NY Gov. Kathy Hochul announces plans to use 'surveillance' to monitor hate speech on social media

The woke state of New York is using “hate speech” and “safety” to justify monitoring citizens’ social media accounts using surveillance technology.

Gov. Kathy Hochul, who Sara Gonzales says “is in the competition for the worst ever,” recently came out with a statement claiming that New York is ramping up its surveillance protocols in an effort to counter online negativity.

“We're very focused on the data we're collecting from surveillance efforts – what's being said on social media platforms – and we have launched an effort to be able to counter some of the negativity and reach out to people when we see hate speech being spoken about on online platforms. … Our Social Media Analysis Unit has ramped up its monitoring of sites to catch incitement to violence [and] direct threats to others, and all this is in response to our desire, our strong commitment to ensure that not only do New Yorkers be safe but they also feel safe,” Hochul stated.

“Of course, she is saying this in relation to the anti-Semitic attacks that are going on,” says Sara, who acknowledges that the “pro-Palestine rallies that are happening [are] very, very unnerving,” but that doesn’t excuse the “problems with government monitoring your speech on social media.”

Sara astutely points out that this is coming from the same party that said Donald Trump “incited violence … on January 6 when he told people to peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard.”

That and the fact that people in the U.K. are literally being arrested for “deadnaming or misgendering someone online” in the name of “hate speech” has people concerned that Hochul’s efforts are about a lot more than just monitoring anti-Semitism.

The problem with policing people’s social media platforms for “hate speech” and “inciting violence” is the matter of who gets to determine how those terms are defined.

“Don’t get me wrong,” says Sara, “a credible threat is a credible threat and should be treated as such.”

Unfortunately, from what we’ve seen from the left, “hate speech” can be as benign as disagreeing with the newfound gender ideology, and “inciting violence” can amount to encouraging people to exercise their right to peacefully protest.

Comedian Kathy Griffin declares, 'If you don't want a Civil War, vote for Democrats,' but 'If you do want Civil War, vote Republican'

Comedian Kathy Griffin posted a tweet on Tuesday declaring that people who do not want the U.S. to descend into civil war should support Democrats during the 2022 midterm election, while those who want a civil war should back the GOP.

"If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November. If you do want Civil War, vote Republican," Griffin tweeted.

Some on social media suggested that Griffin's post represented a threat, though the comedian pushed back against that idea.

"This is WRONG. Crazy Hollywood Leftie threatening 'Civil War' if Dems don’t win. Sadly, this is today’s Left: angry, hateful & violent," GOP Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas tweeted.

“This is WRONG.

Crazy Hollywood Leftie threatening “Civil War” if Dems don’t win.

Sadly, this is today’s Left: angry, hateful & violent.”

"So the logic of this tweet is that the left will start a civil war if Republicans win?" tweeted Vince Coglianese, who hosts a radio program and is the Daily Caller's editorial director.

In 2017, Griffin posed while holding an object meant to resemble a bloody version of President Donald Trump's head.

An individual replied to Griffin's "Civil War" tweet on Tuesday by sharing that bloody head photo and commenting, "We had your civil war for six years now. We're used to it." Griffin responded by posting clown emojis.

Responding to Griffin's post about the 2022 elections, Kristina Wong of Breitbart remarked that the tweet "sounds like a threat."

Griffin responded to Wong's post by writing, "You guys. The maga blue checks are at it again. Because they are constantly threatening Civil War, they are now trying to suggest that I am the one who is threatening a Civil War. Because you know, that’s my thing," the comedian wrote, adding in an eye-roll emoji.

Griffin retweeted and thanked an individual who wrote, "People purposefully misconstruing what Kathy Griffin tweeted is so 2022. She means that Reps WANT civil war and Dems don't. It's not a threat, it's an observation."

'To anyone seeking abortion care, know that you are welcome in New York': Gov. Kathy Hochul celebrates Good Friday the day after blasting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for signing a pro-life bill

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul marked Good Friday after making a social media post on Thursday in which she both invited people to come get abortions in the Empire State and slammed GOP Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for signing pro-life legislation.

DeSantis signed legislation on Thursday that will protect the lives of unborn children by prohibiting the performance of most abortions if the gestational age of a baby is greater than 15 weeks. The measure, which is slated to take effect on July 1, allows exceptions to preserve the life of the mother and avoid significant risk of serious injury — there is also an exception if the unborn child has not yet reached viability and is determined to have a "fatal fetal abnormality."

