Kamala Harris Doesn’t Care About White People
Hurricane Helene should be Harris’s Katrina moment, but it won’t be because the victims are white Trump supporters.
In the entertainment industry, very few celebrities openly support conservatives. However, several prominent rappers have shown support for former President Donald Trump heading into the 2024 presidential election.
There has been no shortage of rappers who have been outspoken opponents of Trump since he became a Republican politician.
In 2017, Snoop Dogg released a music video for the song "Lavender," which featured him shooting a clown dressed as President Trump with a gag gun.
The cover for Snoop Dogg's album from the same year — "Make America Crip Again" — features a dead body at a morgue with a toe tag that reads "Trump."
Rapper Eminem unleashed a four-minute freestyle rap during the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards slamming Trump.
Eminem — whose real name is Marshall Mathers — attacked Trump in his 2017 song titled "The Ringer" and accused the then-president of being afraid to respond to his constant criticisms.
Kendrick Lamar called Trump a "chump" in his "The Heart Part 4" rap song released in 2017.
However, there is a growing number of hip-hop entertainers who are publicly endorsing Trump.
Some of the support is fueled by Trump’s policies on criminal justice reform and economic initiatives. Other rappers are spurred by the need to be counterculture disruptors.
In June, Joe Rogan noted that rappers were showing support for Trump after his guilty verdict for falsifying business records.
“So many rappers are showing support for Trump now, it’s crazy," said Rogan. "Because now, he’s got a felony. I mean, like, now they realize also he’s getting trapped by the system, just like everybody’s been rapping about being trapped by the system, this bulls**t system. And you watch it happen with him.”
This new alignment with a strong Republican politician is a stark contrast to hip-hop's historically strong ties to the Democratic Party.
From chart-topping hip-hop music artists to influential voices in the rap genre, these rappers are bucking the status quo.
Here is the best list of rappers who have shown support for Trump.

In the final hours of Trump's presidency, he pardoned 74 people and commuted the sentences of 70 others. Among the 144 people, Trump pardoned Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. – better known as rapper Lil Wayne.
“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community,” Lil Wayne said on the X social media platform a day after Joe Biden’s inauguration.
The Grammy-winning rapper was facing a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a loaded weapon.
Lil Wayne praised Trump for his "Platinum Plan," which was aimed at creating economic opportunities for black Americans through a $500 billion investment.
In October 2020, Lil Wayne had a meeting with Trump.
"Besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the Platinum Plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done," Lil Wayne said.

In 2019, rapper Kodak Black was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges regarding falsifying information on federal forms to buy four firearms from a Miami-area gun shop.
Besides pardoning Lil Wayne, Trump also commuted Kodak Black's 46-month federal prison sentence.
“I Want To Thank The President Donald Trump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love,” Kodak Black wrote on social media in January 2021. "It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing."
In April, Kodak Black defended Trump after he was booked on criminal charges.
“I feel like these people on some other s**t,” the South Florida rapper said. “So they know like, they gonna try to get Trump out the way ’cause Trump a stand-up n****, he a real n****. He’ll let a b***h do anything. … Trump a real n****, man, a soldier.”
Kodak Black – whose real name is Bill K. Kapri – added, "Trump already had big baggage. Luggage. Y'all get off Trump, man."

In December 2018, then-President Trump signed the First Step Act into law. The First Step Act is a significant and sweeping criminal justice reform law.
The First Step Act is designed to improve and promote rehabilitation, lower recidivism, and reduce excessive sentences in the federal prison system
Rapper Sexyy Red praised Trump for passing the First Step Act and helping to provide stimulus checks to Americans during the pandemic.
“I like Trump,” Sexyy Red told comedian Theo Von on his "This Past Weekend" podcast in October 2023. “They support him in the hood. At first, I don't think people was f***ing with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s**t against women. Once he started getting black people out of jail and giving people that free money, aw baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”
The St. Louis rapper added, “I love Trump. He funny to me. I used to be watching him talking to people. He used to be calling people fat. He just bold. He funny. We need people like him.”
Sexyy Red has utilized the phrase "Make America Sexyy Again" as part of her branding — a take on Trump's "Make America Great Again."
Sexyy Red had two singles on Billboard's "Hot 100" chart.

