Far-left San Francisco mayor parties without mask in nightclub, violating her own COVID mask mandate

The hypocrisy of left-wing officials in regard to adhering to COVID-19 restrictions — particularly ones they've enacted — is well documented:

Now what?

Now San Francisco Democratic Mayor London Breed appears to be in line for queen of COVID Rules for Thee but Not for Me.

A photo was posted — but later taken down — on the Black Cat Nightclub's Instagram page showing a smiling Breed celebrating with friends Wednesday night, KNTV-TV reported.

Thing is, the images of Breed show her without a mask — which violates her own COVID-19 rules that say masks must be worn indoors except when you're eating or drinking, even if you've been vaccinated.

Here's a video showing Breed in the background as she danced and sang without a mask — and no food or drinks in hand:

"She's been very clear that everybody needs to do their part, we're not out of the woods," Danielle Rabkin, Crossfit Golden Gate Gym Owner, told KNTV. "San Francisco's rules have been very restrictive, and I don't see her playing her part in that photo."

The station said it didn't immediately hear back from the mayor's press office after a request for comment on the matter.

More from KNTV:

She did tell a Chronicle reporter Thursday night that she gets tested often and everyone had to show proof of vaccination to get in, which made her feel safe.

In early August, she emphasized the need for the city to bring back its indoor mask mandate.

"We don't want to shut down this city or this country down any longer than we have to. Our economy and our livelihood, and our kids going back to school, and everything in between depends on it," she said.

In a news release about the mandate, the mayor's office clearly spelled out the rules, stating, "The orders require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear face coverings when indoors in public settings, with limited exceptions."

Rabkin added to the station that Breed "clearly feels like it's fine and safe to remove her mask, [so] then let that be the rule for everybody. You're not impervious to COVID any more than I am, so let the rules for you be the same as the rules for me."

Top Democratic Party leader faces backlash after wishing death upon Lindsey Graham after senator contracts COVID-19

A top Democratic Party official in Rhode Island is apologizing Tuesday after facing backlash for wishing death upon Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who announced Monday that he had contracted COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated.

What is the background?

Graham revealed that he is experiencing "mild symptoms" after testing positive for COVID-19. He also praised the COVID-19 vaccine, saying he would probably feel much worse without it.

"I feel like I have a sinus infection and at present time I have mild symptoms. I will be quarantining for ten days," Graham said. "I am very glad I was vaccinated because without vaccination I am certain I would not feel as well as I do now. My symptoms would be far worse."

What did the party official say?

Political strategist Kate Coyne-McCoy of the Rhode Island Democratic Party responded to Graham's diagnosis by wishing he would die from the virus.

"It's wrong to hope he dies from Covid right? Asking for a friend," Coyne-McCoy said, adding the hashtags, "#COVIDISNOTOVER" and "#LINDSEYGRAHAM."

Coyne-McCoy quickly deleted the tweet after it began generating attention — and backlash — online. But, as they say, the internet lives forever.

Coyne-McCoy is not your typical political strategist. When she was hired by the Rhode Island Democratic Party in March, the party said she would "develop and implement programs that will modernize the party and position Democrats to win from the top to the bottom of the ballot."

She is essentially the co-leader of the state Democratic Party. Her Twitter bio states that she is "leading" the state party.

In fact, Rhode Island Democratic Party Chairman Joseph McNamara, speaking of her hiring, said he and Coyne-McCoy would be "working closely" as "we build an even stronger party."

What did her apology say?

Coyne-McCoy posted an apology Tuesday morning, saying she regretted exercising "poor judgement."

"I made a mistake. I used poor judgement which I obviously regret," she said.

The apology quickly generated more than a thousand responses, with most people expressing disbelief that Coyne-McCoy genuinely regretted what she wrote.

  • "It's not a mistake when you think it through enough to type it out. Come on! You've been around long enough to know that you were going to get called out on it. The only regret you have is getting caught," one person said.
  • "No you regret the backlash. You meant your words, there was no mistake," another person said.
  • "You didn't make a mistake. You said it because you wanted it," one person wrote in response.
  • "There is a difference between poor judgement and gross negligence, especially from someone in a leading role," another person pointed out.

The Rhode Island Democratic Party did not return a request for comment from TheBlaze.

Elementary school lesson compares illegal immigration detention centers to WWII-era Japanese-American internment camps

Elementary school students at a Maryland public school were reportedly taught a lesson comparing securing America's southern border to Japanese internment camps of World War II.

What are the details?

Matthew Foldi, journalist at the Washington Free Beacon, tweeted about the purported lesson, which included a video that was reportedly shown to students as young as four years old.

The lesson was said to have taken place at North Glen Elementary School.

Foldi tweeted, "WATCH: 4 year olds in @AACountySchools are falsely taught that Japanese-American internment is comparable to securing our border. The county confirms 'components of critical race theory embedded within' its curriculum."

What else do we know about this?

In the video, a narrator points to two images: one of people being detained at the U.S.-Mexico border, and interned Japanese-Americans in World War II-era camps.

The narrator says, "What do you notice about these two images? What looks the same? What looks different?"

The narrator later continues, "Japanese people and all Asian people were experiencing a lot of racism. That's like bullying someone for having a different skin color. And they were being told that they don't belong in the United States. This is becoming worse for Asian people living in the U.S. at this time. Especially Japanese people."

Foldi noted that Republican County Councilman Nathan Volke, who represents the northeastern area of Anne Arundel County, said that the lesson was "disturbing."

"There is no parallel to the forced imprisonment of Japanese-Americans, who were citizens of the U.S. during World War II, and the temporary detainer of individuals entering the U.S. illegally," Volke told the outlet.

He added, "It's disturbing that this type of teaching is happening, and further reinforces the concerns that so many parents are raising about critical race theory and other divisive topics being taught in our schools. There's no place for this in Anne Arundel County."

Foldi reported that an email sent to a parent by a senior county education official — which was reviewed by the outlet — confirmed that there are "components of critical race theory embedded within [our curriculum]."

Foldi added, "In addition to featuring a historically dubious comparison, the lecture promoted the abolish ICE and defund the police campaigns as human rights movements, showing images of Asian activists bearing signs that included 'Abolish ICE' and #DefendBlackLife, #DefundThePolice."

Foldi noted that neither the Democratic county executive nor the county's Democratic council members responded to requests for comment about the included curriculum.