"Smiling from ear to ear as he rips away the reproductive rights of Floridians. It's cruel and despicable. To anyone seeking abortion care, know that you are welcome in New York," Hochul, a Democrat, tweeted on Thursday.

Then the next day, Hochul posted a message to mark Good Friday: "Today I join Christians throughout New York and around the world in observing #GoodFriday. Let us be reminded that even in challenging times, hope and light always lie ahead."

Hochul "was born and raised in a blue-collar Irish Catholic family in Buffalo," according to the biography on her website.

The politician, who previously served as the state's lieutenant governor, became governor last year after Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned. She became the state's first female governor, and is currently seeking election to a full term in office during New York's 2022 gubernatorial contest — she is slated to compete in the Democratic primary.

"In New York, we will never let Republicans turn back the clock on reproductive rights," Hochul tweeted in February.

Last year Hochul indicated that those who remain unvaccinated against COVID-19 are failing to listen to God.

"All of you — yes, I know you're vaccinated, you're the smart ones — but you know there's people out there who aren't listening to God ... You know who they are," she said during remarks at the Christian Cultural Center. "Jesus taught us to love one another," she said, indicating that people should "show that love" by urging others to get vaccinated.

New York governor gets fact-checked after blaming 'a shot from an illegal gun' for murder of NYPD officer

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) was mocked on social media over the weekend after she blamed "a shot from an illegal gun" for killing a New York City police officer on Friday.

What is the background?

Rookie NYPD officer Jason Rivera was murdered and his partner Wilbert Mora critically injured when Lashawn McNeil reportedly opened fire on them in an ambush-style attack. The officers were dispatched to the apartment where McNeil was staying after his mother called 911 and reported a domestic incident.

At the scene, investigators reportedly recovered a Glock .45 pistol that was allegedly reported stolen out of Baltimore, the New York Post reported. McNeil reportedly had a lengthy rap sheet for prior criminal activity and was out on probation at the time of the shooting.

What did Hochul say?

On Saturday, the governor claimed that "a shot from an illegal gun" — not McNeil — took Rivera's life.

"Last night, a shot from an illegal gun took the life of a @NYPDnews officer," Hochul tweeted. "When I say we’re going to do everything we can to stop the scourge of illegal guns in our state, it’s not just talk. We are tripling funding for efforts to get these guns off the streets."

In a video accompanying her tweet, Hochul declared that Rivera's death is a "resounding call to action" on guns, adding that "we have to do more to fight the scourge of illegal guns on our streets." She blamed lenient firearm laws in neighboring states for the alleged incursion of illegal guns into the Empire State.

What was the reaction?

Critics pounced on Hochul and her rush to blame guns for the murder of a police officer that happened allegedly at the hands of a person who should not have had a gun in the first place.

 • "Clueless Kathy: A career criminal you & others like to coddle shot the NYPD cops. You talk tough on guns but NYC prosecutors drop charges on majority of gun crimes. You resist tougher gun crime penalties. Your 'bail reform' is a disaster. Your LG is 'defund the police' Wake up!" Rob Astorino, who is running for governor of New York as a Republican, said.
 • "Guns don’t kill people…. People kill people. And the person is the problem. If it’s not a gun, then it’s some other type of weapon. The problem here is the person. Need to deal with very mean and evil people with weapons," another person said.
 • "We are done with this ideology. The illegal guns will continue to be issues as long as there are bad people who are comfortable with the risk proposition to carry them and use them. NYC has the strictest gun laws in the country. They have some of the most lax bail laws," one person pointed out.
 • "How’d the gun go off? Did it just discharge?" one person mockingly questioned.
 • "Any word on the gun's motive," another person mocked.
 • "The murderer once again had a long arrest record & was repeatedly released from jail. We desperately need to revisit bail reform. It’s impossible to live in NY," one person said.
 • "Im sorry but talking about ending illegal guns right now is bull sh**. It’s not something you can do overnight Do something that will address the criminals. End the ridiculous bail reform that has only made things worse. Sometimes you have to admit when things done work!!!" another person said.
 • "Guns just walking around shooting people on their own? Is this gun related to the SUV that ran over a parade in Waukesha?" one person mocked.
 • "A shot from an illegal gun' fired by a human with an extensive criminal record, right?" another person mocked.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) also seemingly placed partial blame for the murder of Rivera on guns, and he is demanding intervention from federal officials to help curb the influx of guns into the Big Apple.

