Rep. Lauren Boebert wins Republican primary in Colorado's 4th Congressional District

Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado won the Republican primary for U.S. House in Colorado's 4th Congressional District, defeating other candidates in the contest.

The congresswoman, who has represented Colorado's 3rd Congressional District since 2021, announced late last year that she would run in the state's 4th Congressional District.

'Colorado, please support my friend and Freedom Caucus colleague @laurenboebert tonight.'

Former President Donald Trump had endorsed Boebert.

"Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is a Proven Conservative and Effective Leader who delivers for Colorado, and our America First agenda. She has led the fight to Impeach Joe Biden, Stop Illegal Immigration, Defend the Second Amendment, Protect our Wonderful Ranchers and Farmers, Support our Military and Veterans, Secure our Natural Resources to Pursue Energy Dominance, and Stand Up to the Radical Democrats who want to Destroy our Beautiful Country. Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is a trusted America First Fighter, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Colorado’s 4th Congressional District!" Trump declared on Truth Social.

GOP Rep. Chip Roy of Texas urged voters to vote for Boebert, tweeting on Tuesday, "Colorado, please support my friend and Freedom Caucus colleague @laurenboebert tonight."

Boebert has a 91% Heritage Action session score.

Earlier this year, the congresswoman suffered "severe swelling in her upper left leg," and a blood clot was discovered, her campaign noted in a statement. "After undergoing a CT Scan, doctors found an acute blood clot and diagnosed her with May-Thurner Syndrome," the statement read. "Doctors recommended and scheduled a surgery, which was successfully completed ... to remove the clot and insert a stent that will address the Congresswoman's symptoms."

NBC analyst demands Tucker Carlson, Lauren Boebert face 'consequences' for Club Q massacre

NBC News analyst Frank Figliuzzi demanded on Monday that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Fox News host Tucker Carlson be held partially responsible for the attack at Club Q, an LGBT nightclub in Colorado Springs.

Wait, what?

Speaking on MSNBC, Figliuzzi encouraged the families of the Club Q victims to take action against people like Boebert and Carlson, whom Figliuzzi suggested are partially responsible for the tragedy.

"Prosecutors and police, they found quickly what they needed. That means they know this was a biased crime," Figliuzzi said. "This is likely since we've heard reports that the subject isn't cooperative with police, that means they likely found clear and convincing evidence on his devices."

Authorities have charged the suspected perpetrator with hate crimes, but accusations, of course, are not declarations of guilt. That is something that Figliuzzi, a trained lawyer and career FBI official, should know, yet he declared the crime "biased" anyway.

"If he's a consumer of the people we just rattled of — from Lauren Boebert to Tucker Carlson — let's get it out. Let's get it out at trial, let's expose it for what it is, name it, and shame it," Figliuzzi continued.

"He's a consumer of these people and those people should face civil consequences from the victims," he declared.

There is no evidence, in fact, that the perpetrator is a "consumer" of Boebert and Carlson.

“MSNBC analyst Frank Figliuzzi calls for @LaurenBoebert, #Tucker Carlson, @FoxNews, and others to face charges in civil court for causing the mass shooting at the Colorado Springs gay nightclub.

He adds teaching "young children" about sex will "put a stop to hate."”
— Curtis Houck (@Curtis Houck) 1669067618

What about the law?

While Figliuzzi did not clarify what those "civil consequences" should be, the First Amendment protects Boebert, Carlson, and others who share their views about the LGBT agenda.

At any rate, neither of them have called for violence against the LGBT community.

And despite what progressive activists claim, disagreeing with the LGBT agenda is not the same thing as calling for violence against the LGBT community or directly inciting violence, which is unlawful.

Ironically, the same free speech principles that protect Boebert and Carlson also allow Figliuzzi to claim that the solution "to put a stop to hate" is to teach "young children in school" the LGBT agenda.

'There's blood on your hands': Democrats pounce on Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert after gay nightclub shooting

Democrats pounced on Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado after the GOP lawmaker issued an innocuous tweet in the wake of a shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs that left several dead and others wounded.

Boebert described the shooting as "awful," said that she was praying for the victims and their relatives, and added that unlawful violence must stop.

"The news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful. This morning the victims & their families are in my prayers. This lawless violence needs to end and end quickly," Boebert tweeted.

