Emergency management policy expert shines light on the Helene problem NO ONE is talking about

These days, the well-being of Americans seems to be at the bottom of our government’s priority list. Foreign wars and the millions of illegal immigrants who have invaded our country suck up U.S. dollars by the billions, leaving needy Americans in a state of hopelessness.

The most recent example of this includes the victims of Hurricane Helene. FEMA claims it’s out of funds. It showed up a week after the storm ravaged the coastline. Then, it offered a pitiful $750 to families who had lost everything despite giving far more than that to illegal immigrants. There’s even reports of FEMA actively thwarting the private sector’s efforts to fill the gap.

What gives? Why does it seem like the plight of Americans is met with hostility from emergency services?

Amy LePore, a policy expert on the increased federalization of emergency management in the U.S., recently spoke with Matt Kibbe about this issue. Her take is that the public is misled in thinking that the federal government is prepared to respond when disaster strikes.

While there are many reasons for this, there’s one in particular Amy says is especially problematic: States aren’t passing the Defend the Guard Act.

“There are resources stationed in many states, which have the training and capacity to respond to disaster, and half the time, they’re deployed to the Middle East,” she told Kibbe and pointed to the Tennessee legislature that did not pass the Defend the Guard Act, which would prohibit the deployment of the National Guard overseas unless Congress has formally declared war.

One day before Helene hit, Tennessee’s National Guard was deployed to Kuwait and was therefore unable to assist the hurricane victims.

“The Defend the Guard bill has been in 30 legislatures and has passed in three states but in three chambers only,” Amy explains, adding that what we really need “is a brave state.”

“I think all it is going to take is one state (maybe that state will be Tennessee) who takes this seriously, who can get it passed in both chambers. And I think there will be a domino effect in other brave states,” she says.

To hear more about the Defend the Guard bill and the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to bring our troops home so that they are positioned to support Americans, watch the clip above.

BlazeTV debuts damning docuseries exposing COVID origins 'coverup' ahead of Fauci hearing

There was a concerted public-private campaign during the pandemic to downplay the strong likelihood that COVID-19 — a virus that would go on to kill millions worldwide — did not originate in the controversial Chinese communist lab that long engaged in dangerous experiments on coronaviruses with the help of U.S. taxpayer dollars.

While the Chinese communist regime did its part to bury evidence of a potential lab leak as the virus was first spreading, then-director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci ultimately did the heavy lifting in terms of narrative curation.

Anthony Fauci and the virologists in his orbit worked feverishly to suggest that the virus had a zoonotic origin, concealing their own doubts about that possibility while denigrating those who would suggest otherwise.

There was cause, after all, for them to engage in revisionism and propaganda. Elements of the Western medical establishment admittedly didn't want to alienate China by assigning it any blame over the deaths of multitudes of Americans, and Fauci had his fingerprints on the American grant money poured into dangerous work at the Wuhan Institute of Virology via disgraced zoologist Peter Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance — whose gain-of-function subcontractor was ostensibly among the patients zero who took ill in late 2019.

The lab-leak theory was censored on social media, especially on Facebook, which directly coordinated with Fauci. Talk show hosts, talking heads, and once respected newspapers dutifully parroted the approved talking points.

Yet, not all were convinced in Washington, D.C., the media, and the medical establishment — certainly not Stanford University's Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, epidemiologist and co-author of the "Great Barrington Declaration," and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

Both Bhattacharya and Paul are among those featured in "The Coverup," a new documentary series presented by Blaze Media and Free the People, which debuts today on BlazeTV.

"The Coverup" explores the evolution of the Fauci-anointed COVID-19 origins narrative, the corresponding censorship campaign, various underlying motives and vested interests, and the ultimate breakdown of truth, breaking new ground and making Fauci's job of spinning yarns before Congress next week all the more difficult.

'You would go down in history as one of the world's greatest monsters.'

In BlazeTV host Matthew B. Kibbe's deep-dive in the first episode of the series, entitled "Dissident," he speaks to Bhattacharya about the research agenda that set the stage for the deadly outbreak and assesses what was at stake for the powers that be — and for Fauci in particular — where narrative control was concerned.

"He's in a tough position," said Bhattacharya. "If people understand that what has happened the last three-and-a-half years in the COVID pandemic is potentially, maybe even actually, a result of this kind of research agenda and Fauci was one of its champions, he is in a very tough spot."

"Millions and millions of people have died. Economies have been devastated," continued Bhattacharya. "The poor of the world, children, vulnerable people have been hurt by this mad science experiment. ... You would go down in history as one of the world's greatest monsters."