Music artist Anuel AA has been an unapologetic supporter of Donald Trump.
Puerto Rican musicians Anuel AA and Justin Quiles attended a Trump campaign rally in Pennsylvania in August.
Trump introduced the reggaetón stars as "musical legends."
Anuel told the crowd, "I’m from Puerto Rico, and since Trump hasn’t been around, it’s not a secret we’ve been going through a lot as a country. Biden always promised [and] promised — a lot of politicians promised through the years. All of us know … the best president the world has seen, this country has ever seen — his name is President Trump."
Anuel continued, "All my Puerto Ricans, let’s stay united. Let’s vote for Trump. I personally spoke with him, he wants to help Puerto Rico grow and succeed as a country. He wants to keep helping Latinos in the U.S. Let’s keep doing things the right way, and let’s make America great again."
Quiles added, "Mr. President, above all, I like you because, I’ve always said this, you’re not a puppet. I back you because I feel you’re the most honest president we ever had. A lot of Latinos, we stand strong next to President Trump. Thank you for sharing how important building Puerto Rico up again is, and not just Puerto Rico — let’s make America great again!"

Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald has garnered popularity with several controversial and politically charged songs that champion conservative values.
MacDonald started his career as a professional wrestler before transitioning to music.
MacDonald's songs and lyrics frequently delve into themes such as cancel culture, being against wokeness, blasting political correctness, questioning social justice movements, criticizing the mainstream media, skewering attempts to stifle free speech, and advancing conservative viewpoints.
Some of his well-known tracks include "Fake Woke," "Snowflakes," "Brainwashed," "Cancelled," "No Lives Matter," "American Flags," "Sheeple," "The System," "New World Order," "In God We Trust," and "Facts" with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.
Within 24 hours of the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, MacDonald released the song "You Missed." The song quickly reached #1 on iTunes.
MacDonald slams political extremism from the left in the lyrics: "They're burnin' the country down with their progressiveness / It started with changing what gender is / Then graduated to you're racist if you think / That your life matters and your skin don't have melanin / They don't want peace, they want skeletons / They want men to pretend that they're feminine / They don't want an election, they got so offended by freedom / That they just tried killin' the president."

Kanye West — now legally known as Ye — has been a fervent supporter of Trump in recent years.
West initially expressed support for Trump after the 2016 presidential election.
Ye told the crowd at a California concert in November 2016, “I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? But if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted for Trump.”
In 2018, Kanye made his iconic visit to the White House while wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
“It was something about when I put this hat on that made me feel like Superman. You made a Superman — that’s my favorite superhero — you made a Superman cape,” West told reporters at the Oval Office at the time. “I think it’s the bravery that helps you beat this game called life. They tried to scare me into not wearing this hat — my own friends. This hat, it gives me power in a certain way.”
In November 2022, Ye had dinner with the former president at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.
The two mavericks reportedly had a falling out during the Mar-a-Lago dinner when Ye asked Trump to be his vice president.
“I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about, me asking him to be my vice president,” Ye said in a video posted to the X social media platform. “I think that was like lower on the list of things that caught him off guard.”
Kanye continued, “When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I was going to lose — I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? I’m like hold on, hold on, hold on, Trump, you’re talking to Ye.”
However, Kanye said in February that he is still a Trump supporter.
“Yeah, of course, it’s Trump all day,” Ye stated. “What you talking about? You know what it is.”
Trump recently said Kanye is "very complicated" but has a "good heart."
“He’s very complicated,” Trump said of West during a livestream hosted by streamer Adin Ross. “Let’s say complicated because he is. He’s a really nice guy, but he can get some people into trouble. And he can get some other people. He’s got a good heart — he does, he does, but he’s complicated.”

