Misogyny? Please: Our real problem is female entitlement

With sensitive subjects, I believe it’s best to be direct, so let’s rip the Band-Aid off: This article is about female narcissism.

It’s not about men’s faults; those are catalogued and exaggerated around the clock, every day of the year. This piece is about a truth that many people know, and have noticed, but that almost no one will dare say.

I spent decades being the 'gay best friend' in platonic female friendships. Men like me know things about women that many other men don’t.

Since the rise of feminism in the 1960s, American women have entered the workforce in unprecedented numbers, overtaken men in college matriculation (58%), and become the vast numerical majority in every industry related to childcare and instruction.

But a strange and contradictory thing has happened along the way. The more "equality" American women have gained, the more solipsistic, entitled, self-focused, and immature they've become.

Exiles in gyno-ville

We are told that women have it worse than ever and that the average man is a misogynist. Not a “sexist.” Not even a “male chauvinist pig,” as the ladies in "9 to 5"would have called such men in the days of “women’s lib.” Nay. Men are now misogynists, a word that means roiling hatred for women because they’re women.

It is a term that, until the past 15 years, was only used to describe the most depraved men, psycho-sexual serial killers such as Richard Ramirez (the “night stalker”) or Ed Gein (“the butcher of Plainfield”).

Now, it’s glibly tossed off by self-confident but dissatisfied women toward men who don’t symbolically kneel and kiss their Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Men don’t want a second date with a woman? Misogynist. Male colleagues complain about women in HR censoring their conversations and managing their tone and terminology? Misogyny. Women with part-time jobs, or women who take time off to nurture their newborns, complain hilariously about the “gender pay gap.” They claim falsely that women are paid less for the exact same work with the exact same years of service. It’s not true. Not even a little bit.

But if you point that fact out? You guessed it: misogynist.

Hag-iography

I’m in an interesting position when it comes to commenting on the never-ending war of the sexes, a war that is being waged mainly by women against men. We men didn’t ask for these hostilities.

As a 50-year-old gay man, I spent the majority of my adult life as a leftist liberal before I matured and found grown-up conservatism. This meant I spent decades being the “gay best friend” in platonic female friendships. Men like me know things about women that many other men don’t.

When I was enacting an everyday version of Jack and Karen on "Will and Grace," I was the toast of female society. But when I began to notice the entitlement, the diva-like behavior, and the “give me stuff for free and expect nothing in return” attitude of many modern women, I was thrown to the curb.

Former friends called me — wait for it — a misogynist. And not just a misogynist but an especially virulent one. “Gay men are the most misogynistic men on the planet,” such women say in between sips of mimosas and texts to their gay BFF about what color they should ask for at the nail salon.

Some even speculated that my “anger at women” foretold a future career as a spree killer (I wish I were joking).

The fog of feminism

We’re not experiencing an epidemic of male misogyny. We’ve been living in a gynocracy for decades, and we’re saddled with a bumper crop of women who have never been told “no.” They’ve never been denied a participation trophy or a promotion to HR manager. They’ve never been told they’re not a “10.” They’re not even expected to say “thank you” when a gentleman holds a door for a lady.

Some readers think I exaggerate. They’re constructing an image of me as a “bitter” or “frustrated” man. This is where the modern female mind (and the minds of too many feckless, gelded men) go when women are held to the same standards of deportment and adult behavior that men are expected to maintain.

It’s a fish-who-doesn’t-know-what-water-is problem. Since the flower power era, feminism has been the oxygen that all Americans, liberal and conservative, breathe. We think outsized female self-regard and entitlement is normal, but it’s not. It’s recent, and it’s at the root of huge societal problems, “wokeness” being the biggest.

Dumping on men

Let me give you an example from the real world. This will indeed seem like “no big deal” to many readers, and it’s true that it’s a mild incident. But consider whether you would react that way if the sexes were reversed.

I went to the city dump to unload a car full of branches and lawn trimmings. As I hauled the leaves over to the pile, two late-middle-aged women in twin-set sweaters and pearls were doing the same about five feet from me.

One said to the other, knowing full well that I was standing there, “Where are the men? Why should we have to do this? Do they do anything?” They both gave a soft, suburban chuckle. Her friend responded, “At least when women are around we know work will get done.”

Were I to respond to those women the way they would have responded to me in the reverse, I would have shrieked, “Misandrist!” and run home to tell my wife how unsafe I felt at the town grass tip. The point is, it would not even occur to most men to be so gauche about women in mixed company. Not only are most men not inclined to give women social offense that way, they know damned well they’d be punished if they did.

Expired tarts

This brings me to, of all people, Taylor Swift. The biggest pop star in the world became a household name by singing forgettable songs about inadequate men and the trauma of a teenager’s dating life. Thing is, she’s still singing about this stuff at age 35. And her concerts are packed not just with teen girls, but with suburban moms well into their 50s, crying the way adolescent girls did in the early '60s when the Beatles first washed ashore.

