Mainstream media turns a blind eye to vicious stabbing of young Ukrainian woman

The mainstream media made their bias known after refusing to cover the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee.

Iryna Zarutska was brutally victimized on a train in North Carolina on August 22, suffering stab wounds in the throat before eventually being declared dead at the scene. Zarutska's alleged stabber was later identified as 34-year-old Decarlos Brown, who was charged with first-degree murder in relation to the case.

'This is a greater outrage than the death of every BLM martyr combined times a thousand.'

Records from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department show that Brown has repeatedly been arrested and convicted of serious offenses, including armed robbery and felony larceny.

News of Zarutska's death rapidly spread online and sparked outrage, yet mainstream media outlets outside of local news have continued to ignore the story entirely.

Critics have pointed to the media's double standard when it comes to covering politically convenient tragedies. Mainstream outlets amplified the death of George Floyd in 2020, writing tens of thousands of articles related to the incident. The same publications that gave wall-to-wall coverage of Floyd's death are now turning a blind eye to Zarutska's.

"Despite the release of an explosive video that has received massive public outcry, as of 4:45 pm eastern today, NONE of our major news outlets except @FoxNews have covered the murder of Iryna Zarutska," the Daily Wire's Megan Basham said in a post on X on Sunday. "Not one."

"This is a greater outrage than the death of every BLM martyr combined times a thousand," the Daily Wire's Matt Walsh said in a post on X.

Other commentators like Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk have pointed to race as a predominant factor in the media's selective coverage. Kirk argues that the difference in coverage between Zarutska's murder and Floyd's death ultimately comes down to whether the narrative is politically convenient.

"Dear CNN, WaPo, NYT, ABC, NBC etc etc," Kirk said in a post on X Sunday. "If you want to know why your ratings are in the tank and no one likes you, look no further than the brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska who moved to US to escape war in Ukraine, a story you refuse to tell.

"Sadly she couldn’t survive the Democrats’ criminal justice system," Kirk added. "Yet you wouldn’t shut up or stop villainizing Daniel Penny, a hero, who probably stopped a murder just like [hers]. Why? Because he was a straight white American male and the perp was black. Shame on you. Genuinely."

Americans Shouldn’t Have To Pay For Secret Service To Follow Kamala Around On Her Book Tour

You won’t hear it from the corporate media, but former Vice President Kamala Harris has already had a longer Secret Service detail than other former vice presidents. President Donald Trump ended that on Friday before she could leech more American taxpayer dollars on a multi-city book tour to talk about her failed presidential campaign. Former […]

Motive Of Trans Shooter Who Killed Christians Is Not A ‘Mystery’

When the truth is right in front of them, clear as day, you can bet on the corporate media ignoring it as an expression of fealty to 'transgender' ideology.

By His Own Logic, Schiff Is Inciting Violence Against The FBI By Criticizing Bolton Raid

California Sen. Adam Schiff declared on Sunday that the FBI’s raid on former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton’s home was “clearly retribution.” But if criticizing FBI raids amounts to inciting violence, then Schiff is guilty of the very offense he once accused President Donald Trump of committing. The FBI searched Bolton’s home on Friday […]

Paint fades, prayer endures in the NFL

Last Tuesday evening, my wife and I settled in for our annual fall ritual: the premiere of “Hard Knocks.” Some couples watch sitcoms. We bond over football. When Liev Schreiber’s voice kicks in, summer is slipping away, and the beer fridge is filling up.

We’ve watched for years, but this season felt different. The cameras didn’t linger on helmets crashing or coaches barking. Instead, they caught quieter moments: a player brushing off sweat, another flipping open a devotional. The message wasn’t painted in the end zone. It was lived out on the field.

End-zone paint doesn’t move people. Faith lived out in the open does.

That stands in sharp contrast to the NFL’s other big announcement: the return of slogans painted in end zones — “End Racism,” “It Takes All of Us,” and other socially conscious slogans. The league insists they matter. The results? Unclear. A stenciled phrase doesn’t change lives. A lived-out faith does.

Consider New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields. He recently admitted, “I’m low-key addicted to getting in my Bible.” He credits that daily habit for keeping him grounded when the noise grows loud.

In Houston, Coach DeMeco Ryans has helped make Bible studies a regular feature for the Texans. Nearly 40 players, coaches, and staff now attend. Quarterback C.J. Stroud thanks “my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ” during interviews. NBC cut that phrase from a broadcast last season, but it hasn’t stopped him from saying it again.

“Hard Knocks” has become the best proof yet. In the first episode, backup cornerback Christian Benford prayed over an injured rookie, his words audible as trainers worked: “Heavenly Father, please give him strength. ... As we’re weak, bless everything we do. ... In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”

HBO aired the prayer uncut. No sound bite, no irony — just a moment of faith in full view of teammates and millions of fans.

Episode two showed Damar Hamlin praying, thanking God for “focus, fellowship, brotherhood.” His devotional book sat in his hands, battered and beloved. Its frayed edges testified louder than any press release.

It’s impossible not to recall Tim Tebow. A decade ago, he was mocked for praying on the field. “Tebowing” became a late-night punchline. But Tebow’s courage made public faith in football possible. Today, players pray without irony — and with far less ridicule.

The league points to its Inspire Change program, which has directed more than $460 million to nonprofits. Good. But the slogans? They’re background noise. As the Babylon Bee joked, “NFL Hoping 3rd Year of ‘End Racism’ Painted in End Zone Will Do the Trick.” The gag works because it highlights the gulf between gestures and genuine transformation.

