Democratic strategist Kurt Bardella tweets, 'How long until Republicans start floating policies to impose a dress code on women'

Kurt Bardella, who indicates that he is a Democratic strategist, posted a tweet on Monday suggesting that the GOP may eventually start advocating for a dress code for women.

"How long until Republicans start floating policies to impose a dress code on women …" Bardella tweeted.

Christina Pushaw, who stepped down last month from her role as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' press secretary and became the rapid response director for the governor's campaign, responded to Bardella by declaring, "The only people calling to mandate face coverings are Democrats."

Tim Carney, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, tweeted, "I'm pretty sure the party mandating face coverings this decade wasn't the gop."

Mary Margaret Olohan of the Daily Signal tweeted "what is a women," in response to Bardella's comment.

Bardella has previously claimed that that the GOP is a "domestic terrorist cell."

"The Republican Party, the MAGA Republicans, are a domestic terrorist cell operating in America," he said during an appearance on MSNBC.

The death of a young woman, who died not long after being arrested by morality police in the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been the subject of international attention, with some Iranians engaging in protest.

CNN chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour noted last week that she had been scheduled to interview Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in New York, but that the interview fell through after she refused to acquiesce to a sudden demand that she don a headscarf.

"I politely declined. We are in New York, where there is no law or tradition regarding headscarves. I pointed out that no previous Iranian president has required this when I have interviewed them outside Iran," Amanpour noted. "The aide made it clear that the interview would not happen if I did not wear a headscarf. He said it was 'a matter of respect,' and referred to 'the situation in Iran' - alluding to the protests sweeping the country," Amanpour added.

DNC and DCCC adviser Kurt Bardella describes 'MAGA Republicans' as 'a domestic terrorist cell'

Kurt Bardella, who indicates that he is an advisor to the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, has described "MAGA Republicans" as "a domestic terrorist cell."

"MAGA" is an acronym for former President Trump's well-known campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."

"The Republican Party, the MAGA Republicans, are a domestic terrorist cell operating in America," Bardella said during an appearance on MSNBC. He said that whenever there is "a group ... devoted to using violent rhetoric, extreme means, to incite violence against other people that is terrorism."

\u201cWhere's the lie?\n\n"The MAGA Republicans are a domestic terrorist cell operating in America. This is a group of people who have decided that it is acceptable to use violence & threats of violence to try to achieve their political means...that is terrorism."\n\n@AymanMSNBC @AymanM\u201d
— Kurt Bardella (@Kurt Bardella) 1661821830

But that was not the only time Bardella has employed that type of inflammatory terminology about Republicans. "They are basically a domestic terrorist cell operating within America. Their goal is to end democracy," he said during another MSNBC appearance.

President Biden has said that "extreme MAGA philosophy" is "like semi-fascism."

He has also claimed that "MAGA Republicans have awakened" American women. People on social media dragged the president for the comment, with some pointing out that liberals struggle to define the meaning of the word "woman."

Biden is slated to deliver a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Thursday in which he will discuss how rights are supposedly under assault in the country. NBC News White House correspondent Mike Memoli reported that an official said Biden "will talk about the progress we have made as a nation to protect our democracy, but how our rights and freedoms are still under attack. And he will make clear who is fighting for those rights, fighting for those freedoms, and fighting for our democracy."

The November midterm election is approaching, and Democrats are hoping to cling to control of both chambers of Congress. In the Senate, there are currently 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats, and a couple of independents who caucus with the Democrats. Vice President Kamala Harris can break ties in the chamber.

House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy threatens action against Maxine Waters as calls to punish her mount after she allegedly incites protesters

Calls to punish Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) have mounted after she called for protesters and activists to "get more confrontational" on Minnesota's streets if former police officer Derek Chauvin is not convicted for murder in the death of George Floyd.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also promised to bring action against her if Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) chooses not to act.

What are the details?

