Donald Trump Jr.’s Latest MSNBC Face-Off Proves Republicans Can’t Hate Corporate Media Enough
The staggering number of Americans who have lost faith in media to accurately report news are right to distrust the propaganda press.
An NBC News reporter frustrated California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) for questioning his threat to pursue criminal charges against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
After Florida sent planes of migrants to California — a sanctuary state — Newsom floated bringing kidnapping charges against DeSantis.
There is no evidence, however, that Florida kidnapped the migrants. On the contrary, the migrants were videotaped signing consent forms in which they agreed to be sent to California. California officials have not produced evidence to back their claims that DeSantis is guilty of "state-sanctioned kidnapping."
So how serious is Newsom? NBC News reporter Jacob Soboroff extracted that answer — but Newsom was not happy about it.
"Ron DeSantis is going to be landing in this city later this month to hold a fundraiser for his presidential campaign. Should he be worried that law enforcement officials in this state are going to arrest him when he walks off the plane?" Soboroff confronted in an interview that released on Wednesday.
Newsom, clearly frustrated with the question, shot back, "Now we're getting to hyperbole."
"Well, just respectfully, I mean, I don't think it's hyperbole. You're the one raising the issue of criminality potentially," Soboroff fired back.
"Potentially. Yeah. And we have to do the investigation," Newsom responded. "This is California, [the] fourth or fifth largest economy on planet Earth. We mean business. ... And we're not backing away from getting the facts and holding those accountable if they broke the laws of the state of California."

DeSantis responded to criticism about the migrant flights on Wednesday while making a stop in Arizona.
"These sanctuary jurisdictions are part of the reason we have this problem because they have endorsed and agitated for these types off open border policies," he said. "They have bragged they are sanctuary jurisdictions. They attack the previous admin efforts to try to have border security.
"When they have to deal with some of the fruits of that they all of a sudden become very, very upset about that," he pointed out.
