'It's ridiculous': Buck reportedly rejects the idea he's resigning to hurt Boebert's election bid

Republican Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado has reportedly rejected the idea that his decision to depart from office was meant to hurt GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert's bid for the House seat he currently occupies.

"It's ridiculous," Buck said, according to the Colorado Sun. "I'm not giving anybody an advantage or disadvantage," he said, according to the outlet. "I have done my very best to stay out of this primary election."

Buck, who announced last year that he would not seek re-election, announced in a statement earlier this week that he will "depart Congress at the end of next week."

Boebert, who currently represents Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, is running in the primary for the state's 4th Congressional District, which Buck currently occupies. Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Boebert for the seat.

"Ken Buck's announcement yesterday was a gift to the uniparty," Boebert tweeted on Wednesday. "The establishment concocted a swampy backroom deal to try to rig an election I'm winning by 25 points. Forcing an unnecessary Special Election on the same day as the Primary Election will confuse voters, result in a lameduck Congressman on day one, and leave the 4th District with no representation for more than three months."

Buck was one of the eight House Republicans who voted in favor of ousting then-Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the House speakership last year. And last month, Buck was one of the three House Republicans who voted against impeaching Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas.

Republican Rep. Ken Buck announces he's leaving office 'at the end of next week'

Republican Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado, who announced last year that he would not seek re-election, has now announced that he plans to leave office at the end of next week.

"Today, I am announcing that I will depart Congress at the end of next week. I look forward to staying involved in our political process, as well as spending more time in Colorado and with my family," the lawmaker said in a statement.

Buck, whose resignation will be effective at the end of Friday, March 22, will depart from Congress around nine months before the end of his term.

Last year, Buck was one of the eight House Republicans who voted to oust then-Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the House speakership. McCarthy, a Republican from California, ultimately chose to depart from Congress before the end of term.

This year, Buck was one of the three House Republicans who voted against impeaching Department of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas.

"This place just keeps going downhill," Buck said, adding that he does not need to spend his time there.

Buck has represented Colorado's 4th Congressional District since early 2015.

GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert, who currently represents Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, announced last year that she would run to represent the state's 4th Congresssional District. Former President Donald Trump has backed Boebert's bid, declaring earlier this month in a post on Truth Social that the congresswoman "has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Colorado's 4th Congressional District!"

"It’s my honor to have the endorsement of the greatest President our country has ever known - Donald J. Trump," Boebert tweeted.

Corporate Media Take Vow Of Silence On Biden 25th Amendment Talk

It’s amazing to think how radio silent the accomplice media have been on the subject of the 25th Amendment over the past few years.

Ken Buck introduces resolution calling for Kamala Harris to seek invocation of 25th Amendment against Biden

Republican Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado has put forward a resolution that calls for Vice President Kamala Harris to seek the invocation of the 25th Amendment against President Joe Biden.

The resolution states that the House calls for Harris "to immediately use her powers under section 4 of the 25th Amendment to convene and mobilize the principal officers of the executive departments in the Cabinet to declare what is obvious to a horrified Nation: That the President is unable to successfully discharge the duties and powers of his office."

The resolution says that the House calls for Harris "to transmit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate notice that she will immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President."

The resolution, which points out that Biden is the oldest president in the nation's history, says, among other things, that the president "has been televised wandering aimlessly at events," "frequently speaks publicly in an incoherent and indiscernible manner," and "has repeatedly fallen while walking up stairs."

Biden, who is currently aiming for re-election, would be 86 years old by the end of a second term in office.

Buck, who has been in office since 2015, is not seeking re-election this year.

Earlier this month, Buck was one of the House Republicans who voted against impeaching Department of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas. Last year, Buck was one of the House Republicans who joined Democrats in voting to oust then-Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the House speakership.

"President Biden has proven that he is no longer fit for office. His cognitive decline and lack of mental stamina has been both public and undeniable. I call on Biden’s Cabinet to constitutionally remove him from office, using the 25th Amendment," Buck declared in a social media post.

Section four of the 25th Amendment states, in part, "Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President."

Republicans Would Rather Remain Beautiful Losers Than Win

Just like abortion, health care, and spending, Republicans don’t want to actually deal with the border.