Transgender Colorado state Rep. Brianna Titone called for Boebert's resignation and claimed that the GOP lawmaker has blood on her hands.

"Thanks for the 'thoughts and prayers' but that does nothing to offset the damage that you directly did to incite these kinds of attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. You spreading tropes and insults contributed to the hatred for us. There's blood on your hands. Just resign," Titone tweeted.

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York tweeted, "@laurenboebert you have played a major role in elevating anti-LGBT+ hate rhetoric and anti-trans lies while spending your time in Congress blocking even the most common sense gun safety laws. You don't get to 'thoughts and prayers' your way out of this. Look inward and change."

California state Sen. Scott Wiener highlighted a June tweet in which Boebert had declared, "Take your children to CHURCH, not drag bars."

"You regularly pour lighter fluid on anti-LGBTQ hate & help fuel this kind of violence. This bar was literally scheduled to host a drag brunch this morning — the exact people you regularly demonize as harming children," Wiener tweeted. "You're complicit."

According to the nightclub's Facebook page, Club Q had been planning to hold an "ALL AGES DRAG BRUNCH" on Sunday.

"Your record 'is absolutely awful.' You use hateful rhetoric towards the LGBTQ+ community and helped block even modest efforts to end gun violence. You're also one of the reasons we put metal detectors outside the House floor," U.S. Rep. Mondaire Jones of New York tweeted.

Last week, Democratic challenger Adam Frisch conceded to Boebert in the extremely close election contest for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District. Boebert has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2021.

Non-binary 'groomer' says adults are 'problematic' and kids are 'here for a good time'

Libs of TikTok posted a video of a teacher/groomer who in addition to culturally appropriating Chinese culture by wearing an Asian-style shirt, praised students for "seeing" him or her before he or she "was ready to be seen."

The tweet read: "Non-binary teacher explains 'kids brains are more elastic' and that’s how 'they' get students to use they/them pronouns and the Mx honorific."

The only question that must be asked is why any adult feels such a deep need to be understood and accepted by children — except for groomers.

Lauren Boebert reported to FBI for joking about Biden's teleprompter issues

Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert (R) was reported to the FBI on Sunday after she made a joke about President Joe Biden's most recent teleprompter snafu.

The Republican lawmaker on Sunday tweeted, "We need to terminate this Presidency." She followed her statement with, "End quote. Repeat the line."

“We need to terminate this Presidency.

End quote. Repeat the line.”
— Lauren Boebert (@Lauren Boebert) 1657460771

It was a direct reference to Biden's speech on abortion Friday, during which he repeatedly read aloud his teleprompter cues and made other misstatements. The president announced that he had signed an executive order directing various federal agencies to protect abortion access after the Supreme Court ruled states may regulate abortion, overturning its Roe v. Wade decision.

During his speech, Biden recounted the story of a 10-year-old who purportedly was raped and had to travel from Ohio to Indiana to obtain an abortion because her home state had enacted an abortion ban.

“Ten years old and she was forced to travel out of the state to Indiana to seek to terminate the presidency and maybe save her life,” Biden said Friday, mistakenly substituting the work "presidency" for "pregnancy."

Biden made several other errors for which he was mocked on social media. After reading a quote from the majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, for example, Biden said "repeat the line." It was an instruction to repeat the quote, not a statement he was supposed to make in his address.

Several times during Biden's speech, he also said "end of quote" after reciting a quote. "End of quote" is a normal teleprompter cue to let the speaker know that the quote he or she is citing is over.

Boebert's tweet declaring that the presidency must be "terminated" was clearly making fun of Biden's speech. But humorless Twitter users mass-reported the tweet to the FBI, as well as the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, claiming she was inciting violence against the president.

Progressive pundit Keith Olbermann said Boebert's "gun-humping fetishism crossed the line from mind-numbingly MAGA-ism to something @fbi @TheJusticeDept and @SecretService needs to be visiting her about, today." His tweet was part of a thread about the "worst persons in the world."

“🧵7/7 But our winner: @laurenboebert whose gun-humping fetishism crossed the line from mind-numbingly MAGA-ism to something @fbi @TheJusticeDept and @SecretService needs to be visiting her about, today.

Lauren Boebert: today's Worst. Person. In the WORLLLLLLLLD!”
— Keith Olbermann (@Keith Olbermann) 1657536810

Writer Tara Dublin accused Boebert of making "a threat against the legitimately elected President of the United States."

