CNN Host Asks The Obvious Question About Swalwell’s Mixed Message On Trump
'The two things seem a little bit separate'
Linda Sun is the former deputy chief of staff to New York Governor Kathy Hochul and a former aide to former Governor Andrew Cuomo. Now, she’s facing a federal indictment for allegedly operating as an undisclosed agent of the People’s Republic of China.
Sun was arrested by the FBI at her $3.6 million home in Long Island on charges of being a foreign agent for the CCP.
Federal prosecutors believe that she schemed to advance the interests of the CCP while working in the New York state government in exchange for millions of dollars, and are charging her with failing to register as a foreign agent, visa fraud, and alien smuggling.
Her husband has also been charged in a money laundering conspiracy, which is reported to have afforded the pair their lavish lifestyle, complete with their extravagant Long Island home, a $1.9 million condo in Hawaii, and a 2024 Ferrari.
“Being an agent of the CCP really pays, apparently,” Sara Gonzales of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” comments.
Sun reportedly blocked Taiwan from accessing Governor Hochul, altered New York State messaging to be more favorable to the CCP, removed any references to Taiwan, and ensured that New York officials did not publicly address the CCP’s persecution of the Uyghurs.
The CCP agent began her political career as chief of staff for New York State Assembly member Grace Meng, who is now a member of Congress. Meng’s father, Jimmy Meng, was the first Asian-American to be elected to the legislature in New York history.
He was later arrested for wire fraud during an FBI sting investigation.
“I’m just saying, if Linda Sun’s mentor was Grace Meng, whose father we already know was arrested for wire fraud,” Gonzales says. “It seems like all of these people are corrupt. Seems like maybe we should look into this woman who is now in Congress.”
Sun was a part of the diversity initiative under Cuomo and made it clear she didn’t believe there were enough Asian-Americans working in the government.
“I’m unsure how you can argue, how you can sit there and argue as an Asian person there isn’t enough representation in the government when you are literally Asian and you got your start working with Asians who were working in the government,” Gonzales comments.
“Make that make sense,” she adds.
Gonzales also notes that this isn’t the only time a Democrat has been outed as a Chinese spy, as Democrat Eric Swalwell was found to have had an affair with a Chinese spy.
“Democrats have kind of a big Chinese spy problem,” Gonzales says.

Google George Santos and you’ll find a surplus of headlines citing fraud and campaign finance violations, among other accusations. The list of federal felony charges the expelled congressman faces is as follows:
That’s 23 total charges that Santos will answer to in court next month.
According to Santos, however, the only reason he’s been hit with a slew of felonies is because he’s exposed the insidious corruption in Congress.

“I went from being a member of Congress (previously a private equity professional) to becoming a professional s**t poster on social media, and let me tell you something ... nobody's willing to say that Congress inside trades. Nobody's willing to sit here and tell you Dan Crenshaw is a dirty insider trader,” he tells James Poulos, pointing to the Blaze Originals documentary “Bought and Paid For” released earlier this year that explains how congressmen and women get filthy rich despite their moderate salaries.
Santos says he does it because “the American people deserve to know the scumbags that are in Congress today.”
However, he believes that his boldness is why he’s been ousted and charged with a litany of offenses.
He points to Texas Democrat Sen. Henry Cuellar as proof.
“His indictment says he's been taking bribes from a Mexican bank and the country of Azerbaijan for the last ten years, which means he's been corrupt since the day he got here. I think that's far more than the BS they try to pin on me,” says Santos, and yet despite his crimes, Cuellar is considered “an honorable member with great relationships and accomplishments.”
To hear Santos spill the tea on his least favorite members of Congress, like Eric Swalwell's intimate relations with a Chinese spy, watch the episode above.

Ben Shapiro shut down Rep. Eric Swalwell on Wednesday after the California Democrat tried — but failed — to weaponize Shapiro's personal religious beliefs.
At a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the controversial Global Alliance for Responsible Media, Swalwell chose to question Shapiro about a topic unrelated to the hearing: Project 2025, the forward-looking plan for America created by the Heritage Foundation.
'Yes, I'm a religious Jew. That's true. You've found me out.'
After, ironically, Swalwell admitted he agreed with much of the project's proposals — for example, less government bureaucracy, more government efficiency, less government waste — the California Democrat tried to question Shapiro about immigration. And when Shapiro knocked those questions out of the park, Swalwell turned to abortion and same-sex marriage.
But that's when the hearing took a bizarre turn.
Shapiro attended the hearing as a representative of the Daily Wire, which had been unfairly targeted by GARM. But Swalwell chose to question Shapiro about his religious beliefs, instead.
"Do you support that part? ... Banning same-sex marriage?" Swalwell asked, referring to Project 2025.
"I am in favor of traditional marriage between a man and a woman, and I'm perfectly fine with anyone having any sort of voluntary sexual arrangement they seek," Shapiro responded. "That's a different thing from whether the government should attach benefits to that personal relationship."
That answer, however, was not sufficient for Swalwell, who responded by more precisely probing Shapiro's religious beliefs.
"But you think it's a sin to have same-sex marriage?" the Democrat followed up.
"I mean, I'm confused. Are you asking me as a religious Jew what I think about biblically?" Shapiro responded.
"I'm just asking: Is it a sin to be gay?" Swalwell asked again.
"From a religious Jewish perspective, orientation is not a sin, but activity is, that's also the same perspective of most major religions so far as I'm aware," Shapiro pointed out.
For the next minute, Swalwell asked Shapiro two questions on different topics. But, oddly, he later returned to the question of same-sex marriage, claiming to have found "receipts" of Shapiro's previous comments condemning homosexuality. Swalwell proceeded to read one such quote.
"Yes, I'm a religious Jew. That's true. You've found me out," Shapiro fired back. "I agree with me. Yes, that's true."
The response drew laughter from the crowd gathered in the hearing room.