While the Tom Brady roast had some great Tom Brady jokes, it seemed to have even more jokes focused on one of the celebrities in attendance.
That celebrity was Kim Kardashian, who, according to Lauren Chen, took “the biggest Ls of the evening.”
“When Kim took the stage to deliver her roast of Brady, she got booed so badly that they actually had to try to get the audience to stop,” Chen says.
When Tony Hinchcliffe took the stage, he spent a bit of his roast “absolutely demolishing Kim Kardashian.”
Hinchcliffe noted that Will Ferrell was in attendance, whose famous movie character Ron Burgundy used the term “whale's vagina” in “Anchorman.”
“Whale's vagina,” Hinchcliffe said, “which reminds me, Kim Kardashian’s here, she’s had a lot of black men celebrate in her end zone. Kim, word of advice, close your legs. You have more public beef than Kendrick and Drake.”
“So, clearly, Kim was a popular punching bag that evening. But with that said, she seemed to take the jokes, at least you know publicly from what we saw, with the right spirit,” Chen says.
Even Tom Brady took some shots at Kardashian, saying, “I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight, not because of this but because her kids are home with their dad.”

Kanye West made waves in the Christian conservative community when he began declaring his love for and allegiance to God — but now that is all being called into question.
West shockingly announced plans to launch “Yeezy Porn,” before he subsequently deleted his social media.
The trailer for his new porn site simply revealed a message that read, “Yeezy porn is cumming,” while a woman said “Go to yeezy.com.”
“Kanye West is now one of the biggest celebrity disappointments of my lifetime,” Jason Whitlock says, sounding defeated. “I defended Kanye, had hope for Kanye, thought he was in a battle with his demons and with fame, the most powerful drug.”
“I was rooting for him,” Whitlock continues, adding that Kanye’s “clearly lost that battle” and has “turned his life fully over to Satan.”
Shemeka Michelle is also disappointed and tells Whitlock that she “was rooting for him as well.”
“It’s unfortunate because literally all Kanye has to do is make good music. He has very loyal fans that really like his music,” Michelle says, noting that “Yeezy Porn” was hardly the beginning of his downfall.
“All of that stuff in your mouth that makes you look like your breath stinks, having your wife walking around half naked, covering your face, all of these antics he does not need,” she says. “It’s unfortunate that he feels like he has to get into all of these other things to get attention.”
“Can we not at this point conclude that that's really is all Kanye is — an attention w**re?” Whitlock says.

“Ye,” formally known as Kanye West, has allegedly announced that he’s launching “Yeezy Porn” with Stormy Daniels’ ex-husband Mike Moz.
The adult entertainment brand is something Ye has apparently been wanting to add to the Yeezy empire for a while now, which many find strange, considering just a short time ago, the rapper was professing his newfound faith in God.
The Daily Mail also pointed out that this shocking announcement comes just “five years after revealing ‘addiction’ to lewd material.”
According to the article, Kanye admitted that porn had “destroyed his family,” and at one point, he even told the staff who was working on the “Jesus Is King” album, “I don’t want you having premarital sex, I don’t want you engaging in sexual immorality.”
But now, he’s launching a porn business? What gives?
Allie Beth Stuckey and Jason Whitlock sit down to discuss the news.
“This is the same guy who a few years ago was stunning all of us with his Gospel album [and] his conversion to Christ,” says Allie, adding that she personally felt “very excited” about Ye’s alleged spiritual awakening.
“He’s in a wrestling match with fame, which in my view is the most powerful drug on the planet,” says Jason. “And he’s losing that wrestling match.”
While Allie acknowledges that “we can’t discern his heart” or “what parts of his transformation a few years ago were sincere,” we can look at the situation and see that “this is spiritual warfare.”
“The Gospel was being proclaimed through his music [and] through some of his Sunday services. God was being worshiped, and Satan did not like that. That we know for sure,” she tells Jason.
According to Jason, Kanye is just another “story of the worship of money ... the world and being popular.”
“In order to win the battle he was trying to fight, he would have had to separate himself from the commercial music industry and all the demonic energy that’s within the music industry,” he says, adding that “Kanye hasn’t taken any of those steps.”
“We shouldn’t be all that surprised that he has fallen.”

