Chicago will 'go up in flames' when city's gangs and Tren de Aragua clash, ex-con warns: ‘It’ll be blacks against migrants’

The South Side of Chicago is becoming overrun with Venezuelan migrants, including members of the violent Tren de Aragua gang, according to locals.

Members of the Chicago-based street patrol and violence prevention program Ex-Cons for Community and Social Change recently warned the New York Post that the city will “go up in flames” when local gangs and Tren de Aragua clash.

'Democrats are selling us down the river.'

Tyrone Muhammad, ECCSC founder and CEO, is a former gang member who spent two decades in prison for murder, the Post reported. Now, Muhammad is a social change advocate who has “taught self-development programs aimed at reducing recidivism, such as behavior modification, social and emotional training, critical thinking, job interviewing skills, budgeting, financing, and resume writing,” according to his organization’s website.

Muhammad, 53, recently told the Post, “It is impossible to release gang members and criminals into our country through the borders and broken walls and infiltrate them in our community that’s already impoverished and broken.”

He also warned, “When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or noncitizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames, and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets. It’ll be blacks against migrants."

Tren de Aragua, a transnational criminal organization, has rapidly expanded its presence in the U.S. in recent years, including reportedly taking over some apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado, Blaze News previously reported.

Sources told the Post that Tren de Aragua members residing in the Chicago area are armed and brazen. The South Side neighborhood has been home to many gangs, including Gangster Disciples, Black P Stones, Vice Lords, Latin Kings, and Satan Disciples. With TDA spilling into the area as well, some are concerned about potential growing conflict.

Many Venezuelan migrants, including gang members, have been residing at the Standard Club shelter in downtown Chicago. The shelter’s employees told the Post that there has not been any criminal activity at the property and insisted that TDA members are not living there.

However, Freedom of Information Act requests submitted by Muhammad and Terry Newsome, a Chicago activist, revealed 720 police incident reports concerning sex trafficking, child pornography, drugs, carjackings, weapons, and spousal violence at the location over the last 12 months, the Post reported.

'They be moving in our own territory and robbing people, but they don’t get arrested like we do.'

South Side residents, including gang members, told the paper they are angry and frustrated with the city for its handling of the new immigrant arrivals.

David, a Gangster Disciples member, stated, “The real issue is that America has allowed gangs to enter our country.”

“Gangs that they would consider ex-terrorist groups. They let terrorist groups into our country!” he shouted.

Zacc Massie — whom the Post described as a street leader who recently got out of prison — said, “There’s been a lot going on with [the migrant gangs] that nobody’s even hearing about.”

“They be moving in our own territory and robbing people, but they don’t get arrested like we do," Massie remarked. "I actually talked to one on the translator app. He told me all the things he got going on; how they helped him get a car, an apartment, [EBT] card, all this stuff. They giving them thousands, we get maybe $400 a month. And they don’t even have Social Security numbers!”

Corey Rogers, a Black P Stone member, added to the Post, “What bothers me is that the Venezuelans are united.”

“The black gangs are too divided, and they take each other down,” Rogers explained.

Muhammad formed Ex-Cons for Trump after he felt Democrats had failed inner-city residents.

“It’s not so much Trump himself; it’s that the Democrats are selling us down the river,” he told the Post. “The bougie [upwardly mobile] blacks might like Kamala Harris, but she isn’t going to do anything for us.”

Rev. Corey Brooks echoed similar sentiments to the paper about failed Democratic policies: “Chicago is a blue city and Illinois is a blue state, but people are starting to wake up. It’s not about the person; it’s about the policies. I’ve seen what’s happening with my own eyes when it comes to the migrant criminal gangs, and it’s very concerning.”

The Chicago mayor’s office did not respond to a request for comment from the Post.

KAMALA’S AMERICA: Venezuelan gangs in 11 STATES — and counting

Migrants have flooded into America under the Biden administration’s watch, and now American citizens are reaping the not-so-great consequences.

