‘She Did Poorly’: Geraldo Rivera Hammers Harris Over Response To Border Questions
'She should have an answer for that'
“Every now and then, a debate is so clear ... who won and who lost that they can't really lie about it,” says Dave Rubin.
That was the case during Trump’s debate against Biden, which was the catalyst that kickstarted Biden’s dropping out, and it was certainly the case in the VP debate on Tuesday.
Even the mainstream networks couldn’t deny that Vance mopped the floor with Walz.

In a News Nation clip, Geraldo Rivera told Dan Abrams, “There is no doubt in my mind, however Governor Walz did in terms of sincerity that Vance won this debate.”
In another News Nation clip, Chris Cuomo said, “At one point, Vance wanted to correct something about how Haitians got into this country, and he was right, and the moderators wouldn't let him correct it.”
In a clip from CNN, John King told Jake Tapper, “The two issues driving the campaign right now are Harris has a big deficit on the economy; Harris has a big deficit on immigration. And Republicans were happy tonight and Democrats a little bit nervous that on those two issues, Vance carried it.” Tapper nodded in agreement.
In another CNN clip, Tapper said, “JD Vance is much more experienced at this — at public speaking, at defending himself, at pivoting.”
CNN’s Abby Phillip also told Dana Bash that she saw “a clear lack of preparation and execution” on the part of Tim Walz in the debate.
Bash disagreed and said, “I think actually it’s the opposite. I think he had too much preparation.”

Fox News correspondent-at-large Geraldo Rivera said he was fired from "The Five" and announced that he had subsequently quit the cable news network.
Rivera made the announcement in a video posted to Twitter. Rivera recorded the video on a "bumpy day on the North Atlantic" from a boat traveling from Jones Beach in Long Island, New York, to Manhattan.
"So it doesn’t look like I’m going to be on 'The Five,' I mean, I’m not going to be on 'The Five,"" Rivera said in the video. "I’ve been fired from 'The Five.' And as a result of that. I quit Fox."
Rivera said he'll have more to say about him quitting Fox News on the Friday morning episode of "Fox and Friends." He said that Friday's appearance would likely be his last on Fox News.
Rivera captioned the video: "Bumpy day on the North Atlantic. Anyway, I got fired from The Five so I quit Fox. After 23 years tomorrow Fox and Friends could be my last appearance on the network. Thanks for the memories."
Last week, Rivera revealed that he would no longer be appearing on "The Five."
The correspondent, who turns 80 next week, said, "It's been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large."
"It has been a rocky ride, but it has also been an exhilarating adventure that spanned quite a few years,” he told the news outlet last week. "I hope it’s not my last adventure."
Rivera told the Associated Press that his decision to leave the show was because of "growing tension that goes beyond editorial differences." He noted that Fox News did not "race" after him to stay on the popular panel cable news show.
"I'm 80 years old. I don’t want the friction. 'The Five' is too intimate a place and it gets too personal," Rivera said.
Rivera claimed that he was scolded by "The Five" host Greg Gutfeld over comments criticizing Tucker Carlson's coverage of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

Fox News Channel personality Geraldo Rivera suggested that former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie "could be the strongest GOP alternative for" president.
"Chris Christie could be the strongest GOP alternative for POTUS; savvy, swagger, moderation, toughness," Rivera tweeted.
Rivera was ridiculed on social media.
"I have to tell you, I find Geraldo impressive in his ability to have created a fairly lucrative career by being wrong so many times. . ." American Majority founder and CEO Ned Ryun tweeted.
"Time to switch to a non-hallucinogenic mustache wax, dude," someone else tweeted.
"Geraldo says the stupidest things ever spewed by mankind but this has to be top 5 stupidest tweets," someone else wrote.

Christie, who served as governor of the Garden State from early 2010 through early 2018, mounted a presidential bid in 2015 but ultimately dropped out in 2016.
"Next 45 to 60 days," Christie said of when he will decide whether to throw his hat into the ring for the 2024 contest, the Washington Examiner reported last week. "I think running for president of the United States is an intensely personal decision. And that's one that anybody who's considering it should have the right to make on their own regardless of anybody else's thoughts on it."
Former President Donald Trump has already announced another White House bid, as have former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and author and Strive co-founder Vivek Ramaswamy.
"With Donald Trump at the top of the ticket, you can be sure of the fact that we'll have another four years of Joe Biden, and that to me is not acceptable for this country," Christie said, according to the Examiner.
Last year, Rivera described then-GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming as "a once-in-a-generation stand up hero."
In 2021, Rivera opined that Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York "outshines every other member of Congress in eloquence and passionate sincerity."