This is not normal. This infantilized girlboss pose by mothers and career women has no historical precedent. For all the talk of shiftless, video-gaming boys and young men, we spill precious little ink on the fact that adult women think nothing of dressing like 16-year-old tarts and waxing about how they’re in their “soft girl era.”

It’s undignified and so is the direction Miss Swift is taking with the publicity for her new album. Take a look at the photo she released on social media.

It’s too generous to call that garment a teddy; it’s closer to a gownless evening strap (pacé Shirley Bassey). Her rump is exposed, and she’s bending over to stick out her backside while leaning against what looks like a truck stop bathroom wall. Even the lighting looks like grimy gay male pornography from the 1970s.

Aging like milk

What does this have to do with the state of ordinary, everyday, non-Taylor Swift women? A lot.

Miss Swift is doing on stage what millions of workaday women are doing on the street. She is refusing to age gracefully, and she’s getting raunchier as time goes on. This has been a pattern with women for the past 15 years, as mothers don’t want to be seen as mothers but as the older, more ... experienced version of their nubile daughters.

This is the friction point where we can see that modern female narcissism is an expression of extreme insecurity in women. These ladies have a terribly sad belief that the only thing of value they have to offer is sex. And no, it’s not the "male gaze” or “male producers” who are at fault. Taylor Swift — and Linda Smith down the street — are doing this to themselves.

Women call it the “invisibility” problem. On leaving youth and entering middle age, they say, men stop looking at them as desirable. This is a double-edged sword for most women. Many express relief at not having their breasts and backside ogled (men are cads; women aren’t making that up), but at the same time, they complain bitterly about no longer being perceived as sex objects.

Lust for life?

They blame this on “patriarchal” male tastes, but that’s just feminist cope. If fault there be, it is the fault of nature, not social constructs. Women lose their sexual appeal after youth in a way that men, largely, do not. This is a fact. No, it's not a fun or favorite fact. But it is a fact.

Women seem to believe they are entitled to be lusted after and desired at 45, 55, 65, the way a fresh-faced college girl turns men’s heads. It’s ridiculous. Look at Madonna (67), Cher (79), or Jennifer Lopez (56). That’s the road Taylor Swift is on, and mind-bogglingly, it’s the road way too many normal women seem determined to travel.

Kavin Mazur/Taylor Hill/Xavi Torrent/Getty Images

The problem these women are facing, I believe, stems from the fact that so many have stayed adolescent girls their whole lives instead of learning from the example of their grandmothers. There is an arc to a woman's life. Some have called it Maiden, Mother, Crone. If you don't like that, label it some way you find pleasing.

Grande dames wanted

There is a role for middle-aged and old women, at least there always used to be. It was upheld in almost all societies before the mid-20th century. Even the actresses of old Hollywood, beauty queens in youth like Joan Crawford, assumed this role as they aged. Our grandmothers assumed this role.

It is the role of the grande dame. It is the carriage of a mature, put-together, self-confident, and wise woman. A true matriarch. Hair goes up, and hems go down.

Youthful beauty and sex appeal are natural to the young part of a woman’s life; this tracks with evolutionarily programmed facts of reproduction. When one is past one’s reproductive prime, life offers new roles to men and women.

But not in the 2020s. But it doesn’t have to be this way for women. Dignity is available to those who will step into it.

Pelosi, Biden, And Other Democrat Elites Anoint Themselves To Make Decisions For The Rest Of Us

Nancy Pelosi said certain people hold views that block them from seeing what is in their best interest.

Biden is FURIOUS after he finds out why his polling numbers are dropping

When Joe Biden was informed of his polling situation in the battleground states of Michigan and Georgia, he was not happy.

This was reflected in a report detailing Biden’s angry response to finding out that his actions haven’t been pleasing his own voter base.

“There’s a report that when President Biden was told his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas was starting to affect his poll numbers,” Doocy said to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. “The quote is, ‘He began to shout and swear.’”

“So, when he does that, is he shouting and swearing about Netanyahu or about Hamas or about his poll numbers?” Doocy asked.

This is not a good sign for Biden, as his base may be a little too radicalized for him — and Sara Gonzales is well aware, noting that they’re angry he hasn’t given a “fist bump to Hamas.”

“That is your own base kind of shooting back at you,” Eric July tells Gonzales, explaining that it’s because “they have kind of radicalized not just, of course, the people, if you will, but even members of their party and how they generally approach the situation with Israel.”

Matthew Marsden is in agreement, saying, “They eat their own.”

“They do because there’s no real underlying higher moral order for them,” he continues. “When you have that situation, you end up cannibalizing each other.”

This is why the right has a stronger chance of winning than the left.