Cases of Omicron COVID-19 variant reported in multiple states

Cases of the new Omicron COVID-19 variant have been detected in several states around the U.S., including multiple cases in New York.

In addition to the Empire State, Omicron variant cases have also been reported in Hawaii, California, Minnesota, and Colorado.

"New York State has confirmed five cases of the omicron variant," Gov. Kathy Hochul tweeted. "Let me be clear: This is not cause for alarm. We knew this variant was coming and we have the tools to stop the spread. Get your vaccine. Get your booster. Wear your mask."

COVID-19 caused by the Omicron variant was detected in a person in California who had recently been to South Africa, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which said that the person "had mild symptoms that are improving."

A person from Minnesota who had recently traveled to a convention in New York City experienced "mild symptoms" but recovered, according to the CDC.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported a confirmed Omicron case in a person who had recently been to South Africa, but noted that the woman was having only "minor symptoms." She is fully vaccinated but had not gotten a booster shot.

"The COVID-19 positive individual is an O‘ahu resident with moderate symptoms who had previously been infected with COVID-19, but was never vaccinated," according to the Hawaii Department of Health. "This is a case of community spread. The individual has no history of travel."

Gov. Kathy Hochul declares 'disaster emergency' in New York until mid-January over omicron despite no cases of new variant in the US yet

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a "disaster emergency" for the state in anticipation of the newly-identified omicron variant of COVID-19.

The Democratic governor declared a state of emergency for the entire state of New York through Jan. 15, 2022, when it will be evaluated if the order needs to be extended. The previous coronavirus-related state of emergency was enacted by former Gov. Andrew Cuomo from March 7, 2020, until June 24, 2021.

Hochul admitted that there have yet to be any omicron variant cases in New York state.

"We continue to see warning signs of spikes in COVID this winter, and while the new Omicron variant has yet to be detected in New York State, it's coming," Hochul tweeted on Friday. "Today I signed an Executive Order to help @HealthNYGov boost hospital capacity ahead of potential spikes. Through this action, we will also be able to acquire critical supplies more quickly to combat the pandemic. I urge New Yorkers to take advantage of our greatest weapon in this pandemic: the vaccine. Get vaccinated and get the booster as soon as you are able."

The official New York state government website stated, "For samples of SARS-CoV-2 collected between November 7 and November 20, 2021 from New York State that are sequenced and entered into Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza Data (GISAID), 100% were the Delta variant."

The state of emergency order enables Holchul to "temporarily suspend or modify any statute, local law, ordinance, order, rule, or regulation, or parts thereof, of any agency during a State disaster emergency, if compliance with such statute, local law, ordinance, order, rule, or regulation would prevent, hinder, or delay action necessary to cope with the disaster emergency or if necessary to assist or aid in coping with such disaster."

Under the executive order, non-essential procedures and elective surgeries can be postponed in order to increase hospital capacity.

Hochul is concerned about hospital capacity because medical care employees were forced out of the healthcare industry because of New York's vaccine mandate. Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Aug. 16 that "all healthcare workers in New York State, including staff at hospitals and long-term care facilities (LTCF), including nursing homes, adult care, and other congregate care settings, will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Monday, September 27."

On Long Island, Mount Sinai South Nassau medical center temporarily closed earlier this week due to nursing staff shortages, according to WABC-TV.

Earlier this month, Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse announced it was temporarily closing 20% of patient beds due to an ongoing shortage of nurses, WSTM-TV reported.

Catholic Health's Mercy Hospital of Buffalo announced on Nov. 18, that it was expected to close until Jan. 3, 2022, because of "continued healthcare staffing shortages across the region and a sharp rise in COVID-19 patients at area hospitals."

In September, Holchul threatened to replace COVID-19 vaccine-hesitant healthcare workers with foreigners by working with the Department of State.

According to New York data, the state has a 7-day average of 34 cases per 100,000.

Of New Yorkers over the age of 18, there are 90% who have had one COVID-19 vaccine dose, and 80% who are fully vaccinated.

The omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 was first discovered in southern Africa in Botswana and South Africa.

Dr. Angelique Coetzee — chair of the South African Medical Association and physician of 33 years — explained it is too early to go into panic mode over omicron.

"It's all speculation at this stage," Coetzee told The Guardian. "It may be it's highly transmissible, but so far the cases we are seeing are extremely mild. Maybe two weeks from now I will have a different opinion, but this is what we are seeing. So are we seriously worried? No. We are concerned and we watch what's happening. But for now we're saying, 'OK: there's a whole hype out there. [We're] not sure why.'"

On Saturday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said no cases of the omicron variant had been diagnosed in the U.S., but it could be here already.

"I would not be surprised if it is," President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser told NBC's "Weekend Today."

"We have not detected it yet, but when you have a virus that is showing this degree of transmissibility and you're already having travel-related cases that they've noted in Israel and Belgium and other places, when you have a virus like this, it almost invariably is ultimately going to go essentially all over," Fauci added.

The Biden administration instituted a travel ban for travelers from eight African countries in fear of the omicron variant.

How does petty leftist Kathy Griffin get back at pro-Trump citizen who called her 'despicable'? By reporting citizen to FBI.

Left-wing celebrities typically ignore Twitter posts criticizing them. After all, who really cares, and who has the time?

But Kathy Griffin apparently is still living life on the D-list — and would appear to have plenty of free space on her calendar to joust with regular folk.

What happened?

Danielle McCarty – aka "Muscle Mommy Fit" and "Fit Patriot Mom" online – blasted Griffin on Jan. 9 as "despicable" for tweeting an image with a plastic severed head that looked like former President Donald Trump and the message, "Just resign now. You lost. It[']s over," LGBTQ Nation reported.

Regarding that severed head image, who can forget Griffin posing with a bloody, decapitated Trump head during a 2017 photo shoot, after which she apologized in the wake of massive backlash? The stunt earned her a visit from the Secret Service. Later that year Griffin took back her apology.

Anyway, Griffin apparently deleted her tweet that angered McCarty — but the Trump-hating comic wasn't about to endure criticism from the all-powerful "Fit Patriot Mom" without fighting back in front of her 2.1 million followers:

Oh, you shouldn’t have tagged me. You were there on Jan 6. You pulled your video, but I found it. Looks like you’re… https://t.co/X8WwarIznJ
— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1612046781.0

"Oh, you shouldn't have tagged me," Griffin tweeted back at McCarty. "You were there on Jan 6. You pulled your video, but I found it. Looks like you're a domestic terrorist and now we all know it, @musclemommyfit."

By "there," Griffin meant the Capitol riots.

LBGTQ Nation said someone then sent Griffin an archived copy of a video McCarty posted to Parler showing her in front of the Capitol wearing a red "TRUMP" hat.

With that, Griffin tweeted the following:

Hi Danielle. @musclemommyfit What’s that you called me, again? Ah yes, the despicable Kathy Griffin. Well, the FBI… https://t.co/1FUKWVM6oT
— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1612061418.0

"Hi Danielle. @musclemommyfit," Griffin began. "What's that you called me, again? Ah yes, the despicable Kathy Griffin. Well, the FBI now has this video, as well as the other ones you're featured in."

Here's one of the clips:

Danielle McCarty at Capitol insurrection youtu.be

"We got teargassed when we were in the middle of a prayer," McCarty said in the video. "We weren't even trying to rush the cops or anything. We were kneeling down and praying."

Of course, there's no evidence from the above clip that McCarty entered the Capitol — she's merely standing outside.

But was Griffin done? Not a chance. After all, she had to utterly vanquish a woman who dared call her "despicable." So Griffin dug into McCarty's Instagram and tweeted images from it:

Oh Danielle. https://t.co/uUeSCgVQVY
— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1612056614.0

What now?

McCarty's Twitter account – @musclemommyfit – has since been deleted, LBGTQ Nation reported, adding that her Instagram account is now private.

Griffin, on the other hand, still appears to be in a lather over McCarty's insolence, posting another tweet with other social media addresses where she says McCarty can be found.

Anything else?

