NOBODY saw THIS scary detail in Mitch McConnell’s second freeze-up ...

Back in July, Senator Mitch McConnell froze mid-speech at a news conference, leading many to question whether or not he is fit to serve.

But most got over it and moved on.

Until he froze again just a month later.

Ironically, this second incident happened while reporters were asking McConnell whether he was planning on running again.

By now, most of us have seen the video of McConnell going mute and staring like a deer in headlights. It’s truly a tragic situation.

However, most miss this one tiny detail in the video because they are so focused on what McConnell is doing (or shall we say not doing) that they don’t pay attention to what his aide does.

If you go back and watch the video closely, you’ll see McConnell’s aide wink at the sea of reporters as she says, “We’re going to need a minute.”

“I never noticed this in that second clip until I just saw it again,” says Isabel Brown. “His staffer actually winks at the camera … so it's this open joke that we're all aware of and everyone's thinking but nobody's willing to talk about it.”

But we should be talking about it, considering people like Mitch McConnell serve a vital role in the country.

Not to mention “70% of Americans think that the two front-runners for president are too old to be president,” says Isabel.

“McConnell has had so much power for so long,” adds Dave Rubin, “and yet in those freeze-up moments, and we've seen it with Biden too, there is this fear in there because he knows something is wrong, [but] the people around him don't care, and it becomes this self-fulfilling prophecy.”

Alarming video shows Mitch McConnell, 81, freeze up a second time while speaking to reporters

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) experienced another scary freeze-up incident on Wednesday while responding to questions from the media.

At an event in northern Kentucky, McConnell, 81, was fielding questions from reporters when he was asked about running for re-election in 2026.

McConnell, however, did not answer despite a nearby aide loudly repeating the question. The aide told reporters, "I'm sorry, you all. We're gonna need a minute," as a person who appeared to be a member of McConnell's security detail approached the senator and mumbled something into a microphone.

Finally, after more than 30 seconds, McConnell said, "OK." He did not answer the reporter's question about running for re-election.

After the freeze-up, McConnell fielded two more questions, both of which the aide had to repeat in order to prompt a response from McConnell. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, McConnell left the event "very slowly."

"McConnell felt momentarily lightheaded and paused during his press conference today," a spokesperson for the Senate leader said, adding that McConnell now "feels fine" and "as a prudential measure, the Leader will be consulting a physician prior to his next event."

This is the second alarming freeze-up incident involving McConnell.

Last month, McConnell was speaking to the media on Capitol Hill when he stopped speaking mid-sentence. Republican colleagues who flanked McConnell asked whether he was OK before he was led away to his office. McConnell later returned and answered more questions from the media.

At the time, McConnell's office provided a similar excuse for the freeze-up: the senator felt "lightheaded." It's not clear whether McConnell saw a doctor after that incident.

McConnell has experienced several falls this year, including one incident involving a concussion after he fell at a Washington, D.C., hotel. The latest incident will undoubtedly raise more questions about McConnell's health and his ability to fulfill his seventh Senate term.

Old people need to stop running our country

Mitch McConnell’s term runs through 2026, but many aren’t so sure he should be in office at all.

The internet was set ablaze yesterday when McConnell was recorded speaking to reporters at a press conference and then suddenly stopped speaking at all.

The Kentucky senator halted mid-sentence and appeared to stare blankly into the distance before stepping back from the podium and being led away.

“This is what happens when you stay in office forever,” Pat Gray comments, adding, “They’re hell-bent to drop dead in office.”

However, McConnell did make it back to the podium where he faced a few questions regarding what had happened.

A reporter asked McConnell what happened at the beginning of the press conference and earlier this year when he had suffered a concussion.

“I’m fine,” McConnell responded.

“You’re fully able to do your job?” The reporter pressed further.

“We’ve got so many of these situations in Congress. In the presidency, okay? Starts right at the top with Joe Biden. You’ve got Nancy Pelosi who’s been compromised. You have Dianne Feinstein who’s 90, and everybody admits that she’s deep into dementia of some sort,” Gray continues.

Even John Fetterman, who isn’t quite up there in age, has his issues.

Gray believes something needs to be done about this.

“It’s not good for the country. So, maybe we should take that into consideration. Start, I don’t know, being honest that you can’t stay in office indefinitely,” he says.

Mitch McConnell freezes mid-sentence during press conference and is escorted away from podium

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ken.) suffered some kind of health episode mid-sentence during a press conference and was escorted away from the podium by colleagues.

McConnell later said that he was fine after the alarming incident on Wednesday afternoon during his weekly remarks.

"After finishing the NDA, this week, in good bipartisan cooperation, in a string of—" said McConnell before freezing for several seconds.

Republican Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming, who is also a physician, leaned in to ask McConnell if he wanted to pause the conference.

"Hey Mitch. Is there anything else you wanna say, or should we just go back to your office?" said Barrasso. "Do you want to say anything else to the press?”

McConnell appeared to agree to the suggestion and was led away to his office. After some time he returned and answered several questions from the media.

The 81-year-old senator has had previous health concerns, including one incident in March during which he fell and hit his head at an event at at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C. He was hospitalized and treated for broken ribs and a concussion. McConnell also suffered from polio as a child.

A reporter asked McConnell when he returned whether the incident was related to his fall, but he responded only, "No, I'm fine."

A McConnell aide said that he had “felt light-headed and stepped away for a moment.”

McConnell has served in the Senate since 1985 and is up for re-election in 2026, but he has not said whether he plans to retire at the end of his term or run for another six-year term.
