The Biden Family Is Desperately Clinging To Power, But One Loving Grandkid Is Still Frozen Out
Hunter Biden is no stranger to scandals. While attentions are currently turned toward his recent trial, during which he was charged with three felonies related to the purchase of a gun in 2018, we mustn’t forget that last year, the media was obsessed with his complicated relationship with his biological daughter Navy Joan Roberts, who he shares with Lunden Roberts.
The camera will likely pan back toward the mother-daughter duo, however, considering Lunden is poised to publish a tell-all book — “Out of the Shadows: My Life Inside the Wild World of Hunter Biden” — this August.
In the wake of Hunter’s federal gun trial and perhaps in preparation for her book launch, Lunden has broken her silence in a series of interviews. Yesterday, she joined Alex Stein on “Prime Time” to spill some tea on her mysterious relationship with the president’s son.
Mother of Hunter Biden's Child REVEALS His Wild Private Life | Ep 206 youtu.be
“What is it like now being a famous person and being the mother of the president's granddaughter?” Alex asked.
“I can’t give you one emotion — it’s wild, it’s chaotic, it’s saddening at times and heartbreaking,” she said, adding that it’s also brought her some of her “happiest moments.”
“Can you describe your relationship with Hunter? Did you guys ever have an actual relationship, or was it just kind of a fling?” was Alex’s next question.
According to Lunden, their relationship, which she described as “never consistent,” lasted “a little over a year” and was “on and off.”
“He was in a dark place during that time,” she told Alex.
“Did you have fun with him, or was it always kind of like a nightmare situation?” he asked.
“There were plenty of good times I had with Hunter, but there were also some dark times,” she said, adding that “there's a story in the book about how dark it got.”
“There was a night where I worried for Hunter’s life, and I sat there and watched him breathe the entire night, checking on his health to make sure that he was okay. I had my phone in my hand ... wondering, 'Do I call the ambulance?”’ she recounted.
Her relationship with Hunter came with other kinds of darkness, too, including “break-ins and threats,” which has resulted in Lunden being “strapped and loaded 24/7.”
As for Joe Biden’s initial refusal to accept Navy as his granddaughter, Lunden said, “I tell people all the time: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but hell hath no greater fury than a woman whose baby is being scorned.”
Speaking of scorn, “[Hunter] had no recollection of [Lunden] or [their] encounter,” or at least that’s what he claimed in his autobiography.
“I felt a genuine connection with him, and I think that's what hurt so much,” Lunden said in response to the denial.
That’s just the beginning of the conversation though.
To hear about Lunden’s political ideology, whether she and Hunter considered an abortion, Hunter’s shocking drinking and drug habits, his strange romance with his brother’s widow (which Lunden describes as “open” and “toxic”), her opinions on the infamous laptop situation, and potential “performance issues” in the bedroom, check out the full episode.

President Joe Biden has issued a statement in which, for the first time, he publicly acknowledged his 4-year-old granddaughter Navy Joan Roberts, the child of his son Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts.
"Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward," the president said in the statement, according to People. "This is not a political issue, it's a family matter," the president added. "Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy."
First lady Jill Biden is Hunter Biden's step mother.
Joe Biden had previously been called out for failing to publicly acknowledge the grandchild. Earlier this year when running through a list of his grandchildren, Biden said that he has six grandchildren. "The family refuses to acknowledge the youngest child of their deadbeat son, Hunter — as if four-year-old child does not exist," the RNC Research Twitter account wrote in response to the president's comments.

President Biden, who is seeking another term in office, seems to be on course to crush his Democratic presidential primary challengers and secure the party's nomination again. Former President Donald Trump likewise looks to be on track to trounce his GOP presidential primary opponents, which means Americans could potentially see another Trump versus Biden matchup during the general election contest next year.

The White House refused on Wednesday to acknowledge President Joe Biden's seventh granddaughter.
Over the weekend, the New York Times published an exposé about the complicated relationship between the Biden family and Lunden Roberts, with whom Hunter Biden shares a 4-year-old daughter. According to that story, neither the president nor the first son have ever met the young girl.
Shockingly, the story even claimed that White House staff are instructed to say that Biden has six, not seven, grandchildren, effectively pretending that Hunter's youngest daughter does not exist. From the Times:
And then there is President Biden. His public image is centered around his devotion to his family — including to Hunter, his only surviving son. In strategy meetings in recent years, aides have been told that the Bidens have six, not seven, grandchildren, according to two people familiar with the discussions.
Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the story on Wednesday and, more importantly, whether President Biden "acknowledge[s] this little girl as his granddaughter."
But the answer appeared to confirm the New York Times' story.
"I don't have anything to share from here," Jean-Pierre said callously.

Just three months ago, Biden boasted his cred as devoted family man by claiming he speaks to his grandchildren every day. By his count, though, there are only six — even though there are seven.
"I have six grandchildren. And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day. Not a joke," he said in April, claiming his grandchildren are "so crazy" about him "because I pay so much attention to them."
Fortunately for Biden, his youngest granddaughter is "proud" of him despite receiving the cold shoulder, according to Roberts.
"She's very proud of who her grandfather is and who her dad is," Roberts told the New York Times. "That is something that I would never allow her to think otherwise."

President Joe Biden's staff are reportedly instructed to say that he has only six grandchildren — despite the fact that the president has seven biological grandchildren.
The New York Times published an exposé on Saturday revealing details about the complicated relationship between the Biden family, Lunden Roberts, and the 4-year-old daughter whom Roberts shares with Hunter Biden.
The story, in many ways, is heartbreaking. According to the newspaper, the young girl "is aware" that her father is Hunter Biden and her paternal grandfather is the president. She "speaks about both of them often," the Times explained — "but she has not met them."
Even more tragic, the Times reported that Biden maintains his image as a devoted family man while not including his granddaughter in the official count of Biden grandchildren.
And then there is President Biden. His public image is centered around his devotion to his family — including to Hunter, his only surviving son. In strategy meetings in recent years, aides have been told that the Bidens have six, not seven, grandchildren, according to two people familiar with the discussions.
Despite receiving the cold shoulder from the Bidens, Roberts told the Times that her daughter is "proud" of her paternal family.
"She's very proud of who her grandfather is and who her dad is," she said. "That is something that I would never allow her to think otherwise."
The story came days after Roberts and Hunter Biden settled their child-support dispute.
Biden had been paying Roberts $20,000 per month. But Biden sought to reduce his payments, arguing he could no longer afford the large monthly sum. Now, Biden will reportedly pay Roberts just $5,000 per month.
As part of the deal, Biden's daughter will also receive some of his paintings and Biden agreed to discuss starting an education fund for his daughter. As per the agreement, Roberts will also drop her effort to have her daughter receive the Biden family name.