As readers of TheBlaze know all too well, Griffin's Trump hatred — even beyond the severed head deal — is legendary:

Twitter troll tricks Democrats into being outraged over Maxine Waters' 'dangerous' quote against Trump administration

Democrats are completely outraged over a fake quote from Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters. A Twitter troll replaced Waters' original tweet that targeted Trump administration staffers with Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Democrats took the bait and called Waters' words "dangerous" and many said it was "inciting violence."

In June 2018, Waters delivered a fiery speech where she called for members of the "Resistance" to harass staffers of the Trump administration.

"History will record while he tried to step on all of us, we kicked him in his rear and step on him," Waters bellowed. "If you think we're rallying now, you ain't seen nothin' yet!"

"Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants...who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, 'No peace, no sleep! No peace, no sleep!" Waters said, referencing Trump's former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen being intimidated by socialists at a Mexican restaurant.

"God is on our side," Waters proclaimed. "Let's stay the course!"

"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," she yelled to rile the crowd into a frenzy.

Waters then zeroed in on then-President Donald Trump, "Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this!"

Maxine Waters @ Keep Families Together: Protest Rally and Toy Drive www.youtube.com

Twitter user @CuomoWatch took a portion of the congresswoman's speech, but altered it slightly to target the Cuomo administration instead of Trump's Cabinet.

"If you see anybody from the Cuomo Administration in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere," the now-viral tweet said.

Democrats, who are obviously not familiar with Waters' tempestuous tirade, immediately condemned the threatening words, likely assuming the menacing comments were made by Republicans or Trump supporters.

New York Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) fell for the fake quote, "This is encouraging violence against public officials - plain & simple. Absolutely disgusting. No tolerance for this. Haven't we learned the lessons from Washington D.C. just weeks ago?"

Former Pete Buttigieg adviser Lis Smith wrote, "Way way way over the line. Especially in light of what happened at the Capitol on Jan 6."

Democratic New York City Councilwoman Debi Rose reacted by saying, "Really? Did we not learn anything from the Capitol insurrection? We must condemn violence and harassment in any form. #StopTheViolence #MobMentality."

Democratic City Council Member Keith Powers said, "There are plenty of strong opinions and online angst these days, but there is no place for inciting violence or threatening people. This tweet should be removed ASAP. Full stop."

Democratic Senator for the 36th District of the New York Senate Jamaal T. Bailey tweeted, "This is more than tonedeaf, especially considering what's happened in recent days. This is unacceptable and ridiculous. Read the room."

Democratic member of the New York State Assembly Daniel Rosenthal said, "This is dangerous and unacceptable, especially after what happened in DC. Encouraging this kind of violence is unacceptable."

Democratic County Executive of Suffolk County Steve Bellone declared, "Democrats and Republicans must denounce this threat of violence against our fellow New Yorkers. After the Capitol riots, I call on @Twitter to ban this account immediately."

Former Democratic Speaker of the New York City Council Christine Quinn exclaimed, "This is dangerous and outrageous!"

Democratic County Executive of Nassau County Laura Curran was also fooled by the fake quote, "No matter your political party or beliefs, this is completely unacceptable. Nassau County has zero tolerance for hatred and inciting violence."

Democratic Speaker of the New York State Assembly Carl E. Heastie wrote, "This is appalling and dangerous. Encouraging violence must never be tolerated. Shame on whoever is behind this kind of garbage."

Democratic Assembly Member for the 42nd District of the New York State Assembly Rodneyse Bichotte was duped, "Threatening government officials & their staff is a crime for which there is a ZERO tolerance policy in Brooklyn & anywhere else. I condemn this tweet & the violence it incites, especially following the insurrection we just experienced at the capitol."

Democratic Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan wrote on Twitter, "This kind of dangerous rhetoric must be called out and condemned by all. Or else we risk repeating the horrendous events of Jan 6th. As leaders, especially in a time of such great challenge, it's incumbent on all of us to appeal to the 'better angels of our nature."

Democratic member of the New York State Senate Todd Kaminsky said, "Completely unacceptable. Haven't we learned the hard lesson that incitements to violence like this actually result in violence? There is no room for this in our discourse. None."

Luis A. Miranda, Jr. said, "You don't like the Governor, you vote him out. After the terrorist attack on our Capitol, threats, of any kind, especially as the right is targeting state capitals, are dangerous. And to target staff? Not cool."

Democratic Speaker of the New York City Council Corey Johnson stated, "The terrifying events of the last month have shown us more clearly than ever that words have consequences. This sort of targeting and incitement is simply wrong, and totally unacceptable."