In a shocking report from Chicago, emergency dispatch received 911 calls reporting 32 Venezuelan gang members trespassing in the courtyard of an apartment building on the South Side of Chicago, brandishing weapons.

Similar reports are being made in Aurora, Colorado.

“This is America in 2024, under Joe Biden and ‘border czar’ Kamala Harris,” Sara Gonzales of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” comments, disturbed. “Seems to be what happens when we open the border and welcome anyone in.”

As the Venezuelan gangs take hold of buildings in Chicago and Aurora, American gang members have been sending warnings via TikTok. One video shows a man with head tattoos with his face-tattooed friend “Big Mod,” driving around with a speaker phone telling the foreigners that they “invented gang violence.”

“When you have the gang members who are like ‘we’re taking America back, baby, we ain’t letting them in here,’ you know something’s gone awry,” Gonzales comments.

While Gonzales isn’t happy that American cities are being overrun by gangs of illegal immigrants, she does see a silver lining.

“I don’t like that this is happening, but if it’s going to happen, nine weeks before an election where people have to make a choice who they want to lead the country and their vision for the future of the country is not a terrible time for Venezuelan gangs to start taking over random cities,” she explains.

In addition, new reports claim that 75% of arrests in Midtown Manhattan are now of illegal immigrants, and places like Connecticut are also being warned of the presence of these Venezuelan gangs.

The gang has reportedly flooded into 11 different states, and a thousand members have made it into the country illegally.

“Coming soon to a state near you,” Gonzales says, “Venezuelan gang members taking over your apartment complexes. This is America. Do you want better? Do you want different? Go to the polls in November.”

Tren de Aragua invasion figment of official's 'imagination,' Democrat Gov. Polis of Colorado claims, despite video evidence

Colorado Governor Jared Polis, a Democrat, claimed Wednesday that reports that a violent Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua, has invaded parts of the state are largely the figment of a city councilwoman's "imagination."

Polis released the comments after KDVR, a local news outlet, shared a video of a group of men carrying firearms while storming through an apartment complex in Aurora, Blaze News reported. A separate video of the same residence taken at what seems to be an earlier time captured a man using a hammer to destroy the door's deadbolt lock.

'Misinformation campaign threatens actual criminal investigations.'

The news outlet reported that illegal immigrants have taken over the apartment complex, which has since become a hot spot for criminal activity, including violent shoot-outs.

Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky recently told Fox News Digital that the Denver metropolitan area has been experiencing more gang-related crime.

As a result of the increased presence of TDA, the Aurora Police Department formed a special task force. However, police have noted that TDA's influence is "isolated" at this time.

Despite the video evidence and police reports of the gang's activity, Polis claimed that TDA's alleged takeover is largely "imagination."

Shelby Wieman, a spokesperson for the governor, told the New York Post, "The governor has already let the mayor know that the state is ready to support the local police department with assistance from state troopers and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation if needed."

"But according to police intelligence, this purported invasion is largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky's imagination," Polis' spokesperson added.

Wieman told the Post that it is "illegal to take over buildings in Colorado" and that if Jurinsky has "knowledge" of such activity, Polis' office is "ready to assist" local law enforcement agencies in reclaiming the properties.

According to Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman (R), "there are several buildings" that have "fallen to these Venezuelan gangs."

The Post asked Polis' office whether it would like to retract its previous statements given the overwhelming evidence of TDA's presence in Aurora, but Wieman replied that the governor "really hopes that the city council members in charge stop trashing their own city when they are supposed to keep it safe."

"Over the last month, Governor Polis has been in regular contact with the city of Aurora and the Aurora Police Department and has offered all state assistance to support their efforts if requested," Wieman said.

Jurinsky told Fox News Digital, "My question back to the governor is: Is this also a figment of the Romeros' imagination?"

Cindy and Edward Romero, former residents of the Aurora apartment where the armed men were caught on surveillance footage storming through the complex, called living there "a nightmare." They reported that their vehicle was riddled with bullets from a shoot-out that took place this month before they moved out.

