Karine Jean-Pierre throws TEMPER TANTRUM over questions about Biden's health

The White House press corps is not happy with Karine Jean-Pierre — as she just can’t seem to stop repeating lies from the White House regarding the president’s health.

“I never answered the question incorrectly,” Jean-Pierre responded to a frustrated member of the press. “That is not true. I was asked about a medical exam, I was asked about a physical, that was in the line of questions that I answered.”

“And I said ‘No, he did not have a medical exam,’ and I still stand by that. Matter of fact, the president still stands by that. He had a verbal check-in, that is something that the president has a couple times a week,” Jean-Pierre continued.

When another reporter asked the name of the doctor with whom President Biden has weekly check-ins, Jean-Pierre got angrier.

“I am telling you right now that I am not sharing, confirming names from here. It is a security reason. I am not going to do that Ed, it doesn’t matter how hard you push me, it doesn’t matter how angry you get with me. I’m not going to confirm a name,” she said.

Pat Gray is confused as to why it’s a “security reason.”

“If she mentions the guy's name, if it’s Dr. Cannard, does that mean people are going to try to kill him? Is that what the security issue is? Are you endangering his life by saying, ‘Yeah, he treated the president?’ This is BS. Come on,” Gray says.

Jean-Pierre then went on to claim that it was for the doctor’s “privacy.”

“It is inappropriate, it is not acceptable,” she added.

“He’s the president’s doctor,” Gray laughs. “That just ruins your career.”

In another press briefing, Jean-Pierre appeared to be on the brink of tears.

“We literally do everything that we can, my team does, that we can, to make sure that we get the answers to you,” she said. “And sometimes we disagree, sometimes we are not in agreement. But you know what, that’s democracy.”

“And so to say that I’m holding information, or allude to anything else, is unfair, is really, really unfair,” she continued. “And I will admit, I will be the first one to admit, sometimes I get it wrong. At least I admit that.”

Then it got worse, as Jean-Pierre told reporters sometimes she doesn’t “have the information,” but again, at least she admits it.

When she was asked whether or not Biden would submit to a cognitive test, Jean-Pierre said more of absolutely nothing.

“Everything that he does day in and day out, as it relates to delivering for the American people, is a cognitive test.”

KJP fails to land mental gymnastics routine when confronted over hypocrisy of Biden's accepted use of 'bloodbath'

The left's apoplexy over former President Donald Trump's recent of the well-worn term "bloodbath" continues to pay dividends.

The White House' repeated condemnations of the term exposed press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to questions Tuesday about whether President Joe Biden's use of "bloodbath" was similarly deserving of a formal denunciation.

Jean-Pierre did not fare well in her attempt to reconcile Democratic outrage with Biden's culpability.

Quick background

On March 16, Trump used the word "bloodbath" in reference to the economic fallout of continued offshoring of jobs and automobile manufacturing plants under the Biden administration.

Trump addressed Chinese dictator Xi Jinping during his speech at the Dayton International Airport in Ohio, saying, "Let me tell you something ... those big monster car manufacturing plants that you're building in Mexico right now, and you think you're going to get that, you're going to not hire Americans, and you're going to sell the cars to us? No."

"We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those guys – if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they're not going to sell those cars."

Blaze News previously reported that Democrats and the liberal media — including CBS News, Politico, NPR, Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles Times, and USA Today — rushed to mischaracterize Trump's remarks while glossing over their own use of the term in recent months and years.

The social media account for Biden's re-election campaign helped perpetuate the false narrative, posting a de-contextualized excerpt of the video with the caption, "Trump: If I don't get elected, it's gonna be a bloodbath. It's gonna be a bloodbath for the country."

Doubling down

Trump and the Republican Party doubled down on the use of the term this week, applying it in other contexts.

The Republican front-runner criticized the Biden administration's failed border policies while speaking to a crowd Tuesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at a podium emblazoned with a sign that read, "Stop Biden's Border Bloodbath," reported USA Today.

The Republican National Committee, similarly criticizing Biden over the fallout of his failure to secure the border, launched a website Tuesday entitled, "Biden Bloodbath."

The website claims that Biden "is allowing vicious criminals into the United States, and innocent Americans across the country are paying the price. Lethal drugs, cartels, gangs, and terrorists are taking advantage of the crisis to enter the U.S. and threaten America. This is an invasion aided and abetted by Joe Biden, supported by Democrats who vote for his dangerous and cruel policies. This is Biden's border bloodbath."

More mental gymnastics

When asked about Trump's latest use of the term bloodbath during the White House press briefing Tuesday, Jean-Pierre said, "We have to denounce any violent rhetoric that we hear, certainly from our leaders, right, that tears our country apart."

"Any type of violent rhetoric, we're going to denounce that," added Jean-Pierre. "It doesn't matter who it comes from, we're going to denounce it."