Candace Owens hits back after social media slams her for blasting pop star Harry Styles' ball gown Vogue photo shoot

Conservative commentator and activist Candace Owens took fire from much of social media after blasting a Vogue photo shoot featuring ball gown-clad pop star Harry Styles.

What are the details?

On Saturday, Owens shared photos from the shoot and captioned it, "There is no society that can survive without strong men. The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men."

For his part, Styles was quoted as telling the long-running fashion magazine, "There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I've never thought too much about what it means — it just becomes this extended part of creating something."

Elsewhere in the fashion profile, Styles added, "Now I'll put on something that feels really flamboyant, and I don't feel crazy wearing it. I think if you get something that you feel amazing in, it's like a superhero outfit. Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with. What's really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away. When you take away 'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women,' once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play."

What was the reaction?

Actress Olivia Wilde shredded Owens for her remarks, simply responding, "You're pathetic."

Dr. Eugene Gu, founder and CEO of CoolQuit.com, wrote, "Harry Styles wearing a dress doesn't threaten anyone's masculinity except for those who pay such close attention to the cover of Vogue magazine that they have to cry and scream on social media like overly emotional snowflakes and then falsely accuse Harry of destroying society."

After her initial remarks went viral, Owens shared a follow-up tweet about the attention, writing, "Since I'm trending I'd like to clarify what I meant when I said 'bring back manly men.' I meant: Bring back manly men. Terms like 'toxic masculinity,' were created by toxic females. Real women don't do fake feminism. Sorry I'm not sorry."

Celebrities attack Trump voters: Janelle Monae says every American who supported Trump should 'burn'

Celebrities reacted to the close 2020 presidential election by lashing out at Americans who voted for President Donald Trump, denouncing them as racists and sexists.

Actress and singer Janelle Monáe went on a rant where she lambasted the nearly 70 million Americans who voted for President Donald Trump in the election. Monáe said that every person who supported President Trump should "burn."

In a now-deleted tweet, Monáe shared a photo on Twitter of her giving the middle finger in a selfie with the caption, "F*** Donald Tromp and every American citizen, celebrity, white woman, black man, ETC who supported him burnnnnnnnnnn,"

In another since-deleted tweet, Monáe said, "I'm not going down the list for y'all you do the research and see who gave him millions of votes."

Monáe shared a tweet that read, "I'm never forgiving Trump voters and that doesn't make me a bad person."

The actress added, "NEVER OR those who endorsed him."

On Election Day, the leftist entertainer shared a tweet that read, "ELECTORAL COLLEGE IS RACIST BULLS*** AND SHOULD BE ABOLISHED."

Monáe, who came out as "pansexual" in 2018, has been a supporter of Democratic politicians. Monáe gave a performance at CarolinaFest in support of former President Barack Obama in 2012.

Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams tapped Monáe to create an original song for her 2020 documentary "All in All: The Fight for Democracy."

Monáe thanked Abrams, who wasn't running in the 2020 election, by saying on Thursday, "WE OWE YOU SO MUCH!!!! You make America GREAT!"

Monáe has been highly critical of President Trump. In July 2019, Monáe demanded that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) impeach President Trump.

"I'm dead ass convinced this idiot racist could kill someone on Twitter live in the WH west wing & u guys would be like 'when he kills someone he reaffirms his message of division. We have to work together to reflect BLAH,'" she wrote on Twitter. "CALL 4 IMPEACHMENT Speaker Pelosi ... Stop dragging this OUT."

Monáe also ranted, "HE HAS BEEN A XENOPHOBIC RACIST … AND he is MENTALLY UNFIT to be PRESIDENT."

"The Republican Party has wanted a pawn to carry out their agenda & help do their dirty work for a while," she tweeted. "This is why the racists, sexists, white nationalists, white supremacists, etc that make up that party won't call 4 impeachment . #RacistInChief is ALSO a PAWN"

Other celebrities voiced disdain to the over 69 million Americans voted for President Trump in the 2020 presidential election, including actor Dave Bautista, Demi Lovato, Wesley Snipes, Kathy Griffin, Josh Gad, and John Cusack. Some celebrities attacked Americans who voted for Trump, claiming that people who endorsed the incumbent president are supporting racism, sexism, and fascism.