"There are people behind this that are solely playing politics," Jurinsky said. "That is so sad to me because they're real human beings, just like the Romeros suffering on the other side of those doors, living behind four deadbolt locks and a door brace and living in fear every day in these complexes."

"It is very promising that across the board, people are really seeing what is happening," she continued. "Video footage is only undeniable for our governor in Colorado. Everybody else across the country is seeing this for themselves."

Wieman told the news outlet, "We know violent crime in Aurora went down between 2022 and 2023, fully expect the data will show further declines for 2024, and the recent misinformation campaign threatens actual criminal investigations and could hurt the climate for small businesses in Aurora."

Missouri lawmaker's missionary daughter, son-in-law 'went to Heaven together' after murdered, set on fire by gang in Haiti

The daughter and son-in-law of a Missouri lawmaker were murdered and set on fire by a gang while serving as missionaries in Haiti, according to reports.

The young couple, as well as a third victim, were killed in a brutal attack that reportedly took place on Thursday night in the community of Lizon in northern Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital.

The three victims were identified as 23-year-old Davy Lloyd, 21-year-old Natalie Lloyd, and 45-year-old Jude Montis. All three victims were members of the Missions in Haiti, Inc. The organization was founded by David and Alicia Lloyd – Davy’s parents. The compound – which educated roughly 450 children – included an orphanage that housed about 50 kids, a school, and a church.

Davy grew up on the Missions in Haiti compound.

Hannah Cornett, Davy's sister, told the Associated Press, "Davy spoke Creole before he spoke English. It was home. Haiti was all we knew."

Natalie joined the organization in August 2022 after the couple got married that June. The pair were "full-time missionaries" in Haiti, according to her father – Missouri State Rep. Ben Baker.

Montis was the group's Haitian director for two decades and a pastor with a wife and two young children.

Gang members allegedly ambushed the trio at the compound on Thursday.

David Lloyd, 48, told the Wall Street Journal, "They tied up my son and beat him. They got three vehicles. They got a bunch of equipment, money, I had my payroll in there for the week."

The distraught father said that Davy was able to untie himself, and the trio managed to flee to a small house on the compound.

Davy called his father during the chaotic scene.

"As they were going down there [to the house], he was telling me what was stolen and what had been done to him," Lloyd explained. "And as he’s talking to me, he says, 'Dad, something is going on. There a bunch more guys and I think they may be back.' He thought it was the same gang that was coming back and he didn’t know what was going on."

The couple and Montis barricaded themselves in the house. However, the gang members allegedly "ended up shooting all the windows out and shooting the house up."

The gang members allegedly infiltrated the house and murdered all three missionaries by shooting them.

The news outlet reported that there is a video of the grisly crime scene showing "three bodies sprawled on the floor, with those of Davy Lloyd and Montis having been burned."

The Oklahoma-based Mission in Haiti said Davy, Natalie, and Jude were "shot and killed by the gang about 9 o'clock" on Thursday.

My heart is broken in a thousand pieces. I've never felt this kind of pain.

Representative Baker shared a photo of the slain couple on Facebook with the heartbreaking caption:

My heart is broken in a thousand pieces. I’ve never felt this kind of pain. Most of you know my daughter and son-in-law Davy and Natalie Lloyd are full-time missionaries in Haiti. They were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family we desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now.

Baker said "things are looking very positive" for the transport home of the bodies of Davy and Natalie.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the two U.S. citizens killed by gangs in Haiti," U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a statement.

Miller added, "Unfortunately, this serves as a reminder that the security situation in Haiti cannot wait – too many innocent lives are being lost."

As of Saturday evening, a GoFundMe campaign for the Baker and Lloyd families had raised more than $53,000. Another GoFundMe campaign for the funeral expenses of the young couple had reached over $45,000.

Memphis mayor asks gangs for ceasefire amid 'epidemic of car break-ins' that gang members say they commit out of boredom

Memphis mayor asks gangs for ceasefire amid 'epidemic of car break-ins' that gang members say they commit out of boredom

The mayor of Memphis, Tennessee, met with local gang leaders and asked them to agree to a seven-day ceasefire, as crime has seemingly spiraled out of control in the city.

