Police debunk key claim of man who killed teenager who he thought was 'Republican extremist': 'No evidence'

A top North Dakota law enforcement official revealed Thursday there is "no evidence" suggesting teenager Cayler Ellingson was part of a "Republican extremist group."

What are the details?

The probable cause affidavit states that Shannon Brandt, 41, told a 911 dispatcher he used his car to mow down Ellingson — who later died from his injuries — because the 18-year-old was a "Republican extremist" and was threatening him.

"Brandt admitted to striking [Ellingson] with his car because he had a political argument with the pedestrian and believed the pedestrian was calling people to come get him," the affidavit reads. "Brandt admitted to leaving the scene of the incident and returning shortly after where he called 911."

The court document also explains what Brandt told emergency dispatchers.

"Brandt admitted to State Radio that he hit the pedestrian and that the pedestrian was part of a Republican extremist group," the probable cause affidavit states.

But according to North Dakota Highway Patrol Capt. Bryan Niewind, there is no evidence to support Brandt's claim.

"There is no evidence to support the claim Brandt made about Ellingson," Niewind said in a statement.

"This remains an active investigation and as evidence is gathered and reviewed, we will consult with the Foster County State’s Attorney to determine if Brandt’s current charges will remain as currently charged or if additional charges will be brought against him," Niewind added.

Additionally, witnesses who were around both individuals before the incident did not corroborate Brandt's claim about a political argument, the Associated Press noted.

What is Brandt charged with?

Brandt has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death.

He was controversially released from jail this week after posting $50,000 bond.

In his appeal to the judge, Brandt cited having "a job, a life and a house and things that I don't exactly want to see go by the wayside — family that are very important to me."

Brandt has not yet entered a plea for the charges against him. He is next due in court on Oct. 11.

Despite migrants relocated, GoFundMe campaign raised $42,000 for 50 illegal immigrants, but money will go to Martha's Vineyard Community Foundation that has $14 million in assets

In response to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sending 50 illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard, a GoFundMe campaign was launched. In less than 48 hours of their arrival to Martha's Vineyard, the migrants were being shipped off to Joint Base Cape Cod. Despite the illegal aliens having been removed from the swanky liberal enclave, the GoFundMe campaign continued to accept donations for hours after the migrants had been removed from the island.

Some liberals reacted to 50 migrants being sent to Martha's Vineyard by comparing DeSantis to Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Some accused DeSantis of "kidnapping" and "human trafficking."

One individual created a campaign on the crowdfunding website GoFundMe to supposedly assist the illegal immigrants who were sent to Martha's Vineyard.

The GoFundMe campaign is labeled: "Urgent plea to help Martha's Vineyard migrants."

MassLive reported, "A GoFundMe account has raised thousands of dollars for the Venezuelan immigrants placed on the island. The account which was organized by Sarah Goulet will donate all proceeds toward the Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation."

Goulet wrote, "By now, you have probably seen the shocking news that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis arranged to send two planeloads of migrants, mostly from Venezuela, to the island of Martha’s Vineyard."

"Officials and volunteers on the island have sprung into action to provide emergency services, shelter, food, and clothing," she continued. "Martha's Vineyard is a community of open-hearted individuals that view these migrants as people, not political pawns."

"However, the island is a resort community with only 20,000 year-round residents, and it already faces a shortage of affordable housing and off-season jobs," the GoFundMe listing stated. "Please join me in donating to the Martha's Vineyard Community Foundation, which can quickly distribute funds to the neediest organizations."

Goulet added, "This action by DeSantis is a cruel ruse that manipulates families seeking a better life — but we can help to provide support."

Goulet noted that "Martha's Vineyard is a very special place for my family and me," and that her parents have a home on the island.

According to Townhall reporter Mia Cathell, "The organizer is an Ivy League alum from an affluent family and New York comms exec who donated 6x to Kamala Harris. Her wedding on Martha's Vineyard was featured by NYT and her family's $1.6 million+ home there sits near a private association beach."

