EXPLOSIVE new details in Hunter Biden case; could he be a CIA asset?

Damning new details in Hunter Biden’s case have emerged, one of which Sara Gonzales calls “very explosive.”

According to whistleblower Gary Shapley, the CIA blocked federal investigators from interviewing Hunter Biden’s "sugar brother" Hollywood lawyer Kevin Morris during the five-year tax probe into Hunter’s tax crimes.

The House Oversight Committee and Judiciary Committee chairman were informed by the whistleblower that the intelligence agency stopped IRS and Justice Department investigators from interviewing Morris in August 2021.

The whistleblower also claimed that two DOJ officials were “summoned to discuss Kevin Morris” to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, for their investigation into Hunter Biden.

“They were provided a classified briefing in relation to Morris, and, as a result, we could no longer pursue him as a witness,” Gonzales reads. “What it said,” she adds, shocked.

Apparently, it was unclear how the CIA became aware that Morris was a potential witness and why agents were not told about the meeting in advance or invited to participate in it — which is a “deviation of normal investigative processes.”

“You know what else is a deviation of normal investigative processes? For the CIA to be involved in a domestic tax fraud investigation,” Gonzales says. “I don’t think the CIA is supposed to be involved in these sorts of domestic matters.”

“So, why in the hell is the CIA breaking the law seemingly to intervene in a domestic investigation? Who is the CIA asset? It’s got to be one of them, right? It’s got to be either Hunter Biden or his buddy Kevin Morris,” she says, adding, “It’s making more sense as to why Hunter was involved in so many foreign companies, why he was involved in Burisma, why he was involved in CEFC.”

“So, I think America needs to know: Is Joe Biden’s son a CIA asset?”

Left-wing lawyer who joked about Barron Trump at first impeachment trial will join Biden administration

A left-wing attorney who joked about Barron Trump at the first impeachment trial of his father, former President Donald Trump, will join President Joe Biden's administration in the Department of Justice, the Washington Examiner reported.

What are the details?

Pamela Karlan was tapped as principal deputy assistant attorney general in the Civil Division, the paper said, adding that she previously was a Stanford University law professor — and most recently was on Facebook's Oversight Board.

Karlan said in a statement that working with the social media giant's oversight board "to build a fairer and more effective approach to content moderation has been an honor," Politico reported.

She went on leave from her Facebook Oversight Board position to volunteer for Biden's transition team, Politico said, citing board spokesman John Taylor, adding that Karlan also wasn't part of cases the group has already ruled on — or its new case concerning Trump's suspension.

Politico characterized Karlan as a "renowned legal scholar with expertise in voting rights." According to Campus Reform, the New York Times in 2019 described her as a "legal leader committed to progressive causes" and "a favorite of the left." Karlan also confirmed that she donated $1,000 to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), $1,200 to former President Barack Obama, and $2,000 to Hillary Clinton, the Hill reported.

"Pam Karlan's legal and civil rights expertise played an important part in shaping the Board, and we're grateful for her contributions," Taylor added, according to multiple outlets. "The Trustees and Board members congratulate Pam on her new role and wish her the very best."

What did Karlan say about Barron Trump?

Karlan caught flak after joking about Barron Trump — who was only 13 at the time — during her 2019 testimony at Donald Trump's first impeachment trial:

"I'll just give you one example that shows you the difference between [Donald Trump] and a king," Karlan said on the microphone. "Which is, the Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility. So while the president can name his son Barron, he can't make him a baron."

And there was much laughter — literally.

What was the fallout?

Then-first lady Melania Trump called out Karlan on Twitter for her misstep: "A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics. Pamela Karlan, you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it."

So did then-Trump campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany: "Only in the minds of crazed liberals is it funny to drag a 13-year-old child into the impeachment nonsense," she said in a statement, according to the New York Post. "Pamela Karlan thought she was being clever and going for laughs, but she instead reinforced for all Americans that Democrats have no boundaries when it comes to their hatred of everything related to President Trump."

There was an apology — kinda

Karlan soon issued a mea culpa, the Examiner said, although it seemed a bit backhanded: "I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the president's son. It was wrong of me to do that. I wish the president would apologize, obviously, for the things that he's done that's wrong, but I do regret having said that."

Anything else?

