Border encounters reach nearly 2.5 million for 2023, second straight record-setting year for illegal immigration under Biden

United States Customs and Border Protection reported the final month of southwest border encounters for fiscal year 2023, revealing yet another record-setting month and year under the Biden administration.

Official numbers totaled 269,735 encounters for September 2023, a new monthly record, which sets fiscal year 2023 at a record-setting 2,475,669.

The yearly total eclipses 2022's record encounters by nearly 100,000, marking yet another terrible year for President Biden's border control.

Previous reports that had estimated approximately 260,000 people crossing the border in September 2023 proved to be true. This exceeded the previous monthly record set under Biden in December 2022 at just over 250,000.

At the time, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed the president had taken "historic action" to control illegal immigration, the Washington Examiner reported. "The president has worked very hard to implement a strategy, when it comes to the border, that is humane, safe, and has orderly enforcement," she added.

Days later, the administration announced its plans to resume building the U.S.-Mexico border wall started under President Trump, despite Biden claiming that walls don't work. Biden also defied his previous landmark 2020 statement that "not another foot" of the border wall would be built.

In August 2020, Joe Biden declared "there will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration."

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) July 29, 2022

By comparison, both 2023 and 2022 fiscal years under President Biden saw more border encounters than the entirety of President Trump's term combined.

These last two record-setting years under President Biden even combined for nearly 1.5 million more border encounters than the entire eight years of Barack Obama's presidency, historical data shows.

Before Biden, it had been more than 13 years since an administration had a million illegal border crossings. It had also been more than 20 years since 1.6 million yearly border encounters. In fact, the record for yearly border encounters set under the Reagan administration in 1986 made it 35 years until it was broken under Biden's rule.

“This fiscal year may have ended, but the historic crisis at our southwest border sparked by Secretary Mayorkas’ policies rages on," said House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green.

According to the Washington Examiner, a total of 3.2 million non-U.S. citizens attempted to enter the country illegally in fiscal year 2023.

Liberal Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate gave no jail time to man who sexually assaulted 15-year-old

The liberal candidate in a contentious race to fill a vacancy on the Wisconsin Supreme Court is having to defend accusations that she has given some violent offenders light sentences.

Though Wisconsin Supreme Court races are officially non-partisan, there seems to be little doubt about the political persuasions of both candidates. Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly was initially appointed to the court in 2016 by then-Gov. Scott Walker (R). The conservative justice lost re-election in 2020, but is seeking to return.

Kelly's opponent, Milwaukee County Judge Janet Protasiewicz, has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for her campaign, much of it from out-of-state Democrats and their supporters. Protasiewicz has professed support for so-called abortion rights and argued that in overturning Roe, the U.S. Supreme Court ignored "the will of the people."

However, Protasiewicz has been largely criticized for the light sentences she has issued to some violent offenders. For example, in September 2020, Kenneth D. Wright, 28, pled guilty to third-degree sexual assault after he kidnapped a 15-year-old, raped her, continued a sexual relationship with her, and eventually impregnated her.

At his sentencing, Wright expressed no remorse and may have even blamed the victim and her parents for the assaults. Despite the horrific details of the crime and Wright's lack of contrition, Protasiewicz gave him no jail time.

"But for COVID, I would be giving you some House of Correction time," she said at sentencing. "These are strange times, Mr. Wright. I’m not going to do that."

That light sentence had deadly consequences. Less than a year later, Wright was driving under the influence in Milwaukee when he hit a speed of over 80 mph in a 30-mph zone and crashed his vehicle. The force of the crash caused Wright's passenger, Jamera Doyle, to be ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and Wright later pled guilty to reckless homicide.

Wright is not the only sexual predator whom Protasiewicz treated lightly from the bench. In late 2017,Jovian Reese, then 18, raped his cousin after she fell asleep while at his home. She awoke during the assault and ran to report it to her sister. Though Reese initially denied the accusations, her DNA was found on his penis, and his DNA was discovered on her breasts.

In March 2019 at Reese's sentencing for third-degree sexual assault, Protasiewicz apparently doubted the claims the victim made in her impact statement and instead seemed to treat the crime as a possible learning opportunity.

"Are you a danger to the public? I don't think so," she said to Reese. "I mean, I don’t think that you did anything other than engage in a crime of opportunity; and hopefully you’ve learned your lesson."

