Glenn Beck interviews left-wing Ana Kasparian, and they AGREE on mainstream media lies and the border crisis

Although Glenn Beck and Ana Kasparian, producer and host for "The Young Turks," a liberal media outlet, represent opposite sides of the political spectrum, these “strange times” we’re currently in led to a sit-down interview in which they discovered that they actually agree on a number of important issues.

Their open and honest conversation mirrors the coalition of people of all stripes that formed around Donald Trump during the election.

“People on the right, people on the left, and the people somewhere in between or nowhere at all are starting to agree — hey, we have problems, and we have to stop this political division before it destroys us completely,” says Glenn.

While the duo broached several topics, including government stock trading, free speech, and Kamala Harris welcoming an endorsement by Dick Cheney, among many others, one highlight of their conversation was their discussion of the mainstream media and the border crisis it pretended didn’t exist.

Although Ana still identifies as “left-wing,” she has undergone some changes in her “policy prescriptions.”

When Glenn asked if there was a singular moment that “changed everything” for her, Ana gave a complex answer.

On one hand, yes — there was a specific incident that was a catalyst for change.

“I was sexually assaulted by a homeless guy in Los Angeles in my neighborhood,” she said, noting that it wasn’t the incident itself as much as “the reaction of the left” that was transformative for her.

“They were far more concerned with me talking about it because they felt that that was stigmatizing the homeless community,” she told Glenn.

This “social justice” faction of the left was “loud enough to push [her] away completely.”

On the other hand, some of Ana’s evolution took place over time as she started scrutinizing not only the “social justice left” that condemned her for speaking out on her abuse but also the mainstream media and the Biden administration that it panders to.

She began to realize that these radicalized entities all pushed the narrative that there wasn’t a border crisis and to say there was made someone “anti-immigrant.”

She pointed to Cook County, Chicago, as an example.

“You have an influx of migrants going to Chicago, right? You have a lot of anger among the black community in Chicago because they've been nickel-and-dimed by their local government, and at the same time, their mayor, Brandon Johnson, is doling out the cash for migrants and justifying it,” she said.

However, when she spoke out on this issue and said, “Democrats need to wake up because more and more voters feel like they're being abandoned by the Democratic Party, economically speaking,” she was called “anti-immigrant,” even though she is the daughter of immigrants.

“I’m not anti-immigrant, but I do have a problem with the Biden administration neglecting the border, pretending like there wasn't a migrant crisis at all, allowing these municipalities to be inundated with migrants without any federal resources to deal with the problem,” she explained.

However, before she came to this conclusion, she took the mainstream media at its word.

“I bought the mainstream media narrative that there wasn't a migrant crisis,” she admitted.

But now she knows the truth. “When it comes to mainstream media, the fact of the matter is they do play defense more and more for the Democratic Party, and that's an issue," she acknowledged.

“It wasn't until Texas Governor Greg Abbott started busing or sending migrants to blue cities where that woke me up,” she told Glenn.

After that she stopped “relying on mainstream media reporting or anyone's reporting” and started doing her own investigating.

“What I'll do is I'll go out of my way and I'll watch the entirety of a … local government function. I talk to real people, and I get a sense of where hearts and minds really are,” she revealed, “and so on election night, I wasn't surprised at all.”

“I knew what was coming,” she said.

Pete Hegseth vs. the swamp — 3-part character assassination EXPLAINED

Like clockwork, every time Trump taps another person for his administration, the media releases a long list of allegations attached to that nominee in an attempt to discredit him from the position he's been nominated for. The smear campaign against Matt Gaetz was enough for him to withdraw his name. And now DOD nominee Pete Hegseth is having his name drug through the mud relentlessly.

“Pete Hegseth is a disruptor, and because he's a disruptor and threatens to disrupt the military industrial complex itself, Pete has come under horrendous attack,” says Liz Wheeler, noting that these attacks are not related to “the policies that he wants to implement at the Department of Defense,” nor are they related to “his political positions.”

These are “character assassinations and reputation smears,” says Liz.

The media has even gone as far as involving Hegseth’s own mother in its mission to besmirch his name. Recently, the New York Times published a hit piece featuring an email Pete received from his mother, Penelope, in which she condemned his promiscuity.

“This was years ago during a nasty divorce that Pete was going through, and his mother sent him an email telling him to stop sleeping around. She said, ‘You're being nasty to women, and I'm not proud of that kind of behavior in my son,”’ Liz recounts, adding that Hegseth’s mother has since had to do damage control in an effort to clear her son’s name.

How the news outlet got its hands on this correspondence is suspicious in and of itself.

But beyond that, the fact of the matter is, Pete Hegseth’s romantic past, however immoral it might be, does not impact his ability to do the job.

“I don't agree with Pete sleeping around. I think a lot of people probably don't,” says Liz. “Will that impact his ability to do his job at the Department of Defense? Absolutely not.”

Perhaps the media knows, however, that past promiscuity isn’t sufficient to sully his name because now it’s developed a new attack angle.