As you might guess, attacks on Barron Trump are nothing new for the left:

  • Shortly after Donald Trump's 2016 election victory, Trump-hating celeb Rosie O'Donnell was criticized after tweeting, "Barron Trump Autistic? If so — what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic." O'Donnell claimed it wasn't a slight against Barron.
  • Amid the border crisis, actor Peter Fonda wrote in a since deleted 2018 tweet that "we should rip Barron Trump from his mother's arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles and see if mother will stand up against the giant a**hole she is married to." Fonda later apologized.
  • Ohio Democrats in 2019 used the Special Olympics to mock Barron, with one saying he may "need" the organization one day.
  • Last year, Trump-hating actor Michael Rapaport said he wanted "little f***ing Barron" exposed to the coronavirus. (He got his wish months later.)
  • On Father's Day 2020, Food Network host John Henson noted in a since-deleted tweet: "I hope Barron gets to spend today with whoever his dad is." Mika Brzezinski appeared to suggest something similar during a 2019 episode of MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

'The View' — surprise, surprise — vigorously defends Biden White House's desire to get reporters' questions in advance

It will come as no surprise that nearly all the co-hosts of "The View" vigorously defended the jaw-dropping recent request from President Joe Biden's communication team to get reporters' questions in advance of daily press briefings.

What are the details?

It seemed like a big joke to co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who chuckled several times as she opened the discussion on Wednesday's show and bristled that journalists were "raising red flags about the [chuckle] Biden administration's promise of total transparency." She then asked, "Does it occur to anybody they've been in probably for three weeks, and they might not [laughs] ... have all the answers yet? Call me crazy."

Co-host Joy Behar naturally concluded the concern from the media is bogus: "First of all, let's talk about whether they're actual, specific questions or areas of discussion, and, you know, this type of press conference is not supposed to be gotcha questions; they're supposed to be informative, information questions and answers — and so it behooves the administration to be prepared to give the correct information."

Behar added that White House press secretary Jen Psaki "can't know everything, you know?" and that "the reporters are quite aware of when someone is spinning and when they're not, and that they would call her out on that, and this administration is very well prepared to say the truth, whereas the last one would just lie and spin and whatever. But you know ... I just think that it's not a gotcha session. That's what has to be understood."

Co-host Sara Haines also said the Biden White House's request for questions in advance wasn't a concern, emphasizing that it would be "if there was some kind of consequential outcome" for reporters who don't provide advance questions. She added that "this happens in every administration, and it's just part of the game."

While co-host Sunny Hostin said she didn't like the request for questions in advance, she managed to go on a lengthy breakdown about why it's actually no big deal since President Donald Trump is finally out of office.

"Let's face it. I mean, this is a world of difference from what we were dealing with before," she said. "The last administration was not transparent. It was opaque at the very best. … We're coming from the Mooch [Anthony Scaramucci], Sarah Huckabee [Sanders], and Kayleigh McEnany! The liar-in-chief ... press secretary! So we're in a whole new world, and so, you know, if the Biden administration has given us — ."

Hostin wasn't quite able to finish her thought and just settled for, "I think it's just a breath of fresh air, so the fact that they're asking for topic areas or even questions, I still think we're in a much better place in terms of transparency. And isn't that what we want ... from our government?"

But Meghan McCain isn't having it

As you might expect, co-host Meghan McCain differed from the rest of the panel.

"I'm a Republican," she began, noting that the idea of the White House asking reporters for questions in advance is "highly un-kosher" and "highly unorthodox."

"Maybe we are all living in different worlds," McCain continued, "but I have worked on campaigns, I've been around many politicians, I've helped politicians — [but] I've never once been in a situation where I said, 'Hey, you as a journalist, can you give me this question for the principal in advance?' That's not how it works."

She then addressed the elephant in the room: "A big part of the problem is that we live in two different worlds of media: We live in the liberal media and the conservative media, and it is known ... most journalists are liberal, most journalists are Democrats, most journalists have a liberal bias. It's just the facts."

McCain added that there's journalism school data to back up her points.

Finally, she issued a warning: "If Jen Psaki and people in the Biden administration want to act like this is just gonna be a free for all forever because 'we're all finally done with the Trump administration,' and there's gonna be a different set of standards ... it's gonna end very badly."