Later in the episode, Bhattacharya discusses the nature of the infrastructure shoring up the deadly research agenda as well as the possible link between officials' cognizance of a possible lab leak and the draconian COVID protocols they ultimately promoted.

Extra to speaking to Dr. Bhattacharya and Sen. Paul in the series, in subsequent episodes, Kibbe gleans troubling insights from White House Coronavirus Task Force insiders about the early commitment to the zoonotics origin narrative, from journalists censored for asking questions, and from those working to hold the apparent architects of the pandemic responsible in its aftermath.

Republicans win control of the House of Representatives, ending Democratic control of Congress

Several news outlets projected on Wednesday that the Republican Party had won narrow control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

The results were delayed by more than a week because of the slim margins of victory some representatives-elect gained and how long many states took to count their ballots.

CBS, CNN, the Associated Press, and NBC all projected Republicans would win with more than the 218 seats needed to have a House majority, possibly possessing 221 seats, by one estimate.

Although Republicans won the House, the results of the elections were a great disappointment in general after many polls and pundits predicted a "red wave" of Republican victories. Some predicted that the GOP might even take control of the U.S. Senate, but those hopes have been dashed.

One Senate seat in Georgia was forced into a runoff election, which will determine if the Democrats will have outright control of the legislative body or if it will be split evenly between the two parties.

President Joe Biden, a Democrat, responded to the Republican takeover with a brief statement.

"Last week's elections demonstrated the strength and resilience of American democracy. There was a strong rejection of election deniers, political violence, and intimidation. There was an emphatic statement that, in America, the will of the people prevails," wrote Biden in part.

"The American people want us to get things done for them. They want us to focus on the issues that matter to them and on making their lives better," he added. "And I will work with anyone - Republican or Democrat - willing to work with me to deliver results for them."

The runoff election between Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican candidate Herschel Walker to decide Georgia's seat in the U.S. Senate will be held on December 6.

RAND PAUL: If you want people to get vaccinated, try honesty

In this clip, "Kibbe on Liberty" host Matt Kibbe sat down with Sen. Rand Paul and discussed a different approach that might actually result in more at-risk people getting vaccinated. According to Rand, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House chief medical adviser, has been tactical in his dishonest narrative about natural immunity in an effort to get more people vaccinated.

Rand said that Fauci is sharing a noble lie about natural immunity because he is afraid it might deter people. But Rand explained he believes the opposite might be true and he suggested that it's actually the continual stream of lies that has led so many people not to trust the government. He went on to say that a better way to persuade people to get the shot would be to treat them with honesty.

Kibbe added that people are self-interested, and if they are shown show that the vaccination will help them, they will do it as long as they don't feel they are being forced or lied to.

'NO compromising with the GOP cult': Robert Reich demands action against 'conspiracy-fueled, hate-filled' right

Former Labor Secretary and University of California at Berkeley professor Robert Reich accused the Republican Party of becoming a "white supremacist cult" of Donald Trump's making, but Reich isn't alone with the conservative bashing. A NYT op-ed called for conservative networks to be put on trial for inciting an insurrection, while the leftists at Media Matters released a flawed report touting that Fox News is a study in misinformation and propaganda, BlazeTV host Mark Levin said on a recent episode of "LevinTV."

Levin shared several key quotes from a YouTube video in which Reich claims there's "no compromising with the GOP cult" because the Republican Party has become a fringe-right, "conspiracy-fueled, hate-filled" cult.

"I keep hearing that Joe Biden has to govern from the 'center.' He has no choice, they say, because he has razor-thin majorities in Congress and the Republican Party has moved to the right. Well, that's rubbish. First, there is no 'center' between the reality-based world and the conspiracy-fueled, hate-filled world of today's Republican Party," Reich said.

"Second, the problems the country is facing cannot be solved with milquetoast, centrist solutions – they demand immediate, bold action. I've been in or around politics for 50 years. I've served several Democratic presidents who have needed Republican votes. But the Republicans now in Congress are nothing like those I've dealt with. Today's Republican Party is a cult," Reich stated.

"All of this marks the culmination of the GOP's growing lunacy over the last four years," he added. "With Trump at its head, the Republican Party has embraced blatant white supremacy, and now inhabits a counterfactual wonderland of lies and conspiracies ... with this Republican Party, Biden cannot be a 'centrist'."

Levin countered Reich's claims, showing viewers how he's been using his propagandist platform to push "the big Democrat lie," while ignoring the radical ideas the left uses to trash the Constitution.
