Ocasio-Cortez blames capitalism for low birth rate and says more immigrants are needed to keep social services afloat

Socialist Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York opined that birth rates are dropping because of capitalism and more immigration was the only solution to keep the social safety afloat.

Ocasio-Cortez made the claim in a video post on social media.

"You take a look at it, there are, and it's not just Japan and South Korea, there are quite a few countries that are really struggling because young people under the burdens of capitalism and under living under a society that's increasingly concentrating wealth among the rich, we're not having kids, and we're not having kids at the same rate," she said.

"And we actually need immigrant populations to help balance things out. We can't continue to fund Social Security, Medicare, all of this stuff without immigrants and it's always been that way," Ocasio-Cortez added. "Don't act like it's some new trend or anything like that."

Ocasio-Cortez has been an outspoken critic of capitalism and advocate for illegal aliens. In 2021, she called on illegal aliens to apply for a child tax credit signed into law by President Joe Biden.

"Any child with a Social Security number is eligible. Do not count yourself because a parent and guardian is undocumented. You just need your individual tax identification number," said Ocasio-Cortez at the time.

The migrant crisis at the border has worsened under Biden's watch. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has reported that more than 2.3 million migrants will have crossed the border for the 2022 fiscal year.

"Failing communist regimes in Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba are driving a new wave of migration across the Western Hemisphere, including the recent increase in encounters at the southwest U.S. border," said Chris Magnus, CBP Commissioner.

He went on to praise Biden for the falling immigration rates among Mexican citizens to the U.S.

Sens. Hawley and Johnson demand investigation into whistleblower's claim that Biden administration set suspected Afghan terrorists loose in the US

Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) are urging for an investigation into the veracity of recent claims made by a Department of Defense whistleblower. The whistleblower has alleged that among the Afghan evacuees released into the U.S. by the Biden administration were 324 individuals on the DOD’s Biometrically Enabled Watchlist.

The BEWL, used for screening purposes, identifies persons whose biometrics have been collected and have been deemed by analysts to be threats or potential threats to national security. The list includes known suspected terrorists.

In their letter to Sean O’Donnell, acting inspector at the DOD, Hawley and Johnson noted they also want investigated the claims that:

 • the White House and DOD officials "directed personnel to cut corners and not conduct full fingerprint tests of Afghan evacuees"; and
 • Department of Homeland Security staff was authorized to delete old biometric data, possibly "compromis[ing] the integrity of existing databases and undermin[ing] national security."

The Epoch Times reported that the DOD previously admitted that the National Counterterrorism Center did not in fact vet all evacuees "using all DOD data prior to arriving in" the U.S.

A Pentagon report issued February 15, 2022, noted that the National Ground Intelligence Center had "identified 50 Afghan personnel in the United States with information in DOD records that would indicate potentially significant security concerns." Some of the Afghan evacuees flagged as possible security concerns could not be located since, according to the NGIC, "there was an issue with either field representatives or operators failing to upload data or maintain devices properly."

In their letter, Hawley and Johnson said that the figure reflecting the number of persons posing significant security concerns was no longer 50, but rather had risen to at least 65. The senators requested that these 65 individuals be "immediately located, fully vetted, and, if appropriate, deported."

— MRCTV (@MRCTV) 1659631091

In an August 4 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Hawley pressed FBI Director Christopher Wray about the FBI's knowledge of the presence of the 324 persons named on the BEWL. Wray said, "There are a number of individuals ... that we are actively trying to investigate."

In the exchange, Wray admitted that the strain put on the vetting process by the short period of time set by the Biden administration for the withdrawal and the large number of people who were being evacuated "inevitably raises concerns."

Over 124,000 people, including 6,000 American citizens, were flown out of Afghanistan. Over 76,000 Afghans were evacuated to the U.S. 95% of these individuals were conferred temporary legal status, permitting them to work and reside in the country for two years. Evacuees can apply for asylum, which can lead to permanent legal status.

According to a spokesperson for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the agency is "streamlining the processing of requests for work authorization, Green Cards, and associated services."

Jean-Pierre insists that Biden is not 'finishing' Trump's wall when Doocy asks about plan to close border wall gaps in Arizona

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday repeatedly insisted that the Biden administration is not finishing President Donald Trump's border wall, even though the administration said it will complete unfinished gaps of wall in Arizona.

Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security announced that four wide gaps in the border wall near the Morelos Dam in the Yuma sector will be completed using funding from the agency's 2021 budget. The decision to complete the project comes after President Joe Biden halted border wall construction upon assuming office and vowed that not a "single foot" of new wall would be built during his time in the White House.

So on Friday, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about the obvious reversal in Biden's policy at the daily White House press briefing

"Why is the Biden administration building a border wall in Arizona?" Doocy asked.

"We are not finishing the wall. We are cleaning up the mess the prior administration left behind in their failed attempt to build a wall," Jean-Pierre said.

She emphasized that the Biden administration returned $8 billion that the Trump administration had diverted from the Department of Defense to fund wall construction.

"We gave that back to the military for military families, for schools, for bases. That's what that money was being used — that's what it was taken away from," she said, neglecting to address the question.

"But President Biden, when he was a candidate, said that 'there will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration.' So what changed?" Doocy followed up.

"We are not finishing the wall," the press secretary insisted.

Doocy tried another approach with his questions.

"If walls work in that part of Arizona, is this the administration trying to get migrants to cross somewhere else, like in Texas? What is the plan?"

Jean-Pierre repeated her previous answer before adding, "we are trying to save lives."

"By finishing the wall, is this —" Doocy began before Jean-Pierre cut him off.

"We are not finishing the wall," she said.

"By filling in? Finishing?" Doocy probed, searching for a word to describe how a previously uncompleted section of physical barrier at the southern border will now be completed under Biden's directive.

"We are not finishing the wall," Jean-Pierre said for the fifth time.

"By filling in the wall, is this racist? Because in 2019, when the former guy was proposing a wall, you said that it was this racist wall. So how is this any different?" Doocy asked.

"I'm not even sure how you get to your first question to this question that you just asked me. I will say this, a border wall ... is ineffective use of taxpayer dollars," Jean-Pierre said. She went on to repeat for the sixth time that the Biden administration is not "finishing" the wall and that it is "cleaning up the mess that the last administration made."

“.@pdoocy destroys the Biden Admin's hypocrisy for building a border wall in AZ.

KJP: We're not finishing the wall. We're fixing the mess of the previous Admin

Doocy: So by filling in the wall, is this racist? You said it was when Trump did it.”
— MRCTV (@MRCTV) 1659120001

DHS explained Thursday that the Biden administration is finishing the border wall in the Yuma sector to "address operational impacts, as well as immediate life and safety risks."

The area where there are gaps in the wall has become among the most highly trafficked crossings by illegal immigrants at the southern border.

DHS is concerned that migrants attempting to cross the border at Morelos Dam are at risk of falling and drowning in the Colorado River. There is also a hazard for Border Patrol agents responding to incidents in the area.

Finishing the wall at the Yuma Morelos Dam Project will hopefully redirect migrants to a safer point of entry where they can be processed for asylum claims or deported after they enter into U.S. custody.

Mark Levin says Supreme Court Roe v. Wade leak is 'grave assault' and warns US 'institutions are going to collapse'

Political commentator Mark Levin said that Monday's leak of a draft majority opinion is a "grave assault" on the Supreme Court.

What are the details?

During Tuesday's "Fox & Friends," Levin addressed Monday's leak of a Supreme Court draft opinion that could potentially overturn 1973's Roe v. Wade.

The news on Monday evening sparked heavy conversation across social media.

"When you conduct yourself in an utterly lawless way, attacking the institutions of this country, attacking the founding documents of this country, attacking the history of this country, this is what you get: lawlessness," he insisted during "Fox & Friends."

He added, ""It's just a matter of time. All these institutions are going to collapse. This is a grave assault on the Supreme Court."

Levin recalled a time when he was an intern to late Chief Justice Warren Burger while attending law school and said that he can't fathom how the leak occurred after having seen the lengths to which the institution went to preserve the integrity of confidentiality.

"I saw how it operated, and I can tell you this institution takes its confidentiality seriously. Why? That's the coin of the realm," he said. "They've got to be able to talk about ideas freely. They've got to be able to discuss this without political pressure. Why do people think these are lifetime appointments?"

The political commentator later added that the Democratic Party is complicit in "destroying this country" and said that they are fighting Republicans every step of the way.

"Of course, the Democrat Party is destroying this country," he reasoned. "Look at the confirmation process. It started with Bork. The Democrats targeted him under [Sen. Ted] Kennedy and Biden, and it moves on to others, including Clarence Thomas, including Kavanaugh. Republicans don't treat Democrat nominees this way. They may object to them. When you say the Supreme Court doesn't look like America, you're undermining the credibility of the court.

