Massive crowd of Hamas sympathizers vows to disrupt Christmas 'as usual,' causes havoc in NYC Saturday

Groups sympathetic to terror organization Hamas planned and executed a massive rally in New York City on Saturday after vowing to disrupt the Christmas holiday as a means of encouraging people to join the largely anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. The groups, including radical liberal groups People's Forum and Palestinian Youth Movement, organized the protests, which drew huge crowds to Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, which disrupted traffic and doubtless left numerous already-panicked last minute shoppers disgruntled at the disruption.

Still, this was the groups' explicit goal, as they intended to ensure that there would be no Christmas "as usual" as long as people continue to support Israel. Apparently believing that ruining people's Christmas was a good way to generate public support for their cause, groups such as 'Mothers for Justice in Palestine' and the Long Island chapter of the 'Party for Socialism and Liberation' joined in the march.

The protesters were seen unfurling banners targeting companies that do business with Israel in an attempt to intimidate them into boycotts of the only democracy in the Middle East.

Users took to social media to document the marching crowds.

This marked the second time in less than a week that New York City was disrupted by Hamas protests. Earlier this week crowds of Hamas sympathizers clogged mass transit hubs, causing major disruptions throughout the city.

Video: Motorist intentionally hits NYPD traffic agent who issued parking ticket

Surveillance video caught the moment a motorist intentionally hit a New York City Police Department traffic agent from behind last week in Brooklyn.

What are the details?

The NYPD said a traffic agent issued a parking ticket to the driver of a white Ford van in East Flatbush on Friday morning, WNYW-TV reported.

Two men exited the van and physically assaulted the officer following a dispute, the station said.

One suspect got back into the van, and the other got into a black Infiniti, WNYW said — and as they fled the scene, the Infiniti driver struck the agent from behind with the car.

The incident happened at 11:31 a.m. in front of a Glenwood Road business, police told WPIX-TV, adding that when NYPD officers arrived, they found the agent in the roadway with “injuries throughout the body.”

Police sources added to WPIX that the agent suffered a head injury.

The agent was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, the New York Post reported. The traffic agent sustained injuries to his arm and leg and was bleeding from his face, WABC-TV reported.

The agent's injuries were said to be non-life threatening, WNYW said.

Anything else?

While investigators soon after found the van, they were still hunting for the suspects, WNYW added.

Police released a wanted poster with photos of the man they say struck the agent with the car, WABC said:

WABC said assaulting a traffic agent comes with felony charges, and those with information are asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

NYC veterans vow to sue city if Memorial Day parade is barred, point out Black Lives Matter protests and cannabis event were permitted: 'Slap in the face'

A veterans' group is threatening to sue New York City if they are not permitted to hold its annual Memorial Day parade. The United Staten Island Veterans' Organization was denied a permit for the parade, and the group is highlighting a double standard. American military service members are barred from marching in a patriotic parade, yet Black Lives Matter protesters were not only allowed, but encouraged, to hold protests throughout the city for the last year.

This year's Memorial Day parade would be the 102nd running of the distinguished procession to celebrate American service members. This year's parade was specifically going to honor Gulf War veterans since it is the conflict's 30th anniversary.

The United Staten Island Veterans' Organization, an association of 16 local veterans' groups that has sponsored the annual event for decades, filed a request for a parade permit with the New York Police Department on Feb. 27, according to Staten Island Live. The vets' group estimated that approximately 1,000 participants would "march down Forest Avenue from Hart Boulevard to Greenleaf Avenue, a 18-block stretch of the leafy commercial street in West Brighton," the New York Post reported. However, the NYPD denied their request to hold the parade.

The Memorial Day parade was denied because of Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's executive order signed last year restricting public events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The United Staten Island Veterans' Organization points out that Black Lives Matter protests, which have at times escalated into violent riots, have been allowed since May 28, 2020, in reaction to the death of George Floyd.

Last July, the far-left de Blasio argued that Black Lives Matter rallies were permitted while other events were not, "This is a historic moment of change. We have to respect that but also say to people the kinds of gatherings we're used to, the parades, the fairs — we just can't have that while we're focusing on health right now."

The United Staten Island Veterans' Organization note that the Big Apple hosted the New York City Cannabis Parade on May 1. About 200 weed enthusiasts marched down Broadway with a giant inflatable marijuana joint. The Cannabis Parade organizers received a permit from the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, and rally spokesman Stu Zakim gloated, "We had a police escort the whole way, they shut traffic down, all that stuff."

The marijuana event was not only allowed by New York City, but also had high-ranking government officials in attendance, including Democratic New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and Attorney General Letitia James.

The United Staten Island Veterans' Organization plans to sue the city over the decision to prohibit veterans from participating in the Memorial Day parade.

"Under the equal protection clause, it's unconstitutional for the city to pick and choose between groups like this," attorney Brendan Lantry, who is working pro bono for the Staten Island vets, said. "There's a clear double standard going on here."

"All we ask for is fairness under the law," John Haynes, CEO of the USIVO, said.