“We actually have morals, and we have objectives that we want to achieve,” Marsden adds.

Target faces boycott for selling 'tuck-friendly' bathing suits, LGBTQ onesies for babies, 'trans power' T-shirts, drag queen books for young children

Despite Pride month being nearly two weeks away, Target has already rolled out LGBTQ sections in its stores and on its website. The retail giant is facing backlash for selling "tuck-friendly" bathing suits and LGBTQ onesies for babies.

Target offers 2,351 products in its Pride collection, including clothing, items for pets, home furnishings, stationery, books, music, and movies.

There are "gender fluid" mugs, "queer all year" calendars, "trans pride, trans power" cards, and Pride Milkbone dog treats.

There are books for children ages 4 to 8 titled: "The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish," "Bye Bye, Binary," "The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag," "The Gay, B, Cs," and "Are You a Girl or Are You a Boy?"

Target's Pride collection for babies and children features a baby onesie with bunnies, teddy bears, and mermaids proudly holding the LGBTQ flag. There is also a baby onesie featuring the colors of the so-called "Progress Pride flag," which has the rainbow flag, but also represents people of color and the trans community.

Target also sells LGBTQ T-shirts celebrating drag queens and shirts that read: "Trans people will always exist," "Support trans futures," "Say gay," "Homophobia, transphobia can be treated with education," "Trans pride, trans power," and "Sorry, can't think straight."

Target faces an inferno of criticism over a "tuck-friendly" Pride bathing suit. The tag on the swimsuit boasts about providing "tuck-friendly construction" and "extra crotch coverage."

The over-the-top push of an LGBTQ agenda has some conservatives advocating customers ostracize Target, much like the boycott of Bud Light following the Dylan Mulvaney marketing debacle.

A year ago, Target garnered backlash after the retail chain began selling "pro-trans merchandise for children, as well as 'chest binders' and 'packing underwear' supposedly for adults." Chest binders constrict a female's breasts, and packing underwear provides a bulge to biological females to make it appear that they have a penis.

BlazeTV's "Relatable" host, Allie Beth Stuckey — who started boycotting Target last year over its controversial Pride collection — delivered scathing commentary on the retail chain's advocacy of transgender products.

Kathy Griffin's Twitter account gets suspended after impersonating Elon Musk, new CEO announces strict rules against impersonations

Comedian and progressive activist Kathy Griffin had her Twitter account suspended on Sunday after violating the social media platform's terms of service. Griffin had been impersonating Elon Musk on Twitter.

Griffin altered her Twitter account to make it appear that it was Musk's official page. She changed her feature image to the same photo that Musk has and renamed her account to "Elon Musk."

Screenshots show Griffin was also impersonating Musk in her tweets. In the impersonating tweets, Griffin instructed people to vote for Democrats in the midterm elections.

“These celebrities impersonating @elonmusk to attempt and influence people on how to vote is the weirdest celebrity trend. The latest is d lister @kathygriffin.”

Even before Musk took over Twitter, it was against the social media network's terms of service to impersonate someone.

You may not impersonate individuals, groups, or organizations to mislead, confuse, or deceive others, nor use a fake identity in a manner that disrupts the experience of others on Twitter.

We want Twitter to be a place where people can find authentic voices. That means one should be able to trust that the person or organization featured in an account’s profile genuinely represents the account owner. While you are not required to display your real name or image on your profile, your account should not engage in impersonation or pose as someone who doesn’t exist in order to deceive others. Accounts that use deceptive identities can create confusion, as well as undermine the integrity of conversations on Twitter. For this reason, you may not misappropriate the identity of another person, group, or organization, or create a fake identity for deceptive purposes.

Accounts that impersonate others face profile modifications, temporary account suspension, and permanent suspension.

On Sunday, Musk issued a stern warning for anyone thinking about impersonating other accounts.

"Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying 'parody' will be permanently suspended," Musk tweeted. "Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning."

"This wil l be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue," the Twitter CEO stated.

Griffin previously besmirched Musk as a "white supremacist."

"Think of the damage Zuckerberg has done. Musk is a Piers Morgan level media thirsty, vindictive, white supremacist who is looking to convince you he is an innovative disruptor," Griffin said in April.

Musk replied, "The extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all."

Musk added, "By 'free speech', I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people."

PayPal bans Gays Against Groomers but permits pedophile support group on platform

In an update shared after Gays Against Groomers was permanently banned from using PayPal, the anti-child-sexualization group revealed the payment processing company permits groups that support pedophiles to use its services.

Gays Against Groomers posted screenshots last week that show an organization called the Protasia Foundation is permitted to use both PayPal and Venmo to process donations to its partner the "MAP Support Club." MAP stands for "minor attracted people," a euphemism for pedophiles. Both groups advocate for the acceptance of pedophilia as a sexual orientation, rather than a depraved perversion.

