Snoop Dogg’s ‘fake’ apology for anti-LGBTQ comments

Snoop Dogg came under fire recently for criticizing LGBTQ content in kids’ films, complaining that during a recent trip to see “Lightyear” with his grandson, he had to explain why a child had two mothers.

Now, an apology that claims to be from Snoop Dogg has been going viral across the internet — but some are saying it’s fake.

According to Deadline, “Sources close to the rapper also told Deadline that the comments, which appeared to be made by Snoop’s verified Instagram account, were not written by anyone on his team either. ‘It is fake,’ an anonymous source told the outlet.”

However, BlazeTV host Jason Whitlock isn’t buying it.

“I think he backpedaled,” Whitlock tells BlazeTV contributor Shemeka Michelle. “I think he got blowback for backpedaling, and now he’s pretending like he didn’t do this or anyone on his team did this.”

“I definitely feel like he backpedaled,” Michelle agrees. “And I was expecting it. He backpedaled smoother than Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk. But I’m not surprised because we talked about this when the story first came out about him coming against Buzz Lightyear, that he would not stand ten toes down.”

“They never do. So I think that there was an apology, or he had someone put the story out to say, ‘I have gay people that are friends and family.’ This is what they always do,” she adds.

Whitlock points out that even if the apology was fake, Snoop Dogg is still a hypocrite.

“Snoop Dogg can make music that little kids listen to, know every word to, that grooms them and destroys them just as much as these Disney movies. And again, I’m sure someone pointed that out to him. It’s like, ‘What are you doing here, man? Your music is just as bad, and we can cancel you,’” Whitlock says.

“These fake, wannabe, politically incorrect, fake rebels, they don’t have a set of values that they actually stand on,” he continues. “And so it’s whatever will get them the most money, and Snoop has done what is financially expedient here.”

Snoop Dogg takes on LGBTQ Hollywood — but he’s ‘the WRONG messenger’

Snoop Dogg is not a fan of LGBTQ+ representation in kids’ movies — and apparently he’s not afraid to say it.

During a recent interview on Sarah Fontenot’s “It’s Giving” podcast, the famous rapper made controversial comments regarding the film “Lightyear,” which he took his grandson to see.

While they were watching it, he was surprised to find that one of the characters has two moms.

“They’re like, ‘She had a baby — with a woman.’ Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!’” he said.

Snoop said his grandson was confused by the same-sex couple and asked, “They just said she and she had a baby — they’re both women. How does she have a baby?”

“So it’s like, f**k me, I’m like scared to go to the movies,” Snoop explained. “Y’all throwing me in the middle of s**t that I don’t have an answer for.”

BlazeTV host Jason Whitlock agrees with Snoop, but he doesn’t agree with Snoop being the one to say it.

“Not a bad message. Wrong messenger. And I think if he wanted to send a real message, the story should have ended with, ‘Yeah, I pulled my grandson up out of this movie, and we left and, you know, went and streamed an old-school movie for kids,’” Whitlock says.

“My real thought is, Snoop needs to evaluate what his music has done to little kids and that his music has groomed as many kids for sexual degeneracy as any Disney movie,” he adds.

BlazeTV contributor Shemeka Michelle agrees, calling him “the wrong messenger” as well.

“For one, I don’t think he’s going to stand ten toes down. If he does, I’ll be surprised, but I’m so used to them backtracking and saying, ‘That’s not what I meant,’ or, ‘I love the LGBTQ community,’” Michelle explains.

“And I’m like you,” she continues, adding, “I would have gotten up and left the movie.”

Snoop Dogg enrages liberals after criticizing LGBTQ scenes in kids' movies

A lesbian theme in a children's movie led popular rapper Snoop Dogg to avoid going to the theater with his grandchildren, and many on the left are melting down over it.

The 53-year-old hip-hop mogul, whose given name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus, made the comments while being interviewed on the "It's Giving" podcast. He said that his grandson was confused over a scene showing a lesbian couple kiss in the "Lightyear" movie.

'These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They're going to ask questions! I don't have the answer.'

Broadus said that the movie said the lesbian couple had a baby.

"My grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, 'Papa Snoop, how did she have a baby with a woman? She's a woman,'" he recalled.

"I'm scared to go to the movies now," he added.