"The GoFundMe donations are going to Martha's Vineyard Community Foundation, which has assets under management of $14 million+," Cathell wrote on Twitter. "MVCF is also seeking money via a Migrant Relief Fund since residents are 'concerned about the well being of the migrants...on our Island.'"

Nonprofit database GuideStar revealed that the Martha's Vineyard Community Foundation has assets of $14,387,890

Despite the migrants being relocated off Martha's Vineyard around 10 a.m., the crowdfunding campaign continued.

Goulet posted an update at 11 a.m. on Friday: "The migrants left Martha's Vineyard for the Cape this morning."

With the migrants having already been hauled off Martha's Vineyard, Goulet said the donations "will go to shoring up the organizations that provided assistance over the past few days and to building up a reserve to assist situations like this in the future, rather than directly helping this group of migrants and their situation."

Goulet wrote at 4 p.m., "All funds raised went directly to the MV Community Foundation, to distribute to the organizations with the most need."

The GoFundMe campaign raised a total of $42,516.

Kamala Harris speaks at D.C. pride parade, where almost nude trans people twerked in front of children

Vice President Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance at the Washington D.C. Capital Pride Festival Sunday, where children were exposed various forms of extremely sexually suggestive LGBTQ+ "kink," with the gleeful participation of their parents.

“No one should fear loving who they love,” Harris said in remarks that took aim at Republican-led states that have passed laws keeping sexually explicit content out of classrooms or prohibiting minors from undergoing sex-change procedures or hormone regimens. "Our children in Texas and Florida should not fear who they are.”

“We should not have to be dealing with 300 laws in states around our country that are attacking our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters,” Harris added. "So we know what we stand for, and therefore we know what we will fight for."

The vice president appeared to be referring to an executive order from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) that directed the state's Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate "sex-change" procedures or hormone regimens for gender dysphoric children as child abuse.

As for Florida, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education Act, a popular law that prohibits classroom discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity in K-3 schools, reserving sex education for what is developmentally or age-appropriate in later grades as determined by state standards.

Democrats and LGBTQ+ activists have maligned these policies as harmful for transgender youth and bigoted. Republicans say they are necessary protections for children against irreversible changes to their bodies, in the case of so-called gender-affirming care, or "grooming" of kids by adults who expose them to sexually explicit material.

The D.C. pride parade where Harris spoke Sunday featured an overwhelming display of sexual fetishism. Children were encouraged to watch and even participate as thousands of barely clothed individuals marched, "twerked," and flaunted their sexuality in front of them.

Meanwhile, members of D.C.'s "Puppy Play" community dressed in black leather and sported harnesses, ball gags, and other fetish wear as they marched in full view of the families that attended.

These and other lewd displays are typical of pride marches nationwide. LGBTQ+ activists have debated for decades whether sexually indecent marchers should be allowed in pride parades, with some arguing kink harms the movement's respectability while others assert that sexual fetishes need to be out and in the open to win mainstream acceptance.

For the latter reason, some of the marchers explained why it was important that children participate in the festival.

"It is a great thing because, I feel like, making sure that children are aware of what is around them is important," one man in a leopard suit told an independent journalist. "Just because you are around certain things doesn't mean that you're going to be persuaded to be a part of things, but you should be aware of the other type of people live are around you. And if you're not capable it's a developmental problem and this is how we fix that problem."

He added that kids should be exposed to nudity because "it helps you to understand who you are."

Other marchers described how they began to identify as gay or queer at young ages.

"It was around 10 that I started questioning if I was bi. Since then it was a slippery slope - am I bi, omni, lesbian? Now recently I'm like, am I pan? Now I'm starting to realize I'm queer," a woman that uses "he/him" pronouns said to an interviewer.

Some even expressed confusion with their own identity. And they were the adults.

Google-sponsored 'family-friendly' Pride event boasts provocative performance by 'Hydrated Queer Kitties' and drag queen storytime for children

A Google-sponsored Pride event in Texas marketed itself as a "free family-friendly celebration."