"While we’re not allowed to conduct business on PayPal, guess who is… an organization that offers a support group for 'MAPs,'" Gays Against Groomers tweeted. "@PayPal banned us for being against pedophilia, but allow actual pedophile groups to use their services unabated."

Protasia is a California-based progressive charity that claims to fight child sexual abuse in a "balanced" and "evidence-based" approach that reduces "harms caused to children and others" by "our society's predominantly reactive child protection agenda." The group states that "peer support for stigmatized populations," or pedophiles, is believed by some experts to reduce sexual abuse.

The separate organization MAP Support Club is "a community for minor attracted people to find friendship and understanding among peers." The support club operates a chat-based "peer-support network" for adolescents and adults who feel sexual urges toward children. Protasia partners with MAP Support Club and says it serves as the organization's legal point of contact.

"Since the average age at which minor attracted people discover their attractions is 14 years old and since a large proportion of CSA is committed by adolescents against younger minors, this is an important endeavor in helping teenagers come to terms with their attractions in a harm-free and law-abiding way," Protasia's website states. "Adults and teens cannot message each other on MSC."

MAP Support Club runs its own staff, according to Protasia, which has created open source software to help monitor chatrooms for illegal child pornography "as an additional safeguarding measure."

Critics like Canadian writer Anna Slatz have attacked Protasia's mission, highlighting how the organization seeks to mainstream pedophilia by campaigning against child pornography bans, advocating for the legalization of child sex dolls, and funding research for "fantasy sexual outlets" for pedophiles.

Gays Against Groomers complained that an organization that literally defends pedophiles is permitted to use PayPal and Venmo while their group, which opposes indoctrinating children with "radical gender theory," is accused of hatred, intolerance, and discrimination.

PayPal shuts down accounts belonging to groups that opposed drag queen story hour with kids

PayPal this week shut down multiple accounts associated with groups critical of the transgender movement, including the U.K.-based Free Speech Union and the nonprofit Gays Against Groomers.

"We have just been BANNED from @Venmo and @PayPal (within minutes of each other) for 'violating' their user agreements," Gays Against Groomers announced on Twitter Tuesday, sharing screenshots of emails from the payment processing companies. "We are an organization that consists entirely of gay people whose only mission is to safeguard children from abuse. Woke homophobia is real, folks."

— Gays Against Gr██mers (@Gays Against Gr██mers) 1663656430

"And more importantly than the woke homophobia is the fact that more and more companies are coming out in full support of the sexualization, indoctrination, and medicalization of minors," Gays Against Groomers added. "They will soon regret this unprecedented decision. Stay tuned."

The emails from Venmo and PayPal accuse Gays Against Groomers of violating each company's respective user agreement. The group, which represents "a coalition of gay people who oppose the recent trend of indoctrinating, sexualizing and medicalizing children," was permanently banned on both platforms. PayPal owns Venmo.

On the same day, the Telegraph reported that PayPal shut down the accounts of Free Speech Union, its founder Toby Young, and his opinion and news website the Daily Sceptic last week without a clear explanation. Free Speech Union is a nonpartisan organization that opposes cancel culture and has defended academics who have criticized transgenderism and people who have been fired for expressing their opinions.

Young told the Telegraph that PayPal claimed the accounts violated its "Acceptable Use Policy" and said the banning was a "sinister form of cancel culture."

“The FSU has been demonetised by @PayPal for daring to stand up for #freespeech.

Thank you to all who stand in solidarity with us – existing members, supporters, and the many new members joining us today.

Here's a thread about who we are and what we do.”
— The Free Speech Union (@The Free Speech Union) 1663771386

A PayPal spokesman would not comment on individual customers, but told the paper PayPal "regularly assesses activity against our long-standing Acceptable Use Policy and will discontinue our relationship with account holders who are found to violate our policies."

“Achieving the balance between protecting the ideals of tolerance, diversity and respect for people of all backgrounds and upholding the values of free expression and open dialogue can be difficult, but we do our best to achieve it,” the spokesperson said, according to the Telegraph.

Further comments from PayPal given to the Advocate suggest the bans are related to both Free Speech Union and Gays Against Groomers' public opposition to "radical gender theory" and drag queen story hours in schools.

“We just learned through a hit piece written about us by @TheAdvocateMag that @PayPal banned our accounts intentionally.

They said that don’t allow the promotion of discrimination but literally discriminated against us for being (the wrong kind of) gay?? Make it make sense.”

"PayPal's policy is not to allow our services to be used for activities that promote hate, violence, or discriminatory intolerance," the spokesperson wrote. "We base our reviews of accounts on these parameters, taking action when we deem that individuals or organizations have violated this policy."

Hours after being banned by PayPal, Gays Against Groomers shared that the group's gmail account had also been disabled.
