Alex Jones to SELL Infowars — what's the main takeaway?

There are some big changes coming for Infowars.

Alex Jones has dropped his efforts to declare bankruptcy and has agreed to liquidate his assets in order to pay the $1.5 billion in damages he owes families of the Sandy Hook mass shooting.

The victims' families had asked a bankruptcy judge in Texas to liquidate Jones’ media empire and Infowars parent company, Free Speech Systems. One attorney representing the families explained that “speech is free, but lies you have to pay for.”

“There’s really no avenue out of this,” Jones said on Sunday. “I’m kind of in the bunker here. And don’t worry, I’ll come back. The enemy can’t help but do this attack.”

Pat Gray is not happy with the outcome.

“It’s unconstitutional, and more people need to be pissed off about this,” Gray says. “You can’t fine a man who doesn’t make anything like that, won’t make that in a lifetime, you can’t fine him 1.5 billion dollars.”

“I don’t like that he thought it was a hoax,” Gray adds, referencing Jones’ previous claim that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax. “I think it was silly that he thought it was a hoax, but to drive him out of business over it, to sue him for 1.5 billion dollars over it.”

Jeffy notes that there seems to be an ulterior motive here — which is silencing Jones.

“They’ve already done a pretty good job of it,” Gray agrees.

“If there is one case you can point to and say, you can only pick one, ‘this is un-American,’ it’s right here. You are going after a person’s voice with this ridiculous amount of money,” Keith Malinak says. “I don’t care if he told 500 lies about fill in the blank. It’s free speech man.”

“It’s agonizing that America just doesn’t exist in its foundational form anymore,” Gray adds.

American diplomats meet with Zelenskyy, agree to send hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to Ukraine

The U.S. agreed to provide the Ukrainian government with millions of dollars in military aid following a secretive meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and top U.S. diplomats on Sunday.

The New York Post reported that the diplomats announced President Joe Biden’s plans to nominate Bridget Brink as the American ambassador to Ukraine and that American diplomats will return to Ukraine this week after evacuating the country before the Russian invasion began.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin met with Zelenskyy and told him that the U.S. would provide his country with more than $300 million in military financing. The American diplomats also approved a $165 million sale of ammunition not made in the U.S. that will be compatible with Ukraine’s Soviet-era weapons.

The U.S. will be providing a total of $713 million for foreign military financing for Ukraine and 15 allied and partner countries. Of this money, $322 million will go to Ukraine.

The rest of the money will be split between NATO member nations and other countries that have provided military supplies to Ukraine during the Russian invasion.

With this latest aid package, the U.S. government has provided Ukraine with $3.7 billion in assistance since the beginning of the war.

This past Thursday, Biden pledged to give an additional $800 million in military aid to Ukraine, including heavy artillery and drones.

As part of the $13.6 billion spending package approved by Congress last month to provide aid and relief to Ukraine and the country’s allies, the American legislative branch committed to spending a total of $6.5 billion in military assistance to Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has made repeated pleas for military assistance from the U.S. since the Russian invasion began.

Before meeting with Blinken and Austin, Zelenskyy said, “We will talk about the list of weapons that we need and the pace of its supply. In recent weeks, the pace, the number has all improved. I’m grateful for that.”

Sunday’s meeting was kept very secret, as American officials refused to confirm that Zelenskyy and the American diplomats would be meeting even after the Ukrainian president announced the summit the day before.

Journalists who traveled with the American diplomatic contingent were not permitted to cross the border into Ukraine or disclose the location of the meeting. They were also barred from reporting on the trip until after it had concluded.

Blinken currently plans to return to Washington from Poland, while Austin is planning to meet with NATO leaders in Germany.

What's The Rock cooking? Potentially a presidential campaign

Beloved movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be planning a presidential run.

Mick Mulvaney, Donald Trump’s chief of staff from January 2019 to March 2020, said that he thinks Johnson is a serious contender in a potential Republican primary race in 2024.

When asked who he thinks “could mount a serious challenge to Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP primary,” Mulvaney told Politico that few people stand a chance at beating Trump in a Republican primary, but that a short list of people could present themselves as serious challengers to Trump in 2024, The Wrap reported.

Mulvaney said, “DeSantis could give him a run for his money. Tim Scott can give him a run for his money. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson could give him a run for his money. It’s a short list.”

Johnson has publicly flirted with the idea of running for president for years, and has hobnobbed with members of the political elite, but stopped short of declaring himself a member of either major party.

In the past, Johnson has attended Republican events and could be tied to Republican campaigns, but most recently he declared his support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 presidential election while labeling himself a “political independent and centrist.”

Trump has continued to tease a presidential run in 2024, stopping short of making any official announcements or commitments that would make him subject to campaign finance regulations.

Insider reported that in a recent interview, Trump said, “I don’t want to comment on running, but I think a lot of people are to be very happy about my decision because it’s a little boring now.”

Trump said, “If I ran, I can’t imagine they’d want me to run, some out of loyalty would have a hard time running. I think that most of those people, and almost every name you mentioned, is there because of me. In some cases, because I backed them and endorsed them.”

In 2021, Johnson spoke with Vanity Fair about his potential political debut.

In the interview, Johnson said, “At the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I care deeply about our country.”

Newsweek reported that Johnson said, “Core values matter. Work hard, take care of your family, be kind to people, take pride in your name, take pride in your own two hands, be inclusive and respect EVERYONE and don’t be full of s***.”