During a Saturday appearance in Brooklyn Center, Waters said, "We're looking for a guilty verdict. We're looking for a guilty verdict. And we're looking to see if all of this ... that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd. If nothing does not happen, then we know that we've got to not only stay in the street, but we've got to fight for justice, but I am very hopeful and I hope that we're going to get a verdict that will say 'guilty, guilty, guilty.' And if we don't, we cannot go away."

She added that activists must "stay on the street" if Chauvin is not convicted and insisted that demonstrators have to "get more active."

"[We've] got to get more confrontational," the Democratic lawmaker insisted. "[We've] got to make sure that they know we mean business."

What has been the response?

In a statement, the New York Post editorial board said that the California congresswoman was "trying to create a civil war" and that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) ought to strip Waters of her committee assignments and "move for a vote to remove Waters from office."

A lengthy op-ed added, "In supporting the second impeachment of President Trump, California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters said he was 'inciting' his followers, and was 'trying to create a Civil War.'"

"By her own standards, Maxine Waters should be impeached and removed," the board noted.

Other notable voices included Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who said that Democrats were "actively encouraging riots & violence."

"They want to tear us apart," he added.

Left-wing journalist wants to 'find an anti-masker and beat them to death,' says 'F***ING "Christians"' who don't wear masks will 'burn in hell'

Left-wing journalist Kurt Eichenwald tweeted that he wants "to find an anti-masker and beat them to death" and that "F***ING 'Christians'" who don't wear masks because they believe God is "saving" them from COVID-19 are "what Jesus condemns" and will "burn in hell."

What are the details?

Eichenwald — a New York Times bestselling author who in 2017 wished death on family members of Republican officials who voted for "Trumpcare" — tweeted Wednesday that "it's at a moment like this that I want to find an anti-masker and beat them to death. Since they believe they have the right to kill others, they have surrendered any right to object. #CategoricalImperative."

While his sentiment was removed from Twitter for violating terms of service, TheBlaze's Sara Gonzales caught an eyeful of it:

These people are genuinely nuts. https://t.co/CXBUGc20Hp
— Sara Gonzales (@Sara Gonzales)1609396576.0

Eichenwald later added that he's "not planning to kill anyone" but "as the misery descends on our family again, it is hard not to contemplate violence against those who don't care if they kill."

A day later Eichenwald tweeted, "I have so much hate in my heart tonight. My sister, widowed by COVID, has COVID because of anti-maskers. About 4,000 died today; GOP says nothing. [Missouri Republican U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley] & his ilk are working to harm America. I wish them & their loved ones all the pain & misery they inflicted on this country."

When a Twitter user asked, "Anti-maskers did this? How do people who wear masks get it then?" Eichenwald dug his claws in: "Because you F***ING MORON, masks primarily protect other people. And since 40% of the infected are asymptomatic , the ones without masks are spreading the disease because they don't give a S**T about killing others. You are either STILL uninformed or too stupid to care."

He also tweeted that he doesn't care about children left orphaned by parents who don't use masks and put others at risk: "If someone is willing to leave the children of innocents without parents, I don't care if their own kids are orphans. Reap what they sew [sic]. It shouldn't just be the innocent that suffer."

'F***ING "Christians'" ... 'burn in hell'

Eichenwald also blasted "F***ING 'Christians'" who don't wear masks because they believe God is "saving" them from COVID-19, declaring that they are "what Jesus condemns" and will "burn in hell."

"You F***ing 'Christians' who preen about God saving you from COVID so you don't need masks. You're what Jesus condemns," he said. "You kill with hypocrisy. Read Matthew 25:41-46. If you realize the Bible is about more than hating gays, you'll realize: For your selfishness, you'll burn in hell."

Anything else?

In the wake of Eichenwald's removed tweet saying he wants to beat an anti-masker to death, he later claimed Twitter was out of line:

— Kurt "Masks Save Lives" Eichenwald (@Kurt "Masks Save Lives" Eichenwald)1609435485.0

But numerous users weren't buying it, such as one who replied, "Your account should be locked you f***stick. You claim to want to beat [an] 'anti-masker' to death but I'm pretty sure you lack the f***ing stones you smug f***. Self important jackasses like you are the biggest virus yet."
