Activist middle-school teacher accused of sending suggestive messages to underage male: 'I'll do my best to wait haha'

A middle-school orchestra teacher in Indiana appears to be under investigation after he reportedly sent inappropriate messages to a local high school student.

Ben Yoder, 37, is the director of orchestras at Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate and Junior High School in Fishers, Indiana, a suburb northeast of Indianapolis. According to a new report from the Daily Signal, Yoder recently contacted a local high school student on Instagram and sent the kid messages hinting that his interest in the young man extended beyond the bounds of the proper student-teacher relationship.

A screenshot taken by a concerned parent suggests that the Instagram account @bennyboobooboo, believed to belong to Yoder, contacted the student via direct message last August, just before the student was to begin his senior year of high school. During their conversation, "Benny" first attempted to ascertain the student's age, asking, "Are you out yet? Or is this senior year?" The student, whose name has not been released on account of his age but who is male and who attends Hamilton Southeastern High School, confirmed that he still has "one more [year] left" of school.

Despite learning that his correspondent was still in high school, Benny then discussed his desire to "get in trouble" with the young man. "I guess it's not quite time to invite you to get in trouble quite yet lol," Benny replied.

When the student pressed Benny to explain what he meant by "trouble," Benny suggested that the juvenile "let [his] imagination run wild." He then added, "Trouble is pretty much whatever you want to make it lol."

"I'll do my best to wait haha," Benny stated.

The Daily Signal admitted that it has not been able "to independently confirm the accuracy of the screenshots, or that the Instagram account belongs to Yoder and is not an impersonation." However, the Instagram account in question has reportedly posted pictures of Yoder and his students for years.

The Daily Signal also claimed that Yoder has previously shared explicit photos and messages on other social media accounts, but that he deleted most of the objectionable posts last May when he was elected to — and then almost immediately resigned from — the vice president position of the Indiana State Teachers Association.

"At the gay strip club," a 2011 tweet from Yoder allegedly stated. "Getting ready to watch co**s swing alllllllll night."

More recently, Yoder pinned a tweet to the top of his alleged Twitter account showing a statement he made in 2020: "My students recite the Pledge of Allegiance each morning, but children who look like me cannot count on the promise of liberty and justice for all."

Other screenshots indicate that Yoder wants greater "representation" of gay people in music and teaching and that he supports teaching kids about so-called "preferred pronouns"

Emily Abbotts, Hamilton Southeastern Schools’ director of school and community relations, told the Daily Signal that the district had received word regarding Yoder's alleged messages through "the district’s anonymous mobile reporting app." Abbotts added that the district investigates "any concerns brought to our attention," but in the interest of preserving "the integrity of this investigation" and to protect the identity of those involved, the district would not discuss the matter "publicly."

The Fishers Police Department likewise stated that officials are "aware of the incident, and we are looking into it."

Yoder has been with the Hamilton Southeastern district for at least 13 years. According to a feature article about Yoder in Ball State University magazine, Yoder, a BSU alum who advocates for "equity and inclusion," was named Indiana's Middle School Music Educator of the Year in 2020.

Yoder did not respond to requests for comment from the Daily Signal.

Bill Maher mocks the left's ridiculous sexuality-gender obsession with 'pride flag' parody

HBO host Bill Maher took aim at the left's ridiculous obsession with sexual orientation and "pride flags" with a little absurdity of his own on a recent episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher."

Maher shared a video clip from his show on Twitter with the caption "Gay pride month is coming up, and we feel at @RealTimers that 96 different Pride flags are just not enough."

In the clip, Maher shared a graphic of "96 pride flags" to represent supposed "sexual orientations," such as Sapiosexual, Rubber Pride, Lithromantic, and Queerplatonic.

"But we feel, at Real Time here, that this is not enough. I'm sorry, it's very exclusionary," Maher joked. "There are some other groups that should be represented. Would you like to see their flags?" he asked, receiving enthusiastic applause.

Maher went on to share his own ridiculous pride flags, including Quasi-homo-modo-sexual, Canisexual, Retrosexual, Literosexual, Doofusexual, and more.

Critics on Twitter gave Maher mixed reviews:

It allows them to claim marginalized status and all of the victimhood that comes with it, which is a powerful currency today.

Purported BLM activists near Ma’Khia Bryant death scene have ominous message for cops: ‘You shoot us, we shoot you’

Purported Black Lives Matter protesters are reportedly threatening to shoot police officers in an "eye for an eye" move following the officer-involved fatal shooting of 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant.

What are the details?

The Daily Caller reported Friday that Black Lives Matter protesters rallied in the streets of Columbus, Ohio, following the teen's death.

In a video, the news organization explained that a video posted to Twitter shows a group of protesters threatening to kill police officers.

"We're not gonna sit here and just sit around while you shoot and kill us and go back to the suburbs," an unidentified male can be heard saying. "We're sick ... maybe it needs to be an eye for an eye."

Members of the crowd responded in agreement, yelling "Yeah!"

The speaker added, "They shoot us, we shoot them! You shoot us, we shoot you!"

The video, shared by Twitter user TheElefentGamer, was captioned, "BLM activists call for assassinations of police in response to the Columbus shooting of an armed teenager."

The video has been viewed more than 10,000 times at the time of this reporting.

What else?

Kiara Yakita, founder of the Black Liberation Movement Central Ohio, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the officer's use of force was unjust because he didn't attempt to de-escalate the situation.

"When I saw the bodycam, I noticed the difference in how they police. When it comes to black people, they do not like to deescalate," Yakita said. "The reaction seems to be to fear black people who are in conflict and to just try to violently stop them."

"There's not many questions asked, there is hardly any time spent trying to identify who's the victim, who's the aggressor, who's the person who even called us here for help in the first place," she added.

Trump calls for boycott of MLB after All-Star Game pulled from Georgia

Former President Donald Trump delivered a scathing rebuke of Major League Baseball's decision to pull its 2021 All-Star Game out of Georgia, calling for a boycott of baseball and all "woke" companies seeking to interfere with voting reforms.

What are the details?

MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred Jr. announced Friday that the league was stripping its All-Star Game and the draft from Atlanta, citing Georgia's recently-passed election law.

The sweeping legislation requires that absentee ballots be verified with photo ID, expands early voting for primary and general elections, and puts added securing measures in place for ballot dropboxes. Gov. Brian Kemp (R) signed the bill into law last week, sparking fury from Democrats who say the reforms restrict voting rights.

Late that night, Trump issued a statement of his own, saying that "baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats who do not want voter I.D., which is desperately needed, to have anything to do with our elections."

"Boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections," he continued, adding, "Are you listening Coke, Delta, and all!"

The former president was not alone in criticizing the MLB for its move. Gov. Kemp reacted to the news by saying that "Georgians — and all Americans — should fully understand what the MLB's knee-jerk decision means: cancel culture and woke political activists are coming for every aspect of your life, sports included."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) posted a list of MLB's official sponsors to his Twitter feed with the message, "These are MLB's corporate sponsors, who pressured to pull the All Star game out of Atlanta. Do all of them oppose voter ID? Are all of them willing to be the woke enforcers of the corrupt Democratic Party? And do all hate the 75m who voted for Trump?"

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) pointed out that MLB has a recruitment deal with communist Cuba, asking the league, "how many dropboxes does Cuba use for early voting?"

Cotton was one of many who pointed out the position MLB has put itself in by trying to punish Georgia over politics.

Reporters were quick to note that several states have more restrictive voting laws than Georgia already on the books, leading to questions over what the MLB's new standards are for a state to host the All-Star Game.