“The newest line of attack against Pete Hegseth is that he would come to work at Fox drunk,” says Liz, calling the allegation an “elementary character assassination,” especially considering it’s based on “10 anonymous sources,” who “refused to go on the record” with their accusations.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) stated that the allegations against Pete Hegseth are “very disturbing” and that Senate confirmation is “going to be difficult.”

“Do you think Lindsey Graham is actually disturbed by these allegations, or is Lindsey Graham disturbed by the fact that Pete Hegseth thinks that we should end the wars that Lindsey Graham profits off of?” asks Liz. “Lindsey Graham never met a war he didn’t like.”

However, there’s been a third attack on Pete Hegseth.

“There's been a report that President Trump is considering dropping Pete Hegseth and replacing him with Ron DeSantis,” says Liz.

However, when CEO and co-founder of the Federalist Sean Davis spoke with sources from the Trump transition team about these rumors, he was told that the entire story is “absolute nonsense.”

“There's a report (call it a rumor if you want) that these kinds of stories are being planted by RINO senators” — “neocons,” like Joni Ernst, who “wants to be the Secretary of Defense herself,” says Liz.

“I have a message today for the despicable, lying sycophants who are throwing these fake hatchets at Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel, too: You have no idea the sleeping giant that you have awakened when you weaponized government to target us. ... If you think that we're going to roll over, just let you torpedo Trump's nominees with unsubstantiated, anonymous fake news and slimy character assassinations, you're utterly delusional. We were born for this fight,” says Liz.

MSNBC lies: Clip of Joe Rogan edited to praise Kamala Harris — but he wasn’t

If you need more evidence that the mainstream media is not your friend, look no further than the stunt MSNBC just tried to pull on Joe Rogan.

The major news network deceptively edited a clip of Rogan to make it seem as though he was praising Kamala Harris, when he really was praising Tulsi Gabbard — and he’s understandably pissed.

“This is what MSNBC did,” Rogan told Andrew Huberman on an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” “They took a clip of me talking about Tulsi Gabbard, and they edited it up and made it look like I was saying great things about Kamala Harris.”

“They just deceptively edited the things that I was saying, took it completely out of context,” Rogan continued. “First of all, I was talking about Tulsi Gabbard, and then I was talking about the media behind Kamala Harris, all this surge, and all these people just deciding that she’s good, she could win, and they put the two of those together and made it seem like I was praising Kamala Harris.”

Rogan had been discussing Gabbard’s accomplishments, like being a congresswoman for eight years and her two overseas deployments in medical units helping injured soldiers.

“They don’t care about the truth. They just want a narrative to get out there amongst enough people, ‘cause most people are just surface readers,” Rogan explained.

Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” isn’t surprised.

“Evil, that’s the word, and you got to admire what they do,” Rubin tells Sage Steele. “Do they think they’re going to get away with it?”

“But the answer I guess ultimately is yes, because they keep doing it, and they still get a certain amount of people to follow,” he continues. “Maybe their whole game is like ‘Oh, Rogan’s going to call on us, more people are going to watch our show. That’s just the nature of the clickbait evil.”

WATCH: Lara Trump talks RNC strategies, Project 2025, and all the issues Americans ACTUALLY care about

Among the long list of things we won’t miss about Joe Biden is his constant lying about Donald Trump.

“Nothing enrages me more than Joe Biden and his flatout lies about what Donald Trump has said in the past, continually lying about him,” Pat Gray tells Lara Trump, who joined the show to shed light on the party’s plan to address the ongoing deception from Biden, Harris, and the DNC.

- YouTubewww.youtube.com

Even though Snopes and other fact-checker platforms have debunked several of Biden’s lies about Trump, the president continues to perpetuate them every time he’s near a microphone.

“How do you combat that?” Pat asks.

“They know they have failed the American people, so they know they can only operate in lies,” Lara says, pointing to the lie that Donald Trump instituted a “federal abortion ban” when he actually just pushed the issue back to the states.

“The only way you can [combat] that is actually show Donald Trump in his own words and show what he truly said,” she continues, referencing how the left and its media allies spread the lie that Trump said that “neo-nazis and white supremacists” were “very fine people” when he, in fact, said that those extremist groups should be “condemned totally.”

Pat then brings up Project 2025 and the hysteria Democrats are raising over its supposed radicalism.

“All of the proposals I’ve seen are pretty reasonable,” he says of the Heritage Foundation’s policy recommendations.

“These are things that just make sense for the conservative party. Is that something Donald feels is necessary to distance himself from?” he asks.

“There are some ideas in there that are very productive and would be great for this country. There are some ideas in there that might be a little more extreme, and the problem is Donald Trump hasn’t had anything to do with Project 2025,” Lara explains, noting that falsely pinning Project 2025 on Trump is yet another example of the left’s efforts to make him look “extreme and crazy.”

She goes on to explain why the left avoids addressing the issues Americans actually want to hear about, like “how they get inflation down, how they get more money in their pockets, how we bring the prices of gas down, close our southern border, bring our troops back home, make sure that we are not engaged in foreign wars and sending money overseas.”

“That's not what Democrats want to talk about because they know they've taken the country in the wrong direction on all of those issues,” she says.
