'The View' hosts get ruthlessly mocked for threatening 'sex strike' to oppose overturning of Roe v. Wade: 'The less of these folks we have reproducing, the better'

"The View" host Joy Behar called on women to go on a sex strike to protest against a possible overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court. The proposed act of defiance in support of abortion was widely panned on social media based on ruthless Twitter reactions.

"Women in the world have conducted sex strikes in history," Behar said during Wednesday's episode of "The View." "In 2003, a sex strike helped to end Liberia's brutal civil war, and the woman who started it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In 2009, Kenyan women enforced a sex ban until police political infighting ceased. Within one week, there was a stable government."

The audience applauded, and then the 79-year-old Behar stated, "We have more power than we think we do, and some of it could be in the bedroom. Just saying."

"The View" co-host Sara Haines chimed in, “And what a perfect weapon and method for the topic we're talking about."

Whoopi Goldberg added, "The other thing to remember is that this is not just about abortion, it covers so many things that you're not thinking about that wouldn't cross your mind because you think, 'Well, I thought that was the law.'"

Goldberg seemed to float a conspiracy theory that the 19th Amendment – which granted women the right to vote – is now threatened because Roe v. Wade could be potentially overturned.

"If you can get 50 years of law and toss it, you can toss away our right to vote," Goldberg hypothesized.

Goldberg also warned, "Men, this is going to come after you in some weird way too."

The idea of abstinence by the liberal hosts of "The View" was lampooned on Twitter – where numerous reactions were mocking the prospects of a sex strike in the name of abortion.

Donald Trump Jr. quipped, "I don’t think the ladies of the view participating in a ‘sex strike’ is going to have the effect that they intended. Just saying."

T.J. Moe – former NFL receiver and contributor to the "Fearless with Jason Whitlock" podcast on BlazeTV – remarked, "If the women on 'The View' go on a sex strike, but there is no one trying to have sex with them… did the sex strike actually happen?…If a tree falls in the woods…"

Radio host Erick Erickson explained, "You know, if y'all do go on a sex strike, you won't have to worry about abortions."

Republican congressional candidate Vernon Jones mocked, "Just heard news that feminists are planning a nationwide sex strike in response to the possible overturn of Roe v. Wade. The less of these folks we have reproducing, the better so THANK YOU."

Columnist Tim Young tweeted, "The hosts of 'The View' proposed a sex strike for abortion rights... They do realize that someone would actually want to have sex with them in order for them to 'go on strike' from doing it, right?"

Conservative commentator Jessica Taylor noted, "I never thought I’d see the day when the left would be arguing for abstinence."

Author Chad Felix Greene pointed out, "Feminists: 'STOP OBJECTIFYING WOMEN!!' Also Feminists: 'NO ABORTION NO SEX!! WE'RE ON A SEX STRIKE TO PUNISH MEN!!'"

Turning Point ambassador Isabella Riley wrote on Twitter, "I love when women say they are going on a 'sex strike' as a response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe... No one sexualizes women more than women themselves. I wonder why people don't take women seriously!"

Radio host Jimmy Failla jested, "Joy Behar says she’s going on a sex strike. And here I was thinking she wanted to punish men."

Comedian Kurt Metzger joked, "I’m just saying a Joy Behar sex strike is an odd threat. I'm always DRESSING her with my eyes! I imagine she's in a suit of armor under a full spacesuit."

In September 2021, Bette Midler called for a sex strike in retaliation to the Fetal Heartbeat Act being passed in Texas. For Midler, the threat was not taken seriously by many, and she was ridiculed.

In May 2019, activist Alyssa Milano proposed that women should withhold sexual activities from men in an act of rebellion against a pro-life bill in Georgia. Milano's proposal backfired epically as conservatives encouraged her to engage in a sex strike, and some progressives were upset with the messaging from the actress that was deemed to be not representative of feminism.