"Lock her up, @FBI. End quote. Repeat the line with the rest of the Sedition Caucus," Dublin tweeted.

“Well, that sure sounds like a threat against the legitimately elected President of the United States, Squeaky

Lock her up, @FBI. End quote. Repeat the line with the rest of the Sedition Caucus #LouderThanMAGA”
— Tara Dublin (@Tara Dublin) 1657468069

Another verified user asked the FBI if Boebert's tweet qualified as a "terroristic threat."

Dozens of other unverified accounts called on federal law enforcement to investigate Boebert's tweet, with hysteric references to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and names like "white supremacist terrorist" thrown at Boebert. All because of a joke.

But these complaints raise the question, if "terminate this presidency" is a violent threat, what is "terminate this pregnancy"?

Press sec panics when Doocy brings up DAMNING Biden voicemail: 'I'm not going to talk about' that

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer Fox News reporter Peter Doocy's question about certain "alleged materials" on the president's son's now-infamous laptop.

According to a Daily Mail report last week, a 2018 voicemail was discovered on a cellphone backup on Hunter Biden’s laptop that reveals that Joe Biden knew about his son's dubious business dealings in China. The president has repeatedly denied that he ever spoke with Hunter about any of his overseas business dealings.

"Why is there a voicemail of the president talking to his son about his overseas business dealings if the president has said he's never spoken to his son about his overseas business dealings?" Doocy asked Jean-Pierre.

"Well, first I will say that what the president said stands. So, if that's what the president said, that is what stands," Jean-Pierre responded. "And secondly ... from this podium, I'm not going to talk about alleged materials from the laptop."

Philip Wegmann from RealClearNews wasn't about to let Jean-Pierre off the hook.

Biden bans travel from India amid country's COVID surge, prompting GOP to remind him of an old tweet

President Joe Biden has issued a travel ban from India, as the nation grapples with a surge in COVID-19 cases.

But several Republicans were quick to remind the president of an old tweet he sent last year in reaction to former President Donald Trump issuing travel bans from coronavirus-stricken countries in the early days of the pandemic.

What are the details?

Reuters first reported that Biden signed a proclamation banning most non-U.S. citizens from entering the United States from India, which goes into effect starting Tuesday.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement that the move was made under the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to The New York Times, "the travel restrictions will not apply to citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States, their spouses or minor children or siblings, or to the parents of citizens or lawful permanent residents who are younger than 21 years old."

Once the news hit, several Republican lawmakers re-upped Biden's tweet from last year, where he declared that such bans would not stop the virus. Biden's tweet was a criticism of Trump, who imposed a travel ban from several European countries the same day. Trump also banned travel from China — where the coronavirus first emerged.

"A wall will not stop the coronavirus," Biden tweeted on March 12, 2020. "Banning all travel from Europe — or any other part of the world — will not stop it. This disease could impact every nation and any person on the planet — and we need a plan to combat it."

Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert tweeted Friday, "As Biden bans flights from India, perhaps he should be reminded of a tweet he put out last year. Also, I thought travel bans were xenophobic."

Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-Ill.) also pointed to Biden's tweet from last year along with the news of his India travel ban, tweeting, "Never Forget!"

Some folks rushed to Biden's defense.

One person who represented the pro-Biden argument tweeted, "Biden was saying Trump didn't have an extended plan to combat the virus on multiple levels. Trump was simply shutting the 'door' and not engaging with the scientific community to actually FIGHT the disease at the time. Restricting travel is just one tactic."

Anything else?

The Daily Wire reported that "India has officially reported nearly 18 million coronavirus cases with more than 200,000 deaths, but experts believe that those numbers are severely undercounted."

On the same day the travel ban was announced, the first shipment of emergency medical aid from the U.S. arrived in India.

CBS News reported that "a U.S. military transport plane carrying more than 400 oxygen cylinders, nearly one million rapid coronavirus test kits and other supplies landed in Delhi on Friday morning."

The Biden administration announced Monday "that it intended to make up to 60 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine available to other countries, so long as federal regulators deem the doses safe," The Times reported. The AsraZeneca vaccine is not yet authorized for use in the U.S.

The first coronavirus vaccines available in the U.S. — by Pfizer and Moderna — were developed during President Donald Trump's term, under his administration's "Operation Warp Speed."
