WATCH: Lara Trump tells Sara Gonzales how she plans to win elections as RNC chair

Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, recently announced her plans to run as the new co-chair for the Republican National Committee in the wake of Ronna McDaniel’s announcement that she’d be stepping down.

Now, Laura joins Sara Gonzales to discuss her plans for rebuilding and rebranding the Republican Party.

“This is a position for which I never imagined I'd run, but I also never imagined our country would be in such a bad spot,” she says. “We really have a must-win election on November 5, and the reality is you cannot win a presidential election without the Republican National Committee.”

She goes on to explain how the key to success will be “changing our approach” when it comes to elections.

“As conservatives ... we want paper ballots; we want voter ID everywhere, but we don't live in that day right now, and the way we get to that spot is electing president Donald Trump, taking back the Senate, and expanding our lead in the House so we can actually make those substantive changes,” she tells Sara.

For now, she says, “we need to make sure that early voting is something we are talking about as conservatives. The first day early voting starts in your state ... get out and vote; then you take someone with you every day up until Election Day to vote” so that the party has “banked votes” and avoids “going into Election Day at a deficit.”

Further, we need “trained poll-watchers ... who can physically handle the ballots” and “count how many ballots are coming into a location and how many are going out, so we don't have miraculous suitcases full of ballots showing up after or on Election Day.”

Perhaps, more than anything, “we need to re-establish trust in this entity — the RNC,” Lara says.

As a Trump family member, Lara says she’ll “be watching every penny and ensuring it goes to causes we care about.”

She also intends to “check out every vendor that the RNC is using” as well as “all of the staff there.”

When Sara asked if she would be open to working with Scott Presler, Lara said, “I think Scott Presler is amazing. What he’s done for voter registration is incredible,” adding that she hopes to “put him in charge of our legal ballot-harvesting operation.”

“[Democrats] have the whole media apparatus behind them,” she explained, adding that it’s “basically their marketing arm.”

“We know that they've been slippery in elections before ... and it's not going to be their first rodeo, so, we've got to play the game even better,” which is why she “loves the idea of Scott Presler.”

Finally! Trump confirms list of potential VP candidates

People have been anxiously awaiting Donald Trump’s VP candidate list, and now they finally have their wish.

“Donald Trump discussed a short list of potential VP candidates during [a recent] town hall meeting,” says Sara Gonzales.

“So it's, of course, Governor Ron DeSantis from Florida, Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds … and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.”

To gauge her followers’ feelings regarding the list of potential candidates, Sara posted the following poll on her Twitter page:

Unfortunately, “they only allow you to pick four choices, so I couldn't include all of them,” she says.

“Vivek’s running away with it at 50%, but Tulsi Gabbard at 20%, more than DeSantis?” she asks in disbelief.

“We are in such a cult-of-personality era in politics, where policy doesn't really matter,” says Glenn Beck chief researcher Jason Buttrill, adding that “Tulsi Gabbard [getting] 20% over an actual conservative with a proven track record like Ron DeSantis is terrifying.”

If you’re voting based on “the ability to destroy the left and track record, you vote 100% for Ron DeSantis; if you're voting for the smartest man in the room who’s got amazing ideas … you would vote for Vivek,” he continues, noting that Tulsi Gabbard may work well in a Trump administration as a member of the “State Department” or the “[Department of Defense]” but as far as policy goes, she’d be a terrible choice.

“She was a Bernie bro,” says Sara in agreement.

GOP Debate Outs Two Candidates As Parents’ Worst Nightmare

'She wants to send our sons and daughters and our military equipment to go and fight it'

Nikki Haley thought she cornered Ron DeSantis on this issue, but his response shut her down immediately

It’s no secret that Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis aren’t exactly cordial. The two candidates are known to go for each other’s throats during debates, and the fourth GOP debate was no exception.

At one point during the debate, Haley attacked DeSantis with the accusation that he didn’t sign a bathroom bill preventing biological males from entering women’s restrooms.

“This shows how hypocritical Ron continues to be. When he was running for governor ... he said he didn't think bathroom bills were a good use of his time,” she fired.

It would’ve been a solid strategic attack if the allegation were true.

But it wasn’t true.

“I signed a bathroom bill in Florida, so that’s obviously not true,” DeSantis laughed as the crowd applauded.

Haley tried to stoke the fire of her attack, but it just didn’t work.

“I signed it; you killed it,” DeSantis continued, accusing Haley of failing to protect girls.

