Halsey's pro-abortion speech prompts fans to leave her concert. So the singer rips them, and one attendee calls audience departure 'sickening.'

Singer Halsey gave a pro-abortion speech at her Phoenix concert Sunday, and it apparently prompted some attendees to leave the venue, the Los Angeles Times reported.

At least one of the singer's like-minded fans was not happy about the audience departure, calling it "sickening":

\u201cTHE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WHO JUST WALKED OUT OF THE HALSEY CONCERT AFTER NIGHTMARE WHEN SHE SPOKE ABOUT ABORTION WAS SICKENING. FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT. #AbortionRightsAreHumanRights #MYBODYMYCHOICE #halsey @halsey\u201d

Halsey took her own shot at those who departed her show, writing in response to the above fan's tweet, “Downside of doing outdoor venues: no door to hit them on the way out."

Halsey's clap back at those who left her concert has received over 91,000 likes since Monday night.

While one might expect a ton of support for Halsey on her Twitter page, a surprising number of commenters blasted the singer right back for her comment. Here are but a few examples:

  • "I wouldn’t sit and listen to any political speech, Right or Left, when I paid to be entertained," one commenter wrote. "We see/hear enough politics on TV, radio, and the internet. The same reason I stopped watching entertainment awards shows. It’s not entertainment. But you do you."
  • "How dare people be bombarded at work, home, media with activism.. save up some money to see their favorite singer and a break from the daily toil only to show up for more lectures and then decide to walk out?! Stay and listen to the pop singer lecture or you’re a bigot!" another user pointed out.
  • "If Halsey had the unfortunate fate of being 'aborted,' she wouldn’t have had the opportunity to give that speech, or even sing or have a career for that matter," another commenter said.

What did Halsey say at her show?

In one clip, Halsey — stalking the stage from one end of it to the other — told audience members that if they're "sharing statistics on Instagram and infographics and saying ... ‘That’s really f***ed up,’ what you should do instead is you should be sharing stories about how you’ve benefited from abortion somehow."

She added, “The truth is that my heart breaks looking out into this audience, because I see so many people ... who deserve the right to health care that they need. Who deserve the right to choose themselves in a situation where there is a choice.”

Halsey also said "some of the people I’m looking at right now are going to need an abortion one day, and you deserve that. Whether it’s a life-threatening situation, or it’s not, you deserve it. And here in Arizona, you guys gotta promise me that you’re gonna do that work so that the person to the left of you and to the right of you has that right for the rest of their lives.”

She then told detractors in the crowd, "If you don’t like it, you can go home right now. I don’t care," as she motioned such attendees to the exits. "If you don’t like it, I don’t know why you came to a Halsey concert ...” Apparently some of them took her up on her offer.

Anything else?

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on Friday, Halsey tweeted, "I have been advocating for abortion, reproductive rights, and bodily integrity for as long as I’ve had a platform, and I’m running out of ways to word and frame the severity of the impact that fundamentalism has on our country."

She added, "I know some of you look to my page for information or guidance, but I need a little bit of time to speak to some people with more authority and experience than me and gather my thoughts. I don’t want to just contribute to antagonistic noise. I’m just defeated at the moment."

Video: Huge fireball erupts after Russian tank-landing ship explodes; Ukrainian navy says vessel was 'destroyed'

A massive fireball erupted from a Russian Navy amphibious ship while it was docked in the Russian-occupied port of Berdyansk in southern Ukraine on Thursday. The Ukrainian navy asserted the tank-landing ship had been "destroyed."

Video shows a huge explosion and fire on the Project 1171 Alligator-class landing ship Orsk. A thick black plume of smoke billowed from the fiery ship and spread over the harbor.

"There have been claims made that the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on the Orsk, potentially using one of their Tochka (SS-21 Scarab) short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs), but there’s so far no evidence to confirm exactly what led to the inferno on the vessel," the Drive reported.

The Ukrainian navy claimed on Facebook, "In the temporarily captured Russian port Berdyansk, a large paratrooper ship 'Orsk' of the Black Sea Fleet of occupiers was destroyed."

Ukraine’s armed forces celebrated on social media by saying, "The morning starts with good news! The large landing ship 'Orsk' of the Black Sea Fleet of the occupiers was destroyed in the captured Russian port of Berdyansk."

