Coppola’s Vibes-Based ‘Megalopolis’ Is The Movie Version Of Kamala Harris
The film’s message is almost the literal embodiment of Kamala Harris’s much-mocked sentiment of 'what can be unburdened by what has been.'
Actor Jon Voight expressed his displeasure with his daughter, actress Angelina Jolie, after she made a social media post calling Israel's actions against Hamas "crimes" that are punishing and dehumanizing "children, women," and "families."
The 84-year-old native of Yonkers, New York, took to his X account in a video and said he was disappointed in Jolie, along with others who haven't stopped to question the motives behind information they receive.
“I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God's honor, God's truths," Voight began.
“This is about destroying the history of God's land, the holy land, the land of the Jews. This is justice for God's children of the holy land, Israel," he continued.
“The Israeli army must protect thy soil, thy people. This is war. It's not going to be what the left thinks. It can't be civil. Now, Israel was attacked by inhuman terror on innocent babies, mothers, fathers, grandparents, and you fools calling Israel the problem, you should look at yourselves and ask 'who am I?' 'what am I?' and ask God 'am I learning the truths or am I being lied to and following everyone else?'" the actor continued.
Voight further explained that he feels the plight of Gaza isn't quite what has been portrayed, referring to Hamas as "animals" who want to fulfill their "rage."
"These animals want to wipe out Jews, Christians ... the Palestinians have not been neglected in finance, they've been given huge infusions in money that they didn't share with their people. They made weapons instead for their rage."
Truth and lies— (@)
The video was in response to an Instagram post by Jolie a couple days before, which criticized Israel for the "deliberate bombing" of a "trapped population."
"This is the deliberate bombing of a trapped population who have nowhere to flee," Jolie wrote, alongside widely circulated photos of what appeared to be bomb craters in Gaza.
"Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave. 40% of those killed are innocent children. Whole families are being murdered," she claimed. "While the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian civilians - children, women, families - are being collectively punished and dehumanized, all while being deprived food, medicine and humanitarian aid against international law."
"By refusing to demand a humanitarian ceasefire and blocking the UN Security Council from imposing one on both parties, world leaders are complicit in these crimes," Jolie added.
A second image shared by the actress simply included the text that the "Jabalia refugee camp is the largest of the Gaza Strip's eight refugee camps. After the 1948 War, refugees settled in the camp, most having fled from villages in southern Palestine."
"The camp covers an area of only 1.4 square kilometers," the text continued. "116,011 Palestine Refugees are registered with [The United Nations Relief and Works Agency] in Jabalia camp alone, 75 years since the 1948 conflict (UNRWA)."

Actor Jon Voight, who does not shy away from publicly making political statements, is calling for President Joe Biden to be impeached.
"Our police force must act on righteousness and guard our neighborhoods, our businesses, our children, our elderly, our veterans, and our handicapped. We must protect this nation and bring back safety. We're all feeling very unsafe. We're all angry," Voight declared in the video.
The actor said that Biden "has wronged this nation's glory" and "taken down our morals."
"He must be impeached. We cannot wait another second having him dictate our path," Voight said.

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia said that she shared Voight's view: "@jonvoight is correct and is saying how most people feel. I'm in complete agreement and I've introduced 4 articles of impeachment of Joe Biden," the lawmaker tweeted.
The U.S. Constitution lays out the grounds on which a president should be impeached: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
If Biden ever were removed from office, Vice President Kamala Harris would become the nation's new commander-in-chief. "In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President," the 25th Amendment states.
A recent Harvard CAPS—Harris Poll of registered voters found that a whopping 71% do not believe Biden should pursue a second term. Similarly, 61% do not think that former President Donald Trump should run in 2024.
President Biden, who has been underwater on his job approval numbers for quite some time, is the nation's oldest president ever, and would be 86 by the end of a second term in office. He has previously said that he intends to seek reelection in 2024 as long as he has "good health."
NBA legend-turned-cultural commentator Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said social media companies aren't doing enough to silence "irrational and harmful" posts from conservative celebrities — and even from fellow left-wing luminaries who don't check every woke box.
In his column for the Hollywood Reporter this week, Abdul-Jabbar said that "no matter their previous achievements, celebrities deserve legacy-killing backlash when they spread ignorance."
He first pointed his finger at Rudy Giuliani — the personal lawyer of President Donald Trump — saying that his legacy of "calm authority" in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City has been overshadowed by his Trump alliance and last month's "cringeworthy news conference about unproven conspiracies while black streaks streamed from his hair." Abdul-Jabbar also ripped Giuliani for being on a "hidden camera in the latest Borat movie with his hand down his pants while lying on a bed in the presence of a teenage girl." (Giuliani insists he was tucking in his shirt.)
