Jen Psaki doubles down on MADDENING excuse for Kamala Harris mask hypocrisy

On “The Rubin Report” Monday, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin shared a clip of White House press secretary Jen Psaki making outlandish excuses for Vice President Kamala Harris not wearing a face mask on the Senate floor during Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation vote on Wednesday and then again while indoors during Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation to the Supreme Court on Friday.

Psaki first told Fox News' Peter Doocy last week that the vice president wore a face mask before she "went out" to the Rose Garden. When Doocy pointed out that Harris was seen giving Jackson a hug without a mask, even after learning that she had come into close contact with her communications director Jamal Simmons who tested positive for COVID-19, Psaki said Harris was having an "emotional moment" while "playing an important role in confirming or overseeing the confirmation of the first Black woman to the Supreme Court."

The CDC recommends that anyone who is "up to date" on vaccines but is exposed to an individual with COVID should wear a mask for "10 full days" when in public.

On Monday, Psaki was asked about a video that was shared to Biden's Twitter account, which clearly showed the vice president, along with first lady Jill Biden and others, gathered around President Biden in the Oval Office — all without masks.

"It was an emotional day. It was a historic day," Psaki said in Harris' defense. "There were moments when she was not wearing a mask inside, including in a photo, but she was wearing it 99.9% of the time."

Dave also shared a clip of Psaki refusing to give a straight answer to Fox News' Dana Perino about when and if the Biden administration’s mandate requiring masks on airplanes will expire or be renewed on April 18.

Video: Parent rips school board chair's mask hypocrisy — with visual proof — and irate chair asks cop to remove her. When that fails, board chair storms out.

Don't look now, but it appears that those fighting to keep student mask mandates in place are coming unglued.

Case in point: During Tuesday's Montgomery County (Virginia) School Board meeting, parent Alecia Vaught ripped board members for double standards — and much more.

What happened?

“We sat here last year and listened to you guys preach to us about [former] Gov. [Ralph] Northam's executive orders [on masks in schools] and how we must follow them," she said at the microphone. "You guys remember that? We do."

Vaught added, “So here's the [new] governor [Glenn Youngkin] that comes into office. But yet you don't want to follow his orders [to make masks optional in schools]. Why is that? Why is it different from the last year ... to this year? Two different governors, two different political parties. So, we were supposed to follow it last year, but not this year. That makes no sense and makes all of you a bunch of hypocrites."

Oh, but it got much better.

Vaught then turned her attention to board Chair Sue Kass and pointed to photos on her cellphone of Kass maskless “with a crowd of people."

With that, Kass exploded like an assistant principal yelling at a student and told Vaught "you are done" and soon asked a police officer to kick her out.

When that didn't work, Kass slammed her laptop closed and stormed out of the meeting.

And as Kass walked past a Vaught, she told the board chair "we're coming for your seat."

Kass' reply? "You can have my seat."

Here's the exchange:

What happened next?

Following the heated confrontation, Vaught and Kass spoke separately to WXFR-TV about the issues at hand.

First off, Vaught told the station that she and The Second Monday Constitution Group — of which she is the founder — sat in the front row of the room during the previous school board meeting and took off their masks in protest. That reportedly elicited yelling from Kass, WXFR said.

For her part, Kass told the station she's been receiving mean emails and phone calls regarding her position on the school board.

But Vaught told WXFR it’s about the board letting parents choose what's best for their children

“I am not right-wing. I am trying to do the right thing," Vaught added to the station. "I am doing the right thing for our kids, and I’m standing up and calling out hypocrisy when there is hypocrisy because we are all tired of it — it’s rules for thee and not for me."

But Kass told WXFR it's about respect: “She used a forum that is supposed to be for a community to express their concerns about the school, students, and staff, and she used that forum for her political purposes."

Vaught stuck to her guns, saying the board members "need to listen to the parents. We are the parents, we dictate how they grow up, how they get educated, and we pay the taxes for those schools to get built. We pay these salaries, we elect these board members onto the boards," the station said.

'The View' hosts turn on Stacey Abrams over inexplicable masking hypocrisy: 'Unforced error of the worst sort'

Liberal hosts of "The View" pummeled Democrat Stacey Abrams on Monday for her response to a politically damaging image that showed her unmasked while posing with masked schoolchildren.

What is the background?

Abrams visited Glennwood Elementary School outside Atlanta. After her visit, the school's principal shared an image on social media showing Abrams sitting on the floor with students.

The contrast in the image was drastic: Abrams, a politicians who supports COVID restrictions, was not wearing a mask while every child in the photo was masked. In response to blowback, Abrams' campaign purged the image from social media and attempted to shift the narrative by invoking Black History Month.

"It is shameful that our opponents are using a Black History Month reading event for Georgia children as the impetus for a false political attack, and it is pitiful and predictable that our opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health during the pandemic," a statement by her campaign read.

What happened on 'The View'?

After praising Abrams' political prowess, co-host Joy Behar said Abrams "should have read the room" while co-host Sunny Hostin tore into Abrams.

"It was an unforced error," Hostin said. "I think it was really hypocritical, actually, her statement. First of all, this has nothing to do with Black History Month. The point is she was not wearing a mask when she is one of those proponents of mask mandates."

"She should have worn a mask," Hostin declared, adding that Abrams' excuse for not wearing one was "lame."

Co-host Ana Navarro, meanwhile, noted that mask hypocrisy is a problematic issue for Democratic politicians across the board. Navarro invoked Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti (D) being caught without a mask at a football game last month, which he later attempted to justify by claiming he held his breath when he was unmasked.

"I think people really resent the idea of 'Rules for thee but not for me,'" Navarro said.

Hostin later said again, "It was an unforced error of the worst sort."

"How could she not be much more careful in a room full of such small children?" Navarro later agreed. "Stupid thing to do."

Rashida Tlaib caught on camera: Just wearing a mask because 'I've got a Republican tracker here'

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) was caught on camera saying that she's only masking up because she was being tailed by what she referred to as a "Republican tracker," The Washington Free Beacon reports.

What are the details?

Tlaib made the bizarre-sounding admission while talking with an attendee at a Detroit community event with Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge.

After the event, Tlaib was talking with a group of people when a maskless attendee approached her and mistakenly thought that Tlaib was scolding him for being "the one unmasked guy" in the surrounding area.

"Oh, no, oh, not you!" she laughingly said in the video.

She then pulled down her mask and smiled at the attendee and went on to insist, "No, no, no; I'm just wearing it because I've got a Republican tracker here."

This isn't the first time Tlaib has been in the spotlight for masking snafus.

In August, she was captured dancing while maskless during an extremely crowded, indoor wedding reception in Dearborn, Michigan, despite skyrocketing COVID-19 case counts triggered by the highly contagious Delta variant.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that Tlaib's office did not return a request for comment on the video.

Many social media users took to Twitter to express their feelings on what they believed was Tlaib's hypocritical statement.