"That’s only the beginning,” a Ukrainian military source told the Times.

The 370-foot ship can transport as many as 425 troops as well as 20 tanks or 40 armored vehicles and is beachable to unload vehicles on land.

Two Project 775 Ropucha-II class landing ships — Tsesar Kunikov and Novocherkassk — had burning debris on their decks, and the fires were quickly extinguished, according to military analyst H.I. Sutton.

"It marks the largest ship that Ukrainian forces have managed to strike so-far and represents another embarrassing loss for Vladimir Putin's beleaguered army," according to the Daily Mail.

A day before the strike, Russian state media was touting the ships supplying reinforcements at the captured port city on the Sea of Azov. The video shows armored personnel carriers being extracted from the Orsk.

"By land, air and now sea, Russian troops continue to advance and reinforce into Ukraine," RT reporter Murad Gazdiev said in the video. "The Azov Sea, with its ports and towns, is now under Russian control...which has allowed Russia's Black Sea fleet to and the Orsk landing ship to stage this operation."

Berdyansk was captured by Russian military forces on Feb. 27. The port city is roughly 50 miles southwest of the besieged city of Mariupol.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday that approximately 100,000 people are enduring "inhumane conditions" in Mariupol.

"For more than a week now, we have been trying to organize stable humanitarian corridors for Mariupol residents. And almost all our attempts, unfortunately, are disrupted by the Russian occupiers. By shelling or deliberate terror," Zelenskyy said during a televised address.

Zelenskyy said the people of Maiupol have "no food, no water, no medicine."

The local council in Mariupol said Russian airstrikes were turning the city into the "ashes of a dead land."

Drone footage released this week by Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs shows the devastation to Mariupol after weeks of heavy shelling by the Russian military. Russian bombardments from artillery, airstrikes, and naval vessels have turned the city into ruins.

Chart-topping singer forced to apologize after sharing a personal post about her eating disorder without adequate 'trigger warning'

Singer Halsey issued a heartfelt apology Monday after sharing a photo of herself dealing with an eating disorder.

Social media users came out in droves and accused the singer — real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane — of insensitivity because she didn't share the post on her personal Instagram page with a "trigger warning" that was considered good enough.

What are the details?

According to a Tuesday report from Insider, social media users took Halsey — who also lives with bipolar disorder — to task over the offending photo, prompting her to issue an apology and delete the post.

The singer and entertainer also announced a temporary social media break to recalibrate after the attack on her judgment.

Insider reported, "The 'Clementine' singer shared an image of herself living with the disorder on Instagram, after a fan asked to see her at her 'lowest point.'"

In response, Halsey shared a mirror selfie with the caption, "TW [trigger warning]: ED [eating disorder], ask for help." In the photo, Halsey is topless — but using her arms to protect her modesty — and looking decidedly thin and frail. You can view the original photo here.

Needless to say, some social media users came out to attack the singer for not paying mind to crafting a more comprehensive "trigger warning" so as to avoid offending or hurting the feelings of those social media users in question. You can read some of the backlash here.

Following the outcry over the photo, Halsey tweeted, "TW: disordered eating[.] I am very sorry for posting a photo of myself depicting my struggle with ED without a sufficient trigger warning. I was very nervous to post it and didn't think properly. I had positive intentions. I would never want to harm someone who shares my struggle."

In a subsequent tweet, the artist said she was going to "log off" to deal with the backlash.

"[W]ith that being said," she added, "Im [sic] gonna log off now because this has turned into something I am not emotionally equipped to handle for the time being. I hope that's okay."

Anything else?

This isn't the first time that the entertainer has been candid about her personal life and she said that she's been "committed" at least twice since entering the spotlight.

In 2019, she told Rolling Stone that she manages as best as she is able on a daily basis.

"I've been committed twice since [I became] Halsey, and no one's known about it," she said. "But I'm not ashamed of talking about it now."

"It's been my choice [to seek help]," she continues. "I've said to [my manager], 'Hey, I'm not going to do anything bad right now, but I'm getting to the point where I'm scared that I might, so I need to go figure this out.' It's still happening in my body. I just know when to get in front of it."