Problem for Abdul-Jabbar is that the female in question is a woman, and Giuliani said "at no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar."
Abdul-Jabbar then turned his attention to conservative actors, saying "Roseanne Barr had achieved the near impossible, sabotaging her career not once but twice. After she left her top-rated sitcom, she faded into irrelevance with out-of-left-field political musings. Seeking to connect to the Trump demographic, ABC gave Roseanne new life, but her character was killed off after she went on a racist rant. James Woods, winner of a Golden Globe and Emmy, was once considered a dynamic actor. Now, after his caustic social commentary tweets, he's viewed as the cranky geezer who won't let you get your ball from his yard. Jon Voight, once a shining star among actors, recently posted a rambling video calling the political left "Satan" and promoting conspiracies about the election, reducing him from brilliant Oscar winner to cultural dumpster diver."
Abdul-Jabbar also found fault with Christian actress Letitia Wright, who starred in "Black Panther," because she "posted a link to a YouTube video questioning the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccines in general. After a tsunami of social media backlash, she wrote: 'My intention was not to hurt anyone. My ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else.'" But Abdul-Jabbar said "at best, that's naive, and at worst, disingenuous. If someone wants to raise concerns — that's legitimate — they need to do basic research: Find facts, statistics and qualified authorities. Because the reality is that when she posts, readers believe she endorses the false conclusions — and that can't be undone."
The former NBA great pointed out that famed author J.K. Rowling, a left-winger by just about every measure, took a "stumble from grace" due to her "anti-trans tweets" which "could end up tainting her entire literary legacy." But Rowling doesn't appear to be backing down an inch, most recently declaring that the "climate of fear" around the trans debate needs to end.
"Many are afraid to speak up because they fear for their jobs and even for their personal safety," Rowling said in an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine. "This climate of fear serves nobody well, least of all trans people."
He also ripped John Cleese's "tone-deaf defense of Rowling," saying it "left many fans bitterly disappointed, tarnishing his reputation." But like Rowling, the former Monty Python legend doesn't seem to care about what others think — and unabashedly thinks for himself.
In fact, Cleese accused the rage mob of "wokery, humorless posturing, and moral self-promotion."
"If you can't control your own emotions, you're forced to control other people's behavior," Cleese said of Twitter users who've attacked Rowling and demanded that she shut up. "That's why the touchiest, most oversensitive and easily upset must not set the standard for the rest of us."
Concluding his piece, Abdul-Jabbar said social media giants "have begun slapping warnings on some messages that are false, incite violence, or cause harm to society. But this needs to be done with more consistency and vigilance. Studies indicate that when readers see these warnings, they are less likely to read or believe things. However, as another study showed, there can be a backfire effect in which content that isn't flagged, even when inaccurate, is perceived as true."
He added: "The irresponsibility of tweeting irrational and harmful opinions to millions, regardless of the damaging consequences to their country or people's lives, proves that those stars deserve the harsh backlash."
Actor Jon Voight — an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump — says that the country is headed into a dangerous situation if former Vice President Joe Biden is inaugurated as president in January 2021.
In a now-viral video, Voight, 81, can be seen making the remarks while sitting in front of an American flag backdrop. He warns that the country is in a "great danger if we fall under a Biden administration."
"We're heading down a street that has no name now. We must not allow our nation to crumble," he explains.
"Let me warn you all that we are in great danger if we fall under a Biden administration."
The award-winning actor explains that Democrats and leftists are responsible for "burning and destroying our cities."
"I ask all to fight this battle now to get them all out," he says. "I have been attacked by my fellow peers saying I am preaching violence, when the truth is they all are. The left are burning and destroying our cities."
"We are willing to fight for freedom, not freedom to burn down our flag, but to raise her up with the glory of this land of the free," he adds.
"Let the truth show itself that President Trump is the only man that can save this nation," he says.
Voight, who lives in California, also took aim at Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) during the video.
"Our state, California, is being ruled by a leftist mob," he says. "Governor Newsom is taking away our freedom, your freedom. He is a disgrace to mankind — he and his relative, Nancy Pelosi, who has tried to bring President Trump down. ... He is a lie like all the left that are trying to destroy the U.S.A. I ask all to fight this battle now to get them all out."
Voight urged his fans and social media followers to join him in praying "in the name of Jesus, Moses, and all saints for their hands of safety to be on us now."
Voight captioned the video "America" and tagged President Donald Trump in the post.
At the time of this reporting, the video has received more than 64,000 likes and has been retweeted more than 21,000 times.