The mayor said that he had talks, not "negotiations," with Memphis gang leaders, with community representatives adding that the number of gangs in the city has also become a problem in itself.

"We've progressively seen new gangs formalize," said community leader K. Durell Cowan, founder of Heal 901, a Memphis nonprofit. "This is not the traditional area where you have four of five gangs ... we have hybrid gangs."

Memphis had a record 398 homicides in 2023, which is more than double what the city had five years prior. CNN reported that there had already been more than 600 major violent crimes in the first two months of 2024, with at least 40 homicides.

Memphis has also reached a 17-year high in crime, the Justice Department announced.

"Our city has had a big issue around crime over the last couple of years. ... We need to take it to the streets, we need to talk to the people that are actually engaged in the activity," Mayor Paul Young said about his talks with the gang leaders.

"What came out of the conversation is that they want to be a part of it. Since I had that dialogue ... there have been others that have reached out to me."

Youth crime was a particular focus for the mayor as he spoke to community leaders, with those between the ages of 16 and 24 highlighted as a group with more than 45,000 individuals either not working or not in school. Nearly 50% of those in the same age group live in poverty, according to statistics from a nonprofit called the Collective Blueprint.

The same nonprofit said that by the time those young adults turn 28, only 1% would be on the path toward earning a living wage.

However, the rate of arrests for violent crimes decreases by 45% for youth who have jobs or internships, according to Action News 5.

CNN's Victor Blackwell said that through speaking to various gang members in his career, he's learned they do not wish to become criminals.

"They're not aspiring to criminal activity, what they want is to belong," he told the mayor.

While the mayor described a lot of the gang leaders' requests as "heartfelt," he insisted it was just a conversation and not a negotiation.

The gang members told the mayor a recent "epidemic of car break-ins" was simply due to their younger gang members being bored and having nothing to do.

Including the break-ins, more than 3,500 property crimes were reported in January 2024 alone, according to police statistics.

"The things that our community needs aren't new, it's just something we have to lean into," the mayor said regarding the need for mentorship.

Young admitted, however, that there were some criminals who need to be taken "through the criminal justice system," but there are many others who he believes can be saved.

Bandits go on rampage at Mexican swimming resort, killing seven, including a child

Bandits raided a Mexican resort Saturday and slaughtered seven vacationers, including a 7-year-old child.

The attack took place at the La Palma resort around 4:30 p.m. in the Cortazar municipality of Guanajuato state, reported the Associated Press.

While initial reports indicated that around 20 people had been attacked and 10 injured, officials later confirmed that three women, three men, and a child had been murdered.

According to Reuters, an eighth victim inside the resort was left seriously injured.

Graphic photos show a chaotic scene, including bloodied bodies and overturned plastic chairs nearby a swimming pool. There was a pink backpack and children's belongings on a table nearby the bodies. The child killed in the attack appears to have been a little boy.

After the massacre, the bandits reportedly ransacked the spa shop and stole its security cameras.

A witness claimed "heavily armed sicarios" were responsible in a video documenting the aftermath.

Following the massacre, Mexican soldiers and local police attempted to track down the bandits, but no arrests have been made so far.

Guanajuato, a low-rent manufacturing hub for carmakers such as Toyota, is Mexico's most violent state.

Two cartels that traffic lethal drugs into the U.S. are competing for superiority in the region: the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and the local Santa Rose de Lima gang, backed by the Sinaloa Cartel.

\u201cAlthough Cortazar is part of the territories under the control of the CSRL, their enemies from the CJNG launch periodic attacks against them, trying to establish a beachhead either in the municipal center or in some of its rural communities. They have not succeeded so far.\u201d

Mexico's leftist president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has routinely downplayed the violence, reported the New York Times.

"Our adversaries are exaggerating," said Obrador. "It’s like staged, it’s propagandistic. There is no major problem, but they do want to grab that banner of violence."

DW reported that there have been over 350,000 murders in Guanajuato since 2006.

