans for emergency situations. ... U.S. citizens who need assistance should contact the U.S. Embassy in Beirut at BeirutACS@state.gov or +961-4-543-600."

For Americans whose confidence wasn't shaken after the Biden administration's botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the embassy further underscored the need to "have plans to depart that do not rely on the U.S. government."

The trigger for the latest anti-Western hostilities was the accusation by the Hamas-run Gazan Health Ministry that Israel had bombed the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza and killed hundreds.

Various Western media outfits helped stoke the fire by parroting the terrorist-linked ministry's claims, which have since been discredited. The New York Times, for instance, ran a front-page story entitled, "Israeli Strike Kills Hundreds in Hospital, Palestinians Say."

The New York Times has since reported that American officials have since come to agree with Israel's assessment that the Hamas-affiliated Palestinian Islamic Jihad had launched a missile that malfunctioned.