Piers Morgan lauds Musk's Twitter purchase after Musk pans 'woke mind virus': He is a 'flag-bearer' for free speech

Fox Nation host Piers Morgan spoke up in support of Elon Musk's Twitter purchase on Monday and said that such a move is good because Musk is a "flag-bearer" for free speech.

Musk acquired Twitter on Monday for $44 billion.

What's a brief history here?

Beyond the Twitter sale, Musk most recently made headlines for saying he believed Netflix was nosediving because it succumbed to the "woke mind virus."

He wrote, "The woke mind virus is making Netflix unwatchable."

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO added that he believed the "virus" was perhaps the biggest threat to modern civilization — a notion with which Morgan agreed on Monday.

What are the details?

During Monday's broadcast of "Fox & Friends," Morgan said, "Elon Musk is an absolute flag-bearer for free speech. He talks about this woke mindset virus. And think he is right. It is a virus. If you go around wanting to destroy everything that gets in your way that you don’t agree with, then you become a really dangerous thing in a society."

He added that Musk will be instrumental in returning free speech to the social media platform, and pointed out what he said was a double standard of banning former President Donald Trump from the platform while the likes of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Taliban are still permitted to use their accounts.

"How can that be right? How can it be justified?" he mused. "A social media platform allows them accounts, but bans Donald Trump. So I think you will see if Elon Musk takes control, I think you’ll see a much more tolerant view of all manner of people’s ... right to free speech, not just on the left but also on the right, who tend to be the only people that get no-platformed by Twitter and Facebook."

Ted Cruz GRILLS Ketanji Brown Jackson on CRT. Twitter reacts: 'That's racist'

During Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's Supreme Court confirmation hearing on Tuesday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) grilled Jackson about her views on critical race theory.

Jackson first denied ever having studied critical race theory and claimed it “doesn’t come up in the work that I do as a judge.”

"I've never studied critical race theory, and I've never used it. It doesn't come up in the work that I do as a judge," Jackson stated.

"With respect, I find that a curious statement," Cruz responded. He then read a quote from her saying that critical race theory is, in fact, part of her work as judge during a speech at the University of Chicago in 2015.

"[S]entencing is just plain interesting ... because it melds together myriad types of of law — criminal law ... constitutional law, [and] critical race theory ..." read Jackson's quote, according to Cruz.

"You described, in a speech to a law school, what you were doing as critical race theory," Cruz said. "So, I guess I would ask, what did you mean by that?"

Jackson said she was not talking about "sentencing" in her quote, but "sentencing policy," and repeated that "none of that relates to what I do as a judge."

— MRCTV (@MRCTV) 1647975614

Cruz then moved on to discussing Ibram X. Kendi’s children’s book, “Antiracist Baby.” Jackson is on the Board of Trustees at Georgetown Day School — a private school in Washington, D.C. — that Cruz claims assigns Kendi's book to students as young as four years old.

Pointing out that in “Antiracist Baby” Kendi says children should confess when being racist, Cruz asked Jackson, “Do you agree with this book that’s being taught with kids that babies are racist?"

After a long pause, Jackson answered, “I do not believe that any child should be made to feel as though they are racist, or as though they are not valued, or that they are less than, that they are victims, that they are oppressors. I don’t believe in any of that.”

Quite a few folks on Twitter took exception to Cruz's line of questioning:

The libs: You can't talk about critical race theory outside of a legal context.

Cruz: OK, I'll ask a Supreme Court nominee about critical race theory.

The libs: No, that's racist.

Should Cruz ask her about her high school yearbook?https://twitter.com/JordanUhl/status/1506344710176219151 …

As Russian invasion of Ukraine demands urgency, Biden says, 'Let's have a conversation in another month or so to see' if new sanctions are 'working'

President Joe Biden responded Thursday afternoon to Russia's rapid full-scale invasion of Ukraine by announcing new sanctions against the warring nation. However, when pressed on what else he would do to confront Russia over its warmongering, the president suggested only that the U.S. wait "another month or so" to see if the sanctions "are working."

The lackluster response is sure to spark widespread criticism amongst the American people and allies around the world for not matching the urgency of the moment.