To celebrate Pride Month, the Rainbow on the Creek event was held on Saturday at the Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park in Austin.

"Rainbow on the Creek is a free family-friendly celebration that connects, educates, and celebrates Austin’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQIA+) community," the description of the even reads. "The celebration will include 25+ activations by LGBTQIA+ nonprofits and partners, a Queer BIPOC and Latinx artisan & craft market, gender-affirming care & sexual health resources, and many more activities for the whole family."

The Waterloo Greenway – which hosted the event – encouraged bringing "the whole family" to the Pride event.

"Families and children can spend the day exploring a variety of hands-on art and cultural learning activities including drag queen storytime, ‘Taste the Colors of the Rainbow’ with Mom & Pops All Natural Frozen Pops, a dance workshop with Dance Waterloo, Pride Family Portraits, and a Pride Parade in the Park," reads an Instagram from the official Waterloo Greenway Instagram account.

The "Drag Queen Storytime" for children was presented in partnership with Austin Public Library.

The Rainbow on the Creek event featured several drag queen, queer, and trans performers. Many were dressed in provocative outfits and delivered risque performances in front of children. The LGBTQ performers did suggestive dance moves, twerking, splits, and one drag queen squeezed his breasts while performing in from of children.

There were performances by acts such as Texas Ticklers, the Hydrated Queer Kitties, and Heyonce, according to independent journalist Tayler Hansen – who was at the event.

Hansen reported that there were at least 50 children in attendance for the performance by the Hydrated Queer Kitties.

Meanwhile at the Capital Pride Parade in Washington, D.C., there was also a drag queen storytime and a "family-friendly" area on Saturday.

"There will be an exclusive Family-Friendly Pride Parade Viewing Area at the corner of 17th and P ST NW, available for families with small children," the website for the Pride parade states.

At the "Family Fun Area," an LGBTQ activist read the book "My Mommy is a He!" to children. The book "explores transgender identity through a family's experience with one of the parents transitioning."

Drag queen Venus Vahalla sang about gay pride to a group of young children and read a gay version of "Cinderella" to the kids, according to Townhall reporter Mia Cathell.

Venus Vahalla also performs at "Thirst Trap Thursdays" at a D.C. gay bar, Cathell reported.

Rob Reiner says that 'Republicans don't respect women' — Mia Farrow responds by claiming, 'They'd be happy to impose Sharia laws'

Rob Reiner claimed in a tweet that Republicans lack respect for women.

"It’s simple. Republicans don’t respect women," Reiner declared.

Mia Farrow replied to Reiner's post by tweeting, "They’d be happy to impose Sharia laws."

Nancy Sinatra agreed with Reiner and said she does not understand why any women are Republicans: "Yes, I have thought that for decades, and it's beyond my comprehension why a woman, any woman would be a republican. Ever - unless she can't read."

Another person responded to Reiner by tweeting, "It’s more than that. Republicans clearly HATE women."

"Republicans fear strong, intelligent, ambitious women," someone else claimed. "This fact is obvious in everything they do."

Reiner asserted in a tweet last month that voting for a Republican represents a vote for the destruction of democracy: "It couldn’t be more simple. A vote for Republicans is a vote to destroy Democracy," Reiner tweeted.

In a post earlier this month, he said that, "There is only one way to save a woman’s right to choose, our Democracy, and our Planet. Vote for Democrats. There is no other choice."

On April 1, Reiner declared that "It’s long past time that we acknowledge the sure handed, effective, grace under fire, success of Joe Biden’s Presidency." While he posted the tweet on April Fools' Day, given his outspoken leftist views, he was not making a joke.

On Sunday, Reiner tweeted, "On this Mother’s Day let’s honor all mothers and empower all other women with the right to decide if and when they want to become mothers."

Laurence Tribe responded to Reiner by tweeting, "Rename it 'Make Motherhood Voluntary Day.'"

A leaked Supreme Court draft opinion indicates that the high court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade. The official ruling will come out later this year, and could differ from the draft.

"The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives," the draft opinion states.