“Ron DeSantis did sign the bathroom bill; she completely made that up,” confirms Dave Rubin, who pulls up the official documentation of the signed bill that prevents biological males from entering female restrooms in Florida.

“Nikki Haley never signed such a bill; so she flat-out lied.”

Watch: Vivek Ramaswamy RIPS into Nikki Haley over identity politics

The fourth GOP debate had no shortage of drama and theatrics. One notable moment was when Vivek Ramaswamy tore into Nikki Haley for rooting her campaign in identity politics.

He claimed that identity politics has become America’s “new religion that says your race, your gender, and your sexuality are your identity.”

“It’s anti-American; it’s anti-meritocratic,” he said before criticizing the fact that “Nikki Haley's campaign launch video sounded like a woke Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light ad talking about how she would kick in heels” and how “at the first debate, she said that only a woman can get this job done.”

“I reject the use of identity politics in this party; it has been a cancer coming from the left, and I'm sick and tired of the double standards,” he criticized over a mixture of cheering and booing from the audience.

“Amen,” says Sara Gonzales in agreement. “You don't need to be walking around claiming that being a woman gives you some sort of special powers.”

Even if you hate Chris Christie, you have to see this from last night's debate

Overall, Chris Christie has not been taken seriously as a presidential candidate. He’s often the butt of jokes, the subject of viral memes, and the laughingstock of former debates.

However, he did seem to have a shining moment during the fourth GOP debate when he was awarded with applause and cheers of approval from the audience.

Dave Rubin plays the clip when Christie ripped into Vivek Ramaswamy for hurling petty insults at competitor Nikki Haley.

“This is the fourth debate that you would be voted in the first 20 minutes as the most obnoxious blowhard in America, so shut up for a while,” Christie fired as Ramaswamy attempted to interrupt.

But Christie wasn’t even close to finished.

“We’re now 25 minutes into this debate, and he has insulted Nikki Haley’s basic intelligence — not her positions,” Christie continued, referencing Ramaswamy’s former comments that Haley “doesn't know regions” and “wouldn't be able to find something on a map that his 3-year-old could find.”

“Look, if you want to disagree on issues, that’s fine, and Nikki and I disagree on some issues, but I'll tell you this: I've known her for 12 years, which is longer than he's even started to vote in a Republican primary,” Christie said over the laughter of the audience, “and while we disagree about some issues and we disagree about who should be president the United States, what we don't disagree on is this is a smart, accomplished women, and you should stop insulting her.”

Again, the crowd cheered and whooped in obvious support.

“The 12-year line was kind of good,” admits Dave, but he doesn’t think Ramaswamy necessarily insulted Haley’s intelligence by asking her to point out some Ukrainian provinces that she wants to “give hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars to.”

Hilarious! Comedian Dave Landau ROASTS candidates after 4th GOP debate

Comedians are known for being truth-tellers, and Dave Landau is no exception — especially when it comes to his post-debate analysis.

Glenn Beck found Landau’s roast-style analysis “strangely spot-on” following the fourth GOP debate hosted by Megyn Kelly and News Nation.

“They did have better etiquette than usual, but I’ve still seen more manners at a fist fight at Golden Corral,” he tells a laughing Glenn.

One moment Landau seems to remember fondly is the sign Vivek made, which was a piece of paper with “NIKKI = CORRUPT” scribbled across it.

“He didn’t have time to do a bad drawing of her,” Landau laughs before showing Glenn that he made some signs as well.

“Chris Christie + current eating habits = diabetes,” one sign reads. “Nikki Haley + two more years = hot flashes and night sweats,” reads another.

He even went after the originator of the sign method, Vivek.

“Vivek + fake hate crimes = Hasan Minaj,” he reads, holding the sign proudly for the BlazeTV team.

He didn’t spare DeSantis either.

“DeSantis + shoe lifts = DeSantis,” he reads.

But the roast doesn’t end there.

“I think Vivek could be a good attack dog, I just don’t see him as a president. He just seems a kind of nerdy kid you’d invite to a party just so when he passes out you could draw genitals on his forehead,” he jokes.

As for Nikki Haley, “she just looks like an actress who’s about to lose a lot of work. Like she’s right at that level.”

And while others believe DeSantis won the debate, Landau sees it a different way.

“DeSantis is coming off less to me like a strong presidential candidate and more like an angry WNBA coach who’s down by 40 in the half,” he says, adding that while he likes him, “he just seems like he’s very mad at, like, his high school daughter.”