This is what Wisconsin liberal Supreme Court candidate Janet Protasiewicz said in court about a 23yr old man who raped his 14yr old cousin: "I don't think you did anything other than engage in a crime of opportunity and hopefully you've learned your lesson." pic.twitter.com/BuQV9rNGI7
— Greg Price (@greg_price11) March 21, 2023

During a recent debate when Kelly cited these examples and others to demonstrate Protasiewicz's soft-on-crime approach, Protasiewicz accused Kelly of lying and requested to see court transcripts because "that certainly doesn’t sound like anything I would do."

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) March 21, 2023

The Wisconsin GOP has also claimed that Protasiewicz gave no jail time to a woman who starved her son to death. Hector Pizarro weighed just 42 lbs. when he died a few years ago at age 16. His muscles were so deteriorated that his bones were visible, and reports indicate that his mother, Iraida Pizarro-Osorio, locked him in his room at night. In December 2020, Protasiewicz stayed Pizarro-Osorio's initial four-year prison sentence and instead sentenced her to four years of probation.

The special election to fill the Wisconsin Supreme Court vacancy left by the retirement of conservative Justice Patience Roggensack will be held on April 4. In the primary held last month, Protasiewicz cruised to an easy first-place finish, garnering 46% of the vote to Kelly's second-place finish of 24%. However, new polling released by conservative radio host Dan O'Donnell indicates that Kelly may now be within the margin of error.

EXCLUSIVE: We have obtained a new internal poll from Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) that shows conservative Supreme Court candidate Daniel Kelly trailing liberal Janet Protasiewicz by just 2 points (well within the poll's margin of error) pic.twitter.com/wN83hcCoqu

Biden makes BIZARRE pandering speech to Puerto Ricans — and even 'breakfast tacos' Jill is embarrassed for him

During his visit to storm-ravaged Puerto Rico, President Joe Biden awkwardly attempted to connect with his audience by making the bizarre claim that he "was sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community, at home, politically," which had something to do with Delaware's supposed "very large" Puerto Rican population back in the 1950s and '60s.

"Let me start off by saying that Jill and I ... we're anxious to be here. You know, I come from a little state, the little state of Delaware. It's not like the congresswoman from New York. She's from a big state," Biden told the enthralled audience.

"But we have a very — in relative terms — large Puerto Rican population in Delaware, relative to our population. We have the eighth-largest black population in the country. And between all minorities, we have 20% of our state is minority. And so, I was sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community at home, politically," he claimed.

Delaware's Puerto Rican community actually accounted for less than .4% of the state's total population when our 79-year-old commander in chief would actually have been "raised," according to the 1970 U.S. Census.

People on social media were quick to react to the president's latest pandering attempt:

\u201cWhen @JoeBiden claimed he was raised in the Puerto Rican community, I couldn't stop thinking of @SteveMartinToGo in the classic comedy The Jerk. "I was born a poor black child....."\u201d

Waukesha PD: Darrell Brooks "Intentionally Drove SUV Through Barricades Into a Crowd of People"

There it is.

Waukesha Police say Darrell Brooks "intentionally drove his maroon SUV through barricades into a crowd of people" at the Christmas parade

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) November 22, 2021

"At 4:39 PM, on Sunday, November 21st, 2021, a lone subject intentionally drove his Maroon SUV through barricades into a crowd of people who were celebrating the Waukesha Christmas Parade. Which resulted in killing five individuals, and injuring 48 additional individuals [...] 2 of the 48 are children and are in critical condition. We have information that the suspect prior to the incident was involved in a domestic disturbance which was just minutes prior. And the suspect left that scene just prior to our arrival to that domestic disturbance."

He is being charged with five counts of intentional homicide. Police went on to say Brooks acted alone nad, as of now, there is no evidence of terrorism. Just a guy trying to run down over fifty people with his car.

Some things are unclear. Like, the motive. Why would a multiple-time felon who was angry about the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict intentionally drive his car into a parade full of people? The domestic disturbance *may* have been the "knife fight" we heard he was fleeing. The police officer did say he left the domestic disturbance, and then intentionally drove his SUV into a crowd of people. If he was being chased, I'm assuming that would have been mentioned at the press conference. (UPDATE: There was no pursuit)

What we do know is that it was a mistake to release him on a $1000 cash bond just a few days earlier when he was in jail for a domestic abuse charge. The DA's office is investigating how they screwed that up.

Brooks is being charged with five counts of intentional homicide. But, again, the motive isn't clear. We can all take an educated guess. I just wouldn't want to be spreading misinformation.

