Finally! Trump confirms list of potential VP candidates

People have been anxiously awaiting Donald Trump’s VP candidate list, and now they finally have their wish.

“Donald Trump discussed a short list of potential VP candidates during [a recent] town hall meeting,” says Sara Gonzales.

“So it's, of course, Governor Ron DeSantis from Florida, Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds … and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.”

To gauge her followers’ feelings regarding the list of potential candidates, Sara posted the following poll on her Twitter page:

Unfortunately, “they only allow you to pick four choices, so I couldn't include all of them,” she says.

“Vivek’s running away with it at 50%, but Tulsi Gabbard at 20%, more than DeSantis?” she asks in disbelief.

“We are in such a cult-of-personality era in politics, where policy doesn't really matter,” says Glenn Beck chief researcher Jason Buttrill, adding that “Tulsi Gabbard [getting] 20% over an actual conservative with a proven track record like Ron DeSantis is terrifying.”

If you’re voting based on “the ability to destroy the left and track record, you vote 100% for Ron DeSantis; if you're voting for the smartest man in the room who’s got amazing ideas … you would vote for Vivek,” he continues, noting that Tulsi Gabbard may work well in a Trump administration as a member of the “State Department” or the “[Department of Defense]” but as far as policy goes, she’d be a terrible choice.

“She was a Bernie bro,” says Sara in agreement.

Cops stop car showing anti-Israel slogans, swastikas; say loaded gun found inside. Driver reportedly aimed to 'educate the public' on Israel-Hamas war's 'true events.'

Police in New York state stopped a car this week that photos show was covered with anti-Israel slogans and swastikas — after which police said they found a loaded gun inside the vehicle.

What are the details?

Hani Saleh, 47, of Elmsford was pulled over Wednesday because graffiti covered his car's windshield, the New York Post reported, citing White Plains police.

In regard to the messages on his vehicle, the Post — citing a criminal complaint — said Saleh told police he was “trying to educate the public to the true events in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas."

More from the paper:

The hateful messages on his Volkswagen Passat included a Star of David and swastika intertwined and an American flag that had the white Nazi symbol where the 50 stars should be, according to photos from the complaint provided by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

Saleh’s car also had “Hamas resistance is not terrorism” scrolled on it and “New ISIS” next to the American and Israeli flags, additional photos showed.

He also allegedly said "President Biden is a Zionist," the paper reported, adding that Saleh said he was planning to drive to Washington, D.C., to protest the Middle East war.

Saleh also said he’s been stopped at multiple locations in Westchester due to the slogans and symbols on his car and was in contact with the FBI as recently as last week for the same reason, police said in the complaint, according to the Post.

Authorities told the paper the car was impounded because the license plate was allegedly fake, after which a loaded gun was found under the driver’s seat.

Saleh was arrested and charged for possessing a loaded semiautomatic weapon without a permit, authorities added.

The suspect was arraigned Thursday in White Plains City Court on a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, the district attorney’s office told the Post.

Saleh's next court date is set for Nov. 2, the paper said.

Passenger in rapper's vehicle accused of pointing gun at person amid pro-Trump rally in Beverly Hills — and is arrested on weapon charges

A passenger in a rapper's vehicle was arrested Saturday on weapon charges after being accused of pointing a gun at a person amid a rally supporting President Donald Trump in Beverly Hills, California.

What are the details?

Beverly Hills police said they received a report just after 5 p.m. of an individual saying someone in a vehicle pointed a gun at him near South Santa Monica Boulevard and North Beverly Drive — and that he took note of the license plate. A vehicle with a matching plate was stopped after driving past the pro-Trump rally, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The vehicle's driver was rapper Offset, the Times said. Offset is the husband of famed singer Cardi B, known far and wide for the sexually charged song "WAP," which glorifies woman as prostitutes.

Offset recorded part of the interaction with police on Instagram Live.

"You just watched somebody beat my car up with a flag!" Offset tells an officer who repeatedly asks him to shut off the vehicle. But Offset insists on keeping his hands on the steering wheel and threatens to sue cops.

"Y'all know who I am?" he asks police.

Soon officers unlock the driver-side door and pull Offset out. Here's the clip. (Content warning: Language):

What happened next?

Offset was released after questioning, the Times said. But passenger Marcelo Almanzar, 20, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public, police said. Almanzar remained behind bars in lieu of $35,000 bail, the paper said, citing jail records.

There were multiple reports that Offset was arrested, but police denied those accusations.

Almanzar is reportedly a cousin of Cardi B, who also arrived at the scene at one point, the Times said, citing videos posted to social media.

The individual who told police a gun was pointed at him declined to press charges for that, police said.

'Aggressive Trump supporters'

An Offset publicist, Derrian Perry, told the paper in a statement that the rapper was detained "following an attack by aggressive Trump supporters."

BET, citing videos posted to Twitter, said just prior to the police stop, Offset and Cardi B. were seen making their way through a crowd where several people were waving Trump flags.

"Offset thanks his fans for their support and wishes everyone peace and safety during these trying times," the statement added, according to the Times. "He encourages everyone to get out and vote because nothing changes if nothing changes."

The paper also reported that Offset's representatives emphasized he was not the aggressor and that he complied despite having guns drawn on him and receiving conflicting directions from police.

"Offset's current focus is encouraging younger voters to get to the polls in order to keep incidents like this from continuously happening," a representative said, according to the Times.

Police estimated that more than 2,500 people attended the pro-Trump rally.