Joy Behar shredded for jaw-dropping complaints that Ukraine invasion might interfere with her swanky European vacation plans

Joy Behar, co-host on "The View," is facing heavy backlash after selfishly complaining that the Ukraine-Russia crisis could derail her plans for a European vacation.

What are the details?

Behar on Thursday — the very day Russian forces invaded Ukraine — expressed her concerns that the ongoing conflict might affect her plans to visit Italy for a lavish vacation.

The panel began by discussing the escalating war during the broadcast, prompting co-host Sunny Hostin to express her fears for those Ukrainians who might end up injured or dead due to the ongoing conflict.

"What I also thought about was the fact that estimates are 50,000 Ukrainians will be dead or wounded and that this is going to start a humanitarian crisis, a refugee crisis in Europe," she explained. "We’re talking about 5 million people that are going to be displaced. It’s heartbreaking to hear what is going to happen."

Even co-host Whoopi Goldberg added that the conflict was "so disheartening."

"The people in Russia, they don't want this war," she added. "[Putin] wants it because he's trying to hold on."

Behar, however, appeared to care little for human suffering, casualties, and displacement and said that she was concerned that her trip to Italy might be derailed.

"Well, I'm scared of what's going to happen in Western Europe, too. You know, you plan a trip, you want to go there," she attempted to reason. "[I wanted] to go to Italy for four years. I haven't been able to make it because of the pandemic — and now this. It's like, what's going to happen there, too?"

What was the reaction?

Much of social media condemned Behar's remarks.

Leading the criticism was Barstool Sports writer Kevin Clancy, who castigated Behar for her apparent selfishness.

"The true horror of the worldwide pandemic and Russia invading Ukraine? Joy Behar hasn't been able to take her trip to Italy," Clancy wrote on Twitter. "Thoughts and Prayers for Joy. We hope she makes it through this tragedy."

New York Post and Fox News writer Karol Markowicz added, "Did Putin even stop to think how his invasion would affect Joy Behar's trip to Italy?"

Washington Times columnist Tim Young spat, "Joy Behar is elitist trash."

He later added, "Joy Behar is the perfect liberal Karen... she doesnt care about people getting killed in Ukraine, just that this might interrupt her trips to Italy."

A widely liked tweet from user Joanne Mason read, "God grant me the absolute confidence and egocentricity of Joy Behar complaining that a war ruined her vacation plans while the bombs are still literally dropping."

Even Behar fans turned their backs on the co-host over the remarks.

One user wrote, "She sounded so damned entitled when she said that and I actually like her."

"I'm old and say dumb stuff sometimes too, but holy hell, she was being just startlingly oblivious," another user added.

Twitter user Sarara chimed in, "Can you even imagine being so privileged, so removed from reality, so far up your own colon that you’d respond to a massive humanitarian crisis by complaining about your hypothetical vacation being disrupted? Seriously, what the hell @JoyVBehar?"

Behar has yet to issue a clarification or apology for the offending and insensitive remarks.

VIDEO: Joy Behar misgenders Caitlyn Jenner, blames it on sleep deprivation

Steven Crowder noted Joy Behar's "liberal privilege" after "The View" co-host misgendered Caitlyn Jenner more than once during Friday's show, then blamed her mistakes on "not getting enough sleep."

"So, first of all, let me apologize for my pronoun mix-up," she said. "I think I just didn't get enough sleep last night. I had no intention of mixing them up and I tried to correct it immediately. But, whatever, it just came out. So I'm sorry if anybody was upset by that."

Crowder sarcastically questioned if he could have avoided being demonetized on YouTube if he had used the "but, whatever" defense and blamed what he said about sleep deprivation.

Caitlyn Jenner has since commented on Behar's the matter: "Don't sweat it, @JoyVBehar," Jenner tweeted on Saturday morning. "I'm not about cancel culture. I know where your heart is. California has bigger issues than pronouns."