CNN's Chris Cuomo dares Twitter user to name just one time he's denied facts he doesn't like — then the replies come rolling in

After the tongue lashing President Joe Biden gave CNN's Kaitlan Collins for her Vladimir Putin question earlier this week — for which Biden later apologized — far-left actress Rosanna Arquette was in no mood to make nice with the media.

Instead, she tweeted that the president was "right to lose his patience with a journalist or any journalist who tries to twist his words. Calling that crap out is the way forward. Enough bulls**t. The truth and nothing but the truth."

With that CNN's Chris Cuomo replied to Arquette that the "problem is truth is now at the mercy of what people want to be true. If you don't like it...it isn't the truth."

That apparently was too much to take for another Twitter user, who promptly called out Cuomo: "The story of your life, you constantly deny facts you don't like."

Uh oh.

Given the CNN host once threatened a guy in public who referred to him as Fredo, the weak brother in "The Godfather," Cuomo shot back and challenged his Twitter adversary to "name one" example:

It's on!

As you might guess, Twitter went a little nuts after Cuomo threw down — and his tweet has been getting ratioed ever since, showing about 2,500 replies to just 741 likes as of Friday afternoon.

And what did some of those replies contain? Well, a decent number answered Cuomo's dare to name just one example of him denying facts he doesn't like.

Commentary writer Drew Holden offered a few examples:

Also:

@ChrisCuomo Will you admit that the Hunter Biden laptop isn’t Russian disinformation or are you still clinging to that lie?

— Arthur Schwartz (@ArthurSchwartz) 1623985364.0

Another user offered a doozy of a reply: "Not enough Twitter space for your idiocy. Michael Avenatti BS; Covington kids lies; Brett Kavanaugh distortion; Russia Collusion over and over; Your Covid deception, etc. When people look for the 'Great Deceiver' on CNN they will say…'I knew it was you, Fredo. I knew it was you!'"

Here's more on the matter from Sky News:

15 months later, WaPo finally corrects report calling COVID lab leak a 'debunked' 'conspiracy theory'

The Washington Post this week finally produced a major correction to a 15-month-old report that wrongly referred to the coronavirus lab leak theory as a "conspiracy theory" that had already been "debunked."

What are the details?

The report, published in February 2020, detailed remarks made by Republican Sen. Tom Cotton (Ark.) surmising that the coronavirus pandemic may have originated from a lab in Wuhan, China. It was originally headlined, "Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus conspiracy theory that was already debunked."

Speaking with Fox News' Maria Bartiromo regarding the virus, Cotton had said, "We don't know where it originated, and we have to get to the bottom of that. We also know that just a few miles away from that food market is China's only biosafety level 4 super laboratory that researches human infectious diseases."

"Now, we don't have evidence that this disease originated there," the lawmaker acknowledged. "But because of China's duplicity and dishonesty from the beginning, we need to at least ask the question to see what the evidence says, and China right now is not giving any evidence on that question at all."

Cotton's comments seemed altogether measured and reasonable. But not to the Post, which appeared more interested in keeping to Democratic talking points than engaging the matter with any sort of intellectual curiosity.

Democracy dies in stealth edits on 15-month-old headlines https://t.co/FW6DoiqXSz

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) 1622576408.0

But now that the theory has surged back onto the scene and gained admissions of plausibility from President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Post saw fit to change its take, altering the headline to say: "Tom Cotton keeps repeating a coronavirus fringe theory that scientists have disputed."

The outlet also issued a correction on the article, stating: "Earlier versions of this story and its headline inaccurately characterized comments by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) regarding the origins of the coronavirus. The term 'debunked' and The Post's use of 'conspiracy theory' have been removed because, then as now, there was no determination about the origins of the virus."

What else?

But even with its correction, the Post massively downplayed the prominence of the lab leak theory — which is now, according to the president, one of two theories considered "likely" by the U.S. intelligence community.

Yet still the Post called it a "fringe" theory and stressed that "scientists have disputed" it.

The lab leak theory has been espoused for more than a year by conservative and alternative media organizations — including this one — based on mounting circumstantial evidence. Yet since the start of the pandemic, it has been readily dismissed by Democratic politicians and their media counterparts.

Fauci eviscerated online for 'cashing in' on pandemic with new book about 'truth' and 'service'

Critics online are lashing out at Dr. Anthony Fauci following the all-too-predictable news that the infectious disease expert will be cashing in on the coronavirus pandemic by releasing a new "life philosophy" book this year.