The real transformation is happening elsewhere: in chapels, prayer huddles, and well-worn Bibles. These acts don’t just polish the league’s image. They shape the men who play the game — building character, humility, and unity in a way a slogan never could.

Sitting on the couch with my wife, I felt the difference. End-zone paint doesn’t move people. Faith lived out in the open does.

Painted slogans fade. Prayer changes hearts. If the NFL wants to inspire change, it should keep showing the moments that can’t be scripted — players living out their faith with quiet acts of devotion, one prayer at a time, and far more enduring than any PR campaign.

MSNBC’s embarrassing rebrand to MS NOW can’t bury THESE cringey clips

On August 18, MSNBC announced plans to rebrand as MS NOW, which stands for My Source News Opinion World, severing ties with NBCUniversal and dropping the iconic peacock logo to emerge as an independent progressive news outlet under the new media company Versant.

According to Versant CEO Mark Lazarus, cutting the peacock’s feathers is about liberating MS NOW from NBC News’ broader journalistic brand, freeing the network to double down on its progressive preaching.

Or they’re repacking the same woke nonsense because the cable news network’s ratings are abysmal.

In either case, Sara Gonzales, BlazeTV host of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered,” gleefully skewers the progressive network’s desperate scramble for relevance.

In this episode, Sara plays three clips that remind us why MSNBC is a failure of epic proportions. “Let’s just reminisce; let’s bask in some of the lowlights of MSNBC,” she giggles.

‘Morning Joe’ break-time tantrum

In 2015 when President Trump was a GOP presidential candidate, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, hosts of “Morning Joe,” interviewed him on his proposal to pause Muslim immigration as a temporary security measure.

Scarborough and Trump clashed hugely over this issue, leading to a nasty back-and-forth and ultimately Scarborough threatening to cut to a commercial.

In the middle of Trump explaining the need to “get our hands around a very difficult situation,” Scarborough, clearly flustered, interjected, “You can’t just talk. No, you got to let us actually ask questions. You’re just talking.”

The comment sparked contentious sparring, with an enraged Scarborough eventually cutting to a commercial, saying, “Go to break. Go to break right now.”

“Who won that pissing contest? President Trump is now the 47th president after being the 45th president, Joe. How do you like them apples?” Sara laughs.

Maddow’s melodramatic meltdown

Earlier this month, Rachel Maddow in a segment of “The Rachel Maddow Show” titled “It’s Not Coming, It’s Here,” delivered a lie-riddled monologue about President Trump.

“We do now live in a country that has an authoritarian leader in charge. We have a consolidating dictatorship in our country. And it sounds melodramatic to say it, I know,” she sighed theatrically.

“You don’t even realize what a dictator is because here’s what I can tell you. Number one, it’s definitely not somebody who was elected with an overwhelming majority — 77 million votes, won all of the swing states,” Sara says.

“And number two, it definitely doesn’t portray you as smart to be carrying water for Donald Trump’s predecessor, who of course told everyone that they weren’t allowed to earn a living, earn a paycheck, feed their families if they didn’t get an injection into their bodies.”

(Another) racist Reid rant

While Joy Reid mercifully left MSNBC in February, she’s still putting out content that proves why the network is a catastrophic failure.

Last week on Wajahat Ali’s “The Left Hook” podcast in an episode titled “How Mediocre White Men and Their Fragility Are Destroying America,” Reid snapped, “They can’t originally invent anything more than they were ever able to invent good music.”

“They” is, of course, referring to white people.

“White people have invented the light bulb, the telephone, the automobile. Seems kind of useful, right? ... Newtonian physics, the sport of basketball, photography, the flushing toilet, and blue jeans. But hey, who’s counting, right?” Sara laughs.

To see the clips and hear more of Sara’s commentary, watch the episode above.

Embarrassment for MSNBC As It’s Forced To Drop Prestigious ‘NBC’ From Name in Favor of Widely Mocked ‘My Source News Opinion World’

MSNBC suddenly announced a name change Monday morning, saying it will be called My Source News Opinion World (MS NOW) following the impending spinoff from its parent company Comcast. That change comes as an embarrassment to the left-wing network—though NBCUniversal executives said the move was meant to ease "brand confusion," CNBC will keep its name, suggesting NBC is aiming to create unique separation between itself and MSNBC.

Changing Names Won’t Fix MSNBC’s Reputation As A Left-Wing Propaganda Machine

MSNBC may be undergoing a major rebranding, but its role as a left-wing propaganda operation is here to stay. On Monday, the network announced that it will be transitioning to “My Source News Opinion World,” or “MS NOW” later this year. The name change comes as part of the outlet’s move to Versant, a new […]

Is DC Crime at a 30-Year Low? Mainstream Media Outlets Cite Police Data To Say Yes—Without Noting a Commander Is on Leave for Allegedly Falsifying That Data.

After President Donald Trump announced a federal crackdown on lawlessness in Washington, D.C., mainstream media outlets and Democratic politicians claimed violent crime in the nation’s capital has "fallen sharply" and has reached a "30-year low." Their claims, though, rest on questionable police data that local leaders are accused of falsifying to play down the city's violent crime problem. The Metropolitan Police Department recently suspended a commander for allegedly manipulating that data, a fact the mainstream reports excluded.