White House correspondent Peter Doocy sought clarification, asking Jean-Pierre, "So when Donald Trump is talking about a bloodbath, it is violent rhetoric. What was it when Joe Biden said in 2020, 'What we can't let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath?'"

Biden made the remark in March 2020 when campaigning against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) in the Democratic primaries.

Doocy's question clearly put Jean-Pierre in a bind. After all, she had just vowed to denounce such "violent rhetoric" regardless of the source.

"So I'm going to be really mindful and careful about Donald Trump, but if you read — because he is a candidate — we're talking about a 2024 election, you should read what he said in its context. So you got to read what he said in context."

Doocy added, "I'm just saying, 'bloodbath' is an ugly word when Trump uses it. What is it when Biden uses it?"

"No, no, no," stammered Jean-Pierre. "Let's be very clear. You gotta actually ask me the question in the context of what it was said, right? And what was said when he said that, right, in his remarks, in his speech, right? And so that's being disingenuous in your question."

After Doocy followed up again with the direct quote from Biden, Jean-Pierre attempted to excuse the geriatric Democrat's language with the kind of context her allies previously denied Trump.

"He was talking about a group of people, a group of people," said Jean-Pierre. "That's what he's talking about. What the president was talking about during the primary was not to allow it to be the words and the primary and that election to become negative. Two different things. They're not the same. They're not the same, and your question is disingenuous."

While refusing to denounce Biden's use of allegedly "violent rhetoric," Jean-Pierre stressed that such denunciations were nevertheless important.

Before executing the in-person equivalent of an abrupt hang-up, the press secretary suggested that Trump's use of the word "bloodbath" in relation to the automotive industry was more inflammatory than Biden's use "because we saw what happened on January 6."

Q: Why was it acceptable for Biden to use the term "bloodbath" in 2020, but not when President Trump uses it?

KARINE JEAN-PIERRE: *brain breaks*

Will Biden serve full second term? WH official forced to clean up suggestive response: 'Something for him to decide'

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was forced to clarify her remarks after suggesting President Joe Biden would not serve all four years of a second term.

At the White House press briefing on Tuesday, reporters peppered Jean-Pierre with numerous questions about Biden's re-election campaign. One of those questions sought an answer to whether Biden plans to serve the entirety of a second term.

"I'm just not going to get ahead of the president. That's something for him to decide," Jean-Pierre responded. "I'm just not going to get ahead of it."

“"Does the president plan to serve all eight years?"

Press Sec: "That's something for him to decide"

”
— Alex Thompson (@Alex Thompson) 1682449679

The ambiguity of Jean-Pierre's response led to speculation that Biden is considering not fulfilling a second term if he wins re-election.

But after the briefing, Jean-Pierre clarified that Biden will serve an entire second term if re-elected. Jean-Pierre explained that she did not provide a more clear answer at the briefing to avoid violating the Hatch Act, a federal law that prohibits federal employees from engaging in political activities.

"As you know, we take following the law seriously. So I wanted to be sure that I didn't go into 2024 more than is appropriate under the law. But I can confirm that if re-elected, @POTUS would serve all 8 years," she said on Twitter.

— Karine Jean-Pierre (@Karine Jean-Pierre) 1682450340

The initial response played into concerns about Biden's age and cognitive abilities. Already the oldest president in U.S. history, Biden would be 82 years old at his second inauguration and 86 years old at the end of the term.

Critics who are skeptical of Biden's fitness for the presidency have floated the theory that Democrats want Biden to run again to ensure that Democrats remain in control of the White House even if Biden resigns because of his health or passes away in office.

One Democratic strategist even recently suggested that it is imperative for Democrats to reconsider whether Vice President Kamala Harris should be Biden's 2024 running mate precisely because the combination of Biden's age and Harris' unpopularity may persuade moderate voters against supporting a Biden-Harris ticket.

Replacing her with a more popular candidate would thus alleviate concerns about the "succession" problem if Biden for some reason cannot fulfill a full second term.

Self-described 'openly queer' press secretary marks Lesbian Visibility Week from the White House podium

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre celebrated homosexuality on Tuesday as she was flanked by four women affiliated with the Showtime series "The L Word" and "The L Word: Generation Q."

"So this week is Lesbian Visibility Week, and as the first openly queer person" to serve as White House press secretary, "I see everyday how important visibility and representation are," Jean-Pierre declared while opening Tuesday's briefing.

"As a young queer woman of color I felt alone and sometimes invisible," she said. "Being able to see diverse narratives that reflect our lives is incredibly important," Pierre said. "This week is a testament to how far we've come and the work that remains to advance equality to all people."

"We're honored to have the opportunity to be here today standing beside the first out-lesbian press secretary in our history, who serves the most pro-LGBTQI president in our history," Ilene Chaiken, co-creator of "The L Word," said while delivering remarks after Jean-Pierre.

President Joe Biden on Tuesday officially announced his re-election bid, and Jean-Pierre has noted that if he wins re-election, Biden would serve the full term. "I can confirm that if re-elected, @POTUS would serve all 8 years," Jean-Pierre tweeted.