"It's a slap in the face," Jamie Gonzalez, a Marine infantryman who saw combat during Operation Desert Storm, said. "For many of us, a parade is a form of closure. We gather together and support each other."

"I'm incensed," Ted Cohen, an 82-year-old retired Air Force reservist, said. "It's pathetic."

"We have accommodated hundreds of marches, protests and other gatherings even without permits," NYPD Deputy Commissioner John Miller said. "Any group where the event is planned, the NYPD was made aware and it was conducted peacefully has been accommodated."

VIDEO: Activists and cops clash in NYC; Central Park statues vandalized with anti-police graffiti

Social justice demonstrations in New York City deteriorated into physical altercations with NYPD officers and a Central Park statue dedicated to American sailors who lost their lives was desecrated with anti-police graffiti.

Hundreds of activists and protesters marched Thursday night in New York City, with some carrying signs that read "Justice for Ma'Khia Bryant," others waving Black Lives Matter flags, and some were part of a black trans lives matter demonstration, according to the Daily Mail.

"The crowd was part of the Stonewall Protests, which gathers weekly outside the iconic Greenwich Village bar," the New York Post reported. "The group describes itself as "black queer and black trans activists centered on the acknowledgment of all black life" on Instagram."

At one point, there were tense confrontations between dozens of protesters and police officers. Protesters converged near Central Park, where they appear to wave flags for the counties of Nigeria and Jamaica, as well as Black Lives Matter, and one that represents the transgender community. Vandals defaced the USS Maine Monument with red paint made to look like blood and anti-police terms such as "ACAB (All Cops Are Bastards)" and "F*** 12," which is an anti-law enforcement slogan often used by Antifa members.

"We respect's everyone right to peacefully protest, but vandalism is not part of peaceful protest," the New York Police Department wrote on Twitter. "We are working to de-escalate the situation to prevent further damage from occurring."

Six people were arrested by the NYPD on charges ranging from assault to damage to public property, WABC-TV reported. No injuries to demonstrators or police, a police spokesman told Fox News.

Staten Island GOP hoodwinks Trump rally saboteurs into donating thousands to Republican Party

The leadership of the Staten Island GOP definitely subscribes to the age-old adage, "Turnabout is fair play." When thousands of teens on TikTok attempted to sabotage a Trump rally, the organizers turned the tables and tricked them into donating to the Republican Party.

The Staten Island Republican Party organized the "TRiUMPh Rally," billed as the "largest pro-Trump, pro-Republican, pro-Law and Order rally in New York City this year." Originally, the event was free to all, as long as they RSVP'd before the Oct. 3 event.

At one point before the rally, the organizers noticed that the RSVPs skyrocketed suddenly, and tens of thousands of people were responding and asking to attend the pro-Trump rally.

"We had about 1,500 RSVPs from Staten Islanders. Then all of a sudden we started seeing the numbers tick up to 10,000, 15,000, 75,000," Staten Island GOP chairman Brendan Lantry told The New York Post. "We knew something was not right."

The organizers spotted that the uptick of activity started on Sept, 19. Most noticeably, the purported rally-goers were from out-of-state. Not to mention that they had some questionable names, such as "Ivana Punchyou," "F**kyou Trump," and "Grabemby DePussay." Is that last name French?

Lantry's wife Jessica did some investigating and found the source for the fake rally participants — TikTok. A 19-year-old TikTok user who goes by the name of "Felisrae" posted a video on Sept. 19, subtly hinting for her followers to claim tickets to the Trump rally.

The 51-second video is captioned, "if you're from new york or just HATE this idiot."

"Do you hate this orange b**** as much as I do? It turns out that Trump is having a rally in Staten Island," the teen says on the TikTok video. "So what I did was, I reserved myself two seats. But I'm pretty sure that I have something to do that day. So, do what you want with this information."

The video racked up over 550,000 views and more than 154,000 likes on TikTok.

The goal of the video is to cause Trump supporters not be able to attend because the tickets will be gobbled up by people who had no intentions of attending. This troll tactic was employed in June for a Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

That campaign event was not as popular as other Trump events, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) celebrated the lower-than-expected turnout. "Y'all make me so proud," she said.

"Actually you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/ fake ticket reservations & tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted at former Trump campaign senior advisor Brad Parscale.

To deter the anti-Trump saboteurs from influencing the rally, Lantry added a non-refundable $5 fee to the online sign-up form. But the army of trolls were unflinching in their attempt to affect the rally.

"But they kept coming," Lantry said. "From Colorado and California and Chicago and Houston, all over the country."

The Staten Island GOP said that the organization sold more than 3,000 vouchers and collected $15,785 from people who had no intention of attending the rally.

To make matters worse for the Trump-hating trolls, the rally was attended by 2,500 people to deliver well-wishes to President Donald Trump. No seats were sold since it was an open-air rally. The attempted sabotage didn't affect attendance whatsoever.

"They hate this president so much that they're willing to donate to the Republican Party to troll him," Lantry gloated. "Thank you, progressives, for helping us put on a successful rally."