A lawsuit filled with bizarre claims about rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West was filed by a former employee, accusing him of race discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
Former employee Trevor Phillips, a black man himself, alleged in his complaint that West mistreated black employees.
"During his tenure, Phillips never witnessed West yell and berate a white person, but on countless occasions he saw and/or personally experienced Kanye frenziedly yell at black people," the suit alleged.
Phillips worked at Yeezy as well as the Donda Academy from November 2022 to approximately August 2023. He claimed he saw other allegedly racially discriminatory behavior such as West ordering a black security guard to shave his dreadlocks or face termination.
This was coupled with West allegedly saying he only likes to date white women. However, the claims against West, who now goes by Ye, are numerous.
As reported by Variety, Phillips was invited to the Nobu Hotel in Malibu, California, to meet Ye shortly after his hiring. At the hotel, West allegedly demanded that hotel staff put on the movie "The Batman" from 2022 and that he and Phillips watch the film with no sound.
Another claim in the lawsuit was that Ye threatened to punch Phillips in the face but changed his mind and turned his fist motion into an imitation of Mario's celebration from the Super Mario games. He then reportedly said he would give Phillips "one more chance."
West was also accused of telling staffers that he would fire any employees if they were "fat," according to People.
"In front of the schoolchildren, Kanye continued his dangerous rhetoric," the lawsuit alleged about West's school called the Donda Academy.
West allegedly told two children that he "wanted them to shave their heads and that he intended to put a jail at the school — and that they could be locked in cages. The staff quickly distracted the children, and escorted them out of the room."
Along with a series of alleged racist rants, Phillips' employment complaints generally focused on his mistreatment. He claimed that during his time working for West he suffered psychological and emotional distress and was humiliated.
Instances allegedly included Ye screaming that Phillips was "f**king fired" and telling him to "get the f**k out of here" in front of 100 people. Another claim was that West was dissatisfied with a garden and caused the former employee to cry when he ripped plants out of the ground.
Phillips was also allegedly told to drive to a farm to scout the location for a possible purchase by West. After touring it and giving West his impressions, West reportedly said he would buy the property and put Phillips in charge. However, the following day the rapper allegedly texted Phillips to say "you still fired. You not on the level."
A representative for West did not respond to requests for comments from People, Rolling Stone, or the LA Times.
Phillips is seeking damages of over $35,000.

An Israeli mixed martial arts fighter has taken credit for Kanye West's name being written on what appeared to be an artillery round for the Israel Defense Forces.
Haim Gozali, who has a record of 15-6 as an MMA fighter and is 2-0 since starting professional bare-knuckle boxing, posted an image of munitions with the artist's name written on one of the explosives.
"Kanye West," "flying to Gaza," and "Haim gozali" were all written on a single munitions round.
"Kanye West you don’t like us jewish. So we don’t like you too !!!" Gozali wrote on X, with the attached photo.
@kanyewest you don\xe2\x80\x99t like us jewish. So we don\xe2\x80\x99t like you too !!!— (@)
According to Fox News, Gozali has served in the IDF, but it is unclear when or for how long.
Gozali has, however, made the messages on the explosive rounds his trademark of sorts. TMZ reported that in November 2023 Gozali also took credit for the names of Muslim UFC fighters who have expressed support for Palestine being written on a similar explosive.
Names included the undefeated and now retired Khabib Nurmagomedov and current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
The controversial deed has even been extended to MMA outlet Bloody Elbow. Gozali posted a similar image that said "Bloody Elbow F**k You" on one of the rounds, linking to one of the publication's articles.
The article was titled "The Israeli MMA fighter celebrating Palestinian deaths" and accused Gozali of celebrating the death of a Palestinian journalist.

Amid the controversy, rapper and designer West released an apology to Jewish people, in Hebrew, on his Instagram page.
According to Reuters, West said, "I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unplanned outburst. ... It was not my intent to hurt or disrespect, and I very much regret any pain I may have caused."
"I am committed to begin with myself and to learn from this experience in order to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future," the Hebrew message reportedly read.
West was part of a string of reactivations on Elon Musk's platform X, when host Alex Jones, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.), and West were all given another chance on the website.
However, West's return to the app was without the level of publicity that Jones' received. Jones was reinstated after Musk posted a poll asking if he should be allowed back on the platform. Approximately 70% of respondents voted for Jones' return.