Biden says we will have "a conversation in another month or so to see if" his sanctions are working.pic.twitter.com/xjdG7u9tXO
— MRCTV (@MRCTV) 1645730227

Biden delivered the remarks while speaking with reporters in the East Room of the White House Thursday in response to Russia's military invasion of Ukraine.

During the speech, Biden announced that the U.S. and its NATO allies would swiftly sanction more major Russian banks and impose export controls to curtail Russia's access to high tech as a way to punish the Kremlin for its "premeditated attack." He declared the new measures would be "devastating" for Russia by limiting the country's ability to do business "in dollars, pounds, euros, and yen."

But when a reporter noted that Putin had thus far been undeterred by sanctions and that Biden was in fact still withholding other sanctions at his disposal — such as removing Russia from SWIFT, a prominent international banking cooperative — Biden balked.

"Respectfully, sir, what more are you waiting for?" the reporter asked. In under 24 hours, Russia has reportedly destroyed 74 Ukrainian military installations and begun attacking civilian facilities en route to overthrowing the government in Kyiv.

Biden answered by alleging that his new sanctions are plenty powerful and suggested that before taking any more aggressive action against Russia, the U.S. should adopt a wait-and-see approach.

"Let's have a conversation in another month or so to see if they are working," he said of the current sanctions.

Other reporters pressed Biden on his refusal so far to personally sanction Russian President Vladimir Putin. In response, the president refused to answer why he hasn't taken such an approach, saying only that it remains "on the table."

At another time during the press conference, Biden acknowledged that sanctions were never expected to prevent Russia from attacking. But he said they may prove, in time, to sting Russia for their bad behavior.

Meanwhile, a senior U.S. defense official is reporting that Russia is advancing on Ukraine's capital with "every intention of basically decapitating the government and installing their own method of governance."

According to Ukraine, at least 40 troops and up to 10 civilians have been killed thus far in the assault. Many more casualties are expected.

Kamala Harris slammed for comparing Jan. 6 to Pearl Harbor bombing and 9/11 terror attacks: 'As outrageous and offensive as it gets'

On the first anniversary of the riot at the U.S. Capitol building, Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech comparing the events of Jan. 6 to the bombing of Pearl Harbor that catapulted the United States into World War II and the world-altering terrorist attacks that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001.

"Certain dates echo throughout history, including dates that instantly remind all who have lived through them where they were, and what they were doing, when our democracy came under assault," Harris began her address at Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol on Thursday morning.

Harris then recalled dark dates in American history, "Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendars, but a place in our collective memory: Dec. 7, 1941, Sept. 11, 2001, and Jan. 6, 2021."

Harris said the for "extremists who roamed these halls," what they were out to "degrade and destroy was not only a building" but they were also assaulting "the institutions, the values, the ideals that generations of Americans have marched, picketed, and shed blood to establish and defend."

Harris claimed that the riot exposed "the fragility of democracy" in the United States because of "the very fact of how close we came to an election overturned."

"The fragility of our democracy is this: If we are not vigilant, if we do not defend it, democracy simply will not stand. It will falter, and it will fail," Harris said.

"On January 6th, we all saw what our nation would look like if the forces who seek to dismantle our democracy are successful," she continued. "The lawlessness, the violence, the chaos. What was at stake then, and now, is the right to have our future decided the way the Constitution prescribes it: by we, the people — all the people."

Harris applauded her fellow politicians for certifying the presidential election the night of "the violent assault" that interrupted Congress.

"Yet, the resolve I saw in our elected leaders when I returned to the Senate chamber that night — their resolve not to yield, but to certify the election, their loyalty, not to party or person, but to the Constitution of the United States — that reflects its strength," she said.

— Townhall.com (@Townhall.com) 1641479611

Numerous online commentators found the comparison of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to the deadly attacks on Pearl Harbor and on Sept. 11 to be completely outrageous and downright offensive.

Director of communications for Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) Harrison Fields: "As the son of a 9/11 first responder & survivor, & as someone who experienced the tragedy of 1/06, I can tell you unequivocally—1/06 was NOT & will NEVER be comparable to 9/11. To hear the @VP compare the 6th to 9/11 is a slap in the face to 9/11 survivors & heroes like my mom."

Writer Josh Jordan: "Putting January 6th in the same category of Pearl Harbor and 9/11 is ridiculous. What happened a year ago was terrible, but let's not compare it to two events that killed thousands of Americans and led to wars around the world."