3,500 people were murdered in Guanajuato in 2019. Murders skyrocketed to nearly 5,000 in 2020, reported the Mexico Daily Post.

Guanajuato saw 993 murders in the first four months of 2022, and there have been no signs of the violence letting up in the intervening year.

In May 2022, 15 hooded gunman reportedly opened fire at a Mexican hotel, slaughtering seven women and three men. An eleventh victim later died in hospital. The massacre took place just hours after dismembered bodies were discovered nearby in plastic bags, reported the New York Post.

In October, a dozen people, mainly women, were gunned down in another bar. 10 more were left dead after a shooting in September.

The U.S. State Department maintains its travel warning to American travelers that "Violent crime — such as homicide, kidnapping, carjacking, and robbery — is widespread and common in Mexico."

The State Department asks Americans to reconsider travel to Guanajuato state, where this shooting took place, citing crime, kidnapping, and a high number of cartel-related murders.

While Guanajuato is especially deadly, tourists in more frequented Mexican states are still up against significant risks.

In March, a U.S. tourist was shot in the leg at a Mexican resort just south of Cancún, reported the Associated Press.

TheBlaze previously detailed how Dustan Jackson was mugged, butchered, and left for dead when attempting to leave Cancún.

An American family of nine, including 8-month-old twins, were brutally slaughtered in 2019 while traveling through Chihuahua, Mexico, just 100 miles south from the Arizona border.

Paul Nielsen and Janet Vasquez of Utah were also targeted in 2019. While they were both robbed and murdered in Guerrero, Mexico, their son survived with minor injuries.

Two Canadian tourists were gunned down at an upscale hotel in Mexico in January 2022.

NYC bicyclist on way to pull off suspected hit is gunned down himself in drive-by shooting: Cops, police sources

A New York City bicyclist on his way to pull off a suspected gang hit was gunned down in a drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning, cops and police sources told the New York Post.

What are the details?

The 26-year-old man was riding a bike at Crown Street and Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights, a Brooklyn neighborhood, around 2 a.m. when he was shot in the head in a drive-by shooting, police told the paper, adding that the vehicle used was a dark-colored sedan.

Police sources said the victim had been arrested a dozen times in the city and was wearing black rubber gloves when he was shot, the Post reported. Investigators believe he had planned with two other men to carry out a shooting, police sources added to the paper.

The drive-by shooting victim was rushed to the Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, the paper said, adding that the shooting was believed to be gang-related.

What else?

Two other shootings took place in the city during a similar time frame, the Post said.

A drive-by shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at Astoria Boulevard North and Steinway Street in Queens, police told the paper.

Cops said the 27-year-old victim — also with multiple prior arrests — was shot in his left arm, left leg, and buttocks, the Post reported.

The shooter — who appeared to be wearing a black hoodie, black hat, and blue jeans — opened fire while driving south on Steinway Street in a white SUV, possibly a Dodge Durango, police added to the paper.

Investigators found six shell casings at the scene, the Post said.

In addition, a 21-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and lower back around 11:50 p.m. Monday on East 13th Street near University Place in Manhattan, authorities told the paper.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police told the Post.

The motive was unclear, and the victim was uncooperative with investigators, police added to the paper.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings, the Post said.

Violent crime and the NY governor's race

On Sunday, far-left New York Gov. Kathy Hochul — a Democrat who's running to hold on to her seat against GOP challenger Lee Zeldin — claimed that Republicans are pushing a "conspiracy" that Democrat states are "not as safe."

Hochul said "shootings and murders are down in our state by 15 percent, even in New York City; down 20 percent on Long Island, where Lee Zeldin comes from ... and it's the Republican states where they have almost no restrictions on guns. Because of the abundance of guns, people are killing each other with more frequency. The safer places are the Democratic states."

During the pair's debate last week, Zeldin argued that Hochul is soft on crime — to which Hochul replied, "I don't know why that's so important to you." A recent Quinnipiac poll found crime is the most important issue to New York voters.
