Biden admin 'abandoned the people of Hawaii' after Maui fires, Joe Rogan shocked

As Ukraine rakes in billions from the American government, Maui fire victims are still displaced.

Lucky for them, last year they received a $700 one-time payment from the government to help them get back on their feet. Joe Rogan equates the $700 one-time payment to 700 cups of Ramen noodles.

“Who said yes to that? Who allowed that?” Rogan asked Tulsi Gabbard, adding, “At the same time releasing this number where they accidentally had sent Ukraine $6 billion.”

“Yeah, they said, ‘Oh well, we lost track of this $6 billion and so now that we’ve found it because of some accounting error now we can go and send it to Ukraine,'” Gabbard says.

“I remember specifically when the fires had just happened. The White House brought in the director of FEMA to talk to the White House Press Corps and someone asked the question, ‘What are you, FEMA, what are you actually doing for the people who’ve been impacted by this tragedy?’”

“The director stood there with a straight face and proudly said, ‘Well, we have provided a one-time payment of $700 to everyone who has been impacted by this fire or displaced by this fire,’ and that was her big announcement,” Gabbard explains.

“So, we have completely abandoned those people in Hawaii,” Dave Rubin comments, disturbed.

7 HOPEFUL and HORRIFYING stories from Maui wildfire recovery

The wildfire in Maui was nothing short of tragic, and rescue and recovery efforts are still underway. While 300 names of the missing have been released to the public, there are still 1,100 people unaccounted for.

Many Americans, including Glenn Beck, have questions.

“I don’t mean to be callous on this, but it’s not that big of an island. It’s not like somebody, you know, is wandering off and is lost or whatever,” Glenn says.

To answer some of his questions, Glenn sits down to speak with one of the men on the ground in Maui: Mercury One Executive Director J.P. Decker.

Glenn asks Decker, who has been in Maui for almost five days, why officials are holding back the other 1,100 names.

“That is one thing that every single local is confused on that we’ve spoken with,” Decker says, adding, “I’ve spoken with a lot of people, and they said, ‘We don’t trust anyone. We do not trust what’s coming out of the government. We don’t trust what’s coming out of, not just the state of Hawaii, but the county and then also our federal government.’”

While the locals have been offered little solace by the government, there are some stories of hope Decker can tell.

One surfer who is famous on the island has been getting surfboards and fishing equipment for the locals, especially the kids who lost everything, including their surfboards as well as their mental health.

Decker explains these kids have seen too much. “Seeing people burning in cars and seeing their family members in their homes. This is the only thing that’s going to bring this community back to what we know and we love.”

The surfer plans to take the surfboards to the kids and the fishing supplies to the local fisherman who lost “literally everything.”

Decker tells Glenn that the people who are working to keep their community strong in the face of tragedy are “the definition of ohana, which means family. And that is community.”

Maui resident explains how 'everybody' in Hawaii feels about Joe Biden right now

We all know at this point that Maui has suffered unspeakable tragedy as hundreds upon hundreds of acres were torched to the ground.

Well, minus the mansions that belonged to billionaires and celebrities. Their properties are fine.

But a huge portion of Lahaina residents have had to cope with the loss of their homes as well as friends and family who perished in the fires.

The whole ordeal has been fishy from start to finish. It’s no wonder then that people across the nation are demanding answers. However, nobody feels the need for answers more keenly than the people directly impacted by the catastrophe.

Pat Gray plays a clip of one Maui citizen who was asked to recount her experience.

“Still today, I haven’t had any money come in. I haven’t had anybody call me back. ... I have no idea,” she laments. “I lost my house, I lost my car, I lost my animals,” and “I still cannot get my meds” because “my medicine was all burnt in my house.”

“I think Joe Biden should take his $700 and get back on the f****** plane and go home,” she rants.

“$700 compared to all the millions he’s giving to Ukraine. Why? We need it! ... We’re citizens, and we cannot get money,” she tells the interviewer. “Fix your house before you fix somebody else’s house.”

And when asked whether other Hawaiians and locals share her feelings, she said, “Everybody feels that way.”

Who can blame her anger when the average Ukrainian family receives $3,100 from the United States?

“That's like direct assistance from your paycheck to a Ukrainian household,” adds Keith Malinek.

Was Maui’s DEADLY wildfire a GOVERNMENT or CLIMATE disaster?

The devastating wildfires in Maui are now confirmed to have left at least 111 people, including children, dead. Authorities expect there to be more, with most of the burn zone still left to search.

This is undoubtedly a tragedy, but the White House and corporate media have wasted no time telling Americans that the wildfires were caused by — you guessed it — climate change.

According to them, the solution is to give the government even more power over the American people.

Glenn Beck isn’t buying it and reads an article from the Mises Institute that he thinks spells the real story out perfectly.

“The most destructive natural disasters are never 100% natural,” the article begins. “Human choices, land use, and government policies play a big role in how harmful hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, flash floods and wildfires are to affect communities.”

“It has become clear that government failure did much to make this disaster worse and possibly even started it while the so-called experts are blaming climate change and in the process demanding that government grab even more power and authority,” Beck continues.

And while the government is acting surprised, its leaders were warned of this impending disaster.

Nearly a decade ago, the Hawaii Wildlife Management Organization warned the government that the area around Lahaina — a city that sits on the west coast of Maui — was extremely fire prone due to frequent downslope winds, steep terrain, and dry grass.

The government did next to nothing.

Another report in 2020 claimed an invasive species of flammable grass was all over surrounding fields and that strong winds could fuel fires on the islands.

The flames were then first spotted near an area full of electrical infrastructure that is mainly operated by Hawaiian Electric.

When the flames reached the Lahaina Bypass, residents had been told to conserve water to preserve water pressure. Electricity had mostly been turned off.

“The flames moved swiftly into Lahaina at 4:46 pm. One minute after the county government finally sent out an alert to warn the city’s population, largely without power, about the flare-up that had occurred over an hour before,” Glenn reads.

“Once fire broke out, a combination of defective water infrastructure, terrible communication by government officials, and only one escape route doomed the people of Lahaina to the worst wildfire experience in this country in over a hundred years.”