Author Matthew Betley: "I don’t take anything the stupendously incompetent @VP says, but comparing January 6 to Pearl Harbor is as outrageous and offensive as it gets, especially to World War II veterans who know what a real attack looks like. Shame on #KamalaHarris."

Outkick founder Clay Travis: "Kamala Harris said January 6th is the equivalent of Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Honest question, does anyone actually believe this, even the most idoitic left winger on the planet? This is one of the dumbest historical analogies I have ever seen."

Digital strategist Greg Price: "When a two-hour riot happened at the Capitol, Kamala Harris compared it to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. When neighborhoods in Minneapolis were burned to the ground, Kamala Harris helped raise bail money for the people who did it."

Conservative commentator John Cardillo: "9/11: 2977 innocents dead Pearl Harbor: 2403 Americans dead Jan 6th: One death. Unarmed Ashli Babbitt killed by an inept Capitol cop, @KamalaHarris’s comparison is disgraceful and insults the memories of those we lost."

The Pearl Harbor attack took place when a Japanese strike force consisting of more than 420 aircraft launched a surprise offensive on the U.S. military stationed at the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. Within an hour and 15 minutes, 2,403 U.S. military personnel were killed in the attack and another 1,178 were wounded. Six U.S. ships were sunk or destroyed, plus another 16 damaged. There were 169 U.S. Navy and Army Air Corps planes that were obliterated and another 159 damaged.

The death toll of the 9/11 attacks is 2,974 people – the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil in U.S. history. Since the Sept. 11 terror attacks, 7,052 U.S. military members and 8,189 U.S. contractors were "killed directly in the violence of the U.S. post-9/11 wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and elsewhere," according to a study by Brown University’s Costs of War project and the Center for International Policy. The Pentagon has spent $14 trillion since 9/11. The World Trade Center Health Program – a federal health program administered by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health that provides medical monitoring and treatment of World Trade Center-related health conditions for 9/11 responders and survivors – found that 25% of 9/11 first responders ages 55-64 have at least one kind of cancer and 33% of the same age bracket of 9/11 first responders suffer from aerodigestive illness (conditions or diseases that affect the airways and upper digestive tract).

White House press secretary Jen Psaki went into damage control when asked about the vice president's controversial comparison.

"If we look back to some very difficult moments of our history, back in 1861, there were no Confederate flags being waved in the Capitol," Psaki said during Thursday's press conference. "In very dark moments in our history, there were not people storming our nation's Capitol trying to take over the office and even threaten the speaker of the House."

Psaki then advised that anyone criticizing Kamala Harris for making comparisons to major historical events stop making comparisons to major historical events, despite attempting to defend the vice president for doing just that.

"Instead of focusing on or analyzing comparisons of moments in history, I would suggest they be a part of solving the threats of democracy that occurs today," Psaki said.

'COVID optics:' Confused NFL fans react to Erin Andrews conducting socially distanced interview with Aaron Rodgers then hugging him afterward

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke the illustrious franchise's record for touchdown passes on Christmas Day. However, many NFL fans were talking about the socially distanced interview with the star QB following the game.

Rodgers threw for 202 yards to lead the Packers in a tight 24-22 win over the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field on Saturday night. Rodgers also tossed three touchdowns — giving him a total of 445 career TDs — breaking Brett Favre's franchise record for touchdowns.

Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews interviewed Rodgers after the game. The post-game interview with Rodgers and the NFL sideline reporter was socially distanced by at least six feet. However, moments after the interview, perhaps when the reporter thought that the cameras weren't rolling, Rodgers and Andrews embraced in a hug.

Libertarian commentator Eric July: "We just watched Erin Andrews give a socially distanced interview… then after it, hugged Aaron Rodgers after the interview was done. Hahahahahahahahahahhaa."

Sports talk show host Donnie Seymour: "Erin Andrews and Aaron Rodgers have to do an interview separated by 10 ft because of Covid Optics. After the interview is over they high five and hug. Hahahhaha."

Radio talk show host Colin Dunlap: "Erin Andrews stood like 10 feet from Aaron Rodgers on camera. Interview ends. Erin Andrews hugs Aaron Rodgers. All on national TV. And we wonder why the country is confused as hell."

Sportswriter Bill Burt: "LOL Fox Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews does the fake 6-feet thing in interviewing Aaron Rodgers then hugs him afterward. As long as we’re all on the same page of fakeness, I’m good."