The forthcoming book, titled "Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward," was only just made available for pre-order purchase, but is already being hit with scathing criticism.

"Profiting from the pandemic with a book deal is truly a new low," Republican Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.) tweeted regarding the news.

Profiting from the pandemic with a book deal is truly a new low.https://t.co/sdsts2rtAg

— Rep Andy Biggs (@RepAndyBiggsAZ) 1622558845.0

"How very expected," conservative commentator Caleb Howe added in a tongue-in-cheek quip about the book's title.

How very expected. https://t.co/efd57VqyWk

— Caleb Howe (@CalebHowe) 1622569014.0

Washington Times columnist Tim Young commented, "Fauci has a book coming out, because of course the highest paid Federal Government grifter is cashing in even more on the pandemic."

Fauci has a book coming out, because of course the highest paid Federal Government grifter is cashing in even more on the pandemic.

— Tim Young (@TimRunsHisMouth) 1622561036.0

Fauci, who in January was appointed to serve as President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser in addition to his decades-long role as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is reportedly the highest-paid employee in the federal government — making $417,000 a year, even more than the president. Nevertheless, the allure of a pandemic-related book deal proved to be too tempting a prospect to pass up.

Of course, he isn't the first public official to ruminate about his experiences leading pandemic response efforts. Last year, the embattled Democratic governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, released a book highlighting his "true leadership."

Undoubtedly with that in mind, commentator Noah Blum suggested, "I really need the people in charge of handling this pandemic to stop writing books about how they're handling this pandemic while they're still doing it."

I really need the people in charge of handling this pandemic to stop writing books about how they're handling this… https://t.co/YEtnhYQnt0

— Noam Blum (@neontaster) 1622567715.0

The book's Amazon listing cues up the project's offering, saying, "In his own words, world-renowned infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci shares the lessons that have shaped his life philosophy, offering an intimate view of one of the world's greatest medical minds as well as universal advice to live by."

It also bills Fauci as "America's most trusted doctor," a view presumably shared by many, but rejected wholeheartedly by others who have maligned his flip-flopping and at times authoritarian approach to the managing the health crisis.

"Dr. Fauci is publishing a book and became the highest paid federal government employee while you lost your business and had your kids out of school for a year," the Daily Caller's Greg Price lamented.

Dr. Fauci is publishing a book and became the highest paid federal government employee while you lost your business… https://t.co/sFbnoencSs

— Greg Price (@greg_price11) 1622569180.0

In addition to Biggs, several other Republican congressmen — including Reps. Jim Jordan (Ohio), Mark Meadows (N.C.), and Dan Bishop (N.C.) — blasted the news online, recalling how Fauci's leadership restricted the First Amendment, led to stringent lockdown mandates, and closed schools.

The book is set to be released in early November, according to Publishers Lunch.

Longtime CNN contributor tweets, 'The world today needs a Hitler'; has history of anti-Semitism

A longtime contributor to CNN found himself in hot water after tweeting, "The world today needs a Hitler." The inflammatory tweet, which could be interpreted as a call for the extermination of the Jewish people, was posted to Twitter on Sunday amidst the rising tensions and violence between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East.

The CNN contributor quickly deleted the post, but it sparked social media users to comb through his Twitter profile. Adeel Raja, who has written dozens of articles for CNN, also appears to have a history of posting ant-Semitic messages on Twitter.

Donald Trump Jr. posted screenshots of the "Hitler" tweet as well as a CNN article that indicates Raja as a co-author, and his LinkedIn profile, where he describes himself as a "Freelance Contributor at CNN."

"Hey @cnn this seems to be one of yours, but I imagine that surprises no one anymore," Trump wrote.

The now-deleted "The world today needs a Hitler" tweet was just the tip of the iceberg. There were other tweets praising the murderous Nazi leader.

"The only reason I am supporting Germany in the finals — Hitler was a German and he did good with those Jews!" Raja wrote during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Another tweet from 2014 read, "My support for Germany is for what Hitler did to the Jews!"

One tweet from Raja's verified Twitter account said, "Hail Hitler!"

Raja responded to a Twitter user calling for "Palestinian genocide....inner Hitler among Germans must resurface," by enthusiastically tweeting, "Hell yeah!!!!!"

In another Twitter post, Raja urged terrorist groups to go to Israel, "ISIS, TTP, TALIBAN - please go to Israel ASAP!"