"It threw me for a loop," Broadus said. "I'm like, 'What part of the movie was this?' These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They're going to ask questions! I don't have the answer."

The "Lightyear" movie was criticized by many for its woke inclusion, and it did not fare well at the box office. Despite being part of a very popular franchise, the movie came in second in its first week of release and went on to be one of Pixar's worst-performing films.

News outlets like USA Today made it appear as if the majority of social media opinion went against the rapper.

"Biggest sellout in Hip-Hop," reads one response cited by the outlet.

"How is answering his grandson's question even close to the horrors of answering how a man has a baby with a woman?????" another popular response reads.

"I'm so tired.. Genuinely so tired of the rampant homophobia nowadays," another user responded.

Others accused the rapper of being politically incorrect since he performed at a pro-cryptocurrency event during the celebration after President Donald Trump's inauguration.

"Y'all can't hate enough on me. I love too much," Snoop Dogg replied at the time. "Get your life right. Stop worrying about mine. I'm cool. I'm together. Still a Black man. Still 100% Black."

Patricia Heaton says Tim Allen's Buzz Lightyear has been 'castrated'

Actress Patricia Heaton hit out at Hollywood at large after Disney's Pixar replaced actor Tim Allen with Chris Evans for the voice of Buzz Lightyear.

"Lightyear," an origin story about the namesake character's background, hits theaters on Friday.

What are the details?

On Tuesday, Heaton tweeted, "Saw the trailer for Buzz Lightyear and all I can say is Disney/Pixar made a HUGE mistake in not casting my pal @ofctimallen Tim Allen in the role that he originated, the role that he owns. Tim IS Buzz! Why would they completely castrate this iconic, beloved character?"

She added that removing Allen from the project takes away the "one element" that makes people want to see the film.

"Ok so the current Buzz Lightyear movie is an origin story - but the reason the character became so beloved is because of what @ofctimallen created. Why remove the one element that makes us want to see it?#stupidHollywooddecisions," she added.

The film has been under scrutiny and will not be shown in a large number of Middle Eastern countries due to the presence of a same-sex couple in the film. In a statement on the ban, United Arab Emirates explained that the couple's presence violates the country's media content standards.

What else is there to know about this?

Evans spoke out on the censorship.

"It's great that we are a part of something that's making steps forward in the social inclusion capacity, but it's frustrating that there are still places that aren't where they should be," Evans said.

Producer Galyn Susman stated that the production cast Evans in the role because the film is about the man who inspired the Buzz Lightyear toy featured in the "Toy Story" franchise.

“We weren’t making a ‘Toy Story’ movie,” she insisted during a recent press conference. “We’re making Buzz Lightyear’s movie. And so first and foremost, we just needed a different person playing that Lightyear, separate from the toy.”

Pixar restores same-sex kiss in upcoming 'Lightyear' movie over staff outrage about Florida's parental rights bill

Pixar Animation Studios reportedly restored a same-sex kiss in its highly anticipated upcoming film "Lightyear" after receiving a letter of outrage from some staff members over the parental rights bill in Florida.

The development was first reported by Variety.

The report cites a source close to the production of the film that says a character in the movie voiced by Uzo Aduba is identified as a gay person and in a relationship with another woman. But while a kiss between she and her girlfriend was excised from the movie, it has been replaced.

The action was in response to a letter from LGTBQ employees at Pixar and their supporters accusing executives at Disney of censoring “overtly gay affection” in feature movies. Disney is the parent company of Pixar and has been at the center of the controversy related to their response to the Florida bill.

“Nearly every moment of overtly gay affection is cut at Disney’s behest, regardless of when there is protest from both the creative teams and executive leadership at Pixar,” read the statement from the employees. “Even if creating LGBTQIA+ content was the answer to fixing the discriminatory legislation in the world, we are being barred from creating it.”

Variety says none of its sources could identify any scene that had been censored in the manner described in the accusation.

Supporters of the Florida bill have accused the media of siding with opponents by using their derisive term for the legislation: The "Don't Say Gay" bill. This has led to bizarre assumptions by many who oppose the bill but don't actually know what provisions are actually in the law.

A Morning Consult poll found that a majority of Americans supported the main proposal in the bill limiting gender and sex teaching in kindergarten until third grade, and another limiting such teaching for grades above third grade.

The Lightyear movie stars Chris Evans and will be released on June 17.
