See it: Interior Sec. Deb Haaland shares video featuring drag queen Pattie Gonia
Interior Sec. Deb Haaland, a member of President Joe Biden's cabinet, appeared in a video with drag queen Pattie Gonia, a self-described "professional homosexual" and "queer environmentalist."
In the video Haaland declared that she was "so excited" to be with Gonia at the Stonewall National Monument.
"To celebrate LGBT History Month, I joined outdoor advocate and climate movement icon @pattiegonia to discuss how places like @StonewallNPS help tell our country’s full and honest story," the text of Haaland's post on X declares.
"Is this a joke? The pathetic parody of women continues," tennis icon Martina Navratilova wrote in response to the government official's post.

"This is why the world laughs at the United States now. This is what an actual cabinet secretary is tweeting. We live in clown world," Katrina Pierson opined.
Gonia has previously partnered with the National Audubon Society, appearing in a video while clad in a winged costume.
"This #PrideMonth, Audubon partnered with drag queen and intersectional environmentalist Pattie Gonia to bring you #BirdsTellUs: The Song of the Meadowlark, a message of hope for the future of our planet as we face climate change—if we choose to listen," Audubon tweeted last year.
The drag queen has also helped promote The North Face.
"For the second year in a row...@thenorthface has teamed up with... @pattiegonia (they/she)," an Instagram post declares. "Join us for the Summer of Pride and get in on this party."
"Hi, it's me Pattie Gonia, a real-life homosexual," the drag queen said in a video.
