Hillary Clinton responds to Trump indictment news by advertising 'BUT HER EMAILS' hats

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responded to the news of an indictment against former President Donald Trump by advertising "BUT HER EMAILS" hats.

"Bringing this back in light of recent news: Get a limited-edition But Her Emails hat and support @onwardtogether groups working to strengthen our democracy," Clinton, who lost the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump, tweeted.

By supporting groups that are mobilizing voters, safeguarding voting rights, and recruiting candidates for office, we are committed to help build a fairer, more inclusive America for generations to come."

Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina responded to Clinton's post by tweeting, "Gloating that there is a different standard of justice and that you are above the law, is next level bulls***."

"Yes, we do see the double standard, thanks so much for the reminder!" Ben Shapiro wrote.

"Hillary Clinton gloats about getting away with taking, hiding and destroying classified information," Richard Grenell tweeted.

Business mogul Elon Musk has said that it appears the justice system is more interested in targeting Trump than other political figures.

"There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics. Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust," Musk wrote.

Trump has said that he is innocent and that he has been summoned to appear at a federal courthouse on Tuesday.

Special counsel Jack Smith said during remarks on Friday that an indictment unsealed on Friday charges "Trump with felony violations of our national security laws" and "participating in a conspiracy to obstruct justice."

LGBT 'state of emergency' declared by nation's largest gay advocacy group due to Gov. DeSantis' 'dangerous policies' of 'bigotry' and 'hate'

The largest "LGBTQ Advocacy Group" in the United States partnered with a similar group in Florida to issue a travel advisory for the state, declaring that "LGBTQ+ people" are in a daily "state of emergency due" to Governor Ron DeSantis and his policies.

Equality Florida announced its partnership with the Human Rights Campaign, an umbrella company for both a nonprofit organization and a political action committee, and declared Florida to have the "most anti-LGBTQ legislative session in history."

The announcement specified that it is not a "blanket recommendation against travel nor a call for boycott," but rather a "travel advisory" that warns different LGBT groups about the state's "devastating impacts" caused by laws "that are hostile to the LGBTQ community."

Among these laws, according to the announcement, are Florida's stances on abortion, guns, public education, and "banning books and censoring curriculum." The advisory insists that the warnings are for families to make the "best decisions for themselves."

“Because of Ron DeSantis and his frenzied appeal to extremists, LGBTQ+ people in Florida are finding themselves in a state of emergency every single day," said Kelley Robinson, president of the Human Rights Campaign. "Since the day he took office, Governor DeSantis has weaponized his position to weave bigotry, hate, and discrimination into public law for his own political gain," the activist continued.

Nadine Smith, Equality Florida's executive director, called Governor DeSantis' policies "right-wing extremism."

“Governor Ron DeSantis has inflicted deep and lasting damage upon our state, eroding the fundamental rights of our residents and visitors while exploiting the word ‘free’ as a hollow campaign slogan," she stated.

The advocacy groups followed a recent trend of travel advisories, similar to that of the NAACP, which declared that the state is not friendly to black people. That board of directors claimed Florida has made "aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools."

As well, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton even warned that DeSantis' "ultra-MAGA Florida isn't safe for people of color, LGBTQ+ people, or even multi-billion dollar corporations."

The Human Rights Campaign president urged readers to work and take vacations outside Florida and for those individuals to "make clear why they're not heading" to the "Sunshine State."

The groups also encouraged Floridians to purchase goods from businesses that have "implemented LGBTQ inclusive nondiscrimination in their policies."

Hillary: 'Ultra-MAGA' Florida 'isn't safe for people of color, LGBTQ+,' or even Disney

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared on her Twitter account that Florida is not safe for "people of color" nor "LGBTQ+" people under Governor Ron DeSantis.

Clinton also took a moment to call the state "Ultra-MAGA" and attached news clippings about Disney and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People that were critical of Florida.

The first headline, "Civil rights groups warn tourists about traveling to Florida," is in reference to an Associated Press article that cited the NAACP's declaration that Florida is unsafe for black people.

The NAACP board of directors claimed the advisory is necessary to combat Florida's "aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools."

"Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color," the advisory stated.

Clinton's remarks also referenced Disney canceling plans to build a new office complex Florida, which would have created a significant number of jobs.

"It is clear to me that the power of this brand comes from our incredible people, and we are committed to handling this change with care and compassion,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney’s parks, experiences, and products division.

The change in Disney's plans sparked comment toward DeSantis from critics such as California Governor Gavin Newsom, who said that it "turns out, bigoted policies have consequences. That's 2,000+ jobs that will be welcomed back with open arms to the Golden State. Thank you for doing the right thing, Disney."

Clinton has been using her Twitter account to criticize Republican policy ahead of the 2024 election, saying on May 23, 2023, that "Eighty-six percent of transgender and nonbinary young people have said the recent raft of anti-trans bills have negatively affected their mental health."

Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his candidacy for president alongside Elon Musk on Twitter.
