Congress wants women FORCED into the military draft to fight its endless wars

Is the government trying to draft our daughters? After the House of Representatives passed an updated version of the National Defense Authorization Act last week, it seems the answer is a resounding “yes.”

The act allows the U.S. government to automatically register men aged 18 to 25 into the Selective Service, but the Senate Armed Forces Committee has since created a version that would extend eligibility for the draft to women starting in 2025.

The bill was approved by a 22-3 vote and is now advancing to the Senate for consideration.

“Congratulations, feminists, you fought for all this equality, you wanted to pretend like men and women were no different, and now, they want to send your sons and your daughters to die in endless wars,” Sara Gonzales says, disturbed.

While Gonzales doesn’t have any daughters of her own, only sons, she says “over my dead body will they be going to war.”

“Are you telling me that you don’t want your sons to die for transgenderism in Ukraine?” Logan Hall asks, unfortunately only half-joking.

“That is what I’m telling you,” Gonzales responds, adding, “We can’t even defend our own border here in this country, but you want me to talk about sending my son to go die for Ukraine’s border? Absolutely not.”

Hall notes that this is all happening after the government kicked its own members out of the military for refusing to inject themselves with the COVID vaccine.

“They kicked a ton of soldiers out of the army for not taking this experimental vaccine,” Hall says, adding, “they’ve put these transgender admirals in charge, they’ve alienated their fighters. It’s like what other reason would you want to do this for other than to destroy the country?”

We Can’t Pretend The Sexes Are The Same Without Sending Women To War

If our society accepts the faulty premise that there are no differences between men and women, women have no grounds for objecting to compulsory combat duty.

The Military Recruitment Crisis Mirrors America’s Changing Values

Dismal recruitment numbers are more than a Pentagon issue. They reflect our societal values, aspirations, and doubts.

Republicans Are Going To Help Democrats Draft Your Daughters Unless You Raise Cain

Forcing women to fight in a massive war against a major power is not progress, not good for readiness, and not supported by the American people.

'Go straight to hell': Chip Roy delivers tongue-lashing to fellow Congress members after House panel backs requiring women to register for draft

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) blasted fellow Congress members, Democrats and Republicans, in a no-holds-barred harangue. Roy unleashed on his fellow lawmakers after the House Armed Services Committee approved an amendment that would require women to register for the military draft.

On Wednesday night, the House Armed Services Committee voted 35-24 to approve an amendment that would expand registration for the Selective Service System to women. The amendment, led by Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.), would remove references in the current law requiring a "male citizen" register for the Selective Service System and replace it with "citizen." Three Republicans voted with Democrats in supporting the amendment – Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, Jack Bergman of Michigan, and Patrick Fallon of Texas.

The panel's approval of the amendment to require females to register for the draft did not sit well with Roy. The Texas Republican blasted the decision, and said that he didn't trust Congress "to do anything at all," let alone to draft his daughter.

"Message to Republicans & Democrats - including @HouseGOP & @SenateGOP colleagues, I do not trust you to do anything at all, much less say you will draft my daughter to 'non combat' roles," Roy began his Twitter diatribe.

"Why don't I trust you? Let's see. Maybe it's because you (both R&D) have amassed $30 trillion in debt and are blowing through trillions more all while giving lip service to 'balanced budgets' for decades," he continued.

Roy then attacked both political parties for not securing the U.S. southern border, which has affected his home state of Texas. "Fentanyl pouring into our communities… murders, rapes… dead migrants on ranches… all in the false name of compassion," he proclaimed in the lengthy Twitter thread.

Roy claimed fellow Congress members "politicized a virus," adding that Americans were supplied with "wildly varying propaganda about it's origins, the nature of it's communicability, the efficacy of your mandated measures in response including vaccines, and ignoring of treatments."

He then alleged that Congress "destroyed our healthcare system and made it impossible to get the doctor of our choice at a remotely affordable price all in the false name of 'coverage.'"

Roy mentioned how politicians kept Americans in Afghanistan for nearly 20 years, the longest war in U.S. history, and leaders failed to produce an end game to ensure victory. Roy delivered a tongue-lashing to President Joe Biden over his chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, "All while our troops sacrificed, and we set the stage for a gutless President to surrender and empower our enemies."

The congressman was furious that critical race theory was given an opportunity to be taught in classrooms.

"Maybe its because you've funded education bureaucrat after education bureaucrat to teach our kids that American is evil and racist, to take God out of our schools, and otherwise make it impossible for parents to safely turn their children over to the schools," he tweeted on Thursday.