Biden, who became the oldest president in history at the time of his 2021 inauguration, would be 86 years old by the end of a second term.

"Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours. That's why I'm running for reelection as President of the United States. Join us. Let's finish the job," Biden tweeted on Tuesday.

Peter Doocy confronts Karine Jean-Pierre on her election-denying hypocrisy

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy on Tuesday confronted White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on her past claims that the 2016 election was "stolen" after Democrats and President Joe Biden have tied election denial to "fascism."

As the November midterm elections approach, Biden has used increasingly incendiary rhetoric against so-called "MAGA Republicans," accusing GOP officials who followed former President Donald Trump and challenged the results of the 2020 presidential election of embracing "semi-fascism." In a highly controversial prime-time speech last Thursday, Biden denounced Trumpism as "extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic."

In remarks on Friday, Biden attempted to clarify what he meant, saying that he was not referring to Trump voters, but rather the failure of certain politicians to condemn the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, or "failure to acknowledge when elections were won or lost."

During Tuesday's press briefing, Jean-Pierre emphasized that Biden is not labeling GOP voters extremists, just the elected officials who represent their interests and beliefs.

"He has been very clear that he's talking about office-holders, he's talking about elected officials who have these MAGA, ultra-MAGA Republican agendas," she told reporters.

But Doocy questioned whether the president's remarks also apply to Democrats who falsely claimed the 2016 election was rigged by Russia in favor of Trump. "If we're all in agreement that it is incorrect to say the 2020 election was stolen, what about the 2016 election?" Doocy asked. But Jean-Pierre dodged the question.

"Look, I'm not going to go back to where we were or what happened in 2016. We're going to focus on the here and now, we're going to focus on what's happening today," she replied.

— Townhall.com (@Townhall.com) 1662483241

Doocy followed up with questions about Jean-Pierre's own statements. In December 2016, she tweeted, "Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election. ... welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump."

And in 2019, Jean-Pierre denied that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) was the legitimate winner of the gubernatorial election against Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams, who alleged Republicans cheated with voter suppression and did not concede the race.

"Yes - the race was stolen," Jean-Pierre tweeted in response to someone who called the 2018 contest a "stolen election." She later said in April 2020 that Kemp "stole the gubernatorial election from Georgians and Stacey Abrams."

— Karine Jean-Pierre (@Karine Jean-Pierre) 1585845452

"With the new attention on the 'MAGA Republicans,' you tweeted in 2016, 'Trump stole an election,'" Doocy said.

"Oh, I knew this was coming," Jean-Pierre interrupted, smiling and laughing. "I was waiting, Peter, when you were going to ask me that question."

"Well, great, here we go," Doocy said. "You tweeted Trump stole an election. You tweeted Brian Kemp stole an election. If denying election results is extreme now, why wasn't it then?"

"So let's be really clear, that comparison that you made is just ridiculous," Jean-Pierre responded.

"I was talking specifically at that time of what was happening with voting rights and what was in danger of voting rights. That's what I was speaking to at the time," she continued. "And here's the thing: I have said, Governor Kemp won the election in Georgia. I've been clear about that. I have said President Trump won the election of 2016, and I have been clear about that."

“DOOCY: "You tweeted in 2016 that Trump stole an election."

KJP: "I knew this was coming."

DOOCY: "If denying election results is extreme now, why wasn't it then?"

KJP: "That comparison that you made is just ridiculous."”
— Townhall.com (@Townhall.com) 1662483354

Jean-Pierre seized on the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to draw a distinction between her false claims and those made by Trump, who she said "incited" an "insurrection."

"It was an attack on our democracy," she said. "Let's not forget, people died that day. Law enforcement were attacked that day. That was the danger that we were seeing at the time. That's what the president has called out and that's what he's going to continue to call out.

"So yes, when you have MAGA Republicans, an extreme part of Republicans who just deny or do not want to really say what exactly happened on that day, or say it was a protest when it clearly was not a peaceful protest, that's not what we saw on that day, yes the president is going to call that out."

Biden ACTUALLY expects you to believe 'our economy had 0% inflation' last month — isn't fooling anyone

Speaking before signing the “PACT Act of 2022” on Wednesday morning, President Joe Biden claimed that his wonderful economic plan "is working" and that somehow July’s annual inflation rate of 8.5% was actually “zero.”

“I just want to say a number: zero. Today we received news that our economy had 0% inflation in the month of July,” Biden said during a ceremony in the East Room of the White House.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dutifully echoed the president's not-at-all misleading claim:

— Karine Jean-Pierre (@Karine Jean-Pierre) 1660142051

The truth of the matter is that last month's inflation rate of 8.5% was a (small) step in the right direction, but only because it was lower than June's 41-year high of 9.1% — and the thing is, anyone who's graduated kindergarten knows it.