'The View' segment descends into chaos after GOP House candidate Kim Klacik calls out Joy Behar for blackface

An interview on "The View" with Kimberly Klacik, a Republican running for Congress in Maryland, ended badly after Klacik called out host Joy Behar for her blackface scandal.

Klacik is running in the 7th Congressional District in Maryland, a heavily Democratic district formerly served by the late Elijah Cummings, and has been endorsed by President Donald Trump.

When discussing President Trump's COVID-19 response, Behar asked Klacik to answer for Trump's admission to reporter Bob Woodward that he downplayed the virus early on.

"Excuse me, I have to say something to you," Behar began. "He told Bob Woodward that it was a very serious issue. That it was airborne, and that it was terrible. Then he went out and told the American people, 'Don't wear masks, it's all gonna go away. You have to put some blame on your president, I'm sorry. You're putting it on something extraneous here. Talk to the point, please."

"Is this Joy speaking?" Klacik responded. "The same Joy that paraded around in blackface not too long ago? Come on, Joy, I don't think you should be asking these questions."

Behar responded angrily to Klacik's topic shift.

"Excuse me," Behar interjected angrily. "The black community had my back. They know that that was not blackface, that was an homage. Oh, please. Just answer the question."

As Behar was talking, Klacik responded that the black community had her back as well, leading host Sunny Hostin to jump in.

"The black community has your back?" Hostin interjected, incredulously. "The black community has your back? The black community did not vote for you. What planet are you living on? What planet are you living on? Wow."

As Klacik attempted to explain the circumstances around the special election that she lost in February to Democrat Kweisi Mfume, who she is challenging again, Hostin turns around in her chair and Behar dismissively ends the interview.

"Listen, Kim, good luck to you," Behar said as she ended the interview.

Joy Behar Mocks Trump On Vaccine: I’ll ‘Take The Vaccine After Ivanka Takes It.’ Ivanka Retorts: I’ll Do It On Your Show.

On Wednesday, Trump-hating Joy Behar of ABC’s “The View” mocked President Trump’s claim that a successful vaccine for COVID-19 may be offered soon, taunting Ivanka Trump by snapping, “By the way, I will take the vaccine after Ivanka takes it.” On Thursday, Ivanka fired back on Twitter, writing, “Deal @JoyVBehar. Ivanka Trump calls Joy Behar's bluff on COVID-19 vaccine — and says she'll take it live on 'The View'

Ivanka Trump says she's not only ready and willing to take a COVID-19 vaccine — she'll take it live on "The View" to call co-host Joy Behar's bluff.

Behar said Wednesday that she had serious doubts about the efficacy of a rushed vaccine and would not take any vaccine approved by the Trump administration unless the president's daughter took it first.

What are the details?

In a Thursday tweet directed at the liberal TV co-host, the president's daughter wrote,"Deal @JoyVBehar. I would come on your show to do so. I trust the FDA and so should all Americans. Vanquishing this virus should be our collective top priority."

'It's not a simple thing to do'

On Wednesday, Behar suggested that any Trump administration-approved vaccine for COVID-19 could be faulty and unsafe.

The Trump administration has furiously been working to get a coronavirus vaccine approved and distributed to the American public by the end of 2020.

"[President Donald Trump] will push anything to get re-elected," Behar spat. "Don't fall for it. And by the way, I will take the vaccine after Ivanka takes it."

Earlier in the segment, Behar explained, "As far as the vaccine is concerned, I'd like to inform America — in case we don't know this, because I looked all this up for you — the mumps vaccine took four years, the polio vaccine took 20 years, and the smallpox vaccine took a few centuries. It was developed initially in 1796 when they started to think about it, and it became useful in the 1950s. OK? It's not a simple thing to do."

Fox News reported on Thursday that a source purporting to be close to the production "would welcome Ivanka Trump [on the show] and attempted to book her prior to the start of the current season."

Behar has yet to respond to the first daughter's tweet.