"Maybe it's because you've (both R&D) caused America, despite sitting on a vast reserve of energy supply, to render us less secure economically and less secure against our enemies to appease institutional investors and the Acela corridor cocktail circuit," Roy wrote.

"Now you - including likely 28 GOP House members voting for an NDAA last night to do so - want to draft my daughter and just 'trust you' not to put them into combat? All of DC - all of it - can go straight to hell," Roy concluded with the hashtag "DontDraftOurDaughters."

When a Twitter user proposed abolishing the military draft entirely, Roy sternly responded, "Abolish the draft if you want. But under no circumstances will you draft our wives and daughters. Total, complete, bulls***."

Senate committee advances amendment requiring women to register for the draft with majority GOP support

The Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday approved an amendment to its 2022 defense policy bill that would expand the Selective Service System by requiring women to register for the draft.

The amendment to the Military Selective Service Act was approved by a committee vote of 21-5, with five Senate Republicans opposed, according to Politico reporter Burgess Everett. Eight Republicans on the committee voted in favor of the amendment, which is now attached to the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act, a piece of legislation generally considered by lawmakers to be "must-pass."

The language changing the Selective Service System was authored by Armed Services Committee Chairman Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.), Politico reported. His amendment expands Selective Service registration to "All Americans" and strikes explicit references to males.

In 2015, the Obama administration acted to remove all gender-based restrictions on military service beginning in January 2016. At the time, Armed Services Committee Chairmen Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) and Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) released a joint statement calling on Congress to review the implications of the Obama administration's decision and examine "any changes to the Selective Service Act that may be required as a result of this decision."

With all combat roles open to women, some have argued that there is no reason women should be exempt from conscripted service. Last year, the National Commission on Military National and Public Service recommended that women be made eligible for the draft after being tasked by lawmakers to investigate the matter.

Adult males ages 18-25 are required by law to register with the Selective Service System for conscripted military service in times of war. America's last draft ended in 1973, at the conclusion of the war in Vietnam, and the U.S. military has relied on an all-volunteer force since then.

Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take up a case challenging the constitutionality of excluding women from the draft. The Court said that Congress, which holds the constitutional power to raise armies and navies, is ultimately responsible for setting conscripted service policy and noted that lawmakers were already debating the matter.

"It remains to be seen, of course, whether Congress will end gender-based registration under the Military Selective Service Act," Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in an opinion joined by the other liberal justices. "But at least for now, the Court's longstanding deference to Congress on matters of national defense and military affairs cautions against granting review while Congress actively weighs the issue."

Whether women should be required to register for the draft has been debated in Congress several times, but this is the first time an amendment extending Selective Service registration to women has passed out of committee. In the past, several Republican members of the Armed Services Committee have supported such efforts, including Sens. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). Others, mostly conservatives, have led the opposition.

"Our military has welcomed women for decades and are stronger for it. But America's daughters shouldn't be drafted against their will," Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said in a statement after the vote. "I opposed this amendment in committee, and I'll work to remove it before the defense bill passes."

"It should be our political mission to defeat any member of Congress (Senate or House) in either party who forces this garbage on our daughters. This is a non-starter, and is all out political war," Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) declared on Twitter, tagging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).

"This is it for me. This is a litmus test. Fight this nonsense or we are not on the same team. Abolish the draft if you want ... but draft my daughter you will not," Roy, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, said in a follow-up tweet.

His fierce opposition to drafting women into the military is shared by conservative grassroots leaders.

"Only a wicked and cowardly nation would conscript its daughters into war. Democrats pushing this initiative are wicked and the Republicans who failed to oppose it are cowards," Terri Schilling, president of the American Principles Project, said.

"Republicans who vote to draft our daughters cannot be relied upon to oppose any other harmful items of the Left's woke agenda. Americans oppose the harmful policies of the Democratic Party, but they also don't trust Republicans in effectively opposing the Left's agenda because of moments like this," Schilling added.

"On top of this being harmful to America, it's also incredibly stupid politics. You don't need to be Karl Rove to know that attacking Democrats for conscripting our daughters would be politically beneficial heading into the most crucial midterm elections in recent history. With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats? Thank God for leaders like Sens. Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton for having the stones and brains to stand up against this insane agenda."

Russ Vought, president of the Center for Renewing America, simply commented "No. You are not drafting our daughters."