Sports editor Alex Reimer: "Erin Andrews hugging Aaron Rodgers at the end of a socially distanced interview is the TV equivalent of wearing your mask on the way to the table and then taking it off for the rest of the meal."

Former sports anchor Justin Beasley: "Erin Andrews stands 10-feet away then hugs Aaron Rodgers. It’s all a show people."

Radio host Scot Bertram: "Thank goodness Aaron Rodgers and Erin Andrews kept six feet apart during the interview to stay safe ... before exchanging a hug together afterward."

Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 last month, but was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list just 10 days later — the earliest he was eligible to return. The three-time MVP QB was harangued by the media, sports talking heads, and some fans for not being vaccinated against coronavirus. Rodgers never specifically said he was vaccinated against COVID-19, but previously described himself as "immunized." Rodgers said he has an allergy to an ingredient in the mRNA vaccines.

Rodgers was also maligned for seeking treatments from doctors as well as Joe Rogan, who was also unvaccinated when he caught COVID-19 but recovered after three days. Rodgers said he took therapeutics such as zinc, vitamins C and D, and monoclonal antibodies.

Earlier this week, Rodgers blasted the NFL's COVID-19 protocols.

"The one frustration I have is that throughout all of this there hasn't been any conversation about health," Rodgers said on "The Pat McAfee Show." "I don't understand why society and the NFL hasn't talked about legitimate COVID treatment options."

"I just wish there was more conversation about health and around treatment options moving forward and I hope there will be," Rodgers said on Tuesday.

Jen Psaki is asked if Biden will apologize to Kyle Rittenhouse for tying him to white supremacists — and she leaps into spin mode, points finger at Trump

Part of a White House press secretary's job is using spin and deflection in order to avoid answering uncomfortable questions.

Jen Psaki is as good at it as any of her predecessors, and given President Joe Biden's failures and myriad of problems throughout his first year in office, she's gotten quite a bit of practice.

And the Psaki spin-fest was revved up into high gear Tuesday when Fox News' Peter Doocy asked if Biden will "ever apologize to the acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse for suggesting online and on TV that he is a white supremacist?"

How did Psaki answer?

Check out Psaki's non-answer:

Well, let's be clear what we're talking about here. This is about a campaign video released last year that used President Trump's own words during a debate as he refused to condemn white supremacists and militia groups. And President Trump, as we know from history and as many of you covered, didn't just refuse to condemn militia groups on the debate stage, he actively encouraged them throughout his presidency. So ... what we've seen are the tragic consequences of that when people think it's OK to take the law into their own hands instead of allowing law enforcement to do its job. And the president believes in condemning hatred, division, and violence. That's exactly what was done in that video.

By the way, Biden's campaign video she mentioned uses an image of Rittenhouse carrying his rifle as audio of Fox News' Chris Wallace, the debate moderator, runs over top asking then-President Donald Trump if he condemns white supremacists and militia groups. Here's the tweet:

There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night.pic.twitter.com/Q3VZTW1vUV
— Joe Biden (@Joe Biden) 1601465700

"There's no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night," the tweet's accompanying text stated.

Doocy tried pushing back, arguing that Biden elsewhere incorrectly stated that Rittenhouse was part of a militia group and stating that Rittenhouse accused Biden of "actual malice" in his commentary.

But Psaki kept the spin going and turned her finger-pointing to the "Proud Boys and groups that [Rittenhouse] has posed in photos with. But beyond that I'll leave it to his comments around the verdict."

Indeed, Biden's comments following Rittenhouse's trial didn't exactly come across as even-handed, as the president said he was "angry and concerned" over the not-guilty verdict. On Friday he also "declined to share whether he stands by an earlier suggestion that Rittenhouse is a white supremacist," Axios reported.

At the same time support has exploded for Rittenhouse to sue Biden, other elected officials, and media outlets for defamation.

How did folks react to Psaki's spin moves?

Commenters on Twitter were not fooled by the press secretary's words:

 • "She still cannot come out and admit it, of course," one Twitter commenter wrote. "And once again she essentially aligned Rittenhouse in a subtle way with the Proud Boys. Dancing around this issue."
 • "It's sad that half the US & half the world trust sick people like this," another user lamented.
 • "When will this party stand up and take responsibility and quit blaming others?" another commenter asked.
 • "She answered the question by not answering. OF COURSE NOT is the answer," another user declared. "Biden 'bout to make Kyle a filthy rich young man. SUE EVERYBODY, KYLE!"