Fox News host Geraldo Rivera brandished a musket during a debate about the Second Amendment on Tuesday, suggesting that only antiquated firearms are acceptable to own.
Last week, Rivera falsely claimed the "AR" in "AR-15" means "assault rifle." Actually, the two letters stand for "ArmaLite," the company that designed and manufactured the original AR-15 rifle. Additionally, the AR-15 is not an "assault rifle," which by definition refer to fully automatic rifles. AR-15s, rather, are semiautomatic.
Hannity reminded Rivera that "AR" does not "stand for assault rifle," to which Rivera protested that he merely described the AR-15 as an "assault rifle"
"You probably have not fired one and compared and contrasted it to other weapons," Hannity shot back. "The reality is, whether it's a pistol, whether it's a rifle, America's Second Amendment is clear. The right of the people to keep and to bear arms shall not be infringed."
Then invoking California Gov. Gavin Newsom's recent condemnation of the Second Amendment, Hannity added, "He is surrounded by armed guards, Hollywood elite are surrounded by armed guards. The people that make this country great have a right to defend themselves and their family and their property. And by people trying to take away that right from them, they are denying them the very security that they, the elite, have.
"Why would you support that?" Hannity then asked. "What would you do if somebody broke into your home?"

As Hannity was dressing him down, Rivera spoke to someone off camera: "Give me that rifle." Rivera then appeared on-screen with a muzzle-loaded long gun.
"This is what weapons looked like," Rivera shouted as he held the antiquated gun. "This is what they looked like when the Second Amendment was passed. This is what they looked like."
"I'll let everyone in the country — you wanna own this? You can own this," he continued. "You can load it, you can do whatever you want with it. What you don't want, though, is to give them weapons of war that they can tear the hell out of people with."
Both Hannity and guest Pete Hegseth mocked and laughed at Rivera. Hannity said the gun is "very cute" and warned Rivera that he might get arrested in New York for possessing it. Hegseth joked that he will "ride to work on a horse."

Well, it didn’t take long for the talking heads on mainstream media to bloviate about how horrible and scary AR-15s are. Perhaps the most embarrassing moment came from the so-called reporter, "empty-headed Geraldo Rivera," who impressively managed to get basically everything he said about AR-15s completely wrong.
The fact that this guy will still have a job next week shows everything that is wrong with cable news tied up in one package. No, it doesn’t stand for “automatic rifle” because it’s not an automatic weapon.

Geraldo Rivera, a left-wing Fox News Channel personality, suggested on "The Five" that the "AR" in "AR-15" stands for "automatic rifle" — he gave the answer after Greg Gutfeld asked Rivera what "AR"stands for.
Rivera suggested that owning an AR-15 is about people being macho and claimed that there is not a legitimate purpose for owning one, aside from perhaps being used in sport clubs.
"Those most passionate about 'gun control' tend to know the least about guns," the Daily Caller tweeted when sharing a clip of Rivera.

"Heard the Daily Caller and fellow travelers are ranting about my incorrect definition on-air of 'AR' as in AR-15. Whatever. Point is, there is no place (other than sporting clubs and similar skilled settings) for assault rifles. They're substitute appendages," Rivera tweeted.
NPR has indicated that the "AR" traces back to, ArmaLite, Inc. and stands for ArmaLite Rifle.
The modern AR-15-style weapons made by gun manufacturers are semi-automatic — the guns have become a significant point of societal debate, with opponents often referring to them as "assault weapons" and calling for them to be banned.
Back in 2021, Rivera suggested that Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York "outshines every other member of Congress in eloquence and passionate sincerity."
And last year, the left-leaning TV personality described then-Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, a Republican, as "a once-in-a-generation stand up hero." Cheney, who voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, lost her 2022 GOP primary and departed from office earlier this year. She was one of the two Republican lawmakers who served on the House select committee that investigated the Jan. 6 episode.
